Blake Sullivan’s perfect life is imploding. His father threw his mother out of the house, and now they’re going through a nasty divorce while the whole town watches.

Since I’ve been away at college, I had no idea that my brother Aric was the one responsible for destroying Blake’s family.

Or that Blake would stop at nothing to get back at Aric.

And I never thought that I would be used as a pawn in Blake’s revenge, not until it’s too late.

Now I have to make an impossible decision, one that will change everything.

I’ll never forget what Blake did to me; and no matter how much he begs, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to forgive him.

I am sorry to say but o had DNF this book. I just found Blake too childish and I know I’m an older reader but it felt wrong to even imagine Blake as a romantic lead because his way of thinking was too teenage like and it’s wrong for me when a male character arouses sympathy in me but no other emotion. I just couldn’t take him seriously as the MMC and I definitely couldn’t even picture him as a book boyfriend. As for Caroline I just disliked her and felt no feelings whatsoever for her apart from that. This is obviously just my feelings on this book, I’m sure others will like it.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Noooo

I’m more disappointed by this book than I have been about any in a long time. I loved the first book and have read it 3 times. I thought I knew what this one was about. I’m not a prude at all, I read all over the place, but I have to have something interesting about the book than just sex. It’s like the author threw the plot out the window. Gone is the sweet sister Arik described in the previous book, instead you are left with a basic girl who doesn’t show a personality aside from being obsessed with sleeping with as many guys as she can until she has a perfect sexual experience. Goodbye interesting plot. I tried to get into it after that, but I just couldn’t. On top of that, Caroline was rude, petty and spoiled. She treated Maddie and her siblings like crap when she found out they were staying with her family. There is just nothing to like about her. Not even wanting to see what happens with Blake can save this book. Most authors would at least give you a chance to meet a character before throwing all of this in your face. But no, page two of meeting character and we know everything about her sex life and nothing about her, just a lecture about why it’s ok for her to be a slut because of equality and more details of the two guys she has most recently screwed. As soon as she meets Maddie, she is an evil witch to her. Beyond let down. This almost ruined my day, I feel like I’ve been waiting for this book forever. Hopefully the next one is better, or at least has more of a plot than the main character being an ass just obsessed with screwing as many people as possible. I really wish this author had written an actual story, and not just a lecture. Her point is completely lost, because her character is awful. Hero is a virgin, at last count I think she was 15?

Blake and Caroline have known each other for years. Carolines brother Aric has known Blake since grade school. Blake's birthday comes along. Between all the mess of his life he's depressed. Caroline has come home from college. She's flunking school. And she has to tell her parents. She's depressed as well. So one thing leads to another. This is a great series. I love each and everything about this book.

Such a HUGE disappointment! After reading Beg For Mercy I was really looking forward to this book! Aric described his sister (this heroine) as "....shes sort of shy and doesn't sleep around....Caroline's sort of like Maddie....they would probably be good friends." Well color me surprised when we meet Caroline and shes a huge bitch...and NOTHING like Maddie! There's nothing likeable about her at all! She's a spoiled brat who pouts about how hard things are for her throughout most of the book!
She immediately judges Maddie and her situation, she calls her a gold digger, refuses to learn anything about her or her brother and sister. She horny all the time, has no qualms about ONS but hates when people call her a slut? No, I'm not slut shaming or saying that women shouldn't be as sexually liberated as men BUT when you act like a slut, walk like a slut, talk like a slut YOUR GOING TO GAIN THAT TYPE OF REPUTATION! Own your sexuality woman! Don't cower! She felt like she was allowed to judge others but got all pissy when she was judged. Hero or heroine that is not the type of behavior I like. I couldn't find one redemptive thing about her at all!

The hero - while he acted immaturely - was actually a decent guy! He recognized his mistake, made and effort to mend things with Aric, and allowed himself to be used (and abused) by the heroine. I actually felt bad for the guy being stuck with the heroine! He deserved sooo much better.

I could have easily loved this book but Caroline ruined it all for me....

After reading Beg for Mercy I couldn't wait to get my hands on Blake's story and what a story..... filled with anger, secrets, angst and growth. If you thought you knew what to expect in this story, think again because it definitely had some jaw-dropping moments. Blake it's still reeling from Aric and his mother's betrayal and vows for revenge. Caroline is having a difficult time in college and comes home to inform her parents; however, instead she ends up at a party cheering up Blake. Blake and Caroline are two very different people stuck in very difficult situations but can good come from it all?? I guess you'll need to read this story to find out how it all plays out!

