I live in sunny Florida where I spend my days taxiing the family to various places while jotting down the many crazy thoughts inside my head. I enjoy a freelance career writing for several magazines sharing some of my interesting viewpoints on life and those around me. I can usually be found on my back porch watching the squirrels chittering at the birds while enjoying a cigar, a scotch, and the many characters that talk to me inside my head.

This story was such a great read.. With each book I feel more and more addicted to Black Hollow.. Jackson's story was so original and creative.. It is definitely a must read funny, sexy and even a bit of suspense/mystery..

Three strikes and you’re out
I always love the tales of Black Hollow. The characters are interesting and the interaction between them all keeps the book moving. This story is engaging and the author did a fantastic job of keeping us guessing. Some of the characters seem to be more out for themselves than others, but when you are trying to trick the devil what do you expect. I love that these two souls found their perfect HEA and I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next.

I’ve read several books written by Robbie Cox; he has done a great job at writing a good book. He is becoming one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait to read more of his books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

To Trick the Devil is a wonderfully different tale of love and redemption. I really liked that these characters were atypical romance hero/heroine. The author did a terrific job of bringing these two together and I really enjoyed reading their story.

TO TRICK THE DEVIL is the tenth book in the Black Hollow series and the second one that Robbie Cox has written. Though each is supposed to stand on its own, there is a lot of reference to other’s stories that makes me wish I had them all in my greedy little hands.

I loved this story of finding the other half that fits your unique soul. Meredith and Jackson are perfect together and perfect for each other. They are not typical people in any way and they don’t have to lose themselves to add to their coupleness.

I love that idea of conning the devil at his own games – not once, not twice, but a third time!

I would gladly return to Black Hollow on Halloween or any day, especially if Robbie Cox were guiding our tour.

The author, Robbie Cox always seems to write about such interesting characters. This story is fast paced and gets you right in the middle of things quickly.

Ever wonder what it would be like to live forever?  Well, Jackson Lantern knows what it's like. The longer you live the more people you care about die and leave you alone

How about a demon, born and raised to be the Devil's punisher and torturerer of souls, getting burned out and fleeing Hell?  Meredith Vanth just wants a quiet life, that is until Lucifer finds her.

Jackson conned Lucifer, not once but twice.  Can he or will he try a third time to save Meredith?

This has been my first visit to Black Hollow and hopefully not my last visit.  I really enjoyed this five star Halloween revenge and romance story.

Black Hollow: To Trick the Devil by Robbie Cox is a deliciously sinful story of Jackson and Meredith. Jackson is doomed to live forever between worlds….the result of a couple of run-ins with the devil. Meredith was the devil’s harbinger of death…a demon….who escaped. Now, he wants her back.

What a decadent story!!!! This story was an inventive, delightful tale wrought with curses, tricks, and revenge. Each word had me grinning from ear to ear!!!! The ending, while a bit anticipated, was deeply satisfying!!!! Great read!!!!!

I loved this story of love and redemption. After years of being alone, pushing everyone away so he doesn't get hurt, and wanting to die, Jackson has a chance at a life of love with a woman who is immortal like him. Only he doesn't know she is. He doesn't know who she is. Meredith finally has her freedom from Lucifer... but for how long? The one man she has wanted to meet for so long is finally in her life, if only as a sort of acquaintance, for now. Things are more than they appear to be and sometimes you need a friend to help open your eyes.
This book was a page turner. I could not put it down.

Black Hollow is such a fun place to visit! Each book I read I love it even more. Jackson and Meredith both being immortal seem like the perfect match. Lucifer wants Meredith back and it broke my heart when Jackson refused to help her. She has had her eye on him for centuries, but he didn't even remember her. Of course, since Jackson is the only one that has ever tricked the devil, he stirs up trouble between the two. I love how it ended up and now there's another happy ending in Black Hollow. “To Trick the Devil” brings us back to Black Hollow for Jackson and Meredith’s story. This tale is well-written and brings us back among friends. The storyline is a bit suspenseful and exciting as they take on another threat, this time it’s the Devil. Can they win? Will the town be there for them? Can their love withstand this threat? The book is a must-read for the series. I highly recommend it.

Another great book to the Black Hollow series. The author once again brings strong characters with a hot chemistry and weaves an entertaining story filled with mystery and suspense,a bit of humor and a lot of love. The story moves quickly and smoothly and is a unique and fun story. I would recommend this book.

Jackson had tricked his way through his earlier life, but now only wants to live quietly. Meredith escapes her old life, but now must either make a deal that endangers Seraphine or leave Black Hollow. As Jackson and Meredith grow closer, the danger threatens all the citizens of Black Hollow. I enjoyed the twists and tricks in this novel. Reading a book from this series is like a visit to old friends.

Love it

I can't help but still laugh at the tricks that were made on the devil. Such a smart man to be so dumb to fall over and over. This book was very exciting and will keep you entertained from the first page until the last.

There were a few times I found the need for some tissues, because there were a few heart felt moments. I have learned this about this author. He brings in all emotions so you better be ready.

The chemistry between the main characters is out of this freaking world!

I felt that the author had the ability to convey true depth to the personalities of the characters bringing life and likability to every person.

Brilliant, enticing story.

I loved this storyline so much, especially the way that Lucifer was tricked doe the third time. I am so glad that Jack and Meredith were finally able to recognize that they were deserving and could balance each other out. I've very much enjoyed this series and look forward to more books .
