The author tried hard to put in as many N3 grammar points in as possible, and I appreciate that.
However, the stories are so freaking cringy sometimes, or bland for most of the rest. For example, Tawaphon - who’s supposed to have such a good sense of humour - says Mira-san’s lover/partner/girlfriend is Japanese. 😩

My rating really is about at 3.5 but the average score on here is 4.0 and I do not wish to drop it lower than that, mainly because I sincerely appreciate the existence of these two Miller-san books. They have helped get me into reading in 日本語, and that's exactly why they were written.
My favorite chapter by far was the ラジオ体操(Radio Taisou) chapter.
Mira-san's adventure continued from Osaka to Tokyo. If you enjoy the Minna no Nihongo textbook and you have passed JLPT N4, this book is so easy and enjoyable to read.