As much as I LOVED Beg For Mercy (Aric & Maddie’s story), this one didn’t even feel like the same author.....DNF at 35% because it got to the point I hadn’t found a single good thing about it...

But the bad? Let’s lay it out there:
1. I hated Caroline from the start. All she did was talk about her awful (yet VERY active) sex life and complain about how she isn’t smart and can’t pass her classes. She has zero personality traits that made her likeable (much less tolerable). She is an awful human being. She is judgmental, bitchy, rude, doesn’t have an ounce of compassion, and the typical cliche rich snob. She is horrible to Maddie especially and I wanted nothing more than for Maddie to revert back to her old self and beat her up. A few examples of how awful she is:
“Trailer? Are you serious? Where did you find this girl?”

“Well, if you need someone to talk to, I’m here. I have some experience with doing things I regret.” “Yeah, I don’t doubt it,” I tell her before I slam the door in her face.

“Why do you need a degree, Maddie, if you’re just going to marry my brother and let him support you for the rest of your life?”

2. This was an obvious attempt at female sexual empowerment but it felt cheap to me. Caroline lost her virginity as a freshman in HS, and since has slept with 14 other guys in search of “good sex”. So that’s 15 guys in a 4 year period of time which is pointed out at least 3-4 times in the first 25%. It was overboard and just unnecessary.

3. Blake & Caroline have sex for the first time in a matter of minutes after seeing each other again. There is no build up, no sexual tension or chemistry....it was the most blah sex scene with no actual writing effort put into getting us there. Not to mention, the entire thing starts off contradicting earlier statements. She had slept with 15 guys until it didn’t fit in with Blake’s jersey number (he was wearing) being 15....so it changed to 14 guys bc he would be “lucky 15” and be the one to finally deliver on the good sex. And guess what? The virgin who had ZERO experience and didn’t really do anything remarkable is the very one to deliver the big O for her with minimal effort. I just can’t.

4. The freaking contradictions and editing issues.....
👉🏻the 15 guys turn to 14 above.
👉🏻his huge dick that is hyped up a lot and described as so big it would hang to his knees if it hadn’t been sticking straight out yet then described as big but not too big (correct me if I’m wrong here, but a dick that hangs to a grown man’s knees would be like 12+ inches easy).
👉🏻 In Blake’s POV, it suddenly switches from first person POV to 3rd person as Blake says that “Blake observes” instead of Royal as it was supposed to be.
👉🏻 Caroline shocks her family by shoving a piece of ham in her mouth during Thanksgiving dinner and is shocked bc she’s been a vegetarian since 10 years old, never slipping once until then.....yet in Chapter 10 she ate a burger when she was high on cannabis gummies.
👉🏻 Caroline has all the stereotypical telltale signs of being pregnant (breaking out, swollen/puffy, moody, eating all the time, eating things she normally doesn’t, sleeping a lot)....but the one that kinda made me roll my eyes is the fact that she obviously got pregnant close to Halloween (at Blake’s Halloween/Bday party) and yet less than a month later she has gained so much pregnancy weight she can’t even button her jeans anymore (having to use a rubber band to keep them together). Is it impossible? No, but logical? Not likely. It was just overkill for me.
Imagine it would continue to go like this if I didn’t give up at 35%.

5. One of the biggest plot drivers in this story is between Blake & Aric....but somehow it is all but wrapped up (well a truce is called after some laughter and jokes) basically like it was just a little disagreement.

I have way too many books on my TBR shelf to continue to waste time on anything that has me this annoyed this early on. It’s sad though, bc I desperately wanted Blake’s story bc he was my favorite. But with a heroine with ZERO redeemable qualities and the writing feeling nothing like it did in the first installment, I couldn’t spend another minute reading it.

Crave Your Mercy by L.A. Hart a five-star read that will leave you craving more. This is number two in the Mercy Academy series and they flow from one to the next and number three can’t come soon enough as they just get better and better. I read this in one sitting, I was still reading at 3am and knew I could drop off until I knew how it ended. This story had me smiling, it had me crying (not the cute crying, but the ugly sobbing) and it warmed my cold dark heart in ways I couldn’t imagine. This is a great story and I came around with Caroline at times I didn’t like her, but when you understand where she is coming from you know why she is like she is and you start to adore her and not only because of the description of her hotness in the cheerleading uniform.

