Seeing her old boss Griffin Kelso’s name show up on her phone gives Delilah Johnston the shivers. His charming but self-centered ways are the #1 reason she left her job behind. Recently divorced, Delilah is starting a new chapter in her life—right after she enjoys a quiet Christmas. She’s flying solo and loving it.
Griffin Kelso has a vision to create an empire entirely on his own. His main goal? To escape the reach of his overbearing billionaire father. This includes ducking a dysfunctional family holiday and recruiting his former assistant to help him hone his plans. That woman could organize confetti in a windstorm.
On impulse, Delilah invites Christmas-hating Griffin over to re-introduce him to holiday cheer. Soon, what started off as just business turns personal. They unwrap their common histories and more. No mistletoe needed.
Christmas for Two is a steamy, coworkers-to-lovers holiday romance with a hint of family drama and a seasoned, BWWM couple. While part of the Thirsty Hearts series, it can be read as a stand-alone story.
Kris Jayne is a devoted writer, reader, and traveler who crafts steamy contemporary romances with heat and heart. She spends her days blissfully sweating out the writing process in the Dallas area with her dogs, Otis the Shih Tzu, Rocco the Terrier, and Red the Foxy Mutt.
Her passion for writing is matched only by her passion for the adventures of travel. In 2008, she let a friend talk her into sleeping outside for the first time in her life when she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.
P.S. If you're buying her a gift, she has a penchant for single-malt Scotch and scarves.
1.0⭐️ I was thoroughly enjoying the story and the burgeoning relationship between Delilah and Griffin. The characters were interesting as was the backstory, and I became invested in and looked forward to the way the story was developing.
BUT, the story very abruptly ended in a cliffhanger at page 66. No warning whatsoever. To make matters worse, the continuation of Delilah’s and Griffin’s story will not appear until May 2020. The rest of the pages of this purported 80 page novella is an excerpt of another book. WTF! 🤬😡🤬😡
I feel thoroughly and most assuredly DUPED. I am f***ing pissed. I have asked Amazon (Kindle) to refund my money for this rip-off. I prefer to be alerted UPFRONT, that a story ends in a cliffhanger and any other alerts that are germane to readers.
Unfortunately, I can’t give this “novella” a minus one rating or I would do so.
This book was a good fun read. The budding romance was very fun to read because the main characters in this book are totally different. Who says opposites attract?? Well opposites did attract in this b ook, that is what makes it fun to read. I liked this book a lot
mf - interracial - holiday romance - older heroine - former boss - 4 stars - cute little story about two lonely people spending the holiday together. Ends in a HFN with a full length novel next in the series.
An impromptu invite for a simple Christmas dinner turns into an unexpected revelation for both Delilah and Griffin.
Although Delilah Johnson is determined to finally pursue her own business venture, it’s Griffin Kelso, her old boss, who wants to propose a new business partnership with her in mind. But Delilah is done with his high maintenance attitude and she won’t be swayed.
It’s when she learns Griffin is spending Christmas solo that she invites him over. Throughout the evening, both Delilah and Griffin learn more about each other, and the attraction is undeniable. Just as things get heated it soon cut short and I’m going to have to wait for what develops for these two. Kris Jayne gives us a well-written, sweet Christmas novella. One that is sure to whet your appetite for the upcoming Holiday Season. I hope to read a conclusion for Griffin and Delilah’s budding romance.
Delilah is spending Christmas by herself because her daughter is spending it with her boyfriend and his family. Delilah gets a call from her ex-boss who wants to talk to her about a job. She tells him No that he was too high maintenance and exhausting. He talked her into coming to talk to him. Somehow while talking to him at his home they start talking about Christmas and she finds out that he doesn't like Christmas and he will be spending it alone so she invites him to spend it with her. As they spend time together the attraction is hard to fight so they don't. To find out what happens next we will just have to wait for book 2. This book was an interesting read and I would recommend it to anyone. "I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review."
This is my first book by this author and it wont be my last.

I received an advance copy of this book. I am voluntarily giving my honest review, and I plan to buy this book when it becomes available.
This was very enjoyable! The only drawback was the lack of specifics about Delilah! I could not be judgemental and call her a cougar yet, as there was not a specific age given for our female! Nor any specific details about her looks! We got more details about the food than about her age! Anyway, as enjoyable as it was, it also needs to be believable! I have had a 20+ years old coming on to me when I was 45 and I assure you that was not going anywhere! The reality of that is like a slap in the face wake up call! Anyway, I will look at the follow up and see how believable this relationship turns out! Happy Holidays to All, this 2022 season!
