Me encanta esta novela. Puede que el punto de partida del argumento sea algo difícil de creer, pero a mí no me cuesta tanto. Puede que le sobren escenas de cama y si me apuráis podría decir que si fueran más explícitas podría entrar dentro de la erótica pero, en realidad, aunque comparten muchos momentos de cama, ahí arranca la trama, la autora no pierde cuidado en obviar esas escenas dando más énfasis en momentos de conversación que pueden parecer poco importantes pero son la base en la que se sustentan sus sentimientos. Es curioso lo bien que explica la autora esa evolución, que pese a ocurrir en tan breve espacio de tiempo, a mí no me ha parecido un instalove.
Me encantan los duques estirados y aquí tenemos uno… que esconde momentos tan tiernos que me han encantado. Ambos esconden su dolor en una actitud muy fría y ambos son juzgados de forma muy diferente.
Me han gustado mucho esos momentos compartidos.
Admito que al ser relectura ese misterio que tuve al leerlo por primera vez ha desaparecido totalmente, en contra, he disfrutado mucho más de esos pequeños detalles que comento.
Ahora leído por segunda vez, creo que queda patente desde el primer momento que no existe tal misterio.
Por eso le daré la misma puntuación.
Una lectura muy recomendable. Mujeres con carácter que se superan a sí mismas de un pasado de lo más cruel. Qué alejadas de las protagonistas muchas veces sumisas que se están poniendo ahora de moda. Bravo Emma Wildes!!

Es una lectura que he disfrutado mucho aunque reconozco que es una suma de casi todos los clichés que podemos encontrar en el romance histórico, sobre todo el de los calaveras reformados. Sin embargo, la autora escribe muy bien, por lo que la lectura es realmente placentera. Me gustó mucho la caracterización de Caroline y su valentía para superar las crueles experiencias de su matrimonio anterior que, probablemente, eran mucho más comunes en la época que las deliciosas historias que habitualmente leemos en este género.
Un aspecto que sí encontré original, es que tenemos cuatro personajes principales; sí, dos parejas que tienen el mismo protagonismo en la trama, que interactúan entre ellas para que todo salga bien y que, sin duda, le dan mayor dinamismo al argumento.

Es el primer libro que leo de la autora y no ha estado mal de hecho me enganché mucho que terminé desvelándome. Aunque la sinopsis es atrayente y deja entrever un trama original y que los triángulos no me van, me convencieron las buenas reseñas.
Un duque y un conde compitiendo quien es el mejor amante haciendo una apuesta pero para eso se necesita una mujer que funja como juez y aquí entra en juego Caroline una joven viuda que pertenece a la nobleza, ella quiere experimentar que es sentir placer que un hombre la desee y de paso comprobar que ella no es la culpable de su mala experiencia sexual, casada con un hombre cruel que la maltrataba, ella no quiere volver a casarse es por eso que se ofrece como voluntaria en la apuesta y decidir quién es el mejor de los dos hombre más libertinos de Londres.
Yo pensé que sería un triángulo amoroso pero NO porque desde la primera vez que se ven hay una atracción palpable entre Nick el Duque de Rothay y Lady Caroline. Como pareja me gustaron mucho, tenían una gran química y con muy buenas escenas de cama.
Por otra parte estás Pareja que conforma Derek el Conde de Manderville y Annabelle la pupila de su tío, ella se va a casar con otro aunque siempre ha estado enamorada de Derek pero él le ha roto el corazón y ahora ella lo aborrece o eso cree. Él recién a descubierto que la ama y que no le importa que sea mucho menor que él.
Esta pareja tenía potencial e historia para que tuvieran su propio libro, porque no se desarrollaban bien las tramas de las dos parejas le quitaban protagonismo a la principal, además que de un capitulo a otro cambiaban de parejas y cortaban la trama de la otra cuando ya estaba muy enganchada y eso le resto puntos al final.
Para mí la historia de Nick y Caroline era de más de 3 estrellas y si hubieran estado solos le hubiera dado mucho más en cambio Annabelle me cayó súper mal aunque su historia con Derek me gustó.