No !! Just NO!!!!!!!!

The first book was good, this one definitely not. This read more like middle schoolers than anything else. While she nothing but an immature slut, Blake comes off as a really good guy that's way too forgiving. He definitely deserved someone way better than her. The first book was so much better, so was a real let. It's almost like a different person wrote this one.

An inspiring romance and the first MUST READ recommendation of 2020!
CRAVE YOUR MERCY, the newest high school bully romance from author Lane Hart is an exceptional read. It is absolutely inspirational because it is more about the ability of one Mercy Prep. student’s ability to rise above and hold on when he is bullied by life. The people around him walk away and life as he’s known it changes forever. For all of his life, Blake Sullivan has been the center. An only child of wealthy parents and one part of the three amigos who rule the school, Blake is looking forward to his senior year. With all of the angst, confusion, and choices that are normal for any high school senior, the complexities of Blake’s story also add a whole host of decisions that Blake must face, alone. In September, Blake finds out that his best friend is no friend at all. His father sends his mother packing and begins a very public divorce. Then to top that off, the woman, who was his very memorable first, calls to say she’s pregnant. And the cherry on top of that explosion is his father’s absence, except for the rare occasions when he comes home too drunk to make it past the front room couch! It is easy to understand why Blake is dreading whatever might come next. However, the reader should not because what comes next is more of this wonderful story! Trust me when I say romance readers will not want to miss a minute of the details leading up to that phone call, nor skip a moment of what comes after it. Suffice it to say that although Blake and Caroline have a road with more than the usual decisions, speedbumps, and detours, for most of their peers, it is a road full of romance, a building friendship, and circumstances which mature them more quickly than most. I absolutely loved this story by author Lane Hart. It is well written with the author revealing angst, events, and actions similar to what one might expect to see when reading a suspense-filled mystery. As a result, the characters evolve yet stay true to their characterizations. In addition, the plotline twists, though often complex and emotional, are frequently unexpected/without foreshadowing yet are totally believable! I volunteered to read a copy of CRAVE YOUR MERCY, and I am so very glad I did! This is my voluntary and HONEST 5+STAR review! While CRAVE YOUR MERCY is only the second in a series of at least three standalone bully romance novels about Mercy Preparatory High School, it is my favorite and most definitely for mature audiences, only (those 18 years or older). CRAVE YOUR MERCY is going in the FAVORITES collection on my Kindle! I STRONGLY suggest that you purchase your copy of CRAVE YOUR MERCY today! Happy pages! 😉

The h is a turd. Just about the most selfish main character I've Read about who lashes out at everybody just because she sucks at adulting. Towards the end she is somewhat bearable. The H's mother is sort of a child molester and it is heavily implied that his father just might be getting it on with the High school girl next door. That's downright disgusting. I get the storyline about the H's mother and she is portrayed as the disgusting child molester that she is... yet at the end of the next book the author hinted at maybe writing a book in the future about the said high school girl next door and her older lover. So I guess that relationship will most likely be romanticized.

Also whatever happened to Caroline's best friend who at some point just disappeared. It's like the author forgot she wrote that character halfway through writing the book. Not even a "they went their separate ways cause life happened".

••••••••••••

REVIEW: CRAVE YOUR MERCY is the second instalment in L.A. Hart’s contemporary young adult to new adult Mercy Academy erotic, romance series. This is high school senior Blake Sullivan, and first year college student Caroline Prince’s story line. CRAVE YOUR MERCY
can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalment is revealed where necessary. The events of CRAVE YOUR MERCY cross over with, and run parallel to the events of book one BEG FOR MERCY.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Blake and Caroline) CRAVE YOUR MERCY focuses in the aftermath of a scandal wherein two families are destroyed by the affair of a woman and her son's best friend. Struggling in the first few weeks of college Caroline Prince returns home, embarking on a weekend affair with her brother’s best friend, only to discover weeks later that her life is about to change forever. The Christmas holidays prove a complicated time for both the Prince and Sullivan families but none more so than Caroline Prince when she announces she is failing school, and is taking time off to deal with other matters. While no one is happy, Blake is determined to stay in touch with the girl he has loved from afar, the girl who is about to break his heart. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship and friendship between Blake and Caroline, and the fall-out as Caroline must consider her plans for the future.

