She dreams of happily ever after. He doesn’t believe in love. What happens if their hearts belong together?
Londyn Montgomery has had enough of doing what her parents want, especially when they’re determined to marry her to a man who isn’t faithful to her. She decides to run away, hoping to find out who she is and what she wants out of life. In her desire to escape a life of being controlled, she speeds straight past Sheriff Owen Hudson and narrowly avoids a ticket. She vows to stay off his radar, but destiny has other ideas, placing Owen and Londyn on a path that leads straight to a future neither one of them planned for.
Londyn Montgomery is tired of living her life the way everyone else thinks she should live it. Every little detail is planned out for her, right down to what she's going to wear and who she's going to marry. But enough is enough. She's determined to take her life back and figure out who the real Londyn Montgomery is.
Because of an incident that happened 10 years ago, Owen Hudson has sworn off women. He doesn't believe in love and there's no way that he'll ever marry. However, he didn't plan on Londyn speeding into his life and making him think twice about the vow he made all those years ago.
The more time Londyn and Owen spend together, the harder it becomes to hide their growing feelings for each other. Neither of them feel like they're in a position to start a new relationship. But as the days go by, they will have to decide which path to take. Do they let fear of the unknown continue to rule their lives? Or do they take a chance on love and see what kind of HEA fate has in store for them?
*dreamy sigh*
Y'all can I just tell you how much I adored this book? By the end of chapter one I knew I was going to love it. And it only got better from there. I loved the interactions between Londyn and Owen. The chemistry between these two was sizzling! *fans herself* Talk about swoony! I couldn't get enough of these two!
Add to that some pretty amazing side characters and you have the perfect afternoon read. I am really loving this small town vibe. I cannot wait to read the other Hudson brothers books. I think I'm most excited for Jaxon. I don't know why, but he's already got my heart.
This is another home run by Ms. Anderson! I love reading her books. I can always count on them to give me a much needed break from reality. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!
And of course we cannot forget about my casting. I. Am. In. Love! What do you think?
I'm finding that this author is the queen of writing the cutest first encounters ever! And don't worry--the fun didn't stop there. I couldn't wipe the dorky permagrin off my face throughout this one, although there were times when the grin turned into a full fledged smile of swoon, because this one was super swoony!
Brooding and handsome Sheriff Owen swept me right off my feet as the instant and intense attraction zinged between him and Londyn. I absolutely loved Owen and Londyn, flaws and all, and their chemistry was flammable--I couldn't get enough. It was both heartwarming and heartbreaking to watch Londyn find herself, but the Southern charm that oozed through the pages definitely helped and gelled it all together. I loved everything about this story!
I cannot wait for the rest of the Hudson brothers series because these men are gentlemen, devastatingly handsome, and insanely intriguing. Bring them on!
London and Owen have a cute first meet! Well, maybe not fun for them, but fun for me to read about. Their second meet might just top the first one! From there the attraction grows and they sure fan those flames of attraction by being in such close proximity to each other! London is kind and tried so hard to be accepted by those around her. She absorbs the tenderness, kindness and love she is offered like a sponge. Owen is determined to keep things from getting serious but he just cannot help himself. He is drawn to Londyn and cannot look away. I loved it all. 😍
This book had a fantastic cast of characters and I cannot wait to see them in future books. The stage has been set for the next Hudson brother and I how I don't have to wait too long to read it! This book falls right in my sweet spot for contemporary romance. (Clean)
I was sucked in right from the start and had a hard time putting it down. From the super fun “meet cute” to the end I was hooked. I liked Londyn and Owen, they had great chemistry together and a fun, believable romance.
I look forward to reading more in this serious and getting to know Owens brothers better!! Great read.
Content: Clean romance, no language or violence. Rating: PG
Romance, clean, contemporary; series, but stand alone read Londyn and Owen's story was a cute light read, although some of the things her family did were awful. A HEA in all sense of the word, and cute Beauty and the Beast retelling in a modern setting (although Owen wasn't the wealthy one). More of a 3.5 for me as a reader. Lots of side characters that are in other stories, so if you like seeing connections, it is a perfect read. Told from alternating points of view, it was nice to see how they both struggled with their attraction, not thinking it would really come to anything with where they were both coming from. Honest, hurting hearts are one of my favorite kind of HEA's.
I LOVE contemporary romance! Cindy Roland Anderson is one of my very favorite authors. She writes books that are full of great characters and romance.
I loved Londyn in this one. She is trying to figure out who she is. As a hotel heiress, she’s been told what she should do, wear, and even who she should marry her whole life. But she’s done with that! So she heads for South Carolina in a fast car and gets pulled over by the local sheriff very first thing for speeding. This part was so funny! She made a mistake that Sheriff Owen calls her on.
