They're from different worlds. And they're about to collide... Callie Wilson has exactly what she’s always wanted. A luxury apartment with a terrific view of the city. The coveted position as CEO of her father’s billion-dollar health supplement company. She’s worked hard and it should make her feel as if she’s on top of the world. It’s all finally paying off. Too bad she’s more alone and depressed than ever. When a handsome silver-haired stranger shows up at her apartment and kidnaps her to bring her before his king, Callie’s first instinct is to escape. Until she meets said king. He’s the biggest, sexiest dark-haired man she’s ever met. And he just happens to have wings. Like the big, badass kind of wings. Is he an angel? If so, she’s definitely going to hell because her thoughts are anything but pure. The Zenarians arrived on Earth eleven hundred years ago when a warring race of predators invaded their home world. They’ve lived in secret ever since. As king of the Zenarians, Zar’s first priority has always been the well-being of his people. When it becomes clear that they’re in dire need of a new form of genetically modified ginseng—and the only company selling the product has just taken it off the market—Zar makes it his number one priority to rectify the situation. Zar knows that Callie is the key to achieving his goal. When he meets the blonde beauty face-to-face he’s drawn to her in a way that sends his libido into overdrive. For the first time in Zar’s life, he puts his own needs before that of his people. And he needs Callie. The instant Callie strokes Zar’s wings a change comes over the silver-eyed king. Now he’s talking about soulmates and claiming she belongs to him. Her brain is telling her to run, but her body isn’t in a listening mood. And it isn't long before Callie surrenders, body and soul.

This book was a delightful discovery ! I enjoyed every bit of it, from start to finish. I couldn't put it down honestly. I really hope the author makes it a series because I want Zar's brothers to find their Ofelias as well, especially Zadoc, he deserves to have a second chance at love. I'm curious about how things will evolve with Kade and Iris wink wink. I will also be interested in Flare and Sasha's story but I feel like this one should wait until Zar's brothers have their own HEA.

This story had every thing I like : humor, some action and angst, hot sex, sweet romance, and a well thought worldbuilding. The Zenarians are an interesting race and the author did a great job creating their background and explaining how their society worked in such a way that the reader doesn't get overwhelmed with too much information at once.

You can't help but fall in love with Zar. Even tho he is King and ruler of his people he doesn't act like a pompous ass. He can be quite the Alpha male but it's not OTT. He is a fierce and kind friend and brother. And he's an absolute sweetheart when it comes to his ofelia. — I really loved Callie's personality. Even tho she has a kind nature , she isn't afraid to stand up for others or speak her mind and put her foot down. She isn't one of those TSTL characters, and she isn't one those characters that's led by her hormones, which I really appreciate. She has a good head on her shoulders and knows how to think things through. Plus, I love her sarcasm and feisty comebacks.

I would have hoped for redemption when it comes to Naxon because he was wronged and the hate he held in his heart caused by his father and the death of his mother just made my heart ache for him , I was still a bit saddened for him in the end. If things had gone differently I would have loved to read his story with a shot at redemption in finding his Ofelia...

**

Do I recommend this book ?
Absolutely. If you enjoy aliens (that have kind of the same physical attributes as Angels) living in a hidden city of their own making on Earth , this is for you. There is no Earth government involved, and the humans are not aware of the Zenarians existence. Their race is a peaceful one for the most part, and don't want to interfere in the Earthlings evolution which I wholeheartedly appreciate.

Will I reread it ?
I will be rereading this book in the future that's for sure. And I'll keep my fingers crossed for future ones.

FINAL THOUGHTS ;
I hope very much that Anne Rainey decides to turns this into a series because it has a really great potential and I could become addicted to it pretty quickly. Oh, and I would have loved to see more of Bar and Kera the lhargerre pair, but maybe we'll be able to get a bit more close and personal with those two beasts in the next books? I really hope so.

The first story in a new series, this was a very good read. I would have preferred if it went more in to depth about the Zenarians and hopefully that will happen in future books. Overall not a bad start to the series.

Callie is kidnapped and taken to a strange place to meet Zar.
Callie Wilson gets a call from the doorman Saying that there is a man in the lobby who would like to talk to her but when she gets there he threatens the doorman if she does not go with him. Along the way she tries grabbing the steering wheel which results in her banging her head then later she makes a run for it but he soon catches her. As they near the end of he puts a blindfold on her and she has a panic attack. Flare sees the reaction she has to the blindfold and takes it off but gets her to promise she will keep her eyes closed. They go through an invisible barrier and the scenery changes to huge trees but when they go through the town Callie is shocked to see a woman stand flex huge wings and take off and she passes out. Literally jumps into the fire with a hand basket. Loved it, hands downs. Tons of action, smimmer romance throughout the beginning, great sex scenes, and a cracking adventure. I wished it was longer. But beggers can't be choosers, now can they? The plot wasn't really straight forward till the middle of the book. Then you knew. But with a great set of strong lead characters, you won't be disappointed. The lead female is one heck of a feisty firecracker. And our lead male is your typical Class A alpha male on steroids basically.
Callie doesn't know why tall, dark and gloomy don't get the picture. His boss could just call her and be done. But noooo she has to leave all that she knows behind to meet this mysterious Zar person... now the only other question would be if she survives the outcome.

This is an alien/human romance with fated mates and a happily ever after ending guaranteed. Callie is CEO of her father’s company. She has worked her socks off to make her father proud, foregoing relationships and friends and all in vain. Zar is the king of the Zenarians on earth. They are in desperate need of a modified ginseng that Callie’s company makes, however they have taken it off the market. Zar requests that Flare bring her to him unharmed. Callie really doesn’t make it easy on him though. When she meets Zar for the first time, she touches his wings, yes wings. He knows at once that she is his Ofelia. It doesn’t take long before Callie and Zar get steamy.

Callie worked her way up in her father’s vitamin company on her own to win her father’s affection but he never gave her the attention she deserved. Zar was the King of the Zenarians, a winged race that settled on earth in cloaked cities in some mountains. Zar sent his Regis to get Callie for two reasons , his people needed a synthetic vitamin that her father’s company took off the market and he knew she was his Ofelia, his destiny. The interesting and exciting romance between Callie and Zar was explosive while they faced faced evil enemies from Zars past, resistance from some Zenarians, doubt and a deep and fast love. Fun

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Callie is a smart, beautiful, strong woman. She works in the supplement energy and that brings Zar into contact with her. He is a leader on a mission to help his alien race. He knows that Callie can help him, but he had no idea that she would be his mate. These two are perfect for each other. They have to work together if they are to help the Zenarians and have a happy future together. This was a good beginning to this new series. I look forward to the next book

Really enjoyed this book! Zar and Callie are perfectly written characters that follow a plot filled with intrigue. I loved the surrounding characters that are introduced. I am hoping for more stories about Zar’s brothers and of course Flare, my favorite!
I think this plot line was inventive. I like that this is a new take of this genre. I will definitely be reading a lot more from this author.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I loved this book. I’m not much into paranormal but this is mild compared to others I have tried to read. There’s no Shapeshifting in this book. Zenarians are a winged people. This is a story of a King falling in love with an earth born women and the trials and tribulations of that love.
