This one was a little difficult to rate. I erred on the side of generosity. I seem to recall thinking that the first half was better than I'd expected, but having got to the end, I can't really remember anything that happened.
Really, the series has turned into a cook book. Half the runtime is people making or eating food. It's a very common theme in light novels, but it's getting boring. One of the main features of this book was candy floss. Go figure.
There is a hint of coming intrigue, but it was very much a hint. Nothing much happens in this book aside from food and Yuna showing off. Volume 12 may be my last in this series unless something improves.
Another fun book in the series! This book mainly follows the academy festival occurring in the festival. So not a lot actually happened. I'd call this a filler episode. Don't get me wrong, I love the book series, love the characters, it's just a lot of fun things that I really enjoy about this series like Yuna opening a restaurant, exploring a new place, or fighting, was absent from this book. Will continue on with the series! I would definitely recommend this series if you're looking for a cozy fantasy read.
I love this series so much and seeing the day today fun times that are girl gets into is always cool. She didn't start any serious drama in this and book which means something fun is going to come in the next one. I can't wait to read the next book.
Why do you need to read the review if you’re on volume 11? At this point you should know what you’re getting into. No stress, little drama, fun, cute, adventure featuring a girl in a bear onesie.
Shuri made it to the cover, and to the Bear illustrated books, and to some very light times at Shia's school festival! Fina finally got to show off her unusual skills, on top of Yuna showing her usual bear-suit prowess. Overall, not much happening, but a fun volume.
This volume mostly centers around Yuna enjoying the school festival at Shia's school. Yuna, of course, drags the little ones to enjoy with her. And, of course, she makes a spectacle of herself, winning all the games and being her regular bear self. She gets to meet a new character and revisits several old friends in this arc.
Kumanano never fails. This is already the 11th volume and the high-quality humor and steady pacing are as consistent as ever. I dare say it's even improved. This story arc is very similar to the webnovel version but still as enjoyable to read the second time round.
Where do I even start... I think this has been coming on for awhile, but I'm finally done. Like, with this series. The writing is terrible, but they were like cheeseburger books so I was willing for forgive that for awhile. But over time, the plot of the story has gotten more and more slow and more and more boring. There's this whole big wide world to explore, and yet the main character mostly just sticks around with the established characters doing the same things. Which is a lot of nothing. There's just a lot that irks me about this series now, and I haven't been sure why I keep picking it up for awhile. So I'm just not anymore.
