“What do New Orleans and Boston have in common? Detective Frank Renzi. Susan Fleet's police detective from the Big Easy is at it again in another tense, suspenseful thriller. Fleet serves up another savory dish of Louisiana noir. I can hardly wait for the next one.” — Amazon reader

Music & Mayhem is my game. Started my trumpet career in my teens, got into the mayhem later. My print journalist father taught me how to play pool in the police station. Maybe that's how I discovered my dark side.
After gigging on trumpet in the Boston area for many years (while teaching at Brown University and Berklee College of Music), I moved to New Orleans, which became the setting for my crime thrillers. Scroll down and check the video trailers.
I survived Katrina, but divide my time between Boston and the Big Easy. On my website I post profiles of women musicians. I also write ebooks about true crime: DARK DEEDS about serial killers, stalkers and domestic homicides. Please come visit!!
This is another Frank Renzi novel. Brian Devlin is released from prison early for good behavior. Detective Renzi helped put Devlin in prison. Devlin wants revenge on Renzi. He goes after Frank's father and daughter. This is another thriller and page turner. This has a heart pounding conclusion.
I have read all the Frank Renzi books and I reckon this one is the best yet!
Brian Devlin, leader of an Irish gang and vicious murderer, is released from gaol with one ambition - to hurt Detective Frank Renzi as badly as he possibly can. This plan involves hitting Frank's family and using his own family and associates to do it. As with all revenge plans, Brian doesn't take into account people's inner goodness and a father's determination to protect his daughter.
Fast-paced, well-plotted and well written, this is an excellent book. I read it in one day because I couldn't put it down! I don't want to put any spoilers in so to sum up my impression - excellent and top-class value!
Another outstanding Frank Renzi thriller from author Susan Fleet. Spellbinding and reads very quickly. A must read book in a must read series. check it out !
