This is one of those books. You know the ones I'm talking about. The ones that deserve more than 5 stars. This isn't just a romance novel. This is a book about empowerment. And overcoming obstacles thrown in your way. It's about being the best you can be, even when you don't know how you are going to get out of bed. Needless to say, this book really struck a chord with me.
Monica is a strong woman. She knows what she wants in life, and is determined to get it. She is a queen and life is her kingdom. But when a tragedy throws her down, it takes a special friend and a special guy to lift her up and show her that she can still be that queen, that she still has what it takes to rule her kingdom.
Stocks was a Marine. Until a mission went wrong, and he came home missing part of himself. It took time, and hard work, but he is finally beginning to find out who he is. He's finally beginning to put his life back together. When Monica loses her way, he sees a bit of his struggle in what she is facing, and is determined not to let her give up.
This is an absolutely amazing book. Monica and Stocks both have faced tragedy, have both had to pull themselves back onto the road that leads to the rest of their lives. This book is about family, friendship, support, and love. I just can't say how much I adored this book!

Monica and Gage are another fabulous addition to the Dead Presidents MC series .
A chance meeting , one glorious night, no promises.... but neither can forget . A series of events . Now they both find themselves at a new point in their lives .
Monica is a tough as nails pilot that can run with the best of them . She will not be tied down . When a detour in her career leads her down a different path she soon realizes who her true friends and family are . She is still tough on the outside but letting your friends help does not mean that you are weak and she may need a nudge to figure that part out.
Gage is a Marine at heart and always will be but when a tragic accident ends his military career as he knows it he is left to rediscover the new man that he has become . Meeting Monica was not in his plans but he soon realizes that helping others also may help him along the way!

Gage 'Stocks' Sinclaire is a Marine Vet who got hurt while serving, and unfortunately, it was bad enough to be sent home. The Dead Presidents MC helped give him purpose, and yet, he can't seem to find a female who doesn't look at him with pity in their eyes, until the day Monica Johnson walked in the door. They spent a super HOT night together, but that's all that it was meant to be, as she was leaving the next day. See, Monica is a fighter pilot in the Air Force, and it's the only thing that she's ever wanted to be, so work is her significant other. However, a tragic accident lead to her losing her wings, as physically couldn't do it anymore, and the vibrant, take no prisoners, feisty lady was no more, as she couldn't even bother to get out of bed. Her mother was so frustrated at not being able to help her, that she called in Monica's bestie, who brought Stocks with her, as they were taking her home with them. It was just what the doctor ordered, though it wasn't easy, but it was realistic in my eyes. I don't want to describe much more, so this review will be short & sweet since it's sooooo much better to read Betting on Stocks for yourselves instead of reading reviews, especially if you want to find out if Monica started to heal with Stocks help, well, you know what to do. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Harley Stone does such a wonderful job with this series. Each book is about a different veteran and the love he finds and the emotional/physical hurdles they overcome in life. She does a wonderful job handling these sensitive subjects and does it with talent and class.
Gage aka Stocks and Monica had chemistry before but she wasn't one to settle down and had things she wanted to accomplish in life that didn’t involve love. Gage has been thinking about her for months never expecting to see her under the circumstances that they are reunited with. Gage is the perfect person to help Monica and they end up helping each other in the long run.
I really loved Stocks and Monica's story but then again I have fallen in love with each and every Dead President MC members stories. You don't have to read the others in order to love these but I am one that love to do so and find it more enjoyable that way since you anticipate each ones stories. Another one I would highly recommend!

So, so many emotions. I feel like I have been on the psychiatrist couch for a week baring my soul. If you are one that cries easily, read in private and have tissues ready.
With each and every Dead Presidents book, I learn more, I understand more, I feel more. Betting on Stocks had this happening in spades. Stocks is the guy that Havoc insisted in staying in jail to recruit. Havoc chose well. Stock is out of jail and trying to move one, find a job, find purpose. Who knew is purpose was approaching him at a housewarming party? Are we sure these guys are part of a MC?
Naomi and Eagle have welcomed domestic bliss and wouldn't think of celebrating their new home without Monica, Naomi's flight BFF. Monica is a strong independent woman that knows what and who she wants. This night she wants Stocks. When she doesn't react to his prosthetic he wants her even more. One night stands can leave one wanting, remembering, and determined to be more.
Tragedy has Monica crashing back into Stocks' life. Resistance is futile. He will allow for nothing less than her returning to the queen he knows that she can be. The journey will wreak havoc on your heart.
The work will exhaust Monica and Stock but bring strength to the reader. They are an inspiration. The Dead Presidents members are the professor. I was the reader, humbled by the struggles of characters in the book and the veterans we don't honor enough.

