Hit love out of the park with three new adult sports romances and a brand new novella in this box set from bestselling author Carrie Aarons. The Over the Fence Box Set includes three Pitching to Win Hitting to Win Catching to Win A brand new, never-before-released novella, Fielding to Win, featuring everyone’s favorite grumpy outfielder, Parker Avery. More about the books PITCHING TO WIN What do you do when the town golden boy, who never noticed you in high school, decides to make a play for your heart? For Minka Braxton, high school has been anything but easy. After a humiliating scandal sophomore year, she's avoided the social scene and anything having to do with boys, especially of the popular variety. But with senior year approaching, Minka decides it's time to take life back into her own hands. That is, until Owen Axel, the type of guy she's always avoided, decides he wants her in his hands. Owen Axel is the definition of popular. Good looks, all-star worthy pitching arm and a former pro-athlete father make him Mitchum's town God. Returning from college for the summer, his plan is simple. Beach, booze, and beautiful girls. But one look at Minka Braxton and he knows what he wants. He just doesn't count on her not wanting him. As the summer unfolds, both must decide how much to reveal, how deep they should fall, and what might happen if they strike out. HITTING TO WIN After a lifetime of neglect and sorrow, Miles Farriston has hit rock bottom after his lying ex-girlfriend proves that no one in his life sticks around. On the outs with his friends, in jeopardy of losing his baseball career and this close to getting kicked out of Kappa Eta Sigma, Miles is forced to compete in the Greek Life dance competition. What he didn't bank on was getting bright, cheery Chloe Trabucco as a partner. Ballet, friends and her sorority. The only three things Chloe Trabucco wants to focus on and excel at. So when she is asked to compete, as a freshman, in the popular Greek dance competition, she couldn't be happier. That is, until she learns Miles is her partner. The same Miles she's had a huge crush on for half of her life, and the same guy who made it clear more than a year ago that he wants nothing to do with her. Her positivity and patience annoy him. His attitude and anger finally drive her to the breaking point. Can they hit a home run, both on and off the dance floor, or will they go down swinging? CATCHING TO WIN Kelsey O'Brien is the definition of a free spirit. She goes where she wants, when she wants, and takes to bed who she wants. And when she arrives back at Grover University after eight months on an African animal preserve, it’s her newly hunky best friend that has caught her eye. As their friendship turns physical, Kelsey begins to form feelings she swore she'd never have for anyone. But when the past she's not ready to face finds her, she must make a decision whether to stop running, or confront the truth. The first time Clint Bellows laid eyes on Kelsey, he fell hard. Too bad she looked right through him. A year and countless hours in the gym later, she's back and hardly recognizes him and his new body. After a drunken encounter takes them over the line of friendship, Clint agrees to Kelsey's proposal of a benefits-added relationship. Only he's playing for keeps, and is willing to round all of the bases trying to score the self-proclaimed gypsy. She's running from her demons. He's committed to winning her over.

Five sports stars for this amazing box set ❤❤❤!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I don't know how many books I've already read by Carrie Aarons, but whenever I start reading her new book, she always surprises me in a good way.

Where I have been the whole time that I didn't hear about these three (and now four books)?!

Because they are absolutely amazing!

"Over the Fence" isn't only the sweet romantic college sports romance...

It's much more!

Every book is emotional and talking about real-life problems and situations which made it more interesting.

The best parts of all four books are the funny parts which made me laugh out loud.

I highly recommend this box set to every single person who loves college sports romance and needs a book with funny parts!!!

P.S. I hope that Carrie will write another sports series like this one because she knows how to write it and I need more books like these.

The Over the Fence Box Set by Carrie Aarons is a box set of 3 amazing books and 1 amazing novella! I loved reading all of these stories because they were so beautiful and emotional. These books are about friendship, family issues, abusive relationships and death.