Caroline Prince is an immature young woman; a privileged girl whose life is about to implode not only on a personal level but with the revelation of her brother’s illicit affair. Blake Sullivan’s family has been destroyed leaving Blake to survive, mostly on his own while his father drinks himself into a stupor, landing in any available bed.

From the absentee and judgemental parents, to the immature attitudes and troubling behaviour, CRAVE YOUR MERCY has all the familiar characteristics of a young adult story line with a new adult to adult story line premise. Caroline Prince’s initial behavior and attitude is questionable; her treatment of others is rude, as is the behavior of most of the story line parents and adults. The premise is captivating but I struggled to like or forgive a number of the story line characters.

all of these characters suck ass except for maybe maddie. caroline was a spoiled, jealous little girl whose privilege, just like her brother's in book 1, stinks up every room she walks into. she only has two problems in life: 1) she's flunking out of the school her parents pay thousands of dollars in tuition for, and 2) no matter how hard she tries, she can't find "good" sex, to the point that she keeps track of every bad lay she's had since she started being active. she's also an absolute bitch to maddie, and while i understand the annoyance at finding new additions in your family home, the zero attempt at mustering any empathy for maddie's circumstances was appalling.

and then to top off the trashy pie, she gets pregnant by sleeping with her brother's best friend.

i truly couldn't find any incentive to feel sympathy for her when it was as much her fault for not using protection as it was his. it takes two to tango and yet everyone was acting like it was his fault, even though i'd argue that it was just as fucked up for her to give drugs (yes, weed gummies are still drugs) to an already intoxicated high school boy who literally just turned legal and then sleep with him. the role-reversal card is such a tired argument—but i'm sorry, i just gotta say that if he were the older one in this scenario then it would be him getting all the flack for this exact reason, and yet all the characters were acting like he's the one who took advantage of her because of some petty revenge fantasy that isn't even true.

again, don't get me wrong, blake was just as dumb for not packing his junk up, and just as dumb in general, but i have slightly more room in my heart to feel pity for him knowing the shit that went down in the last book. he was definitely not in a state to be making good decisions and his "friends" and family were the worst.

that being said, even though blake's dad was an asshole, i honestly don't blame him for wanting better for his son than this brat. i, too, was wondering why the hell he was contemplating giving up a spot at duke, no matter the fact that it's practically handed over to him on a silver platter as a legacy, for some shitty b-rated uni to follow this relationship that was borne out of teenaged drunken idiocy? the way he went about it was classic rich dad villain, but i think any parent would aspire for more than that bleak prospect of a future for their children.

Oh mercy mercy me

Ohmygawd how does she do it?! Seriously? My mind was blown by how great this story is and how much my heartstrings were tugged. I loved Aric and Maddie’s story so much!!! Couldn’t get enough. I didn’t want to oversell myself on this one just in case I didn’t love Blake and Caroline as much or at all. Buuuuut I was so wrong to doubt Ms. Lane for even an iota. She’s rocking the hell out of this series and honestly it’s just getting better. I fell hard and fast for Blake. He’s an absolute sweetheart with the biggest heart ❤️. His story made me ugly cry 😭. He’s had his whole world flipped upside down and people think he should just shake it off and move on? How dare they?! His father’s an even bigger absentee than before the fallout of his marriage and his mother is completely M.I.A. He’s not speaking to his oldest friend and he’s still holding onto his maiden hood. Give the boy a break!!!
Caroline was not who I was expecting at all. She’s a bit naive and totally spoiled, but she too has a big heart. Just doesn’t do well with surprise changes and takes a bit for her to adapt in new environments. In other words, she’s pretty relatable.
I love that Blake has always had a thing for his best friend’s older sister. I love how attracted they are to each other. I love how he is just a truly sincere and honest guy who just sucks at communication. These two obviously care a lot about one another. Their moments together are everything! But there is a lot of miscommunication and false accusations being thrown around like crazy!!! I loved every moment 😝.
I also loved seeing Aric again!!! He’s so grown!! Love it!!! Maddie’s such a sweetie. Royal is royally f’ed up in the head and I can’t wait to read his story!!! And what in the world is going on between Mr. Sullivan and Sophie, the girl next door? Something is definitely going on there, I be reading in between the lines y’all.
So good!!! You’ll be glad that there’s no cheating and a HEA to make your heart ❤️ melt. Get it!!!

