True love. That’s all I really wanted when I moved out to L.A., reaching towards stardom and escaping my mediocre midwest life. Unfortunately, finding more than the occasional one-night fling in the City of Angels was about as likely as spotting a unicorn.
Just when I was losing faith in ever finding my forever person, a witch sat down in my salon chair and changed everything. She told me my life was about to change big time and that I had “big love” coming for me.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would meet my soulmate — let alone that there would be five of them! All of them movie stars. All of them hot as hell.
My celeb crush. A brilliant director. A rising star. A creative genius. A bad boy rockstar. All of them filthy rich. All of them filthy famous. All of them— well, all of them are just plain filthy!
But as I become more and more popular, I notice things start to change. Can they handle sharing the spotlight, or are we all doomed to compete with one another?
**This is a 100,000+ word novel about one handsome guy who falls in love with five bad boy movie stars and five bad boy movie stars that fall in love with one handsome guy. No cheating, HEA, and is the first book in the Lucky Stars series. Readers can expect several spicy scenes that will leave them reaching for a glass of water.
It was hard to rate this because of the fact that its a HFN ending with the promise of at least another book, which is about 3 years over due. it's that reason that I can't rate this higher, I feel like we were promised a HEA harem type love story and now we may not get it. If this was supposed to be a one off book, it needed an epilogue to bring in the last 2 love interests and resolve the drama.
Aside from the up in the air, non cliff hanger ending - I would say this is a good story for those who like light drama, lust filled, gay poly romance. Add in a possible Witch and a film crew and you have a "can't put down" read.
If anyone knows when this next installment is coming out - let me know!
I found this book and this new to me author by mistake and it's the best one I've made in ages. This isn't normally the type of book that I read but I thought I would give it a go. I wasn't able to put it down until I finished it and nothing has kept my attention tion for a little while now. The story flows do well that I didn't realise I was at 89% and still enjoying it. I can't wait for the next book as it was just starting to answer some questions of mine and I can't wait to see all the boys together.
This story was a great example of how to do a harem story the right way. It wasn't insta-love, or even insta-lust for everyone, but a series of events that leads to a connection between everyone. A great read, and highly recommended. I can't wait for the sequel!
I don't usually read really dramatic books where the main character needs to work so much on themselves throughout the book. Although every once in a while I do enjoy powering through all the drama and heartache to get to the happy ending. This book, however, didn't do that for me. I never noticed the progress I should have been seeing in the main character. Every time I saw the main character move two steps forward I'd see him go right back. It was very frustrating. Even though it was supposed to be a harem the main character and the members of his supposed harem never formally established it as that; all they did was say they liked each other. By the time I reached the end of the book I was disappointed. I never found out if the main character actually became an actor. I never found out if he ended up with all the guys he liked. It felt unfinished and unsatisfying. I wanted to give it a higher rating but I was too disappointed to give it three stars. I would have enjoyed it more if the main character's progression was clearer, and if there was maybe an epilogue at the end to know what happened to the characters and their careers. Sorry but as is I wouldn't recommend this book.
I adore this book, if the series went anywhere, I would have given it 5 stars. The issue lies in the author, he does not seem capable of finishing a multi-book plot. There are several books like Starboys in his catalog, that promise a longer story than they ultimately deliver. In addition, it seems this author has disappeared from writing and we are unlikely to ever get anything more.
If you want to read the beginning of a tangled harem story with a cliffhanger ending, this is certainly worth it.
Despite the incompleteness, I thought it was a fantastic read. Each character is dynamic and the author showcases a vast understanding of the world his story occurs in. While I do think the main character's internal struggle is a lesser note, it is easy to breeze past it.
Didn't realize this wasn't a standalone. The book is a 3.5 out of 5 for me. Kinda unsatisfied that the relationship between the MC and his men has got a long way to go. I'd really love for the sequel to come out soon. It's already been a year since this book got released. Also, I totally LOVE Hazel! Like, she is amazing and I want to be best friends with her. She kinda stole the show for me and I hope I get to see more of her in Book 2.
if you like drama, love and gay romance you will love this book. I enjoyed how you got to know the characters and realize that love is love in any type of relationship you choose.
Read in one day and was a great experience. Although I will say, it is kinda of exhausting trying to keep up with 6 personalities from one perspective. I will definitely be reading the next in the series when it comes out. I’m glad Charlie found what he was looking for!
This book will inspire some, enlighten others and provide some measure of healing hope to all who serendipitously find and read it. Thank you for your words.
This ended way too soon, I want to see all these boys together. They all have something to offer to the table, and they all deserve the love they could have together. I hope the second book comes soon!
I love this book so much! The story was riveting and kept me on my toes! The characters made me want to change in a healthy way. This story made me want to forgive. It was just the right balance of otherworldly and worldly. It just felt right. Amazing. I totally recommend it!
