This is quite a fun choose-your-own-adventure book based on episode 4 of the Star Wars series of films. There is no combat system in this book; it just provides straight-forward choices to be made.
The book itself is quite good. You're the "friend" of Luke Skywalker who has been shoe-horned into scenes from the film that he wasn't actually in, but it strangely works. While there probably aren't as many choices available to be made in this book that I would have liked, I did enjoy how different each branching path can become based on the decisions you do make.
For example, you can if you want just follow the events of the film and you will come to pretty much the same conclusion, except Luke's friend (played by you) tags along for the ride. If you deviate from that main path however, you can end up working for the Empire, making it so that Ben Kenobi doesn't actually die (and even saving Alderaan in one path), and in one extreme case Vader may not even survive the story!
Like most choose-your-own books when its over it leaves you wanting a bit more, but its fun while it lasts.
A fascinating view of the original story that launched everything Star Wars! From the POV of Luke's friend from Tatooine, you get all of the action from the main story, plus so many tangents that enrich the possible narratives that might have happened along the way :-)