I must say up front that I just love Harley Stones Dead Presidents series and her amazing way with the written word. These books always hit on the emotional side with bits of humor thrown in, MC action and of course romance. The series is not your typical MC mind you, as the Dead President’s are totally legit and are a safe haven for servicemen struggling with returning to day to day life.
Stocks is just such a man. His return home wasn’t on his terms. But with the help of the Dead Presidents MC he’s coping with his injury and his prior life choices. At one of their parties he meets a vivacious fighter pilot, Monica and sparks fly, at least for the night. When a horrible accident ends Monica’s flying days, she spirals out of control. Remembering their amazing one night stand can Stocks possibly find a way to show Monica while she may not fly anymore she is still worthy of soaring?
This is a fantastic addition to a great series. I highly recommend both the book and the series. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars for this must read.

This is a book about empowering. A beautiful book about overcoming obstacles. A book about friends helping you when you need it the most (even if you don’t want to).

Stocks & Monica's story is a great combination of hot & sweet. I love the banter & the playfulness of their relationship, and the way they each help the other recognize the good things in their lives. There are some tough situations, emotional scenes, and tears might be shed. But the overall sense in their story is hope, healing, and of course L O V E.
I also really enjoy the sense of family & friendship in this series as a whole. That makes every story pop & shine for me!! : )

I've always thought it was easier for me to deal with being handicapped because I was born with a degenerative disease. It's something I always had. This book just reinforces that belief as we see Monica as a Queen with the life she always dreamed of having to losing it all in an accident and how she deals with it. At first by hiding and ignoring everything then deciding to live fully.
There was one thing that really threw me. During the first sex scene Monica's nipples are described as pink. She's Black her nipples definitely wouldn't be pink. It tossed me right out of the story. I had to stop reading for a while and when I went back I skimmed the other sex scenes in case there were similar problems.
The author responded to my comment on the nipples and said she fixed the issue. She was really nice and professional in her comment to me. I put the comment I the review so others weren't distracted without any expectation of the author reading it. With so many Cray Cray authors attacking reviewers it was so refreshing.

Monica is Naomi’s best friend and when she’s injured in a life altering and career ruining accident, she refuses to reach out. Naomi learns about this a few months after the fact and is livid. She enlists Stocks help as she knows he can help her but also because they’ve hooked up once before❣️
A great story and I’m hoping we get a story for Bull and Lily next (not necessarily together)😢

Betting on Stock is the 7th book in the Dead presidents Series and it is a wonderfully written, beautiful book looking at Gage ‘Stocks’ Sinclaire and Monica Johnson’s story. We already know some of Stocks story from previous books in this series but here we get a harder look at the wonderful man that he is and just how sweet he is. He meets Monica at a housewarming party.
Monica is an Air-Force fighter pilot, she’s ballsy, sexy and knows what she wants and she wants a night of sexy time with Stocks. Fast forward months later and Monica’s life is in turmoil after a serious accident has left her dreams and spirits crushed.
This book was all about redemption, finding new dreams and dealing with PTSD in a world that really doesn’t understand it. You feel so much sympathy for both Stocks and Monica and what they have been through and there are moments which are just harrowing when you’re wondering what the characters are going to do. There are some scene-stealing scenes between Naomi and Monica (best friends forever) as well as some emotional and sexy scenes between Stocks and Monica.
This story is about hope, healing and finding your true self. It is a definite page-turner and most of the gang from the previous books turn up which just adds to the magic of this book. The main character in this book may not need saving as she can do it herself, but she sure has a sexy man, friends and family to help her along the way.
A must read for fans of this series and MC fans in general.