Pitching To Win

Pitching to Win is a light, easy and sweet read. I fell in love with Minka and Owen throughout this story, the struggles that they each faced, although for entirely different reason they were able to find comfort in knowing that the other understood them better. A story filled with longing, repaired relationships, friends that will stand by you no matter what and a slow growing love, Pitching to Win will grab you heart and never let go as you read.

Hitting To Win

Having finished the first book in this series, I was really looking forward to reading about Chloe and Miles most particularly after the glimpses that we caught of their relationship or lack of in the first book. I really enjoyed Miles and Chloe's story. So addictive was this story. There was something so eloquent and romantic in a tale about a troubled and lost hero and a light sweet, optimistic heroine that tries to pull him out of his self-enforced darkness and with Hitting to Win that is exactly what we got just with innumerable layers and depths to the whole plot.

Catching To Win

Catching To Win lights up the scoreboard with stubborn angst and fiery passion. Kelsey and Clint are sweetly but oppositely matched. Kelsey & Clint, with their extremely different personalities, but deep connection, made for such a fun book. You really get see their friendship change and grow through each chapter. And so do Clint and Kelsey. The grow, and become stronger versions of themselves, with one another's help. A great all round book that gives you laughs as well as heartfelt emotion.

Fielding To Win

This is a bonus story, involving Parker, a college baseball friend of the group. Parker is a dark and moody character throughout the previous three books and in his story, we learn the reason why. There was so much content in this novella and it doesn’t feel rushed or disjointed. There is some heavy stuff in this story but Carrie handles this touchy subject with respect and understanding.

The Over the Fence Box Set made for some addictive reading. I finished every book in and the novella in the space of two days. I loved getting to know the characters and their stories. Carrie Aarons has taken on many subjects and treated them with feeling and compassion. They are books with characters and stories that will not be forgotten.

description

English:
"Fielding to Win" by Carrie Aarons is the fourth book in the "Over the Fence" series. This book is a novella, romance new adult, again with another baseball player. It's written from both povs, with characters too damaged, each with a hard story behind them.

Parker Avery's life has changed too much over the last few years, a past tragedy that makes him isolate himself from everything and everyone. Brennan Raker a contractor called by Parker to fix a part of her house, but she also has her turbulent past, and both will be needed to move forward.

This story has been too emotional, both sides with stormy pasts that try to trace their lives and leave the past behind, even if the scars prevent it. With this story, I felt anger and helplessness for what they had both suffered, and I think they needed each other because they were both broken and could carry on with their lives, pulling each other.

“I had to come hold your hand. That’s what you do for the people you love.”

Both characters also had explosive chemistry that they couldn't contain at any time, and I'm grateful that Parker worried about Brennan at times if he was overdoing it.

I still needed a few more pages because the book was very interesting, and I read it too quickly because it was short, but in terms of content, it was perfect.

After reading all these books I didn't choose a particular one that I liked the most. All the stories were perfect with very important issues that gave meaning to the relationships of the protagonists. But my bad boy, Miles Farriston, can' t be taken away from me!

This collection features the complete series of three full length stories and a bonus novella in one set. This is the perfect to either start the series or read any of the books you might have missed along the way.

The stories are all centered around baseball and include a sweet and sexy hero and the women who claim their hearts. They all have very unique storylines, but they have great characters, hot chemistry and all the feels in common.

Enjoyable series!

I seriously don’t know how I missed this series by Carrie Aarons…other than to say I have been so caught up in her current novels that I missed them in her backlist.  On the plus side, I was able to read the entire series, including the new novella; Fielding To Win.

I love box sets.  I know some people don’t, as most will buy each book in the series as they release.  HOWEVER, when you want to wait for the ultimate immersive experience, or as in my case were ignorant to the series prior to release, this is the best way to binge read.  Story after story, couple after couple; living in the world of Grover University and the big leagues.