Owen is such a great character. He doesn’t believe in love anymore because of something that had happened in an earlier relationship. But he falls for Londyn hard and fast. The chemistry and love story between these two was so sweet. I loved the way they both tried to sacrifice for each other.
And the setting of The Royal Palm is one of my very favorites. I needed a beach read right now. And this one was perfect for that.
I loved the way Owen has so many brothers. I can’t wait to read all the other books about them!
I have been dreaming of sand and sun lately and reading this book made me crave it even more. I'm just going to close my eyes and keep dreaming and hopefully at some point soon I'll be there. *wink, wink* Ok, probably won't happen anytime soon but I can dream. And if you're like me then you can grab this book (or another book with a beach setting) and be swept away to sand and surf.
Londyn and Owen had me giggling while I was reading their story. There were so many scenes between these two that were just humorous. Their first meeting, and their second meeting...oh my funniness! I can totally relate to meeting number two...well, not totally, kind of. The spider aspect. But not for me, for my hubby. Ha! Ok, so I can't totally relate at all. But I have plenty of family members who would be acting like Londyn in their second meeting due to the spider. Hilarious! And add to that spider quite a bit of misunderstanding and you have another fun scene.
These two characters both have some baggage and struggles. Family and unrequited love and heartache and sorrow. Mix it all together and you have two people who are a little more shielded to meeting new people as well as to opening their hearts up to any possibility of love. But the heart knows what it wants. When outside forces conspire against these two, they'll have to really fight hard to keep their hearts separated. And y'all the struggle is real. ;-)
I loved the chemistry between Londyn and Owen. There are some real sweet moments between them as well as with other characters of the story. I loved watching them discover what they really want in their lives. What isn't truly important and what is. *Happy sigh* There are some twists and turns but I loved it all. I'm looking forward to the next Hudson brother book. These brothers are the best!
Content: Clean. Some kissing but nothing further.
I received a copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
This was such a cute and sweet story. It moved a little fast, but there were many cute moments where I giggled or sighed in delight with the swoony yet clean romance. Can’t wait to read the next one in the series!!!
This is an amazing and breathtaking love story with a lot of enjoyable as well as endearing moments as these outstanding characters journey towards unconditional love and family.
From the moment this couple met, I knew I was going to love this book. This is a sweet, charming, and heartwarming story. It is a clean story with no cursing or sex, it is not a Christian romance.
Owen is the Sheriff and he first meets Londyn when he pulls her over for speeding. He's brooding and kind of grumpy at times (but I still loved him). The way he talked to and treated Londyn had me swooning (LOL).
Londyn is a sweetheart. I adored her, heck I adored both of them. She's kind, friendly, feisty, and funny. She's got really awful and controlling parents. All she wants is to break away from them and be free.
Their romance is sweet. The chemistry between them is sizzling. Their kisses swoon-worthy. I devoured this book, I enjoyed it that much.
The proposal was epic! I want to see this book made into a movie just so I can see that proposal play out. Loved the HEA.
Finished the book with a smile and a warm heart, my criteria for a 5 star rating.
I'm very impatiently waiting for the author to write the stories of the other brothers.
I absolutely loved how this story began. I hate when I read a book and have a hard time getting interested and involved in the story or when the main characters take forever to meet. This story however, sucked me in from the first page. I loved both the characters and their background stories. I enjoy the dialogue between the two main characters but wish there would have been more story development of the main character and her parents. I would have liked to see an example of a powerful female character standing up to her parents and insisting that she was able to live her life without their dictating every move. Instead, it kind of glossed over the whole thing and didn't have the resolution with the parents I was hoping for. She did end up standing up for herself in the end but didn't tell any of that in the story. I was also interested in the brothers and excited to read more of their stories. Overall, a good read and worth the time.
Escaping from her controlling family and boyfriend, Londyn Montgomery heads to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to stay with the friend of a friend. Unfortunately, she has a few misunderstandings with the local sheriff---son of the woman she's staying with. While she hides out from the press and her family, can she discover herself and a new love at the same time?
This was a fun cast of characters and I'm excited to read all the Hudson Brothers romances. Londyn is endearing as she tries to make life decisions, and courageous in making her life fit her desires. Owen is a little stiff at first, but his mom softens him up nicely. The family antics are fun and we're given a small peek into the possible storylines to come. A clean romance with a swoon-worthy ending.
This book will be harder for someone with no siblings to understand. There is a love rivalry between siblings, especially brothers, that the only child really can’t understand. The Hudson brothers were A-one examples of the male species. The humor starts with Londyn claiming to be a friend of the sheriff, when stopped for speeding. It goes wrong when she calls the number the helpful officer (Owen Hudson) gives her and “… unclipped the ringing cell from his belt and lifted it to his ear. “This is the sheriff……”. From there is goes to her calling in an intruder call to 911 and the intruder is the sheriff in his mother’s home. Now you add in the sudden unexpected return home of Zack Hudson and his constant tweaking of his brother’s jealousy and you have a very funny story. I look forward to learning the fate of the remaining 4 brothers.
