Rate this book
He is an alpha wolf shifter, and I am a human. He was always there to protect me. He’s been following me since my childhood and I had no idea.

Brandon Scott has been all I need since I saw him naked, the very first day we met.
After seeing his tanned body, with those bulging muscles, I want him so badly.
He makes me crazy and I am getting obsessed.
His eyes can melt any woman’s heart.
I’ve never felt like this in my entire life.
Now I have to share a cabin with him.
And I don’t know if I can trust myself with him.

I know he is not a human. He says he is my father’s assistant.
He says he can not fall in love with a human. It is against the rules of his pack.
Who cares? I am stubborn.
I can’t resist this sexy creature roaming around me.
My body craves his touch. I need him.
I want him to do all the naughty things to me.
Lust is taking over my mind.
How long can I keep control?
How long can I fight my hormones?

Now as I am addicted to him, My heart is breaking.
All my plans with Brandon are shattering.
He already has a mate and he never told me anything about her.
Now I am hurt and I want to run from here.
Maybe moving to Italy will help me forget him.
There he is, again standing in front of me.

There is not even a single second when I don’t miss him. Why he can’t be mine?

This book was so bad I can’t even put it into words. If negative stars were a thing it would get a -5 hands down! First of all, I accidentally bought it on my kindle so I forced myself to finish it. It was painful and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. The writing sucked, no plot, and the book was only like 70 pages🤣. I could do a better job writing this thing. I don’t know what kind of middle school shit this was but don’t read it.

It’s the author’s insta attempt at paranormal and it shows. The writing is somewhat stilted and doesn’t flow well. The premise of the story is good but there is a lot going on in this book. Just not my cup of tea.

I found this to be a superb storyline that grabs you right from the start keeping you engrossed and on edge throughout the whole book!Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well. The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting.Add in drama and steamy passion and you have a good read.

A lot of babbling and not enough action.
Air head for a heroine and a vague shadow for a hero would have required a strong plot to work. Unfortunately there was nothing.
The whole book felt unfinished and more of an idea than a finished book.

Love Endures and Saves

Allison Farkas loves and worries about her father, Marcos. She had grown up hearing stories of how much she was loved by her “dead” mother, so he is her only family. She grew up in the luxury and the loneliness of wealth, cared for by servants, but often without her anchor, her father. And, when at the family estate of Wakerlin, the one non-negotiable rule was to not enter the forest that surrounded the estate. Now an adult and a recent graduate from university in Australia where she resided under the care of her Aunt Mia, she is at long last home on the eve of her birthday. His princess has returned to the loving care of her father in time to celebrate her birthday with an elaborate celebration, but on the day of her birthday celebration, he goes out to attend to business and never returns.

An extensive search is begun including the area police, but to no avail. There is no sign of her father. In despair when a day of searching yields no news, Alli breaks her father’s long-standing rule, to not enter the forest, to search on her on for her missing parent. She travels into the deep into unknown forest, unmindful of gathering storm clouds. As the storm begins to stir, she seeks shelter from the wind, rain and lightning in a small hut where light shines into the gathering darkness. As she dries from the rain, a large white wolf, obviously injured and in distress, enters the hut through the unsecured door. Assuming that the apparently tamed wolf must reside with its master in the hut, she seeks to clean and dress the wolf’s injury.

Aided by her attentions, the wolf begins to heal at a remarkable speed, and just as surprisingly, begins to paranormally shift into a large, well-built, handsome and totally naked man. This half-human, half-wolf creature, who introduces himself as Brandon Scott, is not known to her, but she is known to him as the daughter of his loyal friend, savior—the leader of the East Pack. Her father is a were-wolf. And now, with her father no longer a protection for his daughter, Brandon must stand between her and the forces that have already taken her father’s power and are now seeking to wrest power from his heir==Allison. The reader and Alli are introduced to the fierce competition of the family Farkos where the innocent and unknowing Alli and her half-human, half-wolf alpha protector, Brandon, must learn to accept, love a trust each other to survive

Human Alpha Protector, Alicia Banks’ introductory novel into the world of shifters, and guides her readers into the paranormal world of shifters where a family rivalry is in full riot. The story, for the most part, provides a clear plotline; however, a few threads are dropped or not fully connected in weaving the story, forcing the reader to reference earlier plot details for clarity and the unwinding of the storyline for probability. The angst of the main character’s relationship with her father, her missing mother, her new love and his former “mate” and the existence of her living mother and a brother needs additional work to grow the character and plot’s believability. I do see creativity and thoughtfulness in this first venture which will move me to read her next exploration of the paranormal shifter’s world.