And the cherry on top of this sweet baseball sundae.  Fielding to Win. (5 stars) The story of Parker (that 4th roommate we never learned much about in the first three books other than he was a class A jerkface)  Whew! Talk about cramming a lot into a tiny little novella! Seriously though, it doesn’t feel rushed or disjointed, and there is some heavy stuff in this little gem.  Carrie handles this touchy subject with respect.  I re-read this 4th installment in this series immediately just to make sure I didn’t miss anything.

I would recommend this box set for anyone who loves diverse characters, sports, and/or the NA/YA vibe.  It was an enjoyable series to get lost in for a while and I look forward to more sports novels from Ms. Aarons.

Note: An ARC was provided by the author.

All four novels had fair doses of angst--which naturally makes the angst addict in me a very happy camper, especially since nothing was overly done or thrown in just for the sake of stirring up drama--what with one or both of the main characters dealing with issue brought about by their past or something ongoing. I appreciated the fact that the series had four different stories to tell, which isn't always an easy feat since I have come across several series that basically had the same story line with maybe a one or two things that have been changed. For this particular box set, I was able to enjoy four distinctly different tales and four equally different sets of main couples.

Among the four, I'd have to say that the novella, Fielding to Win, is my favorite (thanks to strong main characters who share somewhat similar pasts that continue to haunt them), and it takes place about five years after the events in the third novel, Catching to Win, which was my least favorite (no thanks to the heroine, even though the hero was a sweetheart who deserved better). The first book, Pitching to Win, was a good start and the second one, Hitting to Win, was definitely a great follow-up, with both having fantastic couples who grew quite a bit as their stories unfolded. So, having taken all the stories into consideration, I'm giving the Over the Fence Box Set four stars. ♥

3 full sport romance books and one novella, yes please! For some reason, I’m usually not a fan of baseball romance books but I’m definitely a fan of Carrie and a fan of her books! This box set was filled with baseball, 4 books of great characters, angst, fun moments and everything I want in a sports, new adult box set. Each story in this box set was unique from the others, which makes it great to read a series or set of books because it keeps you interested and wanting to read more from each book.

Pitching to Win - Golden boy and college baseball phenome Owen has never had a hard time getting the girls and when he meets Minka at a summer party she gives him a run for his money. What he does not understand is that she had been hurt in the past by an athlete and her walls are pretty big. With determination and grace, Owen gets closer to her and sparks fly. But can he break down all of her walls? Can she actually trust Owen not to hurt her again? I absolutely fell in love with these characters from the opening pages. Not only is the storyline filled with emotion it gives the reader a sense of young true love. Even the other characters in the book were awesome. I cannot wait for more in the series!!

Hitting to Win - We first met Miles and Chloe in book one. As Owen and Minka's best friends they were always together. But when Miles and Chloe are pushed together for a dancing competition their friendship goes from enemies, to frenemies, to a connection neither one of them understand. Will Miles' anger and resentment with his family lead him to push Chloe away? Can Chloe break Miles out of his anger and hostility and show him what love really means? Another fabulous read filled with great characters and storyline. I have enjoyed watching them grow and discover that love can conquer all.

Catching to Win - Free spirit Kelsey has never let anything get her down and stop her from living each day to the fullest and from the first time Clint saw her he was in love. Being overweight has put him in the friend zone and he will take what he can get. When Kelsey comes back from her year long trip, Clint no longer looks the same. The buff and handsome catcher now looks like the rest of the team. But will Kelsey keep him in the friend zone? Or will his secret pull her in or push her away? I fell in love with Clint from the first book and honestly could feel his self-esteem take a big hit. But when Carrie Aarons wants a character to come full circle she does it with grace and love. This pair is one that were destined for great things - no matter what road blocks are put in place.

Fielding to Win- Out of all four boys this is the one that was the emotional page turner. No one knows the hurt and anguish that Parker has gone through. They all just think he is always in a bad mood and that his anger has no reason. It is not until Brennan comes to fix the wall he destroyed, that the reader can fully understand the extent to his unhappiness. Once the secrets are revealed the two connect on so many levels. Can they find the true happiness the rest of the group has found? Can you really overcome your past to find your present? Your future? Not only did this novella perfectly combine the group as a whole it went above and beyond giving the reader a sense of family. Family does not always have to be blood.

