After deciding to accept Dr. Walker’s treatment at Everlasting Paradise—the island compound dedicated to treating her condition—Grace is starting to learn how to live like a zombie. She vows to stay on a human-free diet, and Dr. Walker feeds her need just right. She has even made friends with the island’s inhabitants—other patients who call themselves Zombrids.
When Tristen shows up on the island for a visit, Grace is over the moon. Life seems to finally get better…until Grace discovers that some of the zombie hybrids are sick and Dr. Walker is being vague and shady on the details. Then Tristen suddenly disappears and an unwanted guest reappears in Grace’s life. She can’t help the gnawing ache in the pit of her stomach—and it isn’t hunger.
Maybe it is, a little.
It’s not until she finds a freezer full of horrifying secrets that she realizes Dr. Walker may have some sinister plans for her…and the world. Now, Grace and her fellow Zombrids must figure out how to save the living.

This is an exciting story. Grace has learned to deal with what she is. And coming to the island has made things much better for her. But not everything is going well. Her boyfriend left her suddenly and there are strange secrets here. This is an exciting tale.
It starts where the first one left off. Grace is off to the Island of Costa Rica. I had a feeling something was just off with the place from the get go. There is a new cast of characters in this story. It was really cool learning about them. Knowing why they were there.
Everlasting Paradise.. Yeah it sounds to good to be true.
The character growth was great. I really did like Number One bodyguard and he thought he was doing the right thing. That he was working for honest people. There are some surprise visitors in the mix.
It raises an interesting question, would you want to be immortal?
I like that we learn more about Grace's father as well.
Davis has a talent, the way she weaves the story together. It's an excellent series. I almost hope there will be a third. I wanna know what happens!!...Lissa
I LOVED reading this!!! This book picks up where the first one left off. Grace is now on the island and acclimating to her new life along side the other Zombrids and her bodyguard Vito. However; things aren't as they seem and new revelations will blow your mind and drop your jaw wide open as we continue to learn about the serum and its creator.
J.Q. Davis continues to weave a new twist on zombies that finds you quickly being pulled in. The story line and characters are strong and well executed and the gruesome scenes contine to turn the stomach. I simply cannot wait to see where the author takes us next with this series.
I had finished the first book on one night and I got so excited when I searched the authors page to find a second book I jumped right on it. Amazing, even faster page turner. I was crying, shocked, full of sorrow and hunger right along poor grace. Now the ending was a pure shock. I just hope there is a third book because I can't wait to read more.
Love this sequel to Turning Grace! We get introduced to the island and its current inhabitants: Zombrids like Grace. While on the outside everything seems to be perfect, there are plot twists that’ll put you on the edge of your seat.