I was at the movies with my son when this book appeared on my kindle. Guess my dilemma...
To start it right away or not... Decisions...
But I couldn't start it and it was torture. Lol.
L.A. Hart is the bomb. It doesn't matter what genre she writes because I know right away that it will be a success.
Her writing is hot and wild, sweet and spicy, raw and intense. Each book will make you feel things...
Crave your Mercy is her latest release and it's the second book from the Mercy Academy.
This new book explores the lives of Blake and Caroline.
Blake had it all. He was a football star in high school, had money and all the things it could buy and his two best friends. He had it all right? Wrong... So,  so wrong.
When he discovered that his best friend was having an affair with his mom he had only one idea in mind...
To get his revenge...
Caroline was away from home to attend college.
After her terrible first time, she ought to find the perfect guy who will make her erase it. But to top it all, she's failing in school and needs to come clean with her parents and return home.
This author can never disappoint... Oh boy. So good.
It was another amazing book that made me smile, laugh, curse... You name it.
Beautiful plot, very well written, super captivating and intense.
This book showed us what really happens, what are the biggest decisions that anyone has to make.
It's not easy to fall in love, but it's even harder to keep loving and be loved.
Nothing in life is granted so you must fight for what you believe.
Stubborn doesn't even begin to describe these two. They were... How can I put it? More stubborn than a mule. Jeez.
The biggest blind is the one who refuses to see what's right in front of them.
Overall it was another amazing book that made my day. It was perfect to have news from the other characters. And it will be even more beautiful when I get my claws on the next one.
Please, L. A. Hart, don't take to long...  I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

Before I say more about how I feel about this book, let's take 30 seconds to appreciate how the author ruined everything:
« I’m not getting an abortion,” I lift my face to tell her. I may not have a fucking clue about what I’m going to do, but I know it’s not that. I stopped eating meat because I don’t like the unnecessary killing of animals, so I could never do anything to hurt this…baby. »
What the actual fuck? How can you write this in a romance curated mainly for women?

I really liked the first one, I re-read it before this one and I still enjoy the romance between Aric and Maddie!
I remember Aric describing his sister to Maddie as "shy and hard working", oh boy, was he wrong!
I actually would have loved to see the author write more about Caroline's struggling with school, she seemed to have a non diagnosed learning problem. But the author preferred for her to stop school and become a stay at home mother (at least for now). Choices were made.

Caroline was a spoiled brat and acted like a bitch for the first half of the book. I didn't like her at all.

The book was divided in little snippets during each month of her pregnancy making it hard for me to connect to the characters and believe in their love story. It was too shallow and too quick.

I liked Blake but I feel like I learned less of him here than in the first book.

And I can't, for the life of me, understand why Blake's mother is kinda forgiven here. She's a predator, Royal even says to Blake that she was acting inappropriately towards him before he stopped coming to his house. How can you agree to have this around your new born baby? It's bonkers.

I just don't understand how this is the same author that wrote the first book.

I think Royal and Hannah's story should have been told before Blake and Caroline's because even if Royal is a secondary character here, Hannah is mentioned once. And both were more present in the first book.

Blake seems a bit naive until his life implodes. Challenged by the unraveling of so many close relationships and left to his own devices, he has had to grow up quickly. Wanting nothing more than to be loved, he is ecstatic when the girl who has always seemed out of reach suddenly shows interest. He's been crushing on Caroline since he realized girls were pretty great. Adding in the complication that she is the sister of his estranged best friend, Blake creates a situation that will likely end badly.

With his messed up home life, Blake is a sympathetic character. Throughout the story you get to see him grow up before your eyes, turning into a loving and more mature character. As he struggles with being forced into self-reliance, his ongoing relationship with Caroline and attempts to repair some of his damaged relationships lead to misunderstandings and plenty of angst as he tries to grow into the man he wants to be.

Caroline, conversely, has been sheltered and well-loved by her family. As she faces adversity, her only fear is in disappointing her loved ones. Faced with difficult decisions and the need to grow up quickly, she will struggle with making the right decisions for herself and those around her, and finding her own way to adulthood.

Blake and Caroline have explosive chemistry. While they have been raised in very different circumstances, they are bound together by not only their attraction but also their need for love and struggle for maturity. As you follow these two characters through the story, you'll laugh and cry and even hold your breath at times watching this couple fight to survive challenge after challenge.

A touching and emotionally fraught romance. Four stars.

This is an honest, voluntary review of an ARC of the story.

