Sameer was an extremely disturbed individual. His violent acts were inconceivable once he lost his temper. Felt bad for the ones who didn't make it. Ending was appropriate.

Bittersweet ending

This was just as good as the first book. It was sad that kalisha and Brock had to die but Sameer got just what he deserved. Instead of getting help, he chose to be a menace to those around him.

Sad and realistic

Domestic abuse and mental health issues are horrible enough alone, but combined, they're doubly lethal. What a tragic story. And the saddest thing is, it's realistic. Everyone witnessing the situation in this story would need therapy to deal with the aftermath. Gina had a strong support system, put everyone around her at risk and barely escaped with her life. The innocent bystanders and their families suffered unnecessarily. I was glad Gina and Kalisha realized they were fighting a common enemy and called a truce.
I would say that in addition to recognizing abuse and escaping as soon as possible, know who you're dealing with. Watch how the person acts around friends, family and in different situations. Google them, do some research. Don't be so quick to bed just anybody. Don't confuse lust and love. And if you still find yourself or friend in an abusive relationship, don't be afraid to seek or provide help.
Good series that I hope readers take to heart.

Nice wrap up

Nina was absolutely correct in her assessment that she took Brock for granted. He always came second to Gina and was even abused by Nina when he sought comfort and attention elsewhere. Yes cheating was wrong, but completely plausible because he was never a priority.

I was not a fan of Kalisha, but she did not deserve to die. Sameer made it crystal clear he cared nothing for her, staying gone should have been easier than taking him back.

Gina really got on my nerves because she continued to play games with Kalisha after Sameer killed her dog so viciously then raped her. You'd think she'd let her grief over Nike make her even more determined to be done with Sameer 's trifling a$$ forever.

I believe Sameer's mother died at the hands of his father because a woman knowingly and priestly disappearing from her children without a trace is unlikely. Sameer killing his father was horrific and brutally senseless. Sameer could have easily walked away from his father and his abuse by not allowing him into his life!

This is a heart warming book series

I really enjoy this book series it touch my heart in so many ways Domestic Violence is serious and real on both sides for men and women it broke my heart they Sameer had so many issues he needed to deal with but he refuse to get
help because he had so much pride. Sameer father had lots of demons and he pass it onto Sameer I really wish Kalisha got the help she needed before Sameer took her life now it’s too late so her son Sampson will be raised without a mother or father. This book touch me in so many ways I’m glad I got out of my situation when I were able to because if I didn’t I could of been a Kalisha and like so many others who die by the hands of someone who tells them they love and won’t hurt us

Black Roses

I’m happy that Gina and Kalisha finally woke up and walk away from toxic relationship with Sameer. Sameer is a coward, selfish, ignorant and disrespectful man. He doesn’t care about anyone feeling, and health but himself. I don’t condone for his actions and his needy.

Lady Lissa and Shelli Marie did a excellent job. They brought the tear in me because it’s emotional and heartbreaking story. Depression and domestic violence are crime. We could relate to the characters and authors. This is learning lesson for everyone and myself. I’ll definitely continue to support and read more from those authors.

Good Read:

Sameer

The things Sameer was doing was so unexplainable, should have gotten help when he killed his bro and girlfriend when was younger but they let him off. His dad was a very bad influence on him that kept his mind gone. In his mind he really felt like he did no wrong when he was beating on Gina and Kalisha. Calista should have been left him but love does something to you that makes you weak for the wrong reasons. I'm glad Gina finally had the strength to walk away even though he was constantly harassing her.

Such a sad and touching story. Domestic abuse is never pretty and it always, always leaves a mark on its victims psyche. This author drew me in and allowed me to feel the depths of her characters ' pain. She wrote with such poignancy and fluidity to bring me to the edge! While I detest men who commit domestic abuse, it was good to see the antagonist's background and see the cycle of what can cause domestic abuse. What has made these two authors become a fixture on my reading list is the fact I didn't cry. Instead I felt the strength of the love of the twins. Bravo!