Magnífica novela. Me pasó desapercibida en el momento en que la publicaron porque había leído una de esta autora que no me convenció y dejé pasar las demás. Ahora, con tan pocas novedades de romántica histórica anglosajona, estoy rebuscando entre lo publicado en años anteriores y encontrando varias que no leí en su momento. Esta es una de ellas y la he disfrutado como hacía tiempo que no disfrutaba con una lectura.
Dos romances, dos parejas, dos historias que se desarrollan de forma más o menos paralela y que parten de una apuesta entre dos amigos. Una pareja protagonista que crece poco a poco, una de secundarios con mucha presencia que equilibra a la perfección los momentos que podrían resultar más lentos en la historia principal. El romance principal, entre un duque y una viuda debió resultar novedoso en el año en que se publicó, por la forma en que se desarrolla.
Todos los personajes son creíbles, incluso los de apoyo, que aparecen siempre en los momentos justos y con la justa presencia, igual que el antagonista. Muy buena ambientación, un estilo narrativo precioso, de calidad, sin ser farragoso ni pedante que hace que la novela fluya por si sola y que los dos romances resulten aún mejores. Giros que me han sorprendido, sexo con elegancia, diálogos interesantes y un trasfondo que ensalza el valor de la amistad y la importancia del cariño en la familia y cómo influye en la persona, tanto si lo hay como si no. Una novela que destila Amor en general. Me ha encantado. La considero imprescindible para cualquier lectora de romántica histórica y muy recomendable para las de romántica en general.

This book was so romantic! Emma Wildes was able to mix up a dreamy romance while the relationships remained totally realistic, not to mention there are some very funny parts of the story too.
Lady Caroline Wynn suffered in her arranged marriage. Her dead husband had put her down so forcefully, and often, that she started to believe she was incapable of feeling passion-just like he accused her. When infamous playboys Nicholas Manning, the Duke of Rothay, and Derek Drake, the Earl of Manderville, make a ridiculous bet over who is the better lover, Caroline sees it as a way to find out if her husband was right after all.
It's easy to see where this story will lead as soon as Caroline and Nicholas meet for the first time. The story becomes not about a game or a bet, but a slow, tender journey to love between two people scarred by their past relationships. Caroline was emotionally abused by her husband, and Nicholas was made cynical by his first love who crushed his heart.
I loved how there was a secondary romance and all four of the characters became friends through each other. Derek is a light contrast to Nicholas' serious intensity. He provides a lot of comic relief in his egging on of Nicholas. Derek's love for Annabel is just as strong as what Nicholas and Caroline feel for each other, and he's much more eager to let her know how he feels. But he has a huge mistake from the past that he must make up for before she will give him a chance.
I was very surprised, considering the premise of the wager, but this was one of the most sweetly romantic books I've read for awhile. I will definitely be reading Emma Wilde's next historical romance!

Edit: another reread winner. Two separate romances with overlap. A really really nice story and one with believable character growth and change. I liked this better the second time around!
I never would have picked this up if reviews had not mentioned that Wildes likes to write about two romances in a single story. I am not interested in ménage stories so I picked it up in the hopes that it would develop with two romances. I was not disappointed.
The main romance is between Lady Wynn and the Duke of Rothay. Lady Wynn had an emotionally and physically abusive husband and has been known throughout the ton for an icy facade she adopts to protect herself after her husband died. The Duke of Rothay, Nicholas, is a handsome man with a reputation for being able to seduce any woman, which he has honed due to a woman's betrayal when he was younger. Both of these characters try to put the past behind them and find comfort together. This romance had elements of sexual awakening, slow trust building, and very sweet romantic moments.
The secondary romance was between the Earl of Manderville and his uncle's ward, Annabel. The Earl, Derek, is known as a lady's man, but he has secretly been in love with Annabel for a long time and a foolish decision on his part has seemingly shattered any opportunity that he has with her. Annabel had been in love with Derek, but catching him with another woman shortly after he had kissed her turned her love to disgust, and she tried to put her feelings behind her and became engaged to another man. This romance lacked the depth of the other and I found myself skimming to get back to the other romance. These characters were not well developed and I thought their love for each other was not as deep and they behaved more selfishly. However, they did have a few memorable scenes, particularly when they crossed over into lady Wynn's and the duke's story.
Overall, I really like Wildes' writing style. It is breezy, nicely detailed, and romantic. I will definitely be reading more by her.
One note for future readers. There are a few instances of use of the f word. I am not a fan of this, but in this story, it was used for deliberate crudity to inspire a reaction in another character and it made sense. It was used very infrequently so it was not an issue.

