I do okay?

I'm back on the Dark Horse-bandwagon! The only Dark Horse property I own is Robocop Vs. Terminator, which I bought while I was in college, thinking it would make a good movie. I also read The Mask: Make America Green Again, 1 & 2. This is my third comic by Dark Horse I've read. Dark Horse Comics are comedic, though they used to be dark once.

So this is a story about what an alcoholic reporter does after losing her job. The setting is September, 1983. One door opens, while the other closes.

I was pleasantly surprised by this comic. I’m a Wednesday warrior and I passed on this on its release day. A couple of days later, I decided to give it a try. I was glad I did.

Really enjoyed this. Manages to capture the feel of the 80s in a non-glamorized way. Love the campy B-movie vibe. And in all that tackles some heavy subjects. Looking forward to reading the monthly issues that are stacked up in my comics pile.

Lots of fun

This comic was a blast to read, a strong story and if you’re a fan of horror in general but especially late night B movies this is for you.

Very cool. Not my time period. I love getting recs from very knowledgeable people, thank you Professor Amy!!

I've come to the conclusion that older millennials do not think I am funny and my current working theory is that it's because we have different cultural references, and their humor relies strongly on cultural references I do not have and also the fact that I deliver lines with a very deadpan tone of voice and don't talk that much so people never think I am joking.

Anyway, cultural knowledge I have:
1970s - TV sitcoms, music.
1980s - Music, a little bit. (Gen X to Older millennials are born at the beginning of the 80s)
1990s - Almost nothing. (Younger millennials are born at the end of the 90s)
2000s - Kids media
2010s - Kids media
2020s - Kids media, YA media

This cover looks way too strange to pass up finding out what it's story is all about, and man what a ride! First off, we start out with some missing pieces and a great many mystery's, right up my alley. Jerri is one tough main character to like or even root for, but I do like her investigating skills and not giving any shits. But really, what is the deal with the tv show on her parents tv station called Count Crowley?!!! Following along with this comic just lead me off a cliff and all I want is to be back on that cliff to find out more.