I received a free ARC of the novel for review and later bought a copy.

This is my first book I have read from Alicia Banks. I know it is her first ever paranormal novel and I have approached it knowing this. I really enjoyed the bones of the story and felt for the characters and there struggles they had to face in this story. I was given a free copy of this book and honestly give my opinion of the story.

Allison Farkas is the spoiled daughter of a loving absentee father Marco. She is studying overseas in Australia but has come home for the summer holidays. Her father throws a birthday party for her and sometime after this party, her father goes missing. She calls the police to help her find him. They are with her till she crosses a bridge into a forest that her father has forbidden her to go into. She is searching the forest when a storm hits.

Alli stumbles across a cottage and lets herself in, shortly afterwards a wolf walks in the door and he is injured. Alli tends to his wounds and he quickly heals and then he turns into a man right before her eyes. A very naked one. He introduces himself as Brandon Scott her bodyguard. It seems he has been looking after her since she was twelve years old. She learns that her father is also a half wolf half man just like Brandon.

The two of them have to escape when Alli's uncle wants her dead. They race off to the city where they are safe, but they spend most of the time in Brandon's apartment which his parents bought for him when he was going to medical school but abandoned when he was turned into a hybrid wolf. They spend most of the time making love and getting by. Then when Alli talks Brandon into taking her to a coffee shop, she is kidnapped by her cousin. Who is Brandon's mate.

Long story short, she is rescued and finds herself on the way to Italy where she finds more family and then has her happily ever after.

From my understanding this is the first book written by this author so I went in open minded with no expectations of perfection.

Allison is a normal young woman with an absent yet loving father. Her father goes missing and she finds a large wolf upon her search for her father she learns is really a man that is half wolf shifter. From this point she learns of a world she never knew of.

The book has a solid foundation. The base of the story between Allison and Brandon is good but there are things I feel could be improved upon.

For example: we know at the beginning of the book Allison had a long flight home from Australia but where is home? Based off the Italian words not long after this I’m assuming it’s Italy but that’s only an assumption. Also some of the terms used to describe items such as clothing or things in her home were American terms, not European so maybe Allison’s home is in the US. This was distracting and I feel it could have been elaborated upon to help visualize the story.

I also felt there were details that could have been expanded upon when Allison was in the cabin with Brandon that could help solidify the foundation of the story and help get better insight for what is to come later in the story and better background of how Allison came to be where she is.

This story isn’t quite a novella but not a full length novel. If the author isn’t looking for a full length novel that’s fine but if she is going for that there is definitely room for improvement.

I honestly believe this could be a phenomenal series and this isn’t a bad start at all. Give it a chance!

When everything in your life is upside down!

After growing up in a glamorous lifestyle, for Allison Farkas, her life was becoming stranger every day after her father disappeared. Everything that once was forbidden was now a reason to be explored, with the purpose of gathering any hint of her father and his rare behavior. Now, she was facing a world full of wolf shifters and danger, and a new reality about who she was and who her family had in stake, but she was not alone: she had a hidden bodyguard, Brandon Scott, his father’s assistant. He protected her as well as admired her in every turn, and he knew more than he was willing to confess, but his respect for her did not allow him to admit his own feelings. Alli finally found her partner, although her recent discovered family was in the middle, and fear and guilty did not allow her to be happy. ¿What is it necessary to overcome danger and fears, and be who you truly were destined for?

Alicia Banks, through this book, is introducing us to a shifters’ world discovery and their interaction with humans: how it is possible to live together, within a love scenario of two destined souls, that struggle to comprehend their feelings and to acknowledge about them to each other. Great characters, with strong personalities and an inner connection, that help you to understand the whole plot, with suddenly discovered trues come in their ways as opportunities. Great job!