>Book Review – Crave Your Mercy
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 2nd in the Mercy Academy series and ends in a cliffhanger. This story revolves around Blake. In book 1, his world was shattered when he finds out his mom had an affair with his best friend, Arik. Arik and Maddy are in this book, along with the 3rd BFF, Royal. Blake is not speaking to Arik, but has a secret crush on Arik’s older sister, Caroline. They hook up once and BAM, instant pregnancy. I thought it was interesting that Blake was a virgin, but it was refreshing.
>Caroline was a hard character to like. She is surprised that her family is fostering Maddy’s siblings. She is immediately rude and unforgiving. She is chasing the perfect orgasm, so she sleeps with a bunch of guys looking for it. She doesn’t seem to have much of a moral compass. She is lying to her parents about her grades and treats Blake horribly.
>Blake is the character that really shines in this book. He unfailingly stands by Caroline, even when she is cruel to him, which is often. He is mistreated by his broken family and is alone on the holidays. The romance between Blake and Caroline is not very romantic. She wants him at first due to drugs and then due to pregnancy hormones. Blake is just being used and he knows it.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. This romance is not very romantic. Aric, Maddy and Royal are interesting enough to carry the book, as is Blake, on his own.

Absolutely loving this series, and all the surrounding characters! After reading book 1 I really felt for Blake and was excited he was getting his story out there. I had no clue the explosive chemistry he and our heroine would have! This book is sweet, sexy, raw, and will hit you in the feels!
Blake and Caroline are extremely different characters with a lot of baggage and sadness surrounding them. Blake is still shook from his friends betrayal, and really feeling the brunt of his shattered family. Caroline is having a harder time than imagined in college and comes home to even more burdens. They find comfort in each other and get way more than they bargained for.
I love the siblings best friend trope and really enjoyed Blake's longing for Caroline and his chapters pov. His character although young, was also selfless and I feel wore his heart on his sleeve while also keeping some truths held close.
Caroline's development was clear as day throughout the book and she really turned her attitude and outlook around.
Both of them were faced with an extreme challenge and decisions that I felt so heavily, it was heart wrenching but refreshing to read about such vulnerabilities and real.life struggles.
Blake is just...swoon! I absolutely adored him and his story so much!!
Looking so forward to book 3 and more of these two and our other faves from Mercy Academy.

My Heart Aches For Blake

I gave this book a 5 because it is phenomenal🤫the thing that I do not like about it is arik he has no reason to be upset about nothing in this because he slept with Blake's mother🤦‍♀️ other than that the book is just awesome👍 blake has suffered so much through all of this his best friend sleeping with his mother the girl of his dreams it's like aric has everything stolen from from blake my heart ached I cried my heart went out to blake he finally found his dream woman and he didn't even know it thinking it was mandy. and Royal I just don't like him in this series. He was messy whatever is going on with him Basically far as Blake this child is devastated hes been through too much with and his senior year of high school who goes through so much of their last year I just don't understand is so heart touching and it will almost make you get mad at the author it is I can't tell everything but you reader shall have a go at it that's all I can say just have a go at it.💔my heart is hurting so deeply enough finish reading .so devastating but I know you might think that I'm overreacting but this is just me in I have read thousands of books over the years and this is one of the couple of ones that has really upset me but you guys enjoy... let's see what Royal is doing. I absolutely really enjoyed this book. There were tears, laughs and more happy tears. Caroline was a student at Mercy H.S. when her heart was broken. Her brothers best friend was there to help talk it out. Blake has always liked Caroline but being his best friends sister you just don't go there, so he just stayed friends with her. Caroline goes to college & while there her grades are horrible so she goes home, while there she is invited to a Birthday party for Blake. They enjoy each others company and one thing led to another & they end up sleeping together. Blake is thrilled that it was with the girl he has liked forever. Caroline goes back to school only to find out she is PREGNANT! Blake finds out but not by her but by her brother of all people. So many things happened that had their friendship strained. (Need to read to find out what happened). All their parents are not on board with the decision they decided on but its their baby & their choice. Once she goes into labor & has to have an emergency C-Section, everything changes. Both Blake & Caroline decide what's best for their baby. Now they have decided that they need to decided about their future.

