Suspense was top notch. Written very well to keep you on your toes. Makes you suspect the unexpected and leaves you with an ‘aha,’ but it still gives you a little complete surprise at the ‘aha’ details. Clever. Actually, I think this is 4.5 stars for the ‘bad guy mystery’ niche.
Two small lil hiccups prevent me from giving the suspense five stars…
1) The bad guy kidnapped his target as bullets were flying from police, the team, Spears, etc …and no one noticed the victim being dragged/carried away? <<< I think that scene needed more detail in the setting to show they were hidden from view from everyone else or something because I was left scratching my head as to how that could happen with so many people surrounding the MCs.
2) Timeline issue for believability. MMC has been at the agency a year. The danger starts BEFORE the FMC and MMC begin their relationship. I needed more to explain why all these unrequited feelings from the bad guy were just paused and on wait for a year…. In other words, why now? What was the trigger?
Characters were relatable, believable, and unique against their side character entourage.
Romance was heated. Slow burn of sexual tension. Chemistry was balanced. Sex scenes were a buildup of heat. ILY completely at the right moment and emo capturing of the reader. Goes a little stale after the ILY, but still decent read.
My only other compliant was in some of the repetitive inner dialogue around mid-book. It was unnecessary. It felt stall’ish to the plot vs inner conflict. Same emo hesitations being voiced multiple ways, multiple times.
The secondary plot with grandma was kinda like shooting a blank. I think it could’ve been wrapped up without all the flat melodrama.
Ends up being a three-star read because I wanted more in some places and less in other places. I think less picky military suspense romance lovers will adore this book.

Yet another book that gripped me from the first page and didn't let go until I finished the following day. Love these two authors and their combined writing is seamless. If you haven't read this series yet you should give it a go, you won't be disappointed.
This instalment is about Cleo, who has distinctive hair and her relationship with Mason who is tasked with keeping her safe. Cleo works for the alliance and wishes to remain distant from Mason but when she is stalked and her life is put in danger Mason steps up to the plate to protect her.
This book is full of twists and turns and edge-of-your-seat drama throughout. A great addition to the series, I can't wait to read the next book which is already waiting on my Kindle.

Hidden Obsession (An Alliance Agency Novel Book 2) by Maddie Wade & India Kells, these girls, they just amaze me with their story telling. I loved this book. Although to be fair I think I say that about all their books, but I do mean it each and every time. The action starts from the very first pages and keeps up all the way to the end and let me tell you, you do not see what is coming. This book is full of men and women who are determined and will stop at nothing to keep those they love safe.
Cleo has a stalker, but is it someone from her past or is it someone else? She has tried so hard to keep her past hidden but now it seems its ugly head is being reared again to threaten her very existence and her sanity.
Mason has always had a thing for the violet haired beauty, and he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Now he just has to convince her that she needs him. What he doesn’t expect is the realisation of just who is after his girl and just how far they will go to get what they want.
I wait with bated breath for the next book in this series!

This is the third book in Maddie Wade and India Kells wicked awesome (yes, I'm originally from Boston) Alliance Agency series. I honestly could read these books nonstop, and so far, this one is my favorite. (I too have Violet hair, and am a tad quirky. )
This is about office manager and do it all girl Cleaning, the violet haired wonder woman of the Alliance agency and the man she has a crush on. Suit wearing, quiet, and brilliant ex-Secret Service agent Mason Brantley is the opposite of outgoing Cleo. But a stalker soon changes the way they see each other.
I just love the interaction between the two of them, and I positively love Cleo!
This series and its characters are fast becoming near and dear to my heart. The writing is top notch and these ladies are just fabulous authors.

This was a dark, intense burn romance story perfect for a quick afternoon read.
This was a great heart pounding read. The story was very well written with great characters. The story drew me in and I had it finished in one sitting. I would highly recommend this read.

Book 1, Knight Watch, was my favorite until I read book 2, Hidden Obsession. WOW! Steamy steamy sex scenes so only readers over 18!
The characters in this story are strong willed, determined and oh so sexy! Cleo and Mason are perfect for each other. She needs to be protected and he needs to protect. Until the tables are flipped! Their chemistry is off the charts hot.
The story line, stalker, is nothing new but where the stalker comes from is interesting to say the least. The Alliance Agency is some of the smartest and hardest workers. I love their relationships with each other and their personalities.
This series can be read out of order but to get the feel for the bonds with each character, I suggest reading in order. Looking forward to the next book in this series!

