In order to rescue Anita, Mal must force herself into a number of parts. Willing friend, drunken party-goer, broken-hearted lover — each more dangerous and riskier than the last. But Anita spurns the help offered, and Mal realises there is more at risk than she first thought. But now it is much too late for her to back out of the bargain she made.

When, out of the blue, everything she had planned for tumbles to the ground, Mal finds herself fighting for someone else entirely. And she really is the only one who can help him, this time.

Unsure of herself and what will happen in her future, Mal clings to her task like a drowning man to a lifebelt. She cannot fail, more than her life is on the line now.

I feel like I can't really rate my own book, so I'm going to leave that blank but here's a slightly more detailed synopsis...

This story follows Mal as she set out to save her exgirlfriend from the likes of the Fae. Mal is forced to face her past and embrace her family history in order to cross to the Faerie realm. Unprepared for what lay ahead, Mal makes alliances during her travels in an effort to save Anita only to discover she doesn't want to be saved. But that's not all she discovers. Secrets of her family's past are revealed and leaves her questioning everything she thought she knew about the Fae as she meets the tall, dark and handsome Fae, Eondéd.

I found the story very intriguing but hard for me to get into at first cause of it being third person and British English, I speak American English and prefer first person POV. However, I didn't let that stop me from reading it. About half way through I was hooked. I can't wait to see what happens with Mal next! What an ending! I didn't find the story predictable or lacking, plenty of twists I didn't see coming. And the realm of Faerie was described beautifully and uniquely made. I would definitely recommend this book and I will be reading the sequel, can't wait to start it!

Not your average fairy tale.

Nancarow is a voyage of self discovery centred around Malena Nancarow, a young woman who ventures into the unknown to rescue the person she believes is the love of her life. Along the way she unearths the secrets of her heritage and faces difficult choices which result in an abrupt change to the direction of the path she thought her future would take her down.

This story of magic, Fae, fairies and life in another realm had me gripped from the start. It’s well written, the characters are relatable and grow with the story and by the end of this book I was left wanting more. Luckily, there is a second book in the pipeline due to be published this year. I, for one, can’t wait!

Nancarow follows the story of Mal, a girl who, at the onset seems perfectly ordinary. When her girlfriend of five years breaks up with her and then immediately vannishes. Mal is forced to come to terms with the life she never wanted to be a part of and travel into the land of the Fae to save her ex lover.
The world is vividly detailed, the characters are unique and believable, and the compelling plot line pulls you deep into the fantastic world of the Faerie.

This is a fantastic first book from a new Author and I very much look forward to reading future works from them.

I feel very lucky to have been chosen to read a beta copy of this book.

This is totally different to my usual genre & I don’t want to say too much in case I give away any spoilers.

It’s a great debut novel & I can’t wait for Molly to write the next instalment so I can find out what the future holds for Mal, Anita & the rest of the characters!

I absolutely loved this book. Such a wonderful story that I never wanted it to end. Could not put it down. The author takes you into a wonderful world, that you can see from her amazing way with words, so much detail, a storyline that has you hoping, laughing, worrying for the characters that you have met. An ending that leaves you wanting to read more - definitely recommend!
I received a pre-release copy.