I am no stranger to the talent of Cindy Roland Anderson, having now read fifteen of her works and awarded five stars to about 90% of them. Ms. Anderson is a force to be reconned with in the clean romance genre. It appears that Catch a Falling Star is the initial offering in a possible five-volume series. If not, I strongly encourage such a series. This opening salvo of a possible five-book series focusses on Owen Hudson. The stories of Walker, Jackson, Zack, and Easton would make a magnificent series. Other reviewers have more than adequately presented much of the storyline, so I will not elaborate further in that regard. Suffice it to say that from the opening paragraphs I was captured and entranced by Ms. Anderson’s significant ability to spin a story that kept me glued to my iPad until I finished the last page. I heartily award five-stars for this outstanding clean romance.
I really enjoyed this clean romance about Londyn, a wealthy, beautiful woman who is hiding from her parents who are trying to force her to marry a philandering, wealthy man from a politically powerful family. All of her life her parents have dictated her plans to her and now she wants to make her own choices and to figure out who she really is. Enter Owen, a handsome sheriff in Myrtle Beach, SC where Londyn is hiding. They had an awkward first meeting when Owen pulled Londyn over for speeding and it took them a while to acknowledge their mutual attraction. If you enjoy a story with interesting, likable characters, a bit of southern sass, and clean romance with some swoony kisses, then this is the book for you. I loved it!
This book felt very similar to Catching Caytie. I liked the MCs and the writing but things moved really quickly. Also when the MCs share a mind blowing passionate kiss after knowing each other only a day there isn’t much room for the physical relationship to go (while keeping it a clean read). I enjoy readings Anderson’s books. I like how they are clean, easy reads I just wish there was more time spent on the relationships and why there is such attraction between the MCs. Also Georgia Patriots—funniest thing I’ve read in a while 😉Kisses only.
I love all of Cindy Rowland Anderson’s book, and each one becomes my favorite! I am so glad Catch a Falling Star is the beginning of a new series, I can’t wait to read them all because you fall in love with the Hudson family in this book! This is a sweet, clean romance that is hard to put down. Owen is sheriff of a southern town and pulls over London, a wealthy woman from New York, and on the run from her family. The fun begins! This is a must read!
For some reason I though I’d read this before. So glad I used my kindle unlimited membership to check again just in case! The Hudson brothers are going to make a great series if this first one is any indication. I adore Ms. Anderson’s books and look forward to more handsome Hudson boys like Owen and Zack! Lots of chemistry, a fun plot, not a lot of frustrating drama, and plenty of delicious kisses. 4.5 stars
I really enjoyed this clean romance about Londyn , an actress, running from her planned life and Owen, a sheriff, still recovery from a bad relationship. The chemistry between them is off the chart! Will they succumb to it and all the matchmaking? I can't wait for the rest of the Hudson Brothers books. I highly recommend.
Catch a Falling Star is an interesting, heartwarming, clean romance about a wealthy New York woman who flees to South Carolina to find herself. She finds much more than she anticipated - especially the handsome sheriff, his wonderful mother and his four brothers. This was a sweet story with a great ending. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series!
The story flowed nicely, not the usual last minute breakup and realizing there meant to be together. I Liked how Londyn was able to start making her own choices that led her to her Happily Ever After. Sweet Story! Can’t wait for the next book about the Hudson Brothers.
This was a great book and I will recommend her books to anyone who loves romance novels. She keeps you involved from page one until the end. I loved this book!
I loved the interaction between all the brothers as well as London and Owen. Dixie is a total gem. Cindy is a wonderful story teller with wonderful storyline and great characters. I’m really looking forward to the other Hudson brothers stories
This is usually one of my go to authors. I know I can count on liking her books. This book was only eh. There was a lot of rambling and inner thoughts and recaps. It’s not like I forgot what was said like 2 chapters ago.
I loved the book. Of course Cindy is one of my favorite authors. This story pulls you in and want to get to know the characters more. I am sad it ended. Can not wait for the next book!
Cindy Roland Anderson is the queen of sweet, fun, flirty romances! Her books are ideal for a relaxing evening of reading. She isn’t too over-the-top, she keeps my attention, and she’s so much fun! I loved this story and I highly recommend it.
She's always been one of my favorite authors, and this one definitely didn't disappoint. Loved the humor. Loved that it was clean. I loved it all. The epilogue was perfect. Now I want the other brother's stories!!
