What happens when you meet Mr. Right at exactly the WRONG time?

Brooke Collins thought she had everything she wanted. Since relocating from her small town to work as an Oncology Nurse at one of Manhattan’s most respected children’s hospitals, she’s worked hard to make a life for herself in the big city. When a life-threatening emergency takes place back home, every choice she has made in the past three years is suddenly called into question.

As a firefighter, Austin Jensen knows how to handle a fire, but that doesn’t help when dealing with old flames. When his ex comes back to town and old feelings begin to resurface, he begins to wonder if the connection between them is worth risking getting burned again.

Sparks fly in this sweet, second chance romance as Brooke finds new reasons to stay in Lawson Heights and leave her life in the city behind while Austin remains unsure of what their future may be. Should they fan the flames or douse them with water and walk away for good?

The No Brides Club is a fun, sassy, and heart-warming series featuring sophisticated women and the men they fall for.

No Time for Goodbyes by Christina Butrum is the seventh novel in the No Bride Club series. Brooke Collins works at Children’s Hospital in Manhattan where she works in the pediatric oncology unit. She is also a member of the No Brides Club where the women are not letting love get in the way of their careers. Brooke receives a late night call from her ex-boyfriend, Austen Jenson asking her to come home because her mother, Charlotte has been rushed to the hospital. Brooke has not been home in three years since she made the decision to leave and broke it off with Austin. Sparks are still present between Brooke and firefighter, Austin. As Brooke waits by her mother’s bedside, she begins to wonder about her future. Should Brooke give Austin a second chance or douse the flames forever? No Time for Goodbyes can be read as a standalone for those new to the series. I found this story clean, sweet romance story with kind, realistic characters. Brooke has avoided home for three years, but now is she back in Lawson Heights, Iowa. She regrets not spending more time with her mother and her old feelings for Austin are still present. She loves her job at Children’s Hospital, but Brooke is not sure that is enough to keep her in the city. I enjoyed reading this engaging story that I devoured within a couple of hours. No Time for Goodbyes is charming story that will leave you smiling.

This is a sweet, clean romance that you won't want to miss! This second chance at romance trope is the story of Brooke and Austin. They have a past. They were really good together, but one of them wanted more out of life than what the small town in Iowa had to offer. When a medical emergency reunites them, the pull is still there. Should they give in or fight the attraction? Will that small town life be enough this time around?
Butrum's romances are just what the heart needs-- they are like dreams come true!
I was given a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

Such a sad job to work in. So much more heartbreaking now that I’m a mother.

Extremely well written. Color me impressed. A very sweet story of love and rocky times and the pull of both big city dreams and small town love.

This is the first book I've read in the No Brides Club series, but it was a lot of fun. Christina Butrum is an author I think of when I need a sweet romance that happens to take place in a small town. She's amazing fitting a wonderful story and characters in a book you don't want to put down.

Brooke is living her dream as an oncology nurse in a children's hospital and loves her job. She move away from her small town home to do what she's loving now. Love isn't on her mind and she's happy with her friends in the No Brides Club.

Austin is a firefighter who works hard to keep his small town safe. He just never expects to have to call someone he really loved to come home when tragedy strikes. Seeing her again for the first time in years, will definitely be interesting.

No Time For Goodbyes is an emotional story that definitely had tears in my eyes a time or two. She made me feel for Brooke, because I can't imagine seeing my mother in the same situation. Especially being a nurse and knowing how bad things can get.

Austin and Brooke definitely still care for each other. I loved how Austin was still there for Brooke even after how everything had gone down before Brooke left. She really needed support and he didn't think twice to help. It was interesting to slowly see them find each other again. Brooke also slowly finds her love for this small town again.

If you're looking for a really beautiful second chance romance, definitely pick this one up! The No Brides Club is definitely a group of friends you want to read about!

Brooke Collins left her home in a small Iowa town to pursue her dream career as an RN in New York City’s best children’s oncology hospital. When she receives an emergency message from Austin Jensen, the man she has loved since grade school, saying that her mother has been rushed to the hospital, she catches the first flight home.

Home...Brooke has built her life in New York. She has a great career and close friends. She is torn between needing to be home taking care of her mother and needing to be in New York to take care of “her children” who are battling cancer. And then there is Austin...Her heart has never forgotten him.

No Time for Goodbyes is a wonderful second chance romance. Christina Butrum has a talent for character and storyline development that makes her books a joy to read. No Time for Goodbyes is Book 7 in the No Brides Club series, but it can be read as a stand alone book.

I received a ARC from the author and publisher in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts are my own.