ESP ::

ENG ::

Four couples in these three books and a novella.
Owen and Minka
Chloe and Miles
Kelsey and Clint
Brennan and Parker

Every story has characters that have depth and an interesting story to tell. They mesh well together and their love is endearing.

The novella, I loved it! Parker was a character that intrigued me and his story and Brennan’s interaction was amazing. I wished it could have been longer because it felt a little rushed at some point, but it was great.

Love the series!

I loved all the couples. I didn't lie Miles at first, I understand why he was the way he was, but it first excuse it. I did end up liking him in the end, but personally, I wouldn't have stuck around with him. Chloe was amazing though.

Clint was my favorite. He was just so pure and innocent. I wasn't the biggest fan of Kelsey at first though. Like with Miles, I understand get, but doesn't excuse it.

Parker was also a favorite of mine. He was an @$$hole in the first 3 books, but in his novella, the way he didn't hesitate to open up to Brennen, and the way he was with her was perfect. I did hate tee way she treated him when she was going through some shit. I just kept thinking that he's trying to save her and she's basically doing what his ex did. Maybe not as bad, but still bad enough.

I loved Owen and Minka. He really helped her open up more, and loved her pretty much from the start.

I'm not ready to be done with these couples though. I'll miss them. 😍

I loved going back and reading the Grover boys! My first books by Carrie Aarons.
My favorite story is Miles and Chloe. I think about them often and I just love everything about their relationship. It wasn’t easy, it wasn’t conventional. But it was them!
It was my first time reading Parker’s story, and I loved it! I do think there should be a bit of a trigger warning (domestic abuse).
Overall an amazing box set that you should definitely read if you like NA, Sports, Baseball, and/or reading!

Great!

I chose this rating because this was actually a really great series.I really enjoyed all of the characters. They did their thing on the field. They met the ones that they fell in love with, or they already knew them and fell in love. I love the way that the ladies were great friends at childhood on into adulthood. Great read! I really enjoy this series. I think the author did an amazing job at writing this series. I recommend this book to all romance and sports lovers. 😜💕

This is easily my favourite set of stories from this author.  I loved everything about it.  The happy; the perky, the downright grumpy.  Every. Single. Bit.

Character driven, multi layered and emotional.  This is all of those things.  But it's also just so heartwarming to read.

A welcome addition to my library.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I’ve already read the other 3 books in the series before this version came out so I skipped right to Parker’s story. I’m so glad we got his story. My favorite will always be Owen and Minka but these two were wonderful. Loved this book!

Pitching to Win
Minka Braxton has pretty much kept to herself since a rather humiliating scandal rocked her sophomore year of high school. She’s avoided putting herself out there, and avoids boys like the plague. However with her senior year fast approaching, she’s made the decision to let the past go and enjoy her senior year with her friends. She never thought the town golden boy would take notice.

Owen Axel is the King of their small town. Back from college for the summer he spots a girl at a party and is immediately drawn to her. Little does he know, Minka isn’t like his typical conquest, she won’t make anything easy for him. As the summer passes, and the two spend more time together, feelings get real and hard to deny. When summer comes to a close will they come to an end as well?

Owen and Minka are absolutely amazing! This couple, I just couldn't get enough of them. I love Minka's toughness and she doesn't put up with Owen's crap. And Owen, that boy, he brought out the best sides of Minka just like she brought out the best in Owen. The truly did complement each other in the best way. Absolutely loved this book!

Hitting To Win
Chloe Trabucco is a phenomenal dancer. Her goal in life is to become a member of the best ballet company in the country. It’s not a question that she will be the dancer for her sorority in the Greek dance competition at her college. What she didn’t bet on was having Miles Farriston as a partner. The same Miles who she crushed on for years, only for him to shut her down…hard.

