" GLIDE EASILY INTO HER GREASED TUNNEL " I KID Y'ALL NOT! They seriously used GREASED to describe the h being wet in this read! More than once and once was too much!
What is up with this guys arm on the cover? I guess they wanted him to look super muscular, but instead it looks super bumpy and proportional. I almost didn't read it because of his face to start with.
I previously tried book 1 in this series and didn't go over 20 percent with it and tossed it back, book 2 didn't perk my interest. The description on this one, Book 3 Untamed, sounded better and since it was on KU I gave it a go.
Unfortunately, the story lacked a depth of detail, explanation and there just simply wasn't any magic to draw the reader in. I was still interested enough in the actual alien sounding H, Haru, to see if it got better as it went.
One thing that just made NO sense, if you're keeping important data on an earring USB, WHY would you take it out and put it in your pocket?
Two, WHY would you agree to leave the ship to take the data and say good bye to the crew and your alien BF / mate?
Three, WHERE was the sister in all this? It was like once the h was in the story, even though the sister was on the same ship she just wasn't involved. One tiny blip of a scene near end of the book. Why even do a family connection if the relationship isn't developed on page?
I did really like how Tori was NOT afraid of the H and was immediately okay with being affectionate.
However, ONE star for the gag a reader s e x u a l descriptions. Also, where the heck did this random d o m style come from with Haru? He went from quiet and almost like shy at the beginning to some awkward d o m in bed.

Now I love dirty talk and graphic details, but greased is just not a mood setting term. And to be so graphic, why wasn't the males O ever detailed?

Haru is lifting the heavy barbell while Dr. Modine is jotting down data she is collecting on his exertion. The Ataxia Coalition has shared technology that improved the lives of many of the Odex, but Haru believed the cost has been too high. The Coalition demanded eight years of service from each of the Odex and often those assignments are quite dangerous. Many don’t survive.
As they are laughing at Zylan’s Hawaiian skirt and lei, Commander Gurtal calls everyone to the bridge. He needs Zylan to calculate a jump to Novaria immediately. Jyt’s sister, Victoria (“Tori”), works for Advanced Munitions Dynamics, a huge weapons maker. She is a top-notch coder and recently found something that concerns her about the company, a deliberate design flaw that would cause an explosion. She wouldn’t talk about it over the open comm channel since the branch manager is already acting suspicious of her. Then she disappeared! To Jyt’s surprise, Haru pledges on his honor, a very sincere promise, to find Jyt’s sister or die trying. He considers her “Pack” and he will always protect the Pack.
After business hours, Tori downloaded proof of the sabotage she uncovered, but before she can get it to the Alliance to act on it, she is attacked in her darkened office by an assassin. Fortunately she threw off her shoes to run faster and the assassin tripped over one, giving her time to get the elevator doors closed. But heading to Security for safety won’t work this time – they are all dead, and she runs out the back doors of the building. When she runs into criminals on the street, she is captured and sold. Can Haru rescue her? Can he get them back to the ship? And what about the attraction they both seem to feel?
This was a well-written story line with characters we are now familiar with interspersed with new characters. The crew is quite a mix of different aliens, but that Pack feeling is strong within each of them. They will do whatever they must for their members, and that loyalty is felt by the reader. Will Haru unexpectedly find love in this adventure? Grab your copy and see what is waiting for all of them!

Shouldn’t have a character perform haka

Wow this book get so hot you may need a cold shower I absolutely could not get enough of this I was hooked from the first page great writing job bravo loved it and if anyone is looking a steamy wonderful read then add this one to your list you will not be disappointed I was not, I loved it