I found this wolf shifter book to be extremely enjoyable. It was well paced with excellent writing. The story flowed without hick-ups and the character development throughout was very well done.

Brandon was placed in charge of Allison as a protector, as her father was the Alpha of the pack that turned Brandon at 18 y/o. He has watched over her since she was a pre-teen. When her father goes missing and Brandon is shot, he is forced to reveal himself to Ali in order to keep her safe.

They develop feelings for each other, but when his former fiance abducts Ali, her life is again thrown into turmoil. When Brandon arrives and fights to rescue her, and his former fiance is killed in the process, Ali blames herself for his pain and sends him away.

Will Ali ever find happiness? How many people will she search for trying to fill the emptiness that she created sending Brandon away? Can she let go of the past and stop running?

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

The story was good. The beginning wasn't very clear to me. Allison's dad goes missing and they look for him for a short while, then it just kinda slows almost to a stop. Now Allison has no idea what her dad did, why he had part of the woods as a forbidden area, no one to talk to and she needs answers. So as she heads to the forbidden woods, she meets Brandon who has been guarding her for a while now. He gives her answers to some of questions and that just confuses her more. Plus people are now trying to kill her. Brandon gets her to safety and boy do sparks fly. She learns she has more family and Brandon is mated to her cousin. The thing that bothered me is that he never told her and she never asked him why not. Everything that happened between them and he never said a word. I got mad for her. When she met her brother, he came off as a jerk to me. Maybe he was playing but come on, she just met him. All in all it was a really good read. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Loved this book brilliant story about Alli and Brandon who is a wolf shifter tasked with watching over Alli to keep her safe all the while she didn’t know he was there. Alli didn’t have any idea about shifters until her father went missing and she went looking for him in the woods where she met Brandon who explained everything to her about her Dad and himself. Brandon has always looked after Alli from a far but now having her this close his feelings for her where stronger he also knew Alli felt the same their feelings and relationship grew until Alli is taken from him and finds he already has a mate Alli also turns into a wolf once she is control of it she goes away to Italy to try and mend her heart but he is there again looking after her from a far Alli can’t stop loving him she gets caught up in a net and he is there to rescue her again they talk and admit their love for each other.

I believe this is the authors first foray into the paranormal romance world and if it is she has excelled There is plenty of depth in the story the characters draw you in and you are engaged until that last page.

Allison Farkas has recently returned from her studies overseas in Australia and her father has thrown her a huge birthday party but next day her father is missing and no one has any answers She wanders into the near by woods looking for him an area her father has always told her she must not enter There she finds an injured wolf she tends the wolf and he heals before her eyes and turns into a man She is stunned when she learns that this is Brandon Scott not only is he her fathers assistant but he has acted has her bodyguard without her knowing. As they search for her father she learns more about wolf shifter finding out her father is one. Can they find her father Do they have a future together and will he be able to keep her safe You will have to read to see

When Alison's father goes missing she starts searching in the woods that he told her to stay out of. Once she is in them she finds an injured wolf she tries to help it and ends up in a cabin/shack and the wolf turns into a man. That man is Brandon her father assistant and he tells he that he is sworn to protect her. Things between them heat up as the work together to solve the mystery surrounding her father's disappearance. Can they be together with how they met and their differences? Will Brandon show Alison that he is the man for her?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them sizzled with each turn of the page. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A good shifter romance. 💞❤️🐺💞

Allison was raised basically as a princess with no knowledge of what her father really did or was. So when it's left to Brandon, her bodyguard, to explain things to her... after he shifts from being a wolf... she's a bit shocked. But when he tells her that she has to go on the run with him because now an "uncle" she didn't even know about want to kill her too? Life gets really strange for her.

I went into this book knowing that it was the authors' first book and keeping an open mind. There were some really interesting parts to this book but there were just as many plot holes and twists that weren't followed through. Overall, it's not a bad book and I am interested to read more from this author as she continues to write.

