A bit silly and I only knew about half the people in it but kinda fun to own. Pretty sure I will cook nothing out of it but hey, it’s Miss Piggy and life would be dull without muppets
I love Miss Piggy and I loved this book -- some of the recipes were really good but the cleverness of the whole concept (her tips and tricks, her remarks about celebrities, etc.) made the book just a fun quick read. I've had this book for years but never read it thoroughly. I like Miss Piggy so much, I even wrote a poem about her when I was much younger.
In the kitchen with Miss Piggy is the sweetest cookbook that I ever read. Yes, I said that I read it cover to cover. Who can resist the muppets? Not me. :) This book is not only cute, its laugh out loud funny. The list of celebrities who contributed to this book is a long one.
I bought this book for the Miss Piggy aspect but read it for the recipes which probably explains why I didn't enjoy it so much.
The recipes vary from things I'd be likely to try to things with hard to find ingredients or things I'd never eat (ie recipes that are not kosher can in MOST cases be adapted, but a lot of these couldn't, or thinks that are so incredibly unhealthy that I would avoid it regardless.
It was a cute book and a little bit of a flashback with the celebrity pictures and notes.
My dad bought me this at a yardsale a couple years ago as a novelty gift. It's become my most-referenced cookbook. I especially love the strawberry champagne sorbet! It's also fun just to look through all of the forgotten celebrities of the 1990s. Most of them only know how to boil noodles.
