I read (and reviewed) another of Nicole Foster's erotica anthologies earlier this year, so I will be writing this review with that context.
Compared to the other collection I felt the writing was of a better quality, but the editing was subpar. Lots of tiny mistakes here and there.
Like "Wet," this collection also includes a range of stories. Like "Wet," this collection is detailed on the back as: "ranging from naught and nasty to tender and sweet." I feel that this book probably reaches the extremes more then "Wet" does. There were more sweet stories, where girls end up together or stay together - or they don't have a bad experience and part on good terms. I really disliked the negative emotional endings of the stories in "Wet;" it distracted from the excitement generated by the stories.
However, some of the stories in this book were WAY too extreme for me - and I was surprised to see them included in such a collection! One story in particular, titled something like "New Year" (I don't have the book on me - sorry!) made me nauseous and almost stop reading! It VERY graphically details a scene that involves vaginal and anal fisting. Maybe not my thing but I definitely did not need to read a graphic description of what a girls insides feel like via her anus ... the curves of her innards are described as goal posts the fister passes! It was honestly one of the most disgusting/disturbing things I've read all year, and you an look at my read list ... I don't exactly read light books all the time!
The sex in this book surprised me and seemed radical for an erotica collection; I don't know if I"d term this erotica. I think I'd call it smut. Stories about puppy play, strange ritualistic sex in pool halls, the aforementioned fisting scene that will forever be burned in my mind ... There were even a few stories where dicks appeared - and they weren't always unwelcome. One of those stories, about a threesome where the gentleman was left out, was one of my favorites in this collection. I really do like the stories where the parties find connections and ~*true love*~!
Due to my apparent skittish nature, I don't know if I would pursue another one of Foster's collections. But if you like it really dirty, this might be for you!
