Most stories are just all right and some mildly entertaining, but none stood out to me in particular.

Such a fan of new takes on greek myths

Apuleius's take on Cupid and Psyche is interesting and the greek idea of her being the soul and connected to chrysalis's and butterflies. I was watching a new netflix show Yasuke with a young girl who taps into her soul powers and manifests herself as a giant astral butterfly and I was like 'someone read themselves some greek or egyptian mythology'.

I like the whole idea that Psyche ie the soul is literally the name of the butterfly in formal ancient greek and nekydallon means 'shell of the dead' meaning the transformation or metamorphosis from caterpillar to butterfly. Makes me think of medallion passed from one shell to another in a reincarnation cycle like how some sea life passes their shell on to one type of life to the next even sometimes using our junk like bottles and cans to be their home.

The idea of Persephone's beauty being the essence of death is dark too and perfect for the queen of hell and makes Aphrodite even more of a jealous bitch for having Psyche get it from Hades. Dangerous makeup! Like the makeup that killed the elite in Paris long ago because of its radioactivity which made the ladies "glow".

After waxing on the mythos I suppose I should mention the actual anthology. I dug all the stories but I think my favorite was the tale with Daemon. Mr Wednesday made me think of Norse mythology so I am glad it didn't go that way.
