Atzīšanās
Anna Gavalda (dz. 1970), franču rakstniece, savu pirmo stāstu krājumu izdeva 1999. gadā, kad vēl strādāja par franču valodas skolotāju. In 2004, her third novel, "Ensemble c'est tout," focused on the lives of four people living in an apartment house: a struggling young artist who works as an office cleaner at night, a young aristocrat misfit, a cook, and an elderly grandmother. The 600-page book is a bestseller in France and has been translated into English as Hunting and Gathering.
As of 2007, her three books have sold more than 3 million copies in France. Ensemble c'est tout was made into a successful movie in 2007 by Claude Berri, with Audrey Tautou and Guillaume Canet. The adaptation of her first novel, Je l'aimais, with Daniel Auteuil and Marie-Josée Croze, was filmed in 2009 by Zabou Breitman.
Divorced, and the mother of two, Gavalda lives in the city of Melun, Seine-et-Marne, about 50 km southeast of Paris. In addition to writing novels, she also contributes to Elle magazine.

Ma chère Anna...
I want to tell you how much your writing means to me but I do not have enough words to express my feelings. Every time reading one of your stories I am filled with gentle sadness, tristesse tendre. You make me want to cry (and I do) or smile appreciatively (and I do, too). You make me want to learn more about the people you write about because they are real, I know they are, at least for you and me. You make me want to learn things about the world because you know so much and I know so little and understand even less, but you make me want to be better. And you make me want to love this life with all the force that I can possibly muster.
I wish more people read your writing because it is stunning, and raw, and honest, and tender, and gut-wrenching (there is a Russian word "пронзительный", which I can't quite find an English equivalent for and which explains my feelings much better but I am afraid you will have to be stuck with its ugly English cousin). I wish you got all the praise and admiration that you deserve and then some. Regardless, however, you will always have a special place in this tired heart of mine.

Ja raugās kopumā, krājums nebija ne slikts, ne labs. Izklaidējošs tajā lasīšanas mirklī un tikpat ātri aizmirstams un palaižams vaļā. Īstena atvaļinājuma literatūra. Diemžēl caur šo krājumu nenonācu pie sapratnes, par ko autore tiek tik ļoti slavēta. Taču man personīgi interesanti sakrita tas, ka Anna Gavalda tulkojusi Džona Viljamsa "Stouners" franču valodā un, to nezinot, biju ielikusi telefonā lasīšanai arī "Stouneru" (kuru gan nepaspēju pabeigt atvaļinājuma laikā).

داستان کوتاه ها در حد 4 ستاره نبودن اما یه داستان به اسم " پیاده نظام " داشت که به حق، از بهترین داستان کوتاه هایی بود که تا حالا خونده بودم. اشکالی که توی بیشتر داستان ها وجود داشت این بود که اوایلش کمی گنگ بود و تا انس گرفتن با داستان کمی طول می کشید. حالا نمی دونم که نویسنده خودش این رو می خواسته یا از ترجمه بوده یا... .
از نقاط قوت کتاب هم احساس زیاد و زیبایی بود که تو داستان ها وجود داشت و هم ذات پنداری با شخصیت هارو حداقل برای من آسون می کرد

و چقدر زیبا بودم... ببخشید، آن نقاشی خیلی زیبا بود.انقدر زیبا بود که به زحمت فهمیدم تصویر خودم است.
اما بله.خودم بودم. من خوشحال.منی که قرن ها بود ندیده بودمش.منی که در واقع خیلی هم پیر نبود.خیلی هم احمق نبود.خیلی هم عقب نبود.من واقعی.من زیبا.طرحی ساده از من.منی که طرح اولیه ام کشیده میشد دوست داشته شده بود، کم اما واقعی.

Pārlasīju nejauši pēc diviem gadiem, jo nez kādēļ man šī grāmata te bija pazudusi virtuāli. Un patika tikpat stipri, kā pirmā reizē. Nu jau man ir Annas grāmatas manā plauktiņā. Un atkal pēc katra stāsta jāņem pauzīte ieelpošanai un pārdomām... Spēcīgi!
Tiešām labi stāsti galīgi neveiksmīgos vākos. Dzirkstoši, kā šampanietis. Un katrs atšķirīgs.
Man īpašais - Mans suns mirs - izcili sabūvēts, aizskāra dziļi... Annai noteikti ir suns, to sāpīgo atvadu stīgu pazīst tikai tas, kas gājis tam visam cauri. Bet protams, stāsts nav tikai par suni, galīgi nē.... Noteikti meklēšu arī citus rakstnieces darbus.