I am so glad I read, Cleo and Mason’s story. Cleo is my favorite character from, book one. She has such, a fiery sass to her. Cleo, hurls funny, yet sassy remarks right back, at the flirty guys, at work. As a curvy woman, she knows how to wear professional outfits, and, yet it still makes her look hot as hell. Her violet hair makes her look edgy and mysterious.
Without a doubt, Cleo is the heart of the team. She may not carry a gun, or chase bad guys, but she makes their office run, like a well-oiled machine. Cleo doesn't share a lot, about her past, heck, not a lot about her present, either. She is the last one at the office, so once she locks up she figures out, that her bike is flat. She decides to walk home when she notices she's, being followed.
Talking with her boss, she let her know what is happening, and the boss sends out a call to, Morgan. Not just because he lived nearby, but mainly because she knew they both, felt something for each other. Even if they have no clue, yet. Morgan is there, in a flash. Saving her from being, dragged away.
It's not until he takes her home, that they figure out it is not just, a random freak. No, this is a stalker. Morgan insists that his spunky little, Spitfire stay with him. Let's just say, Cleo is not all that happy with the idea. This all sends Cleo’s fight or flight instincts, in motion not toward, Morgan just her overall life. Her past experiences leave her shaking now, and feeling lonely.
This is such a good book. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. Now, I have to say, I thought I figured out who had done it, so to speak. But, things would make me question myself. However, let me say, I was right, but oh so wrong, as to why. Ssooo goood!

It is a story that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It takes you on a journey that is mysterious and at times I had to tell myself to breathe. I loved reading about Cleo Darwin and Mason Bentley. Cleo is the office manager at the Alliance Agency. She is good at what she does and is depended upon by those who work there. She is intelligent, strong, and independent. She also has an attraction to Mason. Mason is a former secret service agent that now works for Alliance Agency. Since the first day that he sees her, he feels an attraction to Cleo. When he looks at her, he sees a future for them. When a stalker sets their sites on Cleo, Mason will do everything in his power to protect her. Will he find out who is stalking Cleo, and will they be caught? What does the future hold for Cleo and Mason? Read this book to find out. This story has romantic scenes that will heat up the room. I grew to care about Cleo and Mason with each chapter that I read and wanted them to find happiness. There are other characters that have been brought forward from the prequel and book 1 in this series and I loved reading about them again. I can’t even tell you how in love with this series I am! Cleo and Mason are fantastically written and I just can’t get enough of them! Cleo is the violet haired, beautiful receptionist for the Alliance Agency and Mason Bentley is one of their sexy, smoking hot lead agents. There was an instant attraction between these two from the moment they laid eyes on each other. Cleo is adamant that she won’t get involved with anyone she works with but Mason is determined to break her down. When a stalker shows up in her life, Mason takes the lead on her case and is determined to keep her safe, but will he be able to when she isn’t telling him everything about her past? Some secrets aren’t meant to be kept and could get you killed if you don’t share them. Will Cleo be able to open up to Mason without changing his opinion of her for the worst? Is she willing to find out or should she just run?
As all of the books in this series has been… Hidden Obsession if full of action, suspense, emotion, and romance. It is superbly well written with a great plot, fantastic characters that you’ll instantly fall in love with, and a story line that will keep you on the edge of your seat. While each book can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the series in order. Go ahead, start from the beginning! I’m sure you’ll love this series just as much as I do!

Hidden Obsession is the second thrilling instalment in the Alliance Agency series by Maddie Wade and India Kells. As I have said previously, these ladies are two of my favourite authors, so when they team up to write a book, I just know I have to read it, no questions asked!!
I am really loving this series- right from the gorgeous covers, to the superb writing, and all the intense action-packed and gripping storyline(s)- featuring such fantastic characters- so, colour me hooked. Like the first book, this is a romantic suspense- with intensity, action, danger, a stalker element, emotion, secrets, thrills, tension, intrigue, mystery, drama, chemistry, surprises, interconnected details, complexity…. and much more.
The authors built the suspense, tension, intrigue, and drama superbly- holding me in the story, right on the edge of my seat a lot of the time- and kept me guessing the whole way through. These two ladies definitely know how to weave a gripping and engrossing story, that’s for sure!
The authors styles definitely complement one another, as the story is a really well written and polished piece of work-and is a testament to the authors writing skills and compatibility.
Now, I can’t wait to get my hands on more!

Mason is a man full of good, solid strength. His drive to do good in the world is what brought him to Alliance Agency and the work he has been dedicated to. But when he arrived, he never expected the feisty, spunky and equally dedicated Cleo.
Cleo has a driving force to better the world, even if it's just from her desk at what has become her home in the agency. Her big heart and dedication to the team comes from a part of her past she is trying hard to leave behind. She's fighting the attraction that she has to the devastatingly charming and handsome Mason.
When they become closer, their worlds intertwine. in that means, her past is coming forward quickly. Though she's scared, she comes to terms a bit with knowing if she has Mason she can deal with it. What she doesn't expect is the twisted turns ahead. As they're faced with serious obstacles, they fight to hold on. I was completely enthralled, captivated and slightly sucked into the action as I fought to figure out the who's, why's and how's! I surely didn't expect for the bit of a twist that had me yelling, "what the heck?" at my kindle as I refocused and read on. I loved this book and look forward to more from these two! It's such a fabulous read that will keep you guessing!

