Jensen James and his band are set for success, but first he's got to dodge advances from the owner of St. Louis's trendiest bar. He needs the protection of his boyfriend; one who doesn't actually exist.

Eric "Cleave" Mercer left being an acceptable member of society behind when he joined the Iron Heretics. One of his few regrets was losing his friendship with JJ. When the man calls needing protection, which also means playing his boyfriend, there's no way he can say no.

Discord is a MM romantic short story set in the Iron Heretics MC universe.

"We're Heretics. Giving no fucks about what anyone thinks is basically our motto."

I grabbed this in a giveaway because:
1. I love MC Romance!!
2. Having read and loved other M/M books, but never an M/M MC Romance, I was curious to see how it is.

That being said, I loved Discord: An Iron Heretics MC Story!! For such a short story it had everything I am looking for in a good read. It's got sass and spunk and a lot of feeling! And at the same time, it is so damn sweet and sexy!!! (*sigh*)

Within a mere 20 something pages, this author managed to get me hooked and yearn for more! Yes! I want more of both JJ and Cleave! And since this seems to be the prequel to the Iron Heretics series, I'll be keeping an eye out for the release of the first book because yes!! It was that good!

If you love MC M/M Romance, you should give this a try. It's a very short read and totally worth your time!
Happy reading! :)

Short and sweet freebie. For a couple of old friends with a history and a long separation, I like how the author doesn’t bring any unnecessary relationship angst. That being said, this was nice but way too short. Just a tiny glimpse of what’s to come for the Iron Heretics. I hope we get more of their story.

This was a good little short. I was happy to see Cleave get the guy of his dreams. yeah, he may have had to wait a bit, but for them, the wait was worth it. So it's a good thing. I'm ready to see who's next and what's coming for the Heretic's. I love these guys. I had to go refresh myself with them.

Short but cute. I would've liked a bit more substance, but it was nice.

DISCORD introduces readers to the Iron Heretics motorcycle gang with a short story about Cleve and Jensen. I always like fake relationship romances so this was a cute read. Jensen and Cleave used to know each other, so their relationship is pretty low angst and makes for a quick and fun read.

J.J. & Cleave.

I enjoyed this one, but it was over before it began. Two high school friends get back in touch. J.J., now the singer in a band, needs an intimidating boyfriend to discourage a slimy club owner from pursuing things with him. Cleave is happy to help. He was always protective of J.J., but now he finds himself hoping the boyfriend thing won’t just be an act. Luckily, J.J. wants the same thing.

Jensen James (JJ) and Eric "Cleave" Mercer were high school friends. Cleave protected JJ from bullies, but they lost touch after school. Now JJ needs Cleave's help again to keep a pushy bar owner from stopping JJ's band success. After years apart, Cleave readily agrees to JJ's plan to play his fake boyfriend but with thoughts of making it a reality.

I enjoyed this story. Best read in sequence of Iron Heretics series.

Loved it!
I love a good friends to lovers troupe, I love a good MC series because one of the MCs is usually j/p towards the other MC and this did not disappoint.

I am really looking forward to this series, I absolutely loved Cold Light Assassin and the Iron Hectics MC that was introduced, I’m looking forward to reading more of these characters

A short novella free from Prolific Works with a Iron Heretic MC Club story.
A great fake-boyfriend to lovers, old school friends reunite and hot chemistry. Disrupt is the first book and I'll look for to reading Disarm coming soon.
When Cleave receives a call from a friend from high school years he wonders why.
Jenson aka JJ was in a band and needed help.

3.5/5

I’m so confused. Why was this so short? This could have been a great novella or even half a good book. I enjoyed these characters quite a lot. I am a huge fan of the couple liking each other from the start and having to work through life’s problems to get together. This just seemed like a trailer for a movie or a cliffs notes version. I really wanted the whole story.

I love stories centered around MCs! Michelle Frost gives us a glimpse into the Iron Heretics with Cleave and JJ, who are very sweet and sexy. I hope we see them again and I am really looking forward to seeing more hot motorcycle guys.

I wanted to give this a lower rating for the simple fact that is was only 30 FREAKING pages! I have a hate/love relationship with short stories and novellas. They just make me want me and I would have read a full length fake boyfriend story about JJ & Cleave in a heart beat.

Because this is so short anything else I say would be giving away too much. I will say, Cleave and JJ are old friends who’ve lost touch with each other. After many years JJ reaches out to Cleave for a favor.

This book is a perfect quick read for your lunch break.

Loved it!! I’ve read the series so far except for the two prequels. Which I’m headed that way now. Loved all the characters so far. But I hope these get a full story of their own cause that was just tease but so good. Can’t wait to read the next in the series come 2021. Xx

So I enjoyed it - but it was WAY too short - there was potential for at least another chapter, some kind of greater tension between JJ & the douche that he asked Cleave to be a buffer for. Everything just resolved way too fast. But still, not a bad read while it lasted.

I would have enjoyed this more if there had been more to it. It seemed like it was missing some of it. Ok over all just would have been better if it had been more.