Excepto el primero, todos los demás me han parecido una maravilla. Qué bonito escribe Gavalda y qué bien describe las relaciones personales "extrañas".

Ranskalaisen Anna Gavaldan novellikirja Lohikäärmetatuointi ja muita pintanaarmuja sisältää seitsemän novellia. Ensimmäinen novelli on nimeltään Ritarirakkautta. Novellin päähenkilö on eläinkaupassa työskentelevä nuori Ludmila. Novelli on kirjoitettu nuorten puhekielellä. Ludmila kertoo eräästä ihanasta pojasta, joka runoilee hänet suostumaan mihin vain. Novelli on kipeän kepeä ihastumistarina.

دو کتاب اولی که از آنا گاوالدا خونده بودم (کاش کسی جایی منتظرم باشد و دوستش داشتم) رسما میخکوبم کردند. نویسندهای پیدا شده بود که روون و راحت و تیز و تند حرفایی رو میزد که در نزدیکترین حالت حرفای من بودن، حسهای من بودن و در دورترین حالت آشنای آشنا بودن. اما بعد از اون هرچی ازش خوندم ناامیدم کرده.
میون ۲۳۰ صفحه کتاب شاید ۴ تا جملهی حسابی پیدا بشه و شاید نشه. خیلی سطحی و بیمایه. البته ترجمه هم خوب نیست زیاد و بدتر از اون سانسوره که داستانها رو شرحه شرحه کرده. زیر پوست زندگی تجربهی خوبی نبود.

I have an unwavering love for Anna Gavalda's writing. I admit that some of her books have been bit of a miss for me, but by default, I always expect to love her new book. This was not a 5 star read for me, although, most of the short stories here proved again why I love her, and I would easily give each short story in this collection at least 3 stars, I liked them all. I honestly think short story writing is Anna Gavalda's forte. She has such a talent for observing human emotions and writing them into her characters with a very minimalistic approach. Love her. My absolute favorite in this collection was the one about a truck driver whose dog is dying. The way the narrator's recollection of his dog is told with his tragedic life events is just so moving.

Set contes molt engrescadors amb àmbits i situacions diferents que ens parlen de la solitud, el dol, el somni ("vivim una vida, en somiem una altra, però la que somiem és la veritable") i la pedagogia (sobre el condicionants adults i les relacions pares-escola).

J'aurais voulu aimer, en fait j'ai aimé, mais, comment dire? Un poil de too much et de ficelles apparentes, un poil longuet parfois. Pourtant ces histoires se lisent bien, les différentes voix sont différenciées par le style, il n'y a pas forcément de chute (c'est TB ainsi) et parfois le lecteur doit choisir (et c'est TB)

2.5 rounded down. A rare miss for me from Europa Editions. I do not have a strong objection to first person singular narration, but the voices here were not compelling for me and all blended together into a miasma of meh. Perhaps her novels are stronger.

Hurmaava uusi tuttavuus! Gavalda vei Pariisin ja Piafin tunnelmiin.
Gavaldalla on vastustamaton, herkkä ja moderni ote. Teksti on tuoretta ja kuin raikas tuulahdus suoraan Pariisista. Hän osaa ujuttautua hienosti eri-ikäisten ja eri yhteiskuntaluokkia edustavien hahmojensa ajatusmaailmaan. Tuntui että luin pieniä palasia oikeasta elämästä, en mitään sepitettyä.
Lotta Toivasen suomennos oli myös onnistunut eri tyyleissään.

April 16, 2018Olipa hirvittävän hyvä novellikokoelma. Gavalda on parhaimmillaan lyhyessä muodossa luettuna. Tarinoiden ihmiset ovat kiinnostavia kolhuineen, yllätyksiä tarjoillaan maltillisesti ja hymyilyttävästi, taso on varsin tasainen ja korkea. Nautin, nautin.

خوبی داستان کوتاه اینه که بهرحال بین همه قصه ها یه داستان خوب رو میشه پیدا کرد و خوند. هرچند بین این داستان ها فقط یکیشون نظرم رو جلب کرد. همون قصه قدیمی، داستان های سیال ذهن و اول شخصی که در اعماق ذهنش گم شده و نویسنده رو هم گیج کرده.

