After 14 years on walkabout to New York, Colorado, Texas and Tokyo, I swam home to spawn in shoreline Connecticut. A recovering computer programmer, I’ve worked in the seismic industry, semiconductor electronics, academic research in biology and environmental science, and online teaching simulators.

I live alone, and enjoy swimming, walking, and crafts. I grow vegetables indoors, until my crops spill outside and down the driveway. I read voraciously, curious about everything, especially how things work.

You Can’t Trust Anyone in this Universe!

10 years have passed since the last voyage of the Thrive. This is either book 5 of the Thrive space opera or it’s book 1 of a new Prosper series. Either way, it’s going to be a fun ride!

Sass and Clay have gone off in search of the secrets of mankind’s arrival into this corner of the universe, while the rest of the Thrive crew have stayed on Mahina to make their fortunes. This is all well and good until a corrupt populist politician rallies the “settler class” in an election that makes him a near dictator and sets up the entrepreneurial Thrive alumni for confiscations and to be out and out robbed. More importantly, the new leadership, in pandering for votes, has wrecked the R&D investments that are enabling progress across the moribund settlements in this solar system.

Wanted by the new government, Captain Ben Acosta rallies the old crew and heads off into space, just ahead of the government’s thugs. Acosta and crew have a plan to set everything right, but it won’t be easy—especially since it’s becoming so difficult to know who can be trusted and who is simply working their own angle. Our old friends have plenty of challenges to overcome before they can safely go home again, but there are big opportunities to “prosper,” as well.

Four and a half stars

This was the best book of the ‘Thrive’ series. I found it hard to put the book down. It had excitement, drama, scientific discovery, romance, espionage and death defying acts.

Ringship prosper (Thrive#5)

Thank you Ginger Booth , for writing (Thrive # 5) as I call it. I've always thought that the invention of warp drives would be the qualifying event that will unite humanity as a true space faring civilization and bring us out into the Galaxy as legitimate explorers. It's nice to see someone else thinks the same way. This series is getting better and better , the scene in which Ben says his possible last goodbye made me cry. And I'd like to also thank you for your positive portrayal of gay couple, love is love and your characters show that very well. Well done!.

Another Great Read by Ginger!

Ginger has done her usual great job. If you've read this far in the series, you'll be happy to find most of the original Thrive crew reunited, and to follow the further exploits of familiar friends like Kassidy, Ben, Cope, Eli, Teke, Zan, Nico and others. If the Thrive universe is new to you, this book starts a new adventure and you can begin here. As with all of Ginger's books, this one is freestanding--no cliffhangers.

Ringship Prosper is set in a unique star system with several totally different societies. The interaction between individuals of the different societies is fascinating. People from orbitals, moons, asteroids and other worlds live, love, fight and accomplish amazing feats together.

I really enjoy Ginger's books. I've read all of her novels and would not hesitate to recommend any of them. Ringship Prosper may be the best yet and I can't wait to see what comes next.

In this book, Ginger takes us on the next phase of our journey of the survival of the human race. We leave Sass and Clay behind to their own adventures and begin a thrilling ride with the rest of the crew. The group hold their own well and more than prove their mettle. The story takes place 10 years after the close of the last book and there are a lot of changes and growth that have to be dealt with and worked out between the characters. We learn a lot more about all of the worlds in the system with treachery and secrecy thrown in. I highly recommend that you buy this book and enjoy Ginger Booth’s fantastic new addition into her science fiction series.

First time following an author

Please write the rest off Sass’s story Ms Booth! I really enjoyed this series. The calm act books were great, too. I’d love a prequel/sequel bridging how Earth died and Sass took off. But even more than that, I’d love to read about sass returning to earth. With Clay, Ben, and Kassidy. But back to the Prosper- I enjoyed the suspense without as many long drawn out details. I think the author is entrusting her readers to assume a touch of suspension of disbelief and forgiveness. It’s how we read for fun. I think you are a great writer and storyteller. Impressed as hell!

When Thrive headed off to find the Ganymedans who ran the settlers ships, they committed to an absence of decades. The remaining crew was flying an interplanetary ship, the Prosper, with engineer Ben as the captain. Bad things were happening on Mahina, leaving the formerly very wealthy crew of the Thrive destitute. An experimental drive that would wipe out the long transit times for interstellar travel might just be the answer they need, as well as a revolution on Mahina.
The story continues to be a lot of fun. 5th book in the series that I have read in as many days.

Another excellent story.

Fantastic follow up in the series. The character development continues to evolve and the stories continue to fascinate. And what is a good story without a little intrigue, this one has enough to satisfy. Another must read from Ginger Booth.

Wild Ride for Prosper

Loving this series and its deep creative characters. Loved the descriptions of warp! Rooting for the characters and think how much I want to get started on the next book. A few small edit errors. Might be only a fellow writer would notice.

still loving it

This is such a good series— it continues to delight and amuse. I love that there are lgbt and poly characters and it’s treated as incidental but well integrated to the storyline which is just a fun arc.

A very different book int he series and that makes it a slower start. Nevertheless it's worth staying with and once it gets going I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now on to book 7.