Della stessa autrice, sicuramente, ho preferito "Lezioni di seduzione", ma anche questa storia, ambientata nell'Inghilterra del 1820, ha il suo perché.
Una scommessa indecente tra due noti libertini del ton, su chi fra i due sia l'amante migliore, creerà scompiglio nei salotti londinesi nei quali non si parlerà d'altro per mesi e dove, alla scommessa iniziale, se ne aggiungerà immediatamente una seconda. Infatti quello che interessa di più non è tanto chi dei due sarà reputato il migliore tra le lenzuola, ma chi sarà la dama che dovrà decretarlo. E allora via con supposizioni, ipotesi e illazioni che però non toccano mai la diretta interessata. Lady
Caroline Wynn è infatti una delle donne più pudiche, fredde e riservate in circolazione, probabilmente a causa del precedente matrimonio con un marito brutale, che fortunatamente è passato a miglior vita e che infinite volte l'ha fatta sentire inadeguata e inutile.
"Come lo stesso atto potesse essere doloroso e degradante con un uomo e decisamente estatico con un altro, fu una rivelazione."
Una bella storia, che pian piano prende una piega diversa da quella prospettata inizialmente, con due storie parallele che si intrecciano tra loro e, forse, la seconda mi ha intrigata più della prima.
Quattro protagonisti che dalla mera passione tra le lenzuola, scopriranno pian piano l'amore vero, quello tenero, romantico e rispettoso.

This book was wonderful. You know when you feel so much glee that you wish to rub your hands together? That is how I felt reading this book.
Oh, the blurb and the title of this book does not do the book justice. It is almost as if these two things combined turns into a prologue.
I am not a fan to have the story of two couples being told in the same book, but here it worked perfectly because everything was intertwined.
Oh, many bad things happened that I won't tell to not give any spoiler, but when the bad things were not being talked about, it was to make me laugh or smile or sit closer to the edge of my sofa in excited apprehension of the next scene. And how romantic the heroes were! Specially my favorite of the two. Sigh.
I highly recommend this stand alone!

An Indecent Proposition provides an intriguing, if somewhat improbable plot that lives up to its promise. Nicholas and Derek are infamous rakes in Regency London. At the end of the a long evening of drinking they enter into a bet on who is the best lover and record it in the betting book at Whites. Caroline is a widow from a bad marriage famous for her ice like demeanor. She wants to change her life and to find out if she is really as cold in bed as her abusive late husband believed her to be. She contacts the two rakes anonymously and volunteers to be the judge of the bet. Both of them are intrigued, especially when they find out her identity. Nicholas’ interest in particular seems to go beyond the sport of the bet. Readers should know that Caroline never has sex with Derek. (See below.) He book ends on a very sweet and happy note.
This is a fun dual romance and a complete fantasy. Nicholas heals Caroline's wounds with what the SmartBitches call his Magic Wand of Love. But I liked it even if it is very improbable.

