I have been writing since high school, but truthfully never thought it would go any further than a few short stories hidden deep within my laptop. It wasn't until my family moved away from everything we knew that I started writing stuff worth sharing. Now, my husband, three kids, our plethora of animals, and I live in the Midwest. When I'm not running around like your stereotypical soccer mom (sans the minivan) I am writing the type of stories I have always secretly treasured. Love stories with a sexy alpha male and a strong submissive female.

Holy smokes!! This book just blew me away. The story telling was some of the best I've seen by a new author. This is the third book in this series and as of now, my favorite! I really hope there will be more because while it wasn't a cliffhanger in my opinion, it did leave me with HUGE questions!!!! Pick this book up, I promise it's worth it. Just make sure you have a fan close by because the scenes are smoking hot!!!!

NOT EVERYONE IS WHO THE PRETEND TO BE

From the first page to the last, I was engrossed in the story and fell in love with the characters and their interaction. I will even admit that I felt like I was on an emotional roller-coaster ride. As a series junkie, I am thrilled to know there will be more stories to come. While this did not end in a cliffhanger, it does leave the reader craving more, and yes, there is still an unsolved issue—in fact, the ending had my mouth hanging open in shock.

Each book in this series would be best read in written order because this is an ongoing saga and involves a tight-knit group of people that are bound together in work and play. It is full of angst, anger, fear, and desire to solve a crime, one that leads to a loss in their group. It has not only a sadistic arsonist but issues with copycats that add to the mix. The story is a page-turner, with a large cast of characters, plenty of drama, interaction, and yes, sexual play and spankings.

The latest tale involves the relationship between Zander Doyle and Baylor Bass. It will bring out personal trials that cause self-conscious issues for Baylor from the kidnapping (book 2 Beautiful Burn) and how Zander is helping her face her demons. How these two handle working together, plus their private time, that sometimes includes public play. Zander is strict for her own good, but he is very attentive and loving too.

“I love you, Daddy. How you take care of me, listen to me, love me, even correct me. I love the person I am when I’m with you. I love you, Daddy. My Daddy. I’m not a very good little, in fact, I’m not sure I am a little, but I love how you make me feel—protected, cherished. How you’re always in my corner.”

The story has the good, the bad, and evil. It will still have those in Hill City on their toes, knowing that danger is still around, and they must be vigilant at all times. Have they found their arsonist, or is he just another dead end lead?

The story has several fires, threats brought by the arsonist, and even notes delivered to Baylor at the scene of fires. It will have life and death situations and shocking discoveries. It will also have some exhibition, voyeurism, discipline, and explicit sex scenes. It is a mystery, suspense tale that has more stories to come. While it does not actually leave you on a cliffhanger, the ending was a shocker, and it leaves you craving the next book in this series.

She needs a Daddy and he is the Dom for the job

Singed Wings is the continuation from the Beautiful Burn book in the Hill City Heroes series. In order to pick up where this one starts and to understand the story-line you really do need to read the previous two books in the series so you have been warned. Each book builds on the overall story that weaves through the books and also the characters with each book taking you deeper and deeper and exposing more with each twist and turn.
Singed Wings is the story of Baylor and Zander. Baylor has now left the police department and is working for the fire department. Zander also works for the fire department and is her Daddy Dom. So they work and play together in all facets of their life together. However, the Hill City arsonist is still on the loose so the danger to the community, the fire department and the female firefighters is still there. Along the way to finding out who the arsonist is there is mystery, suspense, danger, and more than a few shocking discoveries. But this book also contains the elements of the relationship between Baylor and Zander and all that this entails. He is very good to her even when he is being strict. She is still trying to deal with and move past the kidnapping from the previous book. It is an interesting Daddy Dom dynamic and the author does write a number of interesting scenes about this.
Overall I found this book to be very interesting and was a bit of a roller-coaster. There are some things revealed along the way while more questions are also brought up. There are questions left by the end so there will definitely be another book in this series.