The last thing Miles Farriston wants to do is dance in the Greek competition, however when his fraternity gives him an ultimatum, dance or be kicked out, he reluctantly agrees to the dance competition. When he finds out who his partner is, he is less than thrilled. This competition turns into more than Miles bargained for, he can’t seem to shake the ever cheery Chloe. As they spend more time together, the question is, does he want to shake her?

Rollercoaster. If somebody asked me to describe this book with one word, rollercoaster would be it. From the beginning to the end this book takes you on an emotional rollercoaster of the best kind! This book kept me guessing, would they get together, would they not, would Miles ever stop being such a jerk? This book didn’t have a dull moment, and I enjoyed every part of it!

Catching to Win -
Kelsey O’Brien graduated high school, and from there on she spent time doing what she loves best, spending time on her family’s nature preserves. After months away in Africa, she comes back to Grover to spend time with her friends. Not much has changed since she’s been gone, but one thing has, Clint Bellows. Clint has changed from the heavy-set guy she used to know and has worked hard for the body he has now. Clint has wanted Kelsey since he laid eyes on her, but she has kept him firmly in the friendzone. When one night, takes them past the friendzone Kelsey is determined to push Clint back there but with some added benefits. Little does she realize; Clint isn’t going to go back there so easily.

Oh Clint, there is just something about him that melts my heart. He is such a sweetheart, and the way he loves Kelsey, even without her knowledge, is mesmerizing. This book is one of my favorites by Carrie Aarons, because I love sports, and I love the whole friends to lover’s aspect! Well done Carrie, thank you for giving us Clint and Kelsey!

Fielding to Win –
Parker Avery is a recluse for all intents and purposes. He doesn’t like people much, but he has to deal with them on a daily basis as a professional baseball player. He has been through things that most don’t know about and that he isn’t willing to share, but when he meets Brennan Raker, she makes him want to share. Brennan finds Parker attractive, there is no denying that, but he’s the type of guy she knows she should stay away from, but there is something about him that draws her in. The two have white hot chemistry, but both have pasts that haunt them daily. When Brennan gets news that could shatter her world, can the two finally admit their feelings and navigate this news together or are they better off alone?

PARKER. I have been wanting Parker’s story since we first met him in the ‘Over the Fence’ series and this book delivered! A short novella, we get a more in depth look at Parker Avery and a better understanding of why was the way that he was. This book had some tough parts to read in such a short story, but Carrie Aarons handled it flawlessly and with grace. She didn’t shy away from the tough stuff but wrote about it in a way that was both sensitive and raw. I fell in love with Parker and Brennan’s story, and they were a great addition. Parker needed his own story, and I love that we got to see Minka, Owen, Miles, Chloe, Clint, and Kelsey in his book!

Pitching to Win

Pitching to Win is the first novel in the Over the Fence series by Carrie Aarons. My favorite part about this book is that ot made me laugh. It doesn't seem like it is everyday that a sports romance can also make you laugh!

Minka views herself as one of the outsiders. Just on the brink, but still. Her two closest friends, Chloe and Kelsey are the outgoing ones. Minka is funny, smart, and loyal and doesn't know that she is looking for someone that appreciates that and more.

Owen is the popular guy. The all-star in high school, moved on to college, trying to make it to the majors. So on a summer home from school he finds himself at a town party and finds this girl, sitting by the pool...

Both Owen and Minka have personal issues with their fathers and working through those help them grow as people, but they also get to know one another and develop new feelings they may have not known they had.

I cannot wait for more of the Over the Fence series!

Hitting to Win

Hitting to Win is the second novel in the Over the Fence series. It takes place about a year after Owen and Minka's story and follows Chloe to college.

We originally met Miles and Chloe in Pitching to Win, and the anticipation of their story was too much! The broody guys always make for a non-stop story. I couldn't put this story down.

