A trek through the Australian desert doesn’t usually get you shot

But not everyone is Wade Ross, Special Forces soldier. He was on a journey of spiritual enlightenment, that is, until he is shot by a 7.62mm SLR. Now it’s time to return to civilisation and find out who these men work for, why they want to kill him and how he can find and destroy them first.

Investigations lead to a possible Samantha Cooper, the sister of ex-Vice President Daniel Cooper. Can Ross track down his assassins before they find him? When those close to him begin to get hurt, Ross’ mission changes. It is no longer about survival, but revenge…

A very intricate story extremely well told.

The story was well told, had good interesting characters with a leader (Wade Ross) who knew what he was doing and to lead others extremely well.

This book totally captured me, I couldn't put it down. It was well researched taking me to places I'd never heard of, the action was gripping and I like the central character Wade Ross. It's nice to see a little bit of Australia in the book, giving me a broader understanding of the indigenous people there. I hope that the love affair between Wade and Crystal continues, but I guess I'm going to have to wait until the third book for that. Highly recommend this book, with it's action, well written and graphic details of the Secret Service and beyond.