Una apuesta entre dos amigos para conocer al mejor amante y una candidata que los evaluará.
El Duque de Rothay, Nicholas Manning y el Conde de Manderville, Derek Drake, se desafían y han encontrado a su jueza, pero el juego se les puede ir de las manos y desafiar a sus sentimientos.
Sigo en mi afán por descubrir nuevas autoras, en esta ocasión se trata de Emma Wildes de la que no había leído nada aún. Me gusta el estilo de escritura que tiene y cómo ha desarrollado la historia; no tuve ningún problema, la lectura ha sido fluida, con ritmo y ningún momento en el que sintiera que me aburría. Por esa parte no puedo quejarme.
Si no leéis alguna sinopsis en la que se desvela medio libro, al principio tendréis esa pequeña duda en cuanto a quienes serán los protagonistas principales ya que tenemos a Caroline Wynn, Nicholas Manning y Derek Drake, un trío que aunque sabremos por dónde van a ir los tiros habrá que tener en cuenta.
Me ha gustado ese secreto o incógnita de no saber la pareja principal (aunque no nos duren muchas páginas) pero me ha encantado y me ha resultado refrescante.
Sin duda me han gustado todos los personajes y sus historias: Nick, Caroline, Derek y Annabel Reid. No me podría decantar por una pareja en concreto creo que cada una tiene cosas que me gusta encontrar.

Sigo en mi afán por descubrir nuevas autoras, en esta ocasión se trata de Emma Wildes de la que no había leído nada aún. Me gusta el estilo de escritura que tiene y cómo ha desarrollado la historia; no tuve ningún problema, la lectura ha sido fluida, con ritmo y ningún momento en el que sintiera que me aburría. Por esa parte no puedo quejarme.

Two attractive young nobleman embark on a drunken, public wager about which is the better lover, and are very surprised when a notoriously untouchable viscount’s widow steps forward volunteering to serve as the anonymous judge. Caroline has had a very bad history with marital relations and hopes to discover there’s more to it than she’s experienced. Surprise! -- she does indeed.
I started this story knowing virtually nothing about it and was kept glued to my ereader while it unfolded. Which hunky guy would turn out to be the hero? Was Caroline really going to get it on with both of them? (I'm really not sure any of this is intended to be a mystery, but just in case, further commentary in the spoiler: )
So why not a higher rating? I found Wildes a better storyteller than a writer. With better editing and more time spent on character development, this could have been an amazing book. I will definitely read Wildes again and hope to see her reach her obvious potential.

This is a stand alone book, and my first read from this author. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Although it sounds like a story about one lady sleeping with two men, it's really the story of two couples. Usually when a book splits the focus between a main and secondary couple, the overall story suffers...but in this case, I felt like it worked. Lady Caroline Wynn is a widow. She had a miserable marriage and believes herself frigid. What better way to disprove it than to be wooed by two notorious rakes? Derek, Earl of Manderville, started the bet while drowning his sorrows over the engagement of his uncle's ward. He realized too late the reality of his feelings and he thinks he's lost his chance with Annabel. Meanwhile, Derek's friend Nicholas, Duke of Rothay, is captivated by Caroline and the time they spend together changes the course of events for all the characters. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.

This was a pleasant straightforward dual romance, written in a no frills manner. A wallpaper historical but so are the majority of them out there are, now-a-days.
As revealed in the backblurb, I loved the set-up. Let me make it clear that Caroline does NOT sleep with both men. Hence, its a dual romance. I am such a jaded reader that I thought there was no way I wouldn't see Caroline NOT sleeping with both as "chickening out" but I actually enjoyed the way the story unfolded. My main beef with the book was that there was a lot of telling and not showing. Don't tell me how intelligent the conversation is. Show me! That doesnt mean that I need a dissertation on Voltaire but a little incorporation to show that the author and characters know what they are talking about would go a long way.
This is Emma Wildes first foray into Mass Market and it's a smooth transition. I have read some of her ebooks under her various aliases and this was more polished than anything she has shown so far.