This is for me. I need to get a few feelings out and my diary/journal just won't do.
Monica turned me off soo much I couldn't make it past the first chapter.
Now this is just based on personal preferences not the writers abilities.
I'm not always a fan when the alpha lead male in a story is a bit too on the predatory side.
It honestly depends on how it's done as to whether it's gonna land right for me to enjoy.
If he comes off like he "owns" the heroine from the moment they meet and the h's panties are soo eager
to melt she's practically all his from the moment they say "hello".
I start to check out and lose interest. He needs to work for it and her.
I might believe in love at first sight but that doesn't mean he or she shouldn't work for
what they get.
Monica just hit the wrong buttons for me,right off. I 'm not into "Female led" relationships w/the woman in charge. That was the feel of these two the moment it starts.
And Hey,I know I'm a one chapter wonder,soo I could be completely wrong about how things go down.
But book can be like a blind date. Even if you've read the author before,you can still be turned off in
the first five minutes and want to walk away. and I did. Sometimes you can stick it out and sometimes you just can't.
I know when writing soo many different characters for many different couples,you might not like them all.
I wanted to. But Monica was too much like the female "Link" or something, I don't know.

Stocks ist ein ehemaliger Marine, der nicht unversehrt aus seinem letzten Einsatz zurückgekehrt ist. Die Dead Presidents fangen ihn da auf, wo er es braucht. Als er dann auf einer Party Monica kennenlernt, die ihn sehr beeindruckt, ist es für ihn ein Grund, weiterzumachen
Monica und Stocks sind ein tolles Couple. Monika haben wir schon in Band 4 ein wenig kennenlernen können, sie ist auch eine Pilotin und mit Naomi befreundet. Sie weiß, was sie will und für sie geht nichts übers Fliegen mit den Kampfjets. Wir dürfen auch ein wenig in ihre Vergangenheit eintauchen, wo wir merken, wie zielstrebig sie ist und sich von nichts und niemanden aufhalten lässt
Doch ein Unfall raubt ihr alles, was sie sich aufgebaut hat. Daher holt ihre Freundin Naomi sie zu den Dead Presidents, damit Naomi ihr in den Allerwertesten treten kann um wieder Lebensmut zu finden. Dabei helfen ihr die anderen Clubfrauen, aber auch Stocks gibt sie nicht auf. Und durch ein Ereignis findet Monica auch wieder eine neue Aufgabe

WOW!! Just WOW!! I don't know where to begin!! Betting on Stocks is the seventh book in Harley Stone's Dead Presidents MC series and I can honestly say that each book is this amazing series get's better and better!!
This is Stocks and Monica's story and what an amazing story it is!! Their story is so much more than just a romance, it's about overcoming obstacles in your way to become who you want to be, who you were meant to be!! It's about finding love after you have lived through a tragedy that you were sure was going to destroy you!! Alongbwith that comes some romance and these two have no problems with chemistry they are definitely HOT together!! As always with the Dead Presidents MC comes the family, love and friendships that we have come to know which in my opinion brings everything together!! Another five star read by Harley Stone and I can't wait for the next book in this amazing MC series!! I definitely recommend reading this series in order as there is so much backstory built throughout the books that just makes it so much more amazing!! I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this book!!

Betting on Stocks delves into the lives of two people who have suffered from a life changing injury not your usually MC romance but it is wonderfully written and gives you just some insight into what it would be like to get your life back on track when you aren't sure anymore what your path is!
Stocks a wounded marine spent one night with the woman who he called 'His Queen' but she left the next day back to her life in the Skys as a pilot. Monica has been obsessed with flying since since before she could walk now flying F-16's and training pilots she is in her element. But one night changed everything and now she having to come to terms with life on the ground
It has been 6 months since Monica last saw Stocks but when he is presented with the opportunity to help heal 'His Queen' he grasps it. As both spend more time together they also have the opportunity to start a new chapter in their lives when they are given the chance to help women who need a new start in life.

Great Read
The book was well written and it depicted well the despair some of our servicemen feel after loosing a limb and their career. In Monica's case it was even worse because it didn't happen while doing her job. I loved her sisterhood with Naomi although I wish they had more interactions. It's also a shame that we didn’t touch more on Stocks ptsd because obviously he had issues. I understand that working in a high pressure environment was not for him but I would have liked for him to use his skills to further the club's and members development. After reading about her passion for the ring and flying I was somewhat disappointed by the solution the author came out with. What she's doing in very noble but in addition to the causr she could have taught self defense to women or with her settlement set up a helicopter company or a flying school or something. Not being in the Air Force doesn't mean not being a pilot or teaching others.

