She thought the curse was bad. In truth, it’s nothing compared to Hell, literally.
Turns out, Raina was pulled into Hell on the worst day of her new omega life. The icing on the cake? Well Hell is ruled by the Alpha who ruthlessly mated and claimed her only hours before.
Trapped in the Underworld, Raina must navigate this new horror show featuring her insane mate and all his sinners. And here Raina once prided herself on being the bad bitch around town. Now she is nothing in the eyes of the worst criminals humans past has ever known. They view her as chum, fodder for the King, to be disposed of when he grows bored.
But little does anyone know, this King is playing for keeps. His plans for his twisted omega mate started long before she was born.
Will she survive long enough to be broken in like any good omega should be or will her fierceness surprise them all, even herself?
**Warning, this dark omegaverse book is not for the faint of heart. Graphic scenes might be disturbing to some. Be advised, this story is a #whychoose, meaning the main character will end up with more than one mate by the end of the series. This book ends in a cliffhanger.
Ivy Chapman has always been irresistibly drawn to the damned. Recently, she discovered a not so secret passion for the dark and depraved reads. Ivy has entirely too much fun delving deep into the twisted and corrupt. Though she does occasionally surface long enough to publish her next unhappily ever after.
In this book we get to know more about Raina and her curse. She was born Alpha turned Omega conceived by parents who were "hand selected" and the victims of the curse "happened to be standing close" to where she was hiding so she could steal their skin. She was a chosen broodmare. Raina was dragged to the underworld by Aiden, King of Hell who -
“I waited so many long years to claim you. Watching you, shaping you to be who I want. When the time came for my plans to come to fruition, I planted that sweet little nobody omega in your path at just the right moment for your impatience to overlook her dynamic. Or flaw as you refer to it.”
But surprisingly (to me) she reasoned to herself -
"All these years I remained unaware of the rules of the chase but that’s not any different than how I played with my victims. Yes, they were innocent and they lost, just as I now have. And now it’s finally my turn to understand that notion of losing. To understand what it’s like to be prey. Only it seems that this loss doesn’t end in my death like it had for so many others."
Our Omega has two mates, Aiden and his second Lucas. Aiden is savage and cold. Lucas is described little. Both of them mate Raina and mark her. It is clear their bond is not close as the usual Alpha-is-possesive-of-his-mate way for when Raina is kidnapped she found out she is pregnant, she "tears apart" her kidnappers, when her Alphas come to her she accuses her Alphas to not come and rescue her, the Alphas just -
“Why should I? Either you were still alive or dead. Me arriving sooner or later wouldn’t have changed much. If the welp dies and you survive, I’ll simply breed another. If you died then I’d start anew with a new female.” His lips turn down in the corner as he reaches for me to pull me up. “Though I must admit, the idea of waiting another forty years to plan and create a good mate would be tedious.”
She rolls her eyes and is not surprised by the response. Maybe in the **extended version of book two** we will see if the Alphas bond with the Omega, maybe a little affection or compassion.
Skinned Deeper is not a standalone, the first book must be read. This may not be everyones choice of read. We have crazy hero and heroine. For a short story this book has lots of work done to keep a reader entranced. I enjoyed reading this and love the cover!
What did the Queen Of The Damned plan for The King Of Hell or vice versa?

The ending was a bit too far with the demons. It was dark, continuing Raina's story. She's vicious, the guys are worse and that somehow works. If she was a normal omega suffering, I would've noped it straight away. It was fast and brutal with Raina doing everything she can to piss the guys off. It did feel like one and a side kick instead of menage.

