Have I mentioned that I love this series? I do. It is clean. The setting and characters are fantastic and it just makes me happy to read these books.

This is a little novella, mostly to tide me over until the next full book release comes out. :) Which is soon, by the way.

Rosie is an endearing character. If you enjoy 'friends turn to love' kind of books- you will really enjoy this one. There is a bit of adventure and pirates too. :)

I really liked this little novella. It’s super short, but works because so much of the character and story development was done in book 2. Dristan was sweet and Irving as annoying as ever. Hard to imagine it actually working out for him given his personality, but that appears to be where book 4 is taking us… so full steam ahead ☺️

Content:
There’s no foul language or sex. There is some violence, but it’s not excessive. The romance is clean and doesn’t go beyond a couple kisses at the end. There is magic. There’s no mention of faith or God.

Rosie of Triblue was a fun and cute novella set in Shari Tapscott’s world of Elden, which is a delightful story setting with a historical fairytale feel that I long to escape to. This story features Rosie, and while she wasn’t a character I was particularly invested in when we first met her in Anwen of Primewood, I liked her in this story.

Rosie’s romance features on a seafaring adventure to a mystical island. Throughout her journey, Rosie not only grows and becomes more than she was born to be, but discovers the true feelings of her heart as she works to overcome the pain from her first disastrous relationship with the flirtatious Irving in order to discover her feelings for the man she truly loves, her dear friend Dristan.

While I’m not overly fond of love triangles, it worked here because her previous infatuation for Irving had mostly faded, while her feelings for Dristan were founded on true emotion and a strong friendship. I adored Prince Dristan; he was a fantastic hero. I loved his friends-to-lovers romance with Rosie. It was an adorable supplement to the adventure plot and the growth of our heroine. I also enjoyed seeing more of the land of Elden.

Overall, Rosie of Triblue was a short, fun adventure tale filled with exotic locations, adventure, and the discovery of true love. And although I liked the other novella in this series, Grace of Vernow, much better, this was still a cute and enjoyable read.

Great novella

I am having a hard time putting down any book in this incredible series. Rosie’s story was no different. I recommend reading them in order to better understand and enjoy this one.

Rosie is a spitfire- I love her sass and courage to defend herself. She’s smart and knows who she is. I came to really love a certain handsome prince in this book- I’ve seen him mentioned in other stories in the series, but he really stood out here.

I am loving this series and every time I read another book I enjoy the many characters I get to revisit. A clean romance, princes and knights of old, magic and medieval fantasy and more are always a given in these books!

Adventure and romance abound in this delightful little novella! It was both fun and sweet, getting to catch up with these characters and see where this journey, and their hearts would take them! Cannot wait for Book 4, really looking forward to Irving's story (which has been building since Book1)!!!

It was fine. Nothing fancy. It’s a bit hard to think Teagan abandoning his position is awesome. Galinor is portrayed as a bit of a dummy at times, and Teagan is the philosophical one who seems like a better fit for king. Whatever.

Rosalina has male attention and their protection in spades. She gets fired from another establishment and put in jail for assaulting a patron who was a dirtbag. The royals of Triblue are the twins Bran and Dristian. Bran usually bails her out but lets her sleep overnight. She has become close to Dristian over the last year. He is judged for his recovery from the tournament and she is judged for being a former performer. They convince her to join Dristian and Irving in search for Marigold and Teagan who left looking for an abandoned island and haven’t returned. On the way a storm damages their ship and they get stranded at a private island where they run into Emerson, who is the son of an Earl but left to become a merchant and have adventures. He keeps the reputation of a pirate. He agrees to take them on after they find a pirate who sold a map to Marigold. Dristian and Rose have a night out dancing and she begins to feel feeling stir. They locate the island. Find Marigold and Teagan who have married as they were stranded on the island. Irving is furious. Dristian tells Rosie he wants to be an explorer and sail around her her. They kiss. Everyone returns to Triblue. Bran is totally cool with his younger brother marrying Rosie. Marigold reveals that Teagan is going to forgo loyalty to country, duty, and his family so he can pursue his own interests of reaching that lost city more. So Galinor will inherit.

This was an interesting story, a short novella taking place between “Seirsha of Errinton” and “Audette of Brookhaven”. It deals with the first woman Irving fell in love with – sorta. I never felt like he actually loved her, only that he was chasing a dream to escape who he was (which is what she figured as well). It was interesting to see Rosie go to a new land and become more than what she was born to be. She was born a gypsy, but she’d befriended royalty on her adventures and had earned a place among them – one she didn’t think she deserved. It was wonderful to see her go on an adventure to prove her worth to her friends, and fall in love with a new man more deserving of her than Irving while settling everything straight with Irving himself. Rosie was a wonderful character and I was really happy she got her happy ending. Even better, I was happy to see she settled with a man who wasn’t the most handsome among the princes and actually had sustained injuries in “Pippa of Lauramore” which affected him the rest of his life and something he pointed out constantly in this novella when he was trying to convince Rosie he wasn’t the right one for her (oh but he was).