This is absolutely at this moment my favorite of this whole series. It was so full of edge of your seat reading and putting it down was completely impossible. Been in kind of a reading rut lately and was really looking forward to this book. First because I am in love with this new series these two amazing authors have joined together to create and second because these two amazing authors both always remind me why I love reading so much!
I highly recommend reading the Prequel and then book 1 to this series before reading this one just so you get the full impact of the Alliance Agency and all those that are involved. I'm thinking you could possibly read this as a standalone, but I can't imagine getting out of it the same thing.
I love stalker stories, especially ones like this that have me trying to figure it out all the way through and of course always being wrong. This book has it all and Cleo and Mason were an awesome leading couple. The danger and the secrets and the OMG so Hot moments between these two..I just can't LOL
I Loved It and absolutely as usual can not wait for more..These two authors joining together was a genius move!!

Wow! The Alliance Agency Series by Maddie Wade and India Kells just keeps getting better and better. Hidden Obsession is Book 2 in the series (the third book if you add the prequel) and Maddie Wade and India Kells have totally blown me away with this book.
As with all books that both these authors have written, this book grabs you straight from the very first page and takes you on the most amazing journey before spitting you out at the end thinking WTF!! happened there.

You literally could not go wrong with a Maddie Wade or India Kells novel. For this reason when the two team up you can imagine some pretty awesome reading is to be expected. These two never disappoint either. I absolutely loved Hidden Obsession. Everything from the gorgeous cover to the intriguing action that keeps you in suspense throughout. I adore the undertone of romance and how it doesn’t impede the greater picture, rather is compliments the whole thing.
Cleo is too fun to read. She finds herself being stalked, but unsure if it is someone from her past returning to be an issue, or someone completely new and unknown. Either way she is forced to face the past and find her footing here and now. Mason is our main man, and a swoony one at that. He loves his girl with the violet hair and would do anything to protect her from harm. The catch is, he needs to prove to Cleo he is what she needs and wants. The stalking with come back to bite them both eventually and make for some awesome chapters of reading. I can’t say enough good about this book and would score it 10 stars if I could. OUTSTANDING OH THE TWISTS AND TURNS!!!!!! A MAZZ ZZZIINNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG
Cleo Darwin is the violet haired office manager of the Alliance Agency. She is a valued part of the team so when one night after working late she is being followed it isn't long till the team jump into action to help keep Cleo safe.
Mason Bentley is first on the scene stalker and safes her from being dragged into an alley way but her stalker. But when he takes her home it quickly becomes clear that the stalker knows where she lives. Mason tells her to pack a bag as she is going to his, so he can keep her safe.
Cleo is attracted to Mason and Mason is attracted to Cleo but she has a rule not to get involved with work colleagues. Can Mason work his magic whilst trying to keep her safe>> And can they catch her stalker??
OMG this book has so many twist and turns that you just can't put this book down. Its an outstanding storyline and once again this amazing group of people are there for one another. I can not wait for the next book in the fantastic series. I am super excited to read anything that comes from India Kells

OMG this book has so many twist and turns that you just can't put this book down. Its an outstanding storyline and once again this amazing group of people are there for one another. I can not wait for the next book in the fantastic series. I am super excited to read anything that comes from India Kells

Hidden Obsession was a great 5 star read and book two in the An Alliance Agency novel series.
I was pulled in right from the beginning. This is Mason and Cleo’s story.
Cleo works at the Alliance Agency and she has definitely noticed Mason, however she tries to keep things professional between them. Mason has an attraction to Cleo that he wants to pursue, will he be able to break down her walls?
When things take a dangerous twist and Cleo ends up with a Stalker Mason’s protective side comes out and he is determined to keep her safe.
Will he be able to keep her safe and catch the stalker? What will happen when Cleo’s secret comes out?
Overall I really enjoyed this book. We get suspense, action, romance and so much more.
I really loved Cleo, she is strong and independent. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. This can be read as a stand alone but I suggest reading from the beginning, it will help you connect with the characters better. This is a must read series, 1-click and get started today.

Hidden Obsession by Maddie Wade and India Kells is book two of the Alliance Agency Novel Series. This book is a romantic suspense and it definitely keeps you guessing what’s coming next.

I truly enjoyed this book! There was a lot of suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. It was extremely well written and I highly suggest giving it a chance. There is a prequel and book one you can read before this one but I didn’t and don’t feel like I missed anything in the story but some characters do make appearances from previous books. Definitely worth a read.

