This is an excellent short read. As the title suggests, it talks about kindness as a virtue and how we can be kind to ourselves and others in general. It really hits home when it speaks about how small acts of kindness (which we may not consider as anything big or out-of-the-way) can have the most unimaginable positive impact on someone else's life or frame of mind!
The book is a simple collection of experiences in the life of the author. It talks about how their experiences taught them the importance of being kind. The details outlined in a few stories might take one to their own childhood, especially the Millennials. It's a good, light read
What can I say? Even if I write a book as a review for 'the book of kindness' , I don't think i can convey everything of what I wanted to say.
' the book of life' or even ' the holy grail of life' would be synonymous to the title.
This book is so powerful that as I was midway reading through it , somewhere deep inside the heart seems like a window has been opened and the whole world looks so beautiful suddenly seen through the spectacle of kindness
I could look back and relate how I could have made a difference if I had been kind in innumerable circumstances......
Based on this book i feel, Kindness is nothing but meditation in action with eyes wide open
Kindness seems to be the foundation on which the edifice of kingdom of God is built
It's just not an amazing read , it's an amazing experience for me....... Read this book and live your life through the spectacle of kindness
It will surely transform your life and everyone around you!!!!

This book should be made a compulsory curriculum for the schools/colleges all around the world..... it would make this world a better place to live....

As the title goes, book explores nuances of compassion which we would most commonly encounter and would seek answers for what is right in our routine lives. Good smooth read.
If we reflect on our past & see how our acts have affected people or how we made them feel will we be satisfied or would we want to change our behaviour? I have personally felt immense difference & peace in my life by practicing kindness. How people behave with us is not in our control but how we react to that & how we make them feel, tells a lot about our inner strength & bliss. The Book of Kindness is my first read by Om Swami & i absolutely loved his writing, the way he puts his thoughts, the clarity of his message is applaudible. The book is divided into three sections: Understanding Kindness, Practicing Kindness & Mastering Kindness. The author explains his points with real life examples & also examples from Indian Mythology. Each chapter starts with a beautiful quote & at the end of the Book we are also given some easy & effective Kindness Meditations. At the end of the Book we are also given 10 simple tips of acquiring & growing kindness in our daily lives. The writing is brilliant & the language is very easy. Some of my favorite chapters from the book were 'The First Encounter' where the author experiences the feeling of bliss when he helped an old woman, 'Kindness Pays' which has a story where an old woman is kicked out of her house in the middle of the night by her son & 'The Best You Can' this chapter includes an article written by comedian Kristine Levine which gives us a different perspective on kindness altogether. Definitely Must Read!!

The book talks about kindness, empathy, charity, gratitude, meditation and everything that you need to hear. This book will help you to understand, practice and master kindness at its best.
Whenever I feel miserable I pick this book up and read quite a few pages and it really feels like a warm hug. It is definitely not a kind of book that you read once and place it on your bookshelf. This book has absolutely changed my life! 💖

After reading this book I have started watching and practicing a bit about kindness. Started taking baby steps into and it really feels great. Everyone should try atleast one act of kindness per day for inner happiness. . Dont dwell on past it is gone rather start practicing gratitude for things that you have in your life. This book has lessons/stories on kindness. The story really makes you crave for kind people in today's time. The books is divided into 3 parts Understanding kindness, Practising kindness, Mastering kindness. . There are beautiful writeups, sayings before each chapter. At the end of the book there are 10 beautiful tips to involve kindness in your daily life. The writing is amazing.
very interesting and deep stories which stayed with me for long after I had read them
All the stories in the book are based on real events which depict the crisis that people went through followed by their rise from those dire circumstances. Particularly the story about the woman who was unlettered and thrown out of her house by her own son, her story was the one that left the deepest imprint on my mind. Thanks swami for writing these they do provide a lot of hope and positivity. They also reminded me to appreciate the small things in life.
What can I say.. there is such an amazing flow and grandeur in the writings of Om Swamiji.. it feels as if the powerful words and ideas are being narrated by Swamiji himself. Yet the book could not have been more practical.. to elucidate the broad topic like kindness by so many stories, real life examples and scientific evidences is no easy feet.. only an enlightened soul could do this.. A must read and a must follow guide to Kindness..
The books is for everyone. Irrespective of any religion or practice. Its a book that will show the mirror of your inner soul. It will make you feel sometime that how small you are and what have you done for others.
Life is just not about you, its about your surroundings in which you live. It will make you feel that kindness and compassion van make your life much happier.
Not really bringing anything new to the table. Some examples did not really go along with what was trying to be portrayed. Kindess was shown from a selfcentered view (you will get it back from the universe) wish i understand but not what i wished for. Its a good book to get inspired if your new to the practice but no book for getting advanced in unconditional love

A thought-provoking book about kindness. I would highly recommend "The Book of Kindness" to people who are interested in increasing their emotional intelligence and bringing more peace, benevolence, and empathy into the world.
Very ok book. If you know what is kindness, the only point provided in the book are: 1. Practice is at home before becoming kind to the world. 2. Don’t waste a moment to been kind. 3. Be Kind be Kind be Kind. To each and all.

Quite inspiring book on kindness. It’s lucid, concise and effective. It will definitely help you be a little more kind than what you are already. Om Swamiji’s anecdotes from his own life were very thought provoking as always.
