Ettie Roberts (head concierge at Cavendish House in London's Mayfair) finds she has a new boss when handsome and wealthy Leon Kariakis buys the building. After they get off to a bad start they begin to find they are attracted to each other. Neither want to get involved but they can't deny the scorching hot chemistry between them. Eventually they make love, Ettie discovers she's pregnant...

This was an engaging romance. Not too much angst, just enough to keep things interesting. Ettie was a very sweet heroine. She was thoughtful and kind to the residents at Cavendish House and they all loved her. Leon was a good hero and obviously smitten with Ettie. I liked how Ettie and Leon talked through their problems like adults instead of endlessly arguing like some couples do in romance novels.

Sweet and sexy read by Natalie Anderson with a very appealing main couple.

Such a lovely romance between heroine Ettie, who is the concierge of the apartment building Cavendish House in London, and billionaire hero Leon who ends up buying the building. I totally loved this one. Leon and Ettie were such endearing and lovable characters, they just jumped right off the page at me. I couldn't wait for them to finally admit their feelings for each other. A beautifully written story with some truly heartfelt moments; engaging and romantic and I completely enjoyed it.

Feelings galore ! This novel is all about MC's getting in touch with their feelings.

There's also:

1. A H who seemed like an alpha but turned out to be a kind and decent beta;

2. A cute, kind hearted heroine who's been betrayed by a former fiance and has a massive insecurity complex;

3. Two adorable doggies;

4. An engagement of convenience brought on by the unexpected pregnancy trope.

The MC's meet when the billionaire property developer H purchases the luxury Mayfair apartment building, in which the heroine is employed as a concierge.

There's no extreme angst in this novel, because both MC's always tried hard to compromise when conflicts arose. I was kinda surprised at the level of civility in their conversations, when compared to other relationships in HPlandia romances.

It was nice to see MC's attempting to work out their issues like rational adults, but I'll admit that it did lower the tension level in the story. That's probably why I wasn't exactly wowed and couldn't give it a higher rating.

They get engaged after their torrid one night stand results in an unplanned pregnancy. The entire ensuing drama hinges on the H's reluctance to factor the "love" word into their new relationship.

It's the same old story of the emotionally stunted H, whose life is turned upside down by a heroine who's eager to open all lines of communication.

Leon, the H, had been emotionally and physically ( not sexually ) abused by his parents. Those ogres had not only euthanized his beloved puppy but conditioned him to believe ( via emotional bullying ) that outward displays of affection are signs of a weak individual.

Ettie, the heroine, is a caregiver/nurturer personality type. She's spent her entire life looking after her late mother and making sacrifices for her younger sister. She's also suffering from the after effects of a vicious pre-wedding dumping by her user former fiance and first love. She's been celibate until her one night stand with the H.

Neither character knows how to trust. The H protects his emotions by suggesting their relationship be based solely on friendship, sex and a mutual affection for their unborn child. The insecure heroine, is plagued with thoughts of sexual inadequacy because her former fiance had jilted her the morning after taking her virginity.

There are a few hot sex scenes, some intense dialogue, minor arguments, a heroine hissy fit followed by her rejection of his marriage contract. Amidst all of this, we have some super cuteness courtesy of 2 doggies named Toby and Basil.

The novel would've benefitted from an epilogue because we never get to see the MC's baby or bask in the reflected glow of their future happiness. This lack of an epilogue seems to be a trademark of this author.

If you love good guy H's and goody 2 shoes heroines and you're into a more tender type of love story, then you'll probably enjoy this novel.

Safety: No cheating, no OW, no OM and the heroine had only one lover before the H.

So hot, steamy, passionate full of angst! I have no words! This book is amazing. Super romantic and intense. Hero is sex on legs, tortured but vulnerable and loving and heroine is a sweetheart who breaks down his walls. Perfect couple, sizzling chemistry. I highly recommend this book! But did they have a boy or a girl? I wish there was an epilogue with their baby.

"Pregnant By The Commanding Greek" is the story of Ettie and Leon.

Oh I absolutely adored this book!

Our heroine was strong yet vulnerable, the hero was alpha and obsessive yet caring, their chemistry and lovemaking was so SO HOT, and the book was filled with emotions, feels, angst and happiness. I really enjoyed everything- from their initial encounter, the ONS to the pregnancy and marriage takeover. The heroine's hard work for the sister and the hero's poor little rich boy story were endearing. And yes, all the puppy love definitely sealed the deal.

I love a feel-good tearjerker. For me it didn't even need an epilogue, I knew these two would be happy together.

Really lovely story with an equally lovely couple. Ettie is one of my most favourite HP heroines and Leon is also a firm favourite. My only gripe... no epilogue.

Awwww I loved these two.

Leon, the H, is a sweetheart. He’s caring, funny, compassionate, and oh so slightly broken. It’s a miracle that he turned out as well as he did with parents like his.

Ettie is truly his perfect match. She is kind, loving, loyal, and determined to do the best she can for the people she loves. Even if that person is an elderly dog named Toby, whose equally elderly owner has just passed away.

The first meeting sets the tone for the couple’s relationship. Ettie was all heat and passion and Leon was soooo cold, but so fascinated by her heat and passion. I adored them from the very first introduction.