Chloe is one of Minka's best friends and a naturally talented ballet dancer. She is the nicest person, always wants to help, and doesn't often hold a grudge.

Miles is quite the opposite. Ever since he found out his ex was cheating on him and was only with him for his family's money, trusting hasn't been easy. He makes assumptions about Chloe and says very mean things to her before he even gets to know her and they've known each other since elementary school.

I loved both of these characters so much! They were so different, but went together so well. Even though Chloe us super nice, she's not a push over. Even though Miles has a rough exterior and is in a dark place, he's a totally funny guy. I cannot wait for more from this group!

Catching to Win

Catching to Win is the third and final full length novel of the Over the Fence series. I loved this story, but I have to admit, I was not enjoying Kelsey for a good portion of the book. I absolutely loved Clint though!

Clint is best friends with Owen and Miles and has been in love with Kelsey since she first walked into his life two years before. While she was away in Africa, they became best friends, always talking and chatting with each other when she could.

Kelsey is best friends with Chloe and Minka, since elementary school. She is a free spirit, loves sex, doesn't believe in love, and doesn't do relationships. But what happens when things progress?

While it took a while, I began to like Kelsey more and really just couldnt get over Clint's character. He was sweet, thoughtful, and even though he was the nicest person ever, he wasn't a push over.

I am excited for the box set and Parker's novella!

Fielding to Win

I was so excited to find out that this box set contained a novella for Parker. He was always so broody in the other novels of this series that you had to wonder what his story was.

I really enjoyed this story and meeting Brennan. Parker is a sweetheart that had some personal issues that he never addressed. Brennan is a strong woman. Stronger than she even knows.

Thank you, Carrie Aarons for a wonderful series!!

I am a huge fan of Carrie Aarons and was so excited to see this series come out in a box set because *GASP* I have actually not read any of the books before. Over the Fence Box Set includes 3 full length novels and a very special novella for a very special man. If you are a NA Sports Romance reading machine- this is going to be so up your alley!

PITCHING TO WIN
Minka and Owen's story is almost like reading about a battle. Minka vows to not give in to popular Owen's sexy and sweet charm while on the flip side Owen vows to show Minka just how much he cannot get her off of her mind. With so much baggage, can the golden boy and the jaded girl end up being more?

So, I might have swooned a bit in this book. Owen has such a unique charm that makes it hard not to completely fall for him and his interactions with his close friends and Minka just makes him so freaking hot. The story in general was well thought out and created great characters, which HINT HINT will be in the next couple of books as well. I freaking love that. All in all this was a wonderful read about overcoming insecurities and forgiveness!

HITTING TO WIN
Miles is a complete douche in the beginning of this book, seriously he treats his friends awful and takes it mostly out on bright eyed Chloe who has had a crush on him for years. When the two are forced to work together, will sparks fly or will it end up breaking one or both of them?

Seriously I 100% disliked Miles in the beginning. Carrie Aarons did a great job of explaining his actions and not just making it ok that he did all of those things because he was hurting. This to me was huge in the story and not just brushing away issues, but sweet Chloe is just the one to help him with it, but also not be a doormat. This book was enemies to lovers like the best of them and it was engaging and hot and sweet and frustrating all at different times. I also loved the story line and how thoughtfully it was created!

CATCHING TO WIN
Kelsey is kind of flaky and a bit self absorbed. She loves sex but definitely has standards. Clint is her BFF and she found herself being able to open up to this amazing and loving man, but only through friendship. When she returns after a year sabbatical she is shocked to find her BFF SUPER HOT and buff and even more shocked to find she is insanely attracted to him. But can the commitment-phobe actually have feelings for the romantic Clint? Read and find out! ;)

This book was so good. I will admit Kelsey was not my favorite person in the beginning, but once you got to know her it makes a lot more sense. Clint from the very beginning was a leading man I could get behind and root for. There is a LOT going on in this book but it was sweet and touching and the chemistry between the two was OFF the freaking charts!