Haru is a Odex Warrior one of the fiercest Alien species in the galaxy the aliens and the humans on the ship he calls them pack and his Honor dictates to help his pack so when Jyt’Lei’s sister Victoria ( Tori ) goes missing Haru will do what needs to be done to find her. Tori works for The Advanced Munitions Dynamics or AMD for short she stumbled upon a fatal flaw in the new gamma weapons if you hit them in the wrong place they will explode so Tori saw more than she should of and now her life is in danger. When Tori tries to get out of the office there is an alien there who has sharp claws and blood on them, Tori manages to get out of the building but she gets nabbed by The Half Full Gang then they sell her to the Gur body merchants. When Tori wakes up her head is killing her and there’s at least 10 other women in the cell with her then suddenly she hears her name she says who are you and are you an Odex he says yes and my name is Haru and I’m here to save you but he can’t get the bars open then Tori said what are you looking at and Haru says your a beautiful woman and then he says that if he has to he will buy you at the auction. Haru was disgusted with the slavers and he said that on his Honor he will get her back home and Tori believed him. That’s all I’m going to give you guys but there is so much more to this story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Haru is the epitome of a big gentle beast. This 8ft. scary as all warrior and his tiny, but fierce, human have such an amazing story! This series has made me drop everything else for each new release. Full of action, of the charts humor and unexpected romance. These characters have created a family, if sometimes a dysfunctional, that is loyal to the core. This installment tested and proved that. Haru highly values his honor. Those he considers 'pack', are his to protect. When he vows to rescue Tori and see her safe, he just might have to go to the ends of the galaxy to do so. What he doesn't anticipate are the growing feelings he has for her. Tori, on the other hand, is very forward in her intentions. You'd think that would make it easier on the 'big dumb ape' (not my words). If these two are going to have a future, it's anyone's guess. I loved each and every character, previous and new alike. You can't but feel for Haru and the difficulties he's having. Tori, feisty and patient with him at the same time. The crew, for always having each others back. Even the new additions with their ability to fit in. A well written and fast paced sci-fi adventure. I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Wow, once again Athena has written and outstanding book that you find yourself glued to wondering what is going to happen next. This is not just a simple little story; it is a story filled with a complexed plot, love, action, sacrifice, everything that you can imagine and could want in a story. Tori is carrying information that could change the course of the battle with the Coalition, but before she can getting it to the Alliance she is on the run. First from an assassin, then caught by drug dealers and sold off as a slave. Hura has promised on his honor that he will find her, rescue her and get her back to the rest of the crew of their ship and her sister. But nothing goes as planned and they have a lot of obstacles to over come and friends to rescue as well. This book will keep you one your toes. Athena books have such a deep plot that you really would be about to wait for her next one to come out. I love how her mind works. I received this book free from bookfunnel and am giving my opinion of what I read because I want others to know what a great story this. I did not want to give to much about it away; I didn’t want to be a spoiler on any of it because everything was a surprise to me.

I enjoyed this book as well as the previous two in the series but there was a line from a character in the previous book that I just couldn't get past.
“Man, that place is sealed up tighter than my ex girlfriend's pussy.” Zylan shakes his head and takes another pull off his water bottle. “I don't know how we can possibly get in there.”
Zylan being one of the two main characters in the previous book (who happens to be married to his love interest by the time 'Untamed' begins), this was a little disappointing to read considering earlier that day he had interacted with his ex-girlfriend.
As a big fan of Zylan and Minerva, the way Zylan spoke and conducted himself in this story felt like it invalidated his faithfulness and commitment to Minerva.
Also... What happened to Gurtal and Xana's baby? It's like the author forgot she made them parents to a newborn boy. Between going out and partying with their crew and being captured there was no mention of their child. Although I enjoyed the story the inconsistencies really bothered me.

Haru proves the strength of his love!

When Victoria stumbled on a plan for flawed Gamma weapons to be attached to Alliance vessels she knows she must send a warning or thousands of Alliance warriors will be killed. However before she can get her message out she is captured and sold as a slave. Victoria's sister was a member of the "Penetrator" crew and they managed to rescue her. I have really enjoyed reading this series and now that Haru, a member of their crew has fallen in love with Tori it is clear that not only are they all crewmates but family as well. Haru is a member of the Odex race, he was a man whose honor made him a traitor to the Coalition cause. Larger and stronger than many other aliens, his attraction to Tori was strong and immediate, which was just the way Tori liked it. Another entertaining read in the Marauder Series.

A rescue that was more than a mission, impacted Haru and in a good way. He was attracted and feeling for the human woman! But self-conscious of the differences between him and Tori, Haru doubted they could have something real. As an Odex he was feared, but not all of the Odex were equal as Tori soon realized. Rescued and protected by the ape man had made her feel cherished and had awakened strong and lustful feelings in her. With the enemies chasing and threatening Tori, Haru was to protect her at all cost. But the mission had took its toll to the Penetrator crew and it had had consequences. Liked Haru’s super strength and Tori’s commitment to her alien. Action, strong attraction, aliens at right and left, adventure, suspense, some amusing scenes, sacrifice, violence, romance and passion. Interesting and entertaining story that I enjoyed.

I give it 2 stars because
It did at least make me laugh a couple times but it's one of those it was so stupid it was funny things if u know what I mean. However these books to me almost remind me of spoof movies u know where they mock movies like twilight or scream it's like this author is mocking sci-fi romance novels cause really she can't possibly be serious with this mess?? Each book is a rinse and repeat even down to the intimate scenes I swear read almost exactly alike aside from Tori she's the first of the girls to take one of the aliens through the back door if u know what I mean. Also I think it's this authors goal to use every known dirty word ever used in one book and some are pretty gross get some class lady please! If these weren't free for KU subscribers I wouldn't bother so beware if u have to pay Don't do it!!

