Un pequeño relato erótico aderezado con toques sobrenaturales y que usa la festividad de Halloween como detonante de la historia. Le di una oportunidad porque lo vi un día gratis en Amazon y me apetecía leer algo ligero en inglés, pero, a pesar de su brevedad, a mí por lo menos me ha resultado una lectura algo compleja por el vocabulario utilizado. No es que sea lo más complicado del mundo, pero considero que usa palabras que no son excesivamente habituales. En todo caso, al tener menos de 30 páginas, se lee prácticamente de un tirón. El principal fallo que tiene es que la parte sexual resulta un poco repetitiva y pesada.
Misty, la protagonista, es una chica que no se lo ha pasado precisamente bien celebrando Halloween. No le ha gustado la frivolidad de la fiesta a la que ha acudido con sus amigos y lamenta no haber disfrutado más de la noche. Tras conseguir escabullirse y siendo ya casi medianoche, Misty se dirige a casa a través de un camino en el que no parece haber nadie, pero una criatura masculina se cruzará en su camino y la hará disfrutar de una de sus fantasías más oscuras…
Debo admitir que el principio me gustó bastante. Se nota de verdad el ambiente tenebroso y el miedo que Misty siente ante la idea de aparezca ante ella algo siniestro, pero cuando ya se topa con ese ser especial que le dará placer, pues todo se empieza a venir abajo. El asunto de Halloween pierde su encanto y solo importa el tema sexual.
Además, quiero destacar el hecho de que no me pareció una lectura muy fluida, especialmente porque describe constantemente cosas del bosque y los mismos detalles una y otra vez de la criatura. El tema erótico es original, más que nada porque la criatura no es un tío disfrazado, es realmente un ser sobrenatural y no precisamente una belleza. Pero lo que viven él y Misty… ufff… es que está muy pero que muy desaprovechado. Misty es como una marioneta, sencillamente se deja llevar, y él apenas dice un par de palabras. Al no haber diálogos, nos centramos mucho en las sensaciones, pero dichas sensaciones son casi siempre las mismas (Misty deseando tener un orgasmo).
El final es tan bueno como el principio e incluso podría decirse que no es previsible. Si determinados aspectos de la historia se hubiera desarrollado mejor, hasta podría haberme emocionado.
La puntuación real sería un 2,5/5 porque la base de la trama me pareció buena, pero no le daré el 3/5 porque eché de menos que las escenas fueran más variadas.

Good quick, hot monster read just in time for Halloween, with a male lead who is not human at all. I look forward to other stories in this series.

Quick read
This is a fast paced erotic fairy type story. Misty finds herself led into the woods where she meets the Lord of the wood. He keeps her for a time and it is pretty steamy. It is a bit difficult to read. I had to re-read some sentences because of the flow. Still a good book though.

Sometimes you just want to read about someone fucking a monster.

He hunts for a mate one who will be his queen for all time. Misty a young woman bright up with the respect of the old traditions and stories of all Hallows eve. She was out with friends at a party and was unhappy and headed home when the veil between worlds parted and she became queen to her king. I enjoyed it 💖

I think what I liked most about this short Halloweeny read was that the heroine I had a bit of a hard time picturing our beastie, but I got the important bits down :P

Phenomenal Halloween Read
OMG Sooo Good!!! Every woman needs a Mawrgol in her life, and not just on Halloween. This was sweet, hot, sexy, sensual, erotic, and thrilling. It was beautifully written with attention to the details. I could picture everything perfect in your mind as I was reading it. Kudos to Ms. Sanders this is your best yet!!!

I honestly couldn’t put this book down at first I thought it was just a little too fantastic… But then I kept reading and oh boy I couldn’t put it down for the life of me! It is definitely dark, steamy, engaging to the point where you can honestly feel the magic of the forest!

Spooky and Steamy Novella
I absolutely adored this. The perfect short story to read around this time of year.
The atmosphere that SJ Sanders creates is perfect. A chilly night and a chance encounter with a Fae being. I’m never disappointed when it comes to Sanders work.

Ever read a smutty romance novel and kinda wish they'd have sex already/have more sex?
I usually don't... I like more story if I'm honest. Still, this was very well written and I won't rate it poorly. It's a very short read of course.

Excellent short read for Halloween.
Wonderful read. I read it in 25 minutes. It was a great quick and satisfying story. I highly recommend this book if you want to curl up in a blanket with some hot tea and get all hot and bothered by the spirit of the wood haha

So, I haven't a clue what I just read....and I can't really understand or think about it, but I really liked this short story. It was short and super sexy. Now, I want more from Misty and Mawrgol. Like a full novel with what happens after the dark and dirty sex...

A quick read. Full of steamy sex with an interesting love story between a woman and her hot monster of the woods. It fits in the Halloween theme.

Well written, even though it was short, i enjoyed both characters, and it left me wanting to know more about them. This book could have easily been double the number of pages and gave us some details of the year they spent together. But it hit the spot anyway.