In Beg for Mercy you got Aric's story and what kind of pain his actions caused Blake his family just employed over night. In this story you see how hard of a time Blake is having moving on his best friend and his mother how do you deal with it especial when your parents divorce gets beyond ugly and very public. I completely hated Blake's mom and his father isn't going to win any awards either so Blake parties and tries to forget but people saying just move on doesn't help. Then the girl he crushed on Caroline comes home from college biggest problem he's hurting and wants revenge next problem she's Aric's older sister. Caroline has been dealing with things at collage doesn't even know how messed up things are at home and doesn't even see what's coming when she goes home for a break and when she goes to a party and sees the guy she used to have a crush on Blake things happen now they have to deal with the consequences with a lot of drama and pain on both sides. There story was beautifully written and I think the author really managed to do justice to it and I can't wait to see what's in store for Blake's friend Royal.

This is sweet, dramatic and romantic. Blake has had a crush on Caroline for years, but she's the older sister of his best friend Aric, so therefore off limits. During his senior year in high school his parents divorce, because Blake's mother slept with Aric. His mother moved out, his father started staying out all night. On his birthday, which is Halloween, he's always had a big party, but this year is different, he's too depressed to celebrate, but his friend Royal won't let him cancel. Royal also invites Caroline to the party, and sends her up to Blake's room to cheer him up. They end up in bed, at her instigation, and get caught by Aric, who proceeds to tell her that Blake only used her to get revenge. She gets angry and hurt so she goes back to college and ignores Blake. He texts her daily apologizing, but never tells her that he didn't do it out of revenge. Then she turns out to be pregnant. Blake and Caroline get to know each other better during the pregnancy, but she's rather cold to him. Some shocking twists come to light that make friends out of former friends. It's not dark like the title implies, it's very sweet, but angsty, and I loved it.

Revenge. Forgiveness. Love. One of Blake’s best friends, Aric, slept with his mom and now his parents are getting a divorce and he’s lost his friend. He is angry with Aric and has sworn revenge. Blake is in his last year of high-school and has always been attracted to Caroline, Aric’s sister, but she is several years older than Blake, Aric, and their other friend royal. But when Caroline comes home for the week-end from college and goes to Blake’s birthday party, his remaining friend Royal does something he thinks will get Blake and Aric back as friends but it all goes wrong. Caroline ends up pregnant with Blake’s child, is angry with him, and the two families are even more angry at each other. Caroline wants to have the baby and put it up for adoption and then go back to college. But what happens when their feelings for each other get in the way. Will the adults sabotage their growing romance? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review

Not the suspenseful, revenge story I was anticipating … 3.5 stars

I had been eagerly awaiting this story, wondering how Blake might exact his revenge on Aric. The possibilities were limitless – especially as Aric’s sister seemed to be the main focus of Blake’s retaliation – based solely on the description of the book. The resulting story was not at all what I was expecting. Blake isn’t a mean-spirited guy – he doesn’t have what it takes to be nasty and cruel. He’s angry, disappointed, and confused, and rightly so. In some ways, this story is more Caroline’s, with the tough decisions she faces. Overall, it was just okay for me – not a bad story as written, but disappointingly not the story I was anticipating. There’s LOTS of drama, angst, misunderstandings and some humour, along with some steamy hook-ups that lead to a sweet HEA for this cute couple.

Choices - Is this a mistake?

Excellent story! A difficult choice for 2 teens (Blake & Caroline) who have a first time night without protection. They need to make the best decision, with no regrets & what will turn out to be the ultimate heart-wrenching decision once they are firm on their final option. It will affect both of their lives no matter what the end result will be.
Caroline feels she’ll be a rotten mother & doesn’t want to ruin a young man’s life. It’s not like they love each other & it does look like a plot for the ultimate revenge & she’s the victim.
How much can these two sacrifice? Can they overcome the pressures from their parents on what is the right thing to do? Will these two teens try to find a HEA or accept their one-nighter gift & let him go to parents who could give him more?

I recieved this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review

Oh wow what an unexpected birthday present Blake gets from Caroline Aric's older sister who we only saw a little bit in Beg Your Mercy & here the main timescale is where its soon after the explosion of the Aric & Collette situation, though Caroline has no clue about it.
But things blow up after Aric shows up in Blake's room with the 2 of them naked & then they both feel like they only slept together in payback.
So we see what happens during Caroline's first semester of College & Blake's final Yr of high school & what a start/end of their education.
But the biggest education Is the opening up & realisation of how they feel, what is important & being true to themselves.
They're a great couple who again seem older than they are. A great filling of commitment & love
Looking forward in reading 'Have Mercy' Royal & Hannah's story...