Abuse isn’t love!

First and foremost Part 2 was fire! It’s been a long time since an author(s) has made me really feel like I couldn’t stand an character lol! I could NOT take Sameer! He was the worst type of person ever!! Even though I couldn’t take him, there was a small tinge of feeling sorry for him. I kind of felt relief when it went down between him and his father. Sameer clearly believed that abuse is love. Even at the end he still couldn’t grasp what he did wrong. The book was worth five stars! Great job!

GUT WRENCHING

This series is a must read. Lady Lissa and Shelli Marie did an amazing job putting this story together. They really give the readers insight on how Donestic Donestic Violence affects so many people. Never disregard the signs of aggressive and abusive behavior. More than likely this is ongoing behavior. Sameer was definitely a damaged individual who didnt have the best role model being with his father. Unfortunately too many people had to suffer because of him. Great job ladies.

A Bit Bittersweet...

I must admit that the climax and ending to this book is very bittersweet. My heart broke for Nina when Sameer killed her husband and soulmate as well as the children who are the real victims. Kalisha's son will never get a know his mother who loved him and Nina's daughter will never know her father. The saddest of all is the fact that Gina's daughters and Kalisha son will never grow up to grow one another. And Nina's daughter will not know Samson. Truly heartbreaking...

This story was interesting in the fact that Sameer was set on a path that would result in nothing more than death. The story progressed well and had the only ending that it could have. The characters were developed enough to aid in my understanding of the author's message. While there was not a lot of movement that happened, I think this story of domestic violence will resonate with some.

Great series!

OMG, it amazes me how this author can really develop the characters and storylines is a domestic violence series. The events were so realistic. Although all domestic violence situations do not end with the abuser getting killed, I’m glad that this was the case with Sameer. I really wanted to know if Brock had been cheating and what was in the note that Sameer left with his grandmother though.

THE DAY SHE TRIED TO LEAVE

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS REAL. I REALLY WISH SAMEER COULD HAVE GOTTEN SOME HELP WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER TO HELP WITH THOSE DEMONS IN HIS HEAD. NINA KNEW FROM DAY ONE THAT SOMETHING WASN’T RIGHT WITH SAMEER. I WISH KALISHA WOULD HAVE SEEN THE SIGNS EARLIER BUT SHE FOUGHT FOR HER LIFE TILL THE VERY END. POOR BROCK WAS JUST TRYING TO PROTECT HIS FAMILY. GREAT READ

Oh wow what a heartfelt read

Sameer finally got his karma at the hands of Gina. Who would've thought that he would've snapped after killing his father. It was sad that so many ppl lost their lives at his hands especially Brock bc he didn't deserve to die. So glad that Gina found a good man in Deon and the girls both had healthy babies. These ladies did an excellent job writing this heartfelt series thank u so much for bringing awareness to DV.

Unbelievable!!!

This book is a story that I will remember for awhile to come. It was very sad. Because domestic violence is nothing to be laugh at or joked about. It's for real people, and very dangerous for all involved. If you are fortunate to get out of it run as fast as you can and tell someone that can help the authorities don't second guess it, or look back at it just get OUT OF IT. This story told the real deal about it. Lata y'all.

Speechless

Overall great read. It's such a shame how being hard headed or even just yearning for love can bring you so much pain. Ladies and gents please take heed to your family and friends oh and those red flags stop thinking you can fix a person. It isn't worth your life.

Must read book. This book has you going from beginning to end. Shameer can get on someone’s nerves. I do not what to give the story away but it’s a eye opener warnings and some signs before you get into a abuse relationship

That ending though....

I sho wanted Shameer to have his day in court. That ninja just snapped. That clearly wasn't love. Cause you wouldn't hurt the one you love. Believe me it's easier said than to do it. But you gotta love yourself more and walk....?

This was a good read. I was a little confused because I thought ericka and Lucinda was Kalishas neighbors at her old apartment and not that they lived next door to crazy ass, but overall it was a good read.