GRIFFITH DAD AND EX-GIRLFRIEND ARE TRASH AND I’M GLAD HE DIDN’T ALLOW HIS DAD TO GUILT TRIP HIM INTO SPENDING THE HOLIDAYS WITH THEM🙄
GRIFFITH & DELILAH WERE KIND OF TOTAL OPPOSITES. FORMER BOSS/EMPLOYEE WHO DECIDE TO SPEND CHRISTMAS TOGETHER. BOTH NERVOUS ABOUT BEING ALONE TOGETHER, BUT EXCITED ABOUT NOT BEING ALONE FOR THE HOLIDAYS. DINNER WAS AMAZING, BUT DESERT TURNED INTO SOMETHING NEITHER EXPECTED BUT WELCOMED. THEN GRIFF RECEIVES A CALL THAT HAS HIM LEAVING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. I WAS HAPPY HE DECIDED TO CALL AND LEAVE A MESSAGE SO THAT SHE’D KNOW HE HAD A FAMILY EMERGENCY.
LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING WHAT’S NEXT FOR THESE TWO.
This was a fun cute holiday novella. It does end on a bit of a cliffhanger though. Delilah has finally moved away from the stress of the corporate world, but when two days before Christmas she gets a call from her ex boss offering her a job, the people pleaser in her refuses to go away. Delilah accepts his offer to at least meet and discuss the job he’s offering. That meeting somehow turns into her inviting her ex boss over for Christmas dinner so that neither will be alone. It may have been the wine, or the shots, but somehow having cake…turns into…having caaaake…. What happens next? Guess you’ll just have to read to find out. 😏
This was a solid read from a new to me author. A quick and easy novella length story l, featuring an older, African-American heroine (divorced with a college age daughter) and a younger white hero who used to be her boss. I liked the fact that both characters had difficult backstories and while they didn’t share all the details with each other, they allowed those commonalities to pave the way for a hot holiday hookup! This ended in more of a HFN than HEA, but there was a promise of more to the story in 2020 via the author’s newsletter.
Both Delilah and Griffin were lonely at Christmas for two different reasons. Griffin had father issues and Delilah had mother issues. They finally allowed themselves to let go into each other.
I wish this story was a little longer. It ends abruptly. I would have lived to find out what happened at the hospital when Hriffin sees Marisa again. How does he react to seeing his much younger siblings? Does he and his father bury the ax? We already know that he has to right with Delilah. She knows all of his tricks I already.
CLIFF HANGER!!! I know I read somewhere that this was a stand-alone novella, but that isn't the case. It's well written, has some really good chemistry going on, and then it just stops. I was able to piece together enough to answer a few questions thanks to an excerpt from the next in the series, but please, don't drag readers into a story that doesn't finish. I absolutely hate cliff hangers, even when I have the next episode in the series. It's a lousy marketing attempt.
Read this after Christmas but the description of the food and decor in Delilah's home made me feel like it was Christmas again. I liked how introspective both characters were about their respective pasts and them learning from it. Being a novella, it was short and sweet but looks like I'm going to have to read the rest of it. It ends in a cliffhanger and I'm not a fan of those.
This was a great story and was very entertaining. Once I started I could not put it down. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is sizzling hot. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a great love story.

This story really deserved 5 stars, but there were too many grammatical errors. Delilah and Griffin’s chemistry sizzled under the surface until he made a bold move. Looks like Stella got her groove back after all. Can’t wait to see how their story ends... I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A interesting sweet well written unexpected Christmas romance. This quick story was engaging and has great potential for drama, love and romance. The characters are interesting and have undeniable attraction. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC and cant wait for a conclusion to this budding romance.
Delilah is finally going to be free of her husband as her divorce is finalized. Griffin wants to get out from under his father and make his own business plans. He needs the smart, organized, and ex-assistant to help him with his plan. Can they keep it professional or will the attraction be too much? Great love story with a little drama.
This a short story and is part of series. All of the stories could probably fit into one book. It is also written from the perspective of the characters. Which is an okay style of writing. This story leaves you wondering what will happen next. I am not sure I want to know.
I did enjoy the story but I would not have read it if I known it was'nt a complete story. I hope the H/h get their HEA. Also, was she older than him or what? If you don't mind reading multiple book to get the whole story you will love this because it is pretty good.
A good read for people who are in to the series recommend highly can't wait for the next one of the series a really enjoyable read but quick shaping up to be a enjoyable series must read the next one of the series
She asked him to come and spend Christmas with her to help her celebrate it and have him be reintroduced with the Christmas spirit it was a great book I loved it. They are a perfect match. I loved this book.
This cute book was a bite sized portion of goodness. I really liked that Deliah and Griffin already had an established relationship. Christmas dinner at her house paved the way for a love connection. I can't wait to see the complications in part 2.
I needed a breather from more serious fare and wanted a quick read that was just formulaic, light, lusty, pulpy fun with believable dialogue. This was perfect.
I am not a fan of cliff hangers but this book was good enough that I can't wait to find out what happens next. I would recommend this book to my fellow romance readers.