This was a fantastic read that I could not stop reading. The story is awesome and it grabbed me from the very first paragraph. It is the kind of book that once you start you are glued to it until the very end. You have no cares in the world. The characters are so real you feel as though you have been friend forever. You want to be there to support them no matter what they need to do in order to succeed. The book moves along at a great pace making it a nice enjoyable read. This book needs to be on your TBR list there is no doubt about it.

shifter story

Lots of fast paced action in an unusual shifter romance story . Keeping up with what is happening will keep you on your toes as so many new characters are introduced. I would have preferred to have had some more background so I could understand the characters a bit better and perhaps slow the action enough to become more " involved " with the characters but if you like a lot of action this could be just right for you

Allison has lived the privileged life until her father disappears so she goes looking for him in the woods where she was warned to stay out of, while there she finds a wounded wolf she takes him back to her cabin to help him heal but then he turns into a man. Brandon is a wolf shifter and her fathers assistant and he has been watching over Allison since she was 12 years old, now together they go in search for her father and the secrets that her father had hidden from her and along the way they find love. Fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Human Alpha Protector (Wolf Shifter))

While I really enjoyed this book, at times I wanted to slap some sense into Allison. Brandon has been protecting her all along and she is so jealouus that she falls into the enemy's trap. Then when the girl dies trying to help her escape, she blames Brandon. I want to pull her hair out, she is such a drama mama. Thank goodness Brandon really loves her enough to forgive her. It is a good book though, and I do recommend it highly. Everybody has to grow up sometime.

When her father goes missing, Allison enters a forbidden forest and meets a wounded wolf. After he unexpectedly changes back to human, Brandon tells her he had been charged by her father with keeping Allison safe since she was a child. That is just one of many secrets she must now confront. Human Alpha Protector is an exciting romance.

I enjoyed the drama in this story. Allison's father goes missing and she sets out to find him only to find a wounded wolf who she performs first aid on only to discover he's a shifter and that there is a whole world that she was unaware of. I don't want to say too much as to not spoil it for readers. The story was well constructed and enjoyable. It left me wanting to read more about Allison and Brandon.

This was a great way to start off a new series. The book has a great solid storyline, and it left me with a few questions that I'm guessing will be answered in the upcoming books. The characters were well developed and likeable, and their interactions kept me engrossed. All of the good feels, growth, and discovery of human/shifter were there. I cant wait to see how she moves forward in the upcoming books.

She really has her life changed with her father's disappearance. She is introduced to a world of wolf shifters. Her heart is at risk and her life too.

There is a good romance at the heart of the story. I thought they made a great couple.

She is so attracted to him but not sure what to make of his world. He wants to keep her safe and her introduction to shifters brings her directly into danger.

Closer than you think

I like this story. I wished the father's missing part was more developed. I had a few questions about that part. I love stories where the bodyguard falls for their care or vice versa. The journey to that realization and acceptance can be fun. Brandon and Allison are wonderful together. It only makes sense that he would be in Italy too, when she goes to meet her mom for the first time.

After reading this book there are some rather large plot holes.

A MAJOR plot issue is that the book's based on the heroine's parents splitting up was because of some major hate for humans and it not being she for her human mother to stay with the Alpha father. But the heroine's love interest was a full human beeper being turned by her ( wait for it) FATHER! So, why didn't the father turn his wife and mother of his 2 children!?! I dunno, it was never explained.

Enjoyed the story. Brandon, who is half wolf, has been watching over Allison for a very long time and has fallen in love with her. Allison becomes aware of Brandon when her father suddenly disappears and her life is in danger. The book is well written and entertaining. There is an aspect of danger which also adds to the story. I would recommend this book as a good read.

I recieved a free review copy and now im leaving a review voluntarily.

This book is the first paranormal romance from this author and it is a good book.

It jumped straight in to the action but it didnt have much background story to the characters or where they were. Other that that it was action packed and romantic.

Give this book a go and you wont be disappointed.

I enjoyed this story. Allison had no idea her father was a werewolf and when he disappears, she is frantic. She finds Brandon who turns out to be her protector for years. The characters had great chemistry and though there were misunderstandings, they figured things out. The story moved along smoothly and was easy to read and enjoy. I got this book from the author for an honest review