The book is a very easy read. No big drama, no outside influences. Just a couple with baggage trying to feel their way through an unexpected lightening strike of a relationship. It is as easy to recommend as it was to read.

Pregnant by the Commanding Greek by Natalie Anderson is a sexy and enjoyable romance about a wealthy Greek businessman and the woman who shows him what’s he’s been missing by keeping his heart under wraps.

Antoinette ‘Ettie’ Roberts is the concierge for the beautiful upscale Cavendish House apartment building. She’s the woman who’ll track down anything the tenants require on a whim, making many friends in the process. When a long time tenant passes away, Ettie discovers that the man’s family wants them to get rid of his dog! Horrified, she confronts the visitors in the tenant’s suite, wrongly blaming the fate of the dog on a man who turns out not to be a relative but rather the new owner of Cavendish House.

Hotelier and building tycoon Leon Kariakis likes the bold woman who accuses him of something he would never do, despite the mistake. In fact, he’s quite open to taking care of the dog in his penthouse suite – so long as Ettie will be responsible for his outdoor walks. Embarrassed but willing to put it behind them if Leon’s willing, she agrees. He is her new boss after all!

Despite their awkward first meeting, nothing can stop the attraction that simmers between them. When Leon clearly is interested in pursuing it, Ettie agrees to a sexy one night stand with the agreement that it won’t interfere with their working arrangement. But when Ettie discovers that she’s pregnant it opens up the door to something more. Will Leon be willing to risk his heart for a future with Ettie and their child?

PREGNANT BY THE COMMANDING GREEK by author Natalie Anderson is a May 2019 release by Harlequin Presents series.

Leon Kariakis is a powerful tycoon and used to getting his own way. He stops for no one. Yet he finds himself intrigued by Ettie Roberts, who had mistaken him for someone else.

They couldn’t resist the chemistry flaring up between them. It was just one hot, passionate night. Then Ettie finds out she is pregnant.

Could Leon walk away from a pregnant Ettie? Could he let his child be born without getting married to Ettie first?

And Leon was not one to listen to a ‘no’ then why was he so concerned about Ettie’s feelings?

PREGNANT BY THE COMMANDING GREEK is a swoon-worthy romance. Author Natalie Anderson brought this sensational tale full of shimmering emotions amid all the drama. Terrific characters and a fast-paced story. This book would enthrall a reader and keep her hooked till the last page.

Highly recommended for all readers of romance.

Until her pregnancy shock!

Powerful Greek Leon Kariakis is not accustomed to being challenged—least of all by an impulsive woman who’s mistaken his identity. Yet warmhearted Ettie Roberts is a breath of fresh air, and Leon can’t resist indulging in a night of tantalizing pleasure! But Ettie’s pregnancy bombshell demands action. Leon’s heir will not be born out of wedlock, so Ettie must say “I do”…

Ettie and Leon meet under the most unusual circumstances when she believes the man standing in the apartment of a recently deceased tenant is the nephew of said tenant and dresses him down for trying to get rid of the dog. He is not the nephew, but the new owner of the building that she is concierge. Ettie decides to let go to the chemistry between the two for one time and then she avoids Leon for several weeks. She is ill which her co workers say is unusual for her to be out. Leon goes to check on her, she returns to work, passes out, and Leon gets her a doctor to find out what is wrong with her. She is pregnant with his child and to know what happens you have to read the book.

I liked it, I really liked the hero and heroine, their connection was very believable. I feel like the pregnancy sped up the progress of their relationship but that they still would have ended up together. The hero's turnaround at the end was very believable and it was a whole chapter of him coming to the realization he loved her and that he didn't want to be like his own parents to his child. P.

* I wish there was an epilogue though

Buttercup

So very good. What a moving story. They both were so right for each other. Eggs was a good daughter and great sister. Leon needed her because his earlier life was a disaster. Lots of money but an extremely emotionless mother and a nonexistent father. They recused each other. Her love for him made the difference in both their futures. Great story.

I liked this, but it needed an epilogue. I wanted to see how their relationship developed through her pregnancy. What was the point of her being pregnant if I wasn’t even going to find out the gender. I wanted to see his reaction when the baby was born. So many moments that could’ve been wrapped up in an epilogue.

First Natalie Anderson read!

I enjoyed this author’s voice a lot. From the first chapter I was hooked! NA knows how to make the characters come to life. This story was very different from usual HP reads. Hero was not a alpha as I’m used to, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Very emotional, slower burn read.

This was just lovely. The two of them had emotional/psychological baggage and that was the central conflict. I really enjoyed the gentleness of this story, the lack of cruelty, the general tone and the resolution felt deserved and satisfying.

non virginal heroine

Not a fan of non- virginal heroine, abounded this one, when reading how the hero finally was able to give the heroine what her previous sexual partners were not able to do, orgasm. Regretting paying for this one. Need to read Lynne Graham book now to get to my happy place.

My favourite Mills & Boon in a while.

I loved the chemistry between Ettie and Leon - their interactions were always on point. I do have a thing for powerful men that are not jerks and the H ticked that box for me. I also really enjoyed how caring and supportive the secondary characters were, though I wish we had seen a bit more of Ettie's sister (maybe in an epilogue even?).

Read this book if you like a good pregnancy story (whilst not taking centre stage); you like strong heroines; you adore books that will leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling.