This is Omegaverse, if you don’t know what it is, please take the time to look it up before you judge this book. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s DEFINITELY Mine. *Grins*
This is a Dark Omegaverse, just letting you know
I love this series and I look forward to reading the next book coming October 2020! :D No Spoilers!
Well, He ll... now I'm all curious I came into this serial read on this chapter/ episode Honestly, I was able to piece together what was happening without a problem - Though I am curious now how the first episode played out.
What a deliciously evil twist to the already dark and messed up dynamics of the mighty alpha vs. the lowly omega
Since I don't want to give spoilers I will be overly vague Our heroine is one seriously psychotic Alpha. If her actions in this episode reflect her past in any way I would say she just got a reason to get a lot more vicious and possibly even a tad more bloodthirsty Our H reveals the why behind the curse and honestly, I'm not sure who is more morbid him or her
Since I came in on this episode I really did not form a connection with the characters. It is a serial read so it is pretty short. What is there runs on the darker side of Omegaverse reads.
Obviously, this being a serial series it's a quick read that leaves the reader far from sated
If you like Omegaverse with a huge dash of horror I totally recommend this book. Of course you need to read the first book to understand this one. So if you haven't gotten it yet, go do it!
I love how Raina is so unapologetically bad. The author writes her character so will I just can't help but love her!
The main male character finally answers some questions about Raina. So if the first one gets you curious this one fills in some blanks. And not only is there one mate, but this book introduces a second one. So there is some steamy reading involved in here as well.
I'm not usually a horror reader, but when it is done like this it is hard to not enjoy! Now I am impatiently waiting for the next book. I can't wait to find out what happens next!
Well, what a surprising read for a short story. Please note, I missed out on the first book so I have to go back and read it now that I am finished. I was still able to understand it without having read the first book. The authors gives hints/information to some of the things from the first book to give you enough to understand. At least for me, it was enough. Heroine is no foolish, helpless little Omega. She is what she has been created to be, and oh, everyone should beware, LOL. This is an Omegaverse Horror story so readers be aware. If this isn't your kind of book, don't bother reading it. However, if you are here for that reason, this is a great read from Ivy Chapman.
I missed the first book, but I have purchased it so I will go back and read it. Since I missed the first book I felt I was in the dark at times. I did like the book the demons the Alphas, Betas, and Omegas it is an interesting concept for a book. It had a little of everything death, submission, sex, and intrigue. This was an imaginative story. I liked it. I liked Aiden and Lukas, and Raina. There is lots of graphic scenes.

Good follow up to the first book. I’d have loved to rate it high, but this book was so hard for me to just immerse myself into due to all of the grammatical errors. There was almost one on every single page and it really took me out of the story. Will there be another book in this series? I don’t know.. this one ends at a decent enough place that if there isn’t another, I’d be ok, but there’s also so much more I want to know and understand that I was left wanting another book.
This book continues where the first book finished. Raina has been pulled into hell by the alpha who mated and claimed her, and to top it off he rules Hell. This is a dark and twisted book that will draw you in. We finally get some answers about Raina and her curse and then the relationship between Raina and Aiden is hot and intense. To really follow this story it is best to read Skinned Deep first. I am looking forward to read the next book in the series.
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.

Skinned Deeper: A Dark Halloween RH Omegaverse (Cursed Flesh Book 2) by D.E. Chapman is a great story to read. This is book number two in this great series that I have enjoyed reading. I recommend this story to everyone who is over 18, dark romance and fantasy in their stories.

This was a good book but it was just to short instead of making it 2 books they should of made it 1 and went on from there cause the way it is now it seems like they made so short just to make money
Raina is locked in hell but she’s not going to take it lying down. This dark Halloween story will leave you flailing well into the night. Read this with all the lights on...if you dare.

This is book 2 in the Cursed Flesh series and it picks up right where the first book ends so they must be read in order. This story is unlike anything else I've ever read, and it makes me love it even more. It's not a very long read, but it's dark and disturbing in the best way and even though the characters are pure evil I couldn't help but love them.
Well I waited for the second book and it’s worth it. This book takes up where the first book ends in hell. Aiden and the ever silent Lukas tell Raina what is happening and why. Aiden’s plan is coming along perfectly. Raina is plotting her plan of her to repay the demon for his generosity. This book is true to the first book Skinned Deep. It has love, hate and a baby. I would recommend this book for those that have a strong stomach. Now all I have to do is to wait for the third book!