If you feel like you a ready to read a book with a feeling of that frog in your throat because you are trying to hold your tears back then this one will do it for you. Let’s meet Monica and Stocks. These two have meet before and Monica did a number on stocks without even knowing. Now Monica is a Queen. Like seriously this girl is the girl you want in your corner. She is your hype girl/ride or die girl. Then something happens and it brings her and Stocks back together. Now her world was rattled and she has no idea how to move forward. Stocks helps her in ways she did not see coming and we start to the old Monica come back. She also doesn’t realize that she is helping him as well. It was heartbreaking to read the turmoil they both went through but they help each other and grow. This is definitely a book that inspires empowerment and seeing things differently. I got to say this was great and we get to see a happily ever after.

Joining the Dead Presidents and earning his patch gave him a place to belong and he tried but it was one hot woman who made him believe in himself again. One night was all he thought they'd ever have.
When the strongest woman he'd ever seen was in a devasting accident he had the chance to not only see her again but help her realize her life may not be what it was but she could have a new life.
This is an amazing story of strength and honor. The club helps vets adjust to life after the military offering the camaraderie felt with the friendship of other soldiers. Each story is amazing as is this one. They can stand alone but are even better as a series. I read them all and will read them again.

I've like what we have seen with Monica so far in this series. I loved how bold and herself at the start, she knocked Stocks off his game, he was kind of forced (in the best way) to go along with her. So it was sad to see Monica thrown off her game, beaten down by bad luck. I loved that Naomi turned to Stocks to help with her with Monica. Stocks was always there to help, he understood Monica in a way that no one else could. But the most important part is that Stocks still saw Monica as the queen she was at their first encounter. I loved how time and time again he showed Monica that with his words and actions. And as much as Stocks helped Monica, she helped him too, was there to help him find a new direction in life. I loved how the two of them teamed together for their future, it was perfect for them both!

OK so I loved just the glimpse of Monica that we got in Landing Eagle. A sassy strong and dedicated woman so when I read this my heart broke for her.
I started laughing about her initial interactions with Stocks and Crying when her accident ruined her dreams.
It was a rollercoaster of emotions and I just felt completely drawn in to this book. Harley Stone wrote so well that I couldn't put it down and was completely involved in their story.
Stocks and Monica were ideal partners and he done a great job at getting her to realise this and helping her get a new reason for living.
Hard to say too much without spoiling it for others but I will say no matter how much I have enjoyed the series this by far is my favourite.
A must read for all romance readers!

I don't even know where to start. This book... it has everything that makes a book great.
Stocks is not only sexy as sin, but his character has mettle. A former Marine that lost his leg, and most of his unit, in an explosion, he fought the obstacles that were thrown at him even when he didn't really want to.
Monica is everything that little girls want to grow up to be. Aside from her Air Force career, she's confident, talented, relentless and knows her worth and won't stand for anyone second guessing her....until the accident.
This story will run you through the ringer of emotions. You'll envy their confidence (not just Stocks and Monie), laugh at their verbal sparring, get heated during 'those' times, and melt when they show their hearts.
I can't wait to find out which of the guys is next to tell his story.

She has a devastating accident a few months later and she feels her life is over. Naomi has no intention of letting her sit in her misery, and drags her back to the Dead Presidents for help. Will two wounded veterans be able to help each other see a new purpose in life? Will they be able to forge a love that helps them overcome any trials thrown their way? This book was a good read, but didn’t have the action of the first few in this series.

Great comeback!
The characters were real... well, as much as they could be lol. They had personalities, in depth backgrounds (one shown and the others’ told), strong side characters (they are all from previous books, but this book would be perfectly fine to read as a standalone, unlike previous books). The characters had problems, with solutions and set backs. It was enjoyable to see their character development and relationship grow.
This book features a reasonable time frame, sort of. At least its better than the 72 hour romance in the last book. I believe this one occurs over a weeks, at most 3 months. Still, the timeframe was smooth.
Overall, the story is enjoyable and one I will probably read again in the future.