This is a great story! Full of action! I couldn’t wait to read this story. These two are so cute together! I love how Mason knows what he wants and finally decided to go after it. Cleo has other ideas.....no dating coworkers. Until a stalker shows up for Cleo. Everything changes after that.

I loved hanging out with this group again. Seeing everyone and getting a refresher of what they all do and how they work alone but still get along so well.

Both have hidden a crush on the other for some time but no more. To keep her safe Mason keeps her close and their love blossoms. Can they find the stalker before he hurts Cleo any more than he has already done?
This novel was fast paced and easy to read. It can be read as a standalone from the series. I loved the development of the main characters and how well they fit together. The antagonist was also developed well and was very sinister. I had no problem breezing through this novel. It was a great action packed read.

I literally couldn’t put it down I had to know what was going to happen next. I highly recommend ireading the Prequel and the first book in this series to get a better enjoyment of the Alliance Agency and everyone that is involved. This story is full of action, suspense, and even romance. Cleo and Mason, She is the office manager at Alliance Agency and very good at what she does and is very attracted to Mason. Cleo is the office manager of an elite security company in Miami. Mason is an expert operative. When Cleo is in danger, Mason steps up his game. Wow. The plot of this book is excellent. The suspense puts you on the edge of your seat and keeps you teetering there. The story is well thought out, full of dimension and the characters are full of depth and realism. The secondary characters are like old friends that you want to go have coffee or wine with. The chemistry between Cleo and Mason is like a flash fire that turns into a full blown out of control blaze. This is a great book. I truly love it and will definitely be reading the story of Shane and Emme which is a spin off from a prior series. I will also be checking out Kingsley and Sydney.

Hidden Obsession by Maddie Wade & India Kells is the second book in the An Alliance Agency Novel series. This book can be read as a standalone however I definitely think you should read them all as they are just that good.
Both of these authors are fantastic on their own and the combination of them together is just so powerful. This book was absolutely brilliant. It genuinely had me on the edge of my seat, heart racing and I could not put it down.
I loved the whole basis of the story. It had everything you could want from this type of book. The characters were just fantastic. I really felt like I connected with them. They had such a chemistry that you could feel on each and every page.
This series so far has been fantastic, and I cannot wait to read more from it. This collaboration of authors is definitely one of the best I have read.

This story was pretty good. Cleo is a string character that has been in a position where she isn’t the one holding the cards. It’s crazy how much one can experience in such a short amount of time. I really enjoyed Mason. He was in my book a great male lead. Though his reaction to Travis wasn’t believable to me. I was shocked by how the story twisted. The plot got really juicy. Overall it was refreshing to read a story that didn’t sound like a big cliché. The authors did really well with building the story and characters. There were a few moments that I was like don’t be that chic Cleo. But it worked out. Normally books have my emotions in fifty million direction but this one kept it straight to the point. The side characters had a lot of interesting moments as well.

Hidden Obsession (An Alliance Agency Novel Book 2) by Maddie Wade & India Kells. I just can’t get enough of these authors and this series. Like seriously the entire book kept me on the edge of my seat and I didn’t want it to end. From start to finish I was completely hooked and couldn’t put it down. These authors know how to hook readers and make sure the story is one that won’t soon be forgotten. The character building is so strong I felt like I knew these people in real life. The storyline is just as strong and comes alive right before your eyes. Cleo and Mason are probably my favorite characters this year and I’ve read plenty of books but these two just captured my soul somehow. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I love a book I can’t figure out right off and this story definitely delivers. Five stars all the way and highly recommend!

When Cleo is followed after leaving work one day, Mason comes to her rescue, and they discover this is not random, but she is actually being stalked. The agency delves into her unknown past looking for potential suspects, and when the stalker continues to taunt Cleo, she ends up closer to Mason than she ever thought she'd get, and they both fall fast, and hard.
Oh, I liked this one! Cleo is a fun character, who is always in control, and believes Mason to be her total opposite, but I think they are totally suited for one another. They both do silly things in the name of protecting the other, as characters in books like these do, but ultimately know they are meant to be, and won't let that go quickly.

This book is about a young woman named Cleo who is the office manager for a security agency called the Alliance Agency. Mason is one of the agents and has become very attracted to Cleo. But she seems to be in great danger from a vicious stalker who has sent her threatening notes, trashed her home, poisoned a dog to get at her (the dog was able to survive), and sent her a sickening, scary package. As Cleo and Mason grow close and love deepens, they need to find out who the stalker is and why he is threatening her, plus find out how dangerous people from her past might be involved in this new danger. Can Mason keep Cleo safe? Can they have an HEA? I highly recommend this book!