FIELDING TO WIN
Parker freaking Avery-- FINALLY we get his story and why this man is the definitely of a grouchy gus. I loved the other guys in the series, but Parker is definitely leading the pack even with just having a novella. I cannot recommend enough reading this!

All in all, if NA Sports Romances are your jam, this is a MUST read for you. You get different types of romance with each of the books, but when put together it creates something special!

PS: Thank you to Carrie Aarons for allowing me an advanced copy of the box set to voluntarily read and review honestly! <3

Over the Fence-Boxed Set
This 4 book series begins with the words: “You know when people say they would never, ever want to go back to high school? That it’s the most vicious, awkward period of life? Those whiners have nothing on me”. Thus begins a journey of six high schoolers who make the transition from high school angst to college discovery. Three girls, who overcome adversity and insecurity to become strong, confident women. Three boys, who grow from cocky, high school baseball players, to accomplished, well-rounded men.

Pitching to Win: The story of Minka and Owen. She has been taken advantage of in high school by cruel classmates. She has a difficult time trusting, and Owen is the first guy who is able to break through her defenses. As a college baseball player, he has insecurities he is dealing with to succeed in a highly competitive sport, even if his outside persona is happy-go-lucky. The two of them together create a love story dealing with finding strength to heal from past hurts.

Hitting to Win: The story of Chloe and Miles-best friends of Minka and Owen. Chloe is light and positivity, a budding ballerina. Miles is dark anger and negativity, destined for greatness in baseball. Their story is Chloe bringing Miles into the light, without him breaking her with his darkness. A story on how every hurt can be overcome with deep, unselfish love.

Catching to Win: The story of Kelsey and Clint, also best friends of the two other couples. There is a twist to their story that is very rare (but I won’t give it away). Clint goes from Kelsey’s overweight, overlooked best friend, to her toned, confident protector and lover. Kelsey transforms from a girl scared to commit, someone unafraid to give and trust in Clint’s unrelenting love to a girl who overcomes trying circumstances and becomes the woman she was destined to be.

Fielding to Win: This is a bonus story, involving Parker, a college baseball friend of the group. Parker is dark and moody throughout the previous three books, and in his story, you learn the reason why. Parker begins a passionate affair with his contractor, Brennan, who also has a dark past. Together, they forge a relationship with each other as he mends his relationship with his previous teammates.

All books can be read as stand-alones, but read together, they are powerful and all encompassing. Carrie Aarons has taken on many touching subjects and treated them with feeling and compassion. They are books with characters and stories that will not be forgotten. I highly recommend reading all four books.

Loved some...liked others...but good sports box set overall.

Here are my quick, separate reviews on all 3 books and 1 novella.

Pitching to Win - full 5 stars and why I gave the box set a 5 star rating! I loved this book with its sassy, but somewhat haunted female lead and cocky, popular, typical athlete male lead that needs to be taken down a peg or two. Their love wasn't easy, but I felt that it was real and they actually dealt with it head on rather than draw out the angst. I absolutely loved Minka and Owen!!

Hitting to Win - 4 stars. I liked this one as each one grew during the story, but hate f**king is not my most favorite storyline. Miles was a little too angry for me and Chloe was WAY too forgiving.

Catching to Win - 4 stars. Again, I liked this one and it was body image shaming with a twist. I'm not sure Kelsey deserved Clint, but their relationship building was sweet.

Fielding to Win - 4.5 stars. Only reason it wasn't 5 stars was I thought the story could have taken the opportunity to delve into the importance of mental health therapy. Both characters are haunted by their abusive pasts. But finding each other is their salvation. I probably hadn't been clamoring for Parker's book after reading the first three, but so glad we got to see Parker and Brennan together. Parker five years later is giving Owen a run for his money!!

I liked that each book really was its own story with completely different story lines. So although connected due to the underlying friendships and timelines - they were truly four different stories.

I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.