October 25, 2019This was an awesome story that grabbed me from the beginning and entertained me keeping my interest through out the book. When the Penetrator's crew set out to rescue Victoria, Jysts sister little does Haru know that he will find his true love. There's action,drama, suspense, twists, turns, adventure, passion, hot alpha alien, hot steamy sex and romance. I loved the chemistry between Haru and Tori and how they both helped each other grow as a couple. I loved the whole crew of the penetrator with their back and forth banter and how they were a family. This is a definite must read and I can't wait to read more!!!

I like that in this book the hero happens to belong to a race that is always (until him) the bad guys....big, furry, scary, unstoppable, unfeeling aliens. But this Odex, Haru, actually has honour and it gets him into trouble, lots of trouble. I really like that most of the characters we have already met from previous books, so we know them, except for the new love interest. And even then, Tori is the sister of Jyt who we’ve met previously. The other thing I enjoyed was the action. There‘s always action when Odex are involved. but the best part is that the crew are “family” and family always come first.

When The Penetrator's crazy crew takes off to save Jyt's kidnaped sister, Victoria, who turns out to be the "blue" knight in shining armor but Haru. We knew when we met him in "Totally Taken by the Alien", he had to have his own book. Faithful, loyal, intensely ethical, Haru may be my favorite alien thus far. Victoria was trying to get information to the proper authorities that would change the course of the war. I thought her character was just OK. She didn't resonate with me like Haru. Overall a great addition to the Marauder Mates series and I look forward to the next addition.

Even though he is an Odex, Haru adheres to the old ways and does not approve of how the Ataxia Coalition has taken control. Minerva appreciates what he's done for her during the escape in the previous book and brings him with her to the Penetrator. Tori finds monkey business is going on with her employer and plans to be a whistleblower but is forced to go on the run with her data. She's captured and up for auction when Haru spots her. Chaos ensues!
Athena Storm's books are funny, full of adventure and have captivating characters. Read from the beginning for maximum pleasure!

Omg what can I say Haru is a Odex warrior that’s so set in the old ways of his people and showing feelings of love or any feelings is considered a weakness. Victoria is captivated by the Odex beast Haru and wants to know him better after being saved from her employer that’s trying to kill her for the information she has on them. Now the whole crew of the Penetrator are running for the lives now and are desperately looking for a place to hide till it all blows over.

The story part of this book is interesting. I liked Haru from the very beginning but I had a difficult time getting my head around Tori and the insta lust she felt for him. Unfortunately, the book is about 80% sex. I usually enjoy books by this author but I am making an exception on this one. This would have been a great opportunity to give the reader more insight into the Odex beyond the previous impressions of them. It wasn’t awful, just not what I was expecting.

Book three in the Marauder Mates series a well written story. Haru an Odex warrior is of a race that is considered the bad guys he meets Tori and love will change his feelings as he never thought he would find love. The Penetrator is a spaceship with a group of people that are like family and they will do anything for one of their own. I want to read the next book. This series is the most interesting series I have personally run across since I fell in love with Harry Potter. I can’t get enough of the crazy cast of misfits on the Penetrator and the crazy war that has no end. What will the dynamic duo of Athena Storm home up with next?

A story filled with action, adventure, sacrifice, love, and a complex world and storyline. This is a read that has wonderful and likable characters. The emotions are strong and well through the story and action of the characters. This has plenty of passion and is one heck of a read.

This book kept me engrossed till the end. The storyline/plot was intriguing filled with action, suspense, chemistry and passion. It was so well written with characters that you cant help but to love. I cant wait to see what's next.

Haru and Tori are fantastic additions to The Penetrator crew!!
I love how the crew keeps growing. Haru is a one man (beast) army. Tori's computer expertise can only help their efforts. They run into trouble more than once or twice and embark on suicide missions to save each other and Alliance troops. I was not happy with the Alliance at the end of this book. I highly recommend this book.

Another Awesome Book
Loved everything about this book with enough action and drama to keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish! It has adventure, humor, love of family, drama, and very hot steamy scenes that are not over the top with awesome characters? Definitely a must buy and so ready to read the next book in the series?

This is a sequel in an ongoing series. This can standalone but is better read with the other stories. There is lots of drama and romance in this books

Haru gets his turn center stage
We first met Haru in Zylan’s story, and he served as an intriguing character. An Odex (Alien) who holds to the old and honorable ways, and as a result aided our characters in fighting those he was conscripted to serve. Here he comes to the front of the story, and proves to be the interesting character previously hinted at.
Tori has pissed off the wrong boss, and in trying to get away from him manages to stumble out of the frying pan and into the fire. When Haru shows up, on her sister’s behalf, to rescue her, not only is that rescue appreciated, but she has a chance to discover, first hand, of the threatening tales told about the Odex, to make them the most feared of enemies, are true.
This story covers a LOT of territory, ties in with other novellas and short stories by the author nicely, and leaves the crew of the ship in an unexpected position making me even more eager to read the next installment in this series.