Una lectura entretenida, que me ha gustado mucho.
Aunque pensé que sería de una forma la historia, no me ha disgustado que haya acabado siendo de otra manera.
Se supone que al comienzo serían tres protagonistas y pasan a ser dos parejas de protagonistas, que se van alternando sus historias a medidas que lees y están relacionadas entre si.
No ha estado nada mal.
Me gusta como escribe la autora y espero seguir leyendo más libros de ella,

Lo avevo in lista da una vita, ma sabato l'ho trovato nelle bancherelle a 2 euro.
Per cui: letto in un pomeriggio di pioggia e vento, sotto il piumone.
Carino, carino.
Il Duca Diabolico e l'Apollo biondo sono inverosimili ma appagano. In certi momenti i due sono così perfetti e meravigliosi (specie Nicholas strapazzato), che più che un historical, sembra un fantasy (...), ma a volte il nostro cuore di lettrici romantiche e scalcinate ha bisogno anche di questo.
Per cui: letto in un pomeriggio di pioggia e vento, sotto il piumone.

Piacevolissimo. Mi è piaciuto molto più del primo romanzo della Wildes.
In entrambe le storie le protagoniste centrali sono due donne che prendono in mano le redini della loro vita e si impegnano per migliorarsi e migliorare il loro futuro. Se nel primo romanzo l'eroina era già sposata e voleva riconquistare il marito, in questo romanzo l'eroina vuole risanare i traumi di un matrimonio infelice.
Caroline sa che, oltre a quello che ha vissuto con il marito, c'è molto di più. Sa che tra le donne e gli uomini ci può essere amore e passione ed è determinata a scoprire se le accuse del marito defunto erano vere o meno e se per davvero è incapace di provare amore o passione. Nella società Caroline è vista come una vedova fredda, inavvicinabile proprio per la sua tendenza a isolarsi emotivamente da tutto, per non soffrire. Ad un certo punto, però, si rende conto che è giovane e che la sua vita può cambiare. Approfitta, quindi, di una scommessa tra due famosi libertini per mettersi finalmente alla prova e scoprire se ha un futuro come donna e moglie oppure se si deve accontentare di essere una vedova per sempre.
I due libertini sono la soluzione perfetta: Derek, il duca scuro e intenso, e Nicholas, il conte biondo e angelico. Caroline si mette in gioco con loro due, lasciandosi trasportare da questi due personaggi completamente diversi tra loro. Derek è il primo a 'giocare' con Caroline, e per forza di cose risulta essere il protagonista maschile. Tra i due scatta subito un'intesa che va al di là della passione fisica: Derek si rende conto che Caroline ha subito degli abusi e adotta un atteggiamento molto delicato che riesce a superare le barriere che Caroline ha eretto attorno a sé. Scopriamo, quindi, un eroe che si lascia trasportare e che 'discute' il suo conflitto interiore con il lettore. Se dapprima è freddo e distaccato, man mano diventa più umano e coinvolto, più ammorbidito. Una trasformazione molto credibile e ben fatta.
Dall'altra parte Caroline ha con Nicholas un rapporto amichevole, fin da subito. Sia perché lei e Derek sono la coppia dichiarata, sia perché la Wildes ha voluto creare una trama secondaria dedicata proprio a Nicholas e Annabel, la sua amata. Infatti l'angelo biondo soffre intensamente per amore, e l'autrice ci crea delle scene in cui lui è così intensamente distratto dal mondo e concentrato su Annabel che la loro storia diventa a volte preponderante rispetto alla principale. Le due relazioni si sviluppano parallelamente ma nessuna delle due ruba spazio all'altra, offuscando l'importanza della trama principale.
La Wildes ha scelto molto bene la trama e ha saputo creare non due, ma quattro protagonisti ben fatti e ben accoppiati. Decisamente un romanzo migliore rispetto al primo, perché anche le scene d'amore sono ben descritte, ben dosate e non invadenti.