Anna Gavalda osaa novellit. Monesti novellien tarinat jäävät mielestäni kesken, mutta Gavalda osaa kirjoittaa tarinat ja henkilöt valmiiksi tiiviistikin. Vaikka suuresti fanitan Gavaldaa, tämä kokoelma oli jostain syystä mennyt ohi - piristävä löytö kirjastosta! (Ja kirjastolla tarkoitan tietysti kirjaston palautushyllyä, koska sen pidemmällehän ei pääse.)

Septynios istorijos apie žmones išlindusius iš kiauto. Tiksliau šarvų, kuriais atsitvėrė nuo pasaulio. Dažniausiai gindamiesi nuo skausmo.
„Pramušti šarvus“ skaičiau po knygos apie XIX a., todėl pirma istorija "Kurtuaziška meilė" truputį išmušė iš vėžių. Tačiau ne kūnas (ir seksas, Anna Gavalda yra prancūzų rašytoja) šiose istorijose yra tas šarvas, apie kurį kalba knygos pavadinimas. Šarvai yra viduje ir juos pramušti gali eilėraštis, vaikai, šuo, McDonald's, šeima, batai, merginos šypsena.
Labiausiai patiko: "Mano šuo tuoj nugaiš", "Mano gyvybės taškai", "Viengungis".
Istorija, kurios nepasigesčiau, - "Pėstininkas".
Skaitant buvo įdomu lyginti su Akvilės Kavaliauskaitės "Kūnai" (Annos Gavaldos knyga parašyta ir išleista anksčiau, tačiau aš pirma skaičiau Akvilę Kavaliauskaitę) – kaip skiriasi lietuvių ir prancūzų šarvai. Lietuviški sunkesni. Ir "Kūnuose" daugiau humoro (kalbant korektiškai – daugiau humoro, kurį pastebėjau). Todėl puse balo laimi Akvilė Kavaliauskaitė.

Skaitant buvo įdomu lyginti su Akvilės Kavaliauskaitės "Kūnai" (Annos Gavaldos knyga parašyta ir išleista anksčiau, tačiau aš pirma skaičiau Akvilę Kavaliauskaitę) – kaip skiriasi lietuvių ir prancūzų šarvai. Lietuviški sunkesni. Ir "Kūnuose" daugiau humoro (kalbant korektiškai – daugiau humoro, kurį pastebėjau). Todėl puse balo laimi Akvilė Kavaliauskaitė.

This somehow wasn't at all like I was expecting it to be. I've always struggled with French authors and novels for whatever reason (I think it could be the formal you - something I'm completely fine with in German, but in French it somehow feels fake? I know, it doesn't make sense) but this short story collection was enjoyable. I did not enjoy all the stories, the first one did not suck me in and there were some elements in the others that I found iffy. However, as a whole this was lovely. The mood in most of the stories was sad but there was hope and silver linings. I liked that the stories center around regular people, regular lives. So, overall, a good collection and possibly a very good way to get into short stories as well.

Je ne lis que très peu de nouvelles alors que c’est un genre que j’apprécie beaucoup. Je n’avais encore jamais lu, il me semble, d’Anna Gavalda et j’ai récupéré ce bouquin un peu par hasard. J’avais envie d’une lecture légère que je puisse commencer et arrêter simplement, sans prise de tête pour cette période où je suis stressée.
Et bien c’est exactement ce qu’il me fallait. J’ai pu lire ces histoires courtes à mon rythme. J’en ai aimé certaines plus que d’autres, certaines m’ont vraiment touchée, d’autres moins mais j’ai à chaque fois aimé passer un moment avec ces personnages.
Une lecture parfaite pour les vacances.

Une petite lueur d'espoir au début - car j'aime les nouvelles et je me souviens d'avoir beaucoup aimé le premier recueil de nouvelles d'Anna Gavalda - qui s'est vite éteinte.
On ne s'attache pas vraiment aux personnages, pire encore, on n'arrive même pas à s'intéresser à eux, cela paraît long et je me demande à qui s'adresse l'auteur (et parfois même, ce qu'elle veut raconter).
Il y a une expression russe plutôt péjorative, "ни уму ни сердцу". Traduite en français, elle sonne plus neutre, "ni pour l'esprit ni pour le coeur", et décrit parfaitement ce que je ressens après cette lecture.