I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Singed Wings is Hill Street Heroes book 3. I recommend reading the series in order but each book is well worth the read. As the hunt for the arsonist continues, the author keeps the readers on the edge of their seats as the suspense continues to grow. Between the danger from the arsonist and the heat from the fire fighters this book sizzles. These dominant men will protect their independent and feisty women at all costs. However. They will not protect them from a well deserved spanking if they break the rules. This book's romance focuses on Zander and Baylor's romance but continues with the other couples in the book as well. There is danger and surprises around every corner never knowing where evil hides, sizzling sex everywhere, deep friendships that can't be broken, and many fun moments intertwined within the story. I highly recommend this book and the entire series. I give the author and this series a big five stars! I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book.

First I will tell you that you need to read this series in order to get the full story line yes each book is a separate couple but there is an underlying story throughout the series and it looks like there is more to copse The series follows a group of men and women that all work or are connected in some way to the Hill City Fire Station

We met Baylor Bass in the last story where she was kidnapped and tortured by a copycat arsonist meanwhile the men and woman are still hunting the real arsonist and that is a cause of much suspense throughout the series The relationship between Baylor and Zander Doyle is the main focus of this latest offering Like the rest of the doms in this series they will do anything to keep their women safe even if that means disciplining them. Once again we get to reconnect with previous couples from this series. This is a page turner that will keep you engaged until you turn that last page

A word of warning before reading this book, you really should read books 1 and 2 first as there is a huge cast of characters and an ongoing base plot line. That plot is a little like on onion, with layers upon layers. You peel back (solve) one and lo and behold there is another one hidden beneath. This time Baylor and Zander are the featured relationship but all the other characters continue to contribute to the overall story line. One thing I can say for all of these books is that it almost seems that there is more discipline and graphic sex than there is plot action. However, that does make for a very sexciting read. As mentioned, this is book 3 in the series and some of the mysteries are solved but the Epilogue virtually assures there will be a Book 4 (and hopefully soon). 4 Stars.

This is about case of an arsonist who hurt these women who worked for this fire department unit. The thing is Baylor was undercover pretending to be firefighter so she could catch this arsonist. Evidently someone kidnapped the women and hurt Baylor more than any of the others because I really don't know other than the fact that she was a undercover cop. Anyways when it opens up the group of firefighters and medics and cops all practice BDSM and they all hang together. Some them are considered Doms and subs and other are considered Daddies and littles. It really didn't sort of take off until toward the end of the story. So I am assuming that their is going to be at least a part two because of the twist of events, if it is not their should be.

Baylor is barely coping with the scars from her attacker. Zander's doing his best with her, but she doesn't follow directions very well, frustrating to his hand and her bottom. The arsonist is still very busy, and sends a video, so there are hopes of finding out who he is. Part of the mystery is solved (no spoiler), but there are indications that the issue is bigger than anyone imagined. I think it's helpful to read the prior books in the series - that will enable the reader to understand some of the events and conversations more clearly. While Baylor and Zander are not my favorite couple in this group, the book was still incredible. I was stunned at the revelation near the end, and hope to find out more answers in the next book.

This is the first book in this series that I have read and there is background history that plays into this book that I am not aware of. This is a romance and a mystery wrapped up in one story. Baylor left the police department, after being kidnapped and tortured, and went to work with the fire department. Zander, also working at the fire department, is also her lover and daddy dom. The dom interaction between the two of them is well written and entertaining. Part of the arsonist mystery is solved but the man pulling all the strings is still to be found. This is a good read, even if it does have a cliff hanger and it helps if you have read the first two books, I would still recommend this book.

If you’re considering reading this book and you haven’t read the ones that come before it, stop! Go back and read those first. I didn’t and it’s a mistake I regret. This really isn’t a standalone story. It’s very definitely part of a series. The way it starts, and ends makes that very clear. But, holy cow, what a story! I know I’m missing most of the backstory that got us to this point, but that didn’t matter. I was hooked. I was immediately captivated by the mysteries surrounding this Hill City firehouse. As well as being in awe of the strength and bravery of the men and women caught in the middle. That ending left me both speechless and howling over the injustice of being left hanging there. I need to know more. NOW!