" Proposta indecente" è un romanzo spettacolare.
Un vero e proprio trampolino nella realtà della vita dei primi anni dell'Ottocento.
La storia si basa su di una scommessa, che viene fatta tra due gentiluomini e libertini al tempo stesso, Nicholas e Derek, su chi, in una competizione, risulterebbe essere un amante perfetto.
Tale proposta viene accolta, con sorpresa, da una giovane vedova, lady Caroline.
Cosa può mai spingere una donna così affascinante e bella ad accettare tale proposta?
Questo è uno dei tanti misteri che vien svelato lentamente con lo scorrere delle pagine.
Andando incontro alla paura più grande di esser smascherata e quindi, di vedere il suo nome associato all'immoralità e al successivo giudizio della società, la signora, non vien mai meno alla parola data, e invoglia i due signori a dare il meglio di se stessi, ma con la massima discrezione.
Forse è l'unico modo che le è rimasto per riuscire a superare gli incubi di un matrimonio sofferto.
Scorrendo le varie pagine, mi sono trovata ad essere spettatrice delle varie feste e dei vari cicalecci in cui le donne di quell'epoca amavano intrattenersi.
Ho rispolverato quelle che erano le antiche e rigide regole comportamentali e mi son ritrovata a pensare a quanto fosse oltraggioso incrociare uno sguardo di troppo con un uomo.
Pazzesco: la cosa mi ha fatto sorridere non poco!
Nicholas afferma che Caroline era vista come un "dipinto in un museo", ne attirava l'attenzione da un punto di vista estetico, ma sapeva che non ne avrebbero mai potuto possederne un tratto.
Quindi non perdeva neanche il tempo a fantasticarci su.
Immaginate la sua sorpresa quando è stata proprio tale signora a farsi avanti.
Le pagine scorrevano velocissime e ciò dimostra, ancora una volta, la maestria della Wildes nel raccontare sentimenti e sensazioni di tutti i personaggi in maniera egregia.
Gli scenari cambiavano, come anche i pensieri dei protagonisti, or raccontando dolori per un amore non corrisposto, or mostrando le arti amatorie del duca.
Ma dietro facciate di uomini di mondo, si racchiudono due cuori che han sofferto per amore, uno in tenera età, l'altro per ostinazione nei confronti del matrimonio.
Può una sola lettera, una sola missiva cambiare il corso della vita di questi due gentiluomini?
Riusciranno a superare il loro peggior incubo di esser legati, dipendere, da un'altra persona?

This description from the back of the book is what made me decide to read this book. I wondered how a Historical Romance was going to pull this off, the heroine sleeping with two men and judging which one was the better lover. It sounded very intriguing and different and I just had to read it!
The first half of the book was a disappointment to me. I like to get to know the characters and feel the longing and want and tension between the hero and heroine before they jump into bed together, especially in a Historical Romance. But they wasted no time in getting into bed and I just wasn't into it. But about half-way in to the book it got better. A lot better!
The book ended up being more like two stories under one cover. It actually had 2 Heroines and 2 Heroes. The first two were the Duke of Rothay and Lady Caroline Wynn and the second two were the Earl of Manderville and Lady Annabelle (her last name escapes me at this time). I loved the story between the Earl and Annabelle. I wish they had their own book, I would have loved to go deeper into their lives and relationship.
I don't want to give anything else away about the book, so if you are as intrigued as I was and you don't mind hopping right into bed with your characters from the beginning, then go ahead and read the book. It will be worth your time and maybe you too will be shouting at the end "YES, there's going to be a duel!!", oops! I said I wouldn't give anything else away! Sorry, I just get so excited over a duel, don't you?