This follows a character we are first introduced to in Anwen. Rosie is caught between her gypsy past and her royal friends. She struggles to accept the devotion they give her and often feels undeserving. But she is in no way a weak character. She’s the scrappy fighter, who never quits and is unwilling to be pushed around. She had a disappointing relationship with Irving (best character ever!! The princely Flynn Rider of Eldentimber) in Anwen. Here he tries to win her back. This book is a great story of love and an even better story of learning the difference between a lasting emotion and a volatile attraction. I loved this story, but would have liked to see more. Rosie’s feelings changed almost too quickly and the problem of finding Marigold (Irving’s adopted sister) was solved pretty easily.

I really like Irving and when I saw he and Rosie have their own book I was thrilled.
However, this one didn't end as I anticipated. Not only did Rosie choose Dristan, Irving doesn't get his HEA.
I liked Rosie. She's sassy and unlike the other women (except Grace) in this series, she's not a princess! She's a gypsy! That was fun!!
I don't remember much about Dristan from the first few books. He was in Pippa's story and was hurt by a rock slide while looking for dragon treasure. We see the extent of his injuries in this book.
Their love story was sweet! And not unlike Grace's story, Rosie thought she loved Irving to only discover it was mere infatuation! She's lucky, some marry their infatuation only to discover too late that it wasn't love at all.
Dristan and Rosie are perfect for each other. I loved their conversations and stolen glances & smiles. It was a super sweet read!

So Rosie is just a girl dragged along in this story, basically so she can resolve her feelings for Irving and realize them for Dristan. I was really confused about the love interest, thinking it was supposed to be Irving, but he was a real jerk, and Dristan was front and center, so I wondered why he wasn’t getting any attention from Rosie. And then in comes Everson. Good heavens! What’s a reader to think? Story didn’t get interesting until well into it, probably halfway. It was so lacking that the author had to throw a manticore in at the end for some lackluster action. This series is not as good as some of the author’s other books. I definitely recommend her fairytale stuff and her silver orchid series.

This was a sweet, short novella in the Eldentimber series. It was fun to read more about Rosie and find out how she fared after the events of Anwen of Primewood. The story flowed and was well written. The romance was apparent and detailed, especially for such a short story. I do wish it was longer because I really loved Rosie’s relationship with a certain someone. I can’t wait to read the next novel in the series!

This is what a novelette should be. Quick, read in a few hours, but enough meat there to feel like there's a reason to tell the story. Rosie's story felt more interesting and complete than Grace's by far, and I appreciated that, especially as we've already gotten to know Rosie a bit. I always liked Dristan, and wanted him to have his own tale. A good addition to the series.

This is a beautiful story about realising your heart and travelling to strange anf fantastic places. An unlikely pair to embark on an adventure. A love lost and realised and a handsome pirate lord. What more can you ask for.

I so wish I would have read this in order! I would have loved Audette even more (if that's possible). But it was so lovely to find out how Dristan and Rosie got together and to see Marigold's happiness. :)

Fills in Gaps

You need to read this book before you read Audette, then the storyline makes more sense. I like this series as it's an entertaining old kingdom story collection that follows a timeline, with. Interesting characters.

Here I was, thinking I was diving into Irving’s story and heartbroken that he was only going to get a Novella and not a book of his own when boom! Blindsided into discovering this wasn’t his story. Entirely.

I liked this one, I love Rosie and I was glad to see she got her own story, she’s adorable. I will say that I really feel like she overreacted with Irving not telling her who he really was. I understand that she had to in order for her to find real love, and *hopefully* for Irving to get his own story but still, he’s a prince. Maybe he was just hoping that she would love him for him and not his title? But also. It’s Irving… So…

I loved Rosie already, but I totally was thinking...FINALLY, when she figured herself out. More adventures with Irving and Dristan were great. The hidden island stuff was super cool. Everson was a good addition to the story. I also loved how Marigold and Teagan were worked into the story. The whole thing was so fun! It was a breath of fresh air after Seirshas dark book. I only wish it had been longer!!!

Each book in the Eldentimber series has featured a different heroine, each with their own strengths and flaws. And through it all, there's been Irving. Big, handsome, swoon-worthy lug, Irving.

Rosie is a former gypsy who has taken a series of odd jobs she's ill-suited for rather than take Prince Dristan up on his offer to take care of her. However, just as she's forced into deciding this, Irving breezes back into her life. Rosie's relationship with Irving didn't end well, but she has to put those feelings aside as she accompanies both Dristan and Irving on a sea voyage to search for Irving's sister Marigold, who has gone missing.

This novella was a very quick read, but there's a lot packed into it - adventure, pirates, exotic locations, and, of course, romance . . . in the way that Shari Tapscott has perfected by now. Through her cavalcade of heroines, she's managed to infuse each one with their own personality. Rosie is stubborn and tough and often intransigent, but you can't help but love her. Plus, Irving.

If you loved the rest of the Eldentimber series, you'll enjoy this one too.