This is book three in the Hill City Heros series. Baylor is just trying to move forward after being kidnapped and tortured. Part of that was quitting her job as a police officer and going to work at the fire department. Zander and Baylor explore a relationship where he takes on the daddy role. Will this help Baylor overcome everything once and for all? Will the team figure out who the arsonist is and finally capture them? Another great story in the series, full of twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages until the end. The ending in this book left me wondering what can possibly happen next. Anxiously waiting for book four. Enjoy!

This third book in the Hill Street Heroes series by Rachel Blake was smoking hot in both BDSM action as well as a murder and arson investigation, along with one hell of a twist ending. While the elements of a BDSM lifestyle were clearly, vividly and accurately described, along with the accompanying punishment and sex scenes that resulted, the story never lost sight of the murder arson mystery as the driving aspect. The story definitely took the characters on a wild ride on the emotional roller coaster as they struggled to come to grips with the personal loss as they attempt to move on with their lives. I eagerly await the next book in this series to add to my TBR. This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Booksprout for Blushing Books.

Book 3 in the series, this is Baylor and Zander's story. After facing a traumatic crime, Baylor has switched from the police department to the fire department. There she and her daddy work together. Shadowing their new love, is the arsonist and the mystery psychopath who make their job that much harder. Who makes it hard for any of them to move forward. The only good part is they all exist in the firehouse overrun with BDSM couples. Spanking and plug fun amidst danger and mystery in the firehouse. Hand, belt, paddle.

With her external scars largely healed, Baylor and Zander keep exploring their relationship and discipline dynamic, with the arsonist still at large and contacting them, and with Davis continuing to be an ass. The arsonist story really picks up the pace in this book (yes, from fast to wowza fast), and the heartstopping moments are plentiful, as are the very hot scenes with Zander and Baylor. There is betrayal at a truly deep level, there is abject terror, and there is ultimately a totally unexpected ray of hope – when is the next book? Please?

I was lucky enough to receive an arc copy of this book and is the first book by this author that I have read. The book can be read as a standalone but it is obvious that it is part of a series so I am definitely going to look for the earlier books in the series.

The book has a really good storyline with twists that I never saw coming. It has elements of age play and domestic discipline as Baylor settles into her role as a Little and a submissive.

I really liked this book and would definitely recommend it although I would start from book 1.

I really enjoyed the book. I love the characters interaction with each other. I love the ending. Wow few page of the was very surprising. The secret revealed at the end of the book was very sneaky. You must read to the end of the book because you will be missing a very good surprise. This is bdsm and power exchange. If you dont like that kind of book, you will not like this book. I recommend you read the other books in this series first because you will not get the story. Even though it is about other couple will still not get it.

This is book three in the Hill Street Heroes series. You will probably get a better reading experience if you read them in order. This book deals with the relationship between Zander Doyle and Baylor Bass. The characters flow really well together. Each book is different and deals with personal trials. Baylor switches jobs from being a police officer to the fire department. She and Zander are dealing with a psychopath/arsonist who is not done setting fires. The story flows with plenty of drama, suspense, danger and love. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Baylor and Zander are still trying to get over Baylor's kidnapping and scars.
She was a police offer but now is a firefighter probie. She uses all of her 6th senses
to try and unravel the arsonists next location. Baylor is still battling anxiety and
panic attacks. Zander is worried about her safety so he asks the captain to keep
her glued to his hip. The story has many twists and turns with a dramatic ending.

This is the 3rd book in the series and for best enjoyment, I do recommend reading them in order. Baylor is trying to move forward after having been kidnapped. Zander is her daddy and he is doing his best to help her. There is still an arsonist in Hill City, will they be able to track the person responsible? Great characters, lots of emotion and plenty of drama. I loved it!

A wonderful book in the Hill City Heroes series

This was the story of Cancer and Baylor. The copycat has been identified but the arsonist is still out there. Great characters, suspense, action and kink as with the other books. I'll even forgive her for the bomb she drops at the end. Please don't keep us waiting for the next book.