Uma Aposta Perversa foi o primeiro livro que li de Emma Wildes e devo dizer que estava à espera de mais. Para dizer a verdade, achei o livro um grande cliché.
Ao nível das personagens: as personagens são lindas de morrer (tanto as masculinas como as femininas, um loiro outro moreno, uma loira outra ruiva); são personagens fortes, marionetas da sociedade mas que lutam com todos os meios contra isto; pertencem à alta sociedade londrina e as personagens masculinas são (ou eram) considerados os maiores libertinos da sociedade pelos quais as mulheres suspiravam e cochichavam em segredo; entretanto acabam por se apaixonar perdidamente (e em pouco tempo!, nomeadamente no caso do duque) pelas mulheres mais respeitadas e integras da sociedade que sofrem em silêncio por amor e pela desigualdade de direitos estando indefesas e à mercê dos homens.
Ao nível da escrita: a escrita é fluída e o livro lê-se muito rapidamente até porque uma pessoa acaba por se embrenhar na história ficando cada vez mais curiosa pelo desfecho.
No geral gostei do livro mas não adorei. Irei dar outra oportunidade à autora.October 2, 2017

Un romanzo entusiasmante.
La Wildes riesce non solo a creare una storia originale fin dall’inizio e poi nello sviluppo delle vicende, ma è capace di regalarci personaggi dalle mille sfaccettature, senza risultare mai banali. E ci dona un uomo come Nicholas, uno degli eroi romantici più sexy e affascinanti letti negli ultimi tempi.
La storia, narrata alternativamente dai punti di vista dei quattro protagonisti, scorre senza mai un attimo di noia; la Wildes tratteggia con maestria e profondità i sentimenti e le sensazioni di tutti i personaggi, rendendoli fortemente reali e vicini. E anche i personaggi che hanno poche battute, sono resi e caratterizzati con cura.
La Wildes si dimostra ancora di più un'autrice sensibile e di classe; senza dubbio merita di essere pubblicata con regolarità, perchè le sue storie sono fresche, nuove, e molto coinvolgenti.

como não poderia deixar de ser mais uma vez Emma Wildes, surpreende e encanta.
Uma historia com uma trama bem delineada, apelativa e que no fundo sem drama acaba por mencionar um dos grandes flagelos infelizmente ainda bem actuais, como é o caso da violência domestica.
Os protagonistas resolvem a situação de uma forma doce, amorosa e positiva, sendo que a atitude não é de grandes intensidades, mas tem o bastante para dar "apego" á historia e também um toque de "ansiedade" quando esta se torna mais "violenta".
Sem duvida uma boa historia.

Un libro muy romántico de los de toda la vida en el que no hay una historia de amor, hay dos! Los protagonistas masculinos hacen una apuesta a ver quien de los dos es mejor amante. El resto hay que leerlo porque está muy bien. Vas viviendo ambas historias paralelamente, y te encariñas con los personajes rápidamente, son sinceros, sexys, románticos, pelín duros....Muy interesantes.

De Emma Wildes ya leí Lecciones de seducción y me gustó mucho. Una apuesta indecente me ha gustado incluso más. Me apetecía una novela romántica de época y he acertado. Me ha encantado la sensualidad y el erotismo que transmite. Y los fabulosos 5 días en la casa del campo 😍.

Esse é o meu primeiro livro dessa autora e certamente lerei outros de seus títulos.
A história começa quando Caroline, uma jovem viúva vinda de uma infância e casamento traumáticos, resolve participar de uma aposta entre dois libertinos como forma de se libertar sexualmente.
Eu fiquei um pouco apreensiva com essa premissa, mas a autora justificou a escolha de Caroline de uma forma interessante e satisfatória.
Por conta da aposta, Caroline passa uma semana com Nicholas, um poderoso Duque avesso a qualquer tipo de envolvimento emocional ou compromisso.
Caroline também não busca um relacionamento e, talvez por conta disso, sua sinceridade e maturidade encantam Nicholas.
Mas, de acordo com os termos da aposta, agora Caroline tem que passar uma semana com o melhor amigo de Nicholas, um charmoso marquês (Derek), que, por sua vez, está apaixonado por uma moça que conhece desde a infância, mas que está noiva de outro.
Gostei muito dos personagens e a história flui bem e mantém o leitor interessado e curioso.