Making life altering changes is something we are all guilty of. Making those same choices and seeing how they have impacted those you left behind is not always pleasant. Regret and guilt fills her heat as she returns home after a tragedy. This is one of those books that is an easy emotional read and so fulfilling. It's about restoring trust and opening up to love. It's about the love and support of friends especially like the No Brides Club. I love these feel good reads and honestly it's like a reset button. It's what I call my unicorn and rainbows type of read that leaves me all warm and fuzzy. This author does every day characters with every day issues with love just around the corner and sometimes through the haze.

Christina Butrum has once again written a sweet and from the heart romance with “No Time for Goodbyes”.

Brooke has life all figured out until she must head back home. When things feel like they are upside down, she is able to find some stability with Austin.

In the midst of making these decisions, it seems like they were always meant to be, but is she willing to uproot her life, abandon the No Brides Club and start life with Austin. You will have to read to find out.

This was my first read in The No Brides Club, so it can definitely be read as a stand alone. However, I am anxious to read the others !!!!

I have read many of Butrum’s books and all of them have been great !!!!

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for fair and honest review.

Sweet and heartfelt second Chesnee love story filled with drama, memories and great characters. One negative for me was the main heroine, pediatric oncology nurse, Brooke Collins. I was very disappointed with her lack of faith and trust in those she claimed to love and/or care about. She seemed very artificial and selfish to me. I did not really connect with her, and I'm a former NYC corporate professional myself.
I completely fell in love with Austin, and truly feel like Brooke doesn't deserve him, but I'm happy for him!
I also did not realize how young these characters are; you don't find out until the very end that they are only 23 years old. Perhaps that explains the disconnect I felt, since I'm 50.

4.5 Perfectly Sweet Stars!

I have not read any of the No Brides Club books, but that didn't matter as this one held it's own and I didn't feel like I was lost in the story.

Brooke's story is understandable, she wants to break away from her small town upbringing and make it big in the City (and let's face it NYC is a BIG one). Her work as a Pediatric Oncology Nurse is commendable, the way she cares for her patients can be felt through the pages. There is nothing wrong with being focused on your career and your dreams, except when maybe your dreams are really different than you thought...

Austin ~ I just loved how laid-back he was, yet how he wore his heart on his sleeve. He had to let Brooke go to chase her dreams, but that didn't mean he stopped loving her. I liked that he was honest and caring, that he was someone you know you can count on and most of all that he didn't give up!

This was a clean, sweet read that was worth every moment!

Austin and Brooke is a sweet story that warms the heart. After years of being apart a tragic event brings these two back together. The feelings they’ve both buried within themselves rise to the surface and truths are told. Is it possible to mend what’s been broken and find a way back to the love they had before?
I liked Austin and Brooke. The were very easy to relate to. I’m so glad I read their lovely tale. (4.5⭐️)

I absolutely love Christina Butrum’s books. Everyone has characters you will fall in love with. Brooke and Austin were childhood friends who fell in love. Everyone thought they would be forever. Some things may not works out or may take time.
Brooke left for her dreams....Austin stayed for his. Brooke went home for her mom....going home seemed to be just what she needed, can this be the beginning they need to be complete?

Brooke & Austin grew up together & were an item until Brooke decided that there was nothing for her in her little town & moved to the big city to become a Pediatric Oncology Nurse. Her heart would break when one of the children she took care of died, yet she'd be full of joy when others got well and got to go home, but either way it was tough saying Good Bye to them. She had all she thought she wanted until Austin called and told her she had to get home right away. She finally got out of him that her mother was being taken to the hospital after having a serious stroke. Brooke was so worried, she wouldn't get to the hospital in time to say Good Bye to her mother if she passed, yet she was torn because she didn't want to leave her kids, one who was dying at the hospital where she worked. She knew she belonged home with her mother. Got to the hospital while she was in surgery. Miracles do happen. Brooke realized where he really belonged in life. This was a wonderful, yet heart wrenching story. Now I need to go back and read the others in this series.

No Time for Goodbyes
The No Brides Club, Book 7
By: Christina Butrum, Sweet Promise Press
Narrated by: Carrie Coello

This is my first Christina Butrum story, and I really enjoyed it. It's a sweet, second chance romance that also gives Brooke a second chance at her life. Not that her life in Manhattan isn't a good one. Brooke is a pediatric oncology nurse, and though she loves her job, it definitely takes an emotional toll on her. When she receives a phone call that her mother has suffered from a stroke, she is on the next plane home to be by her side. Now there, holding her hand, and being with her ex-boyfriend Austin, she is able to re-evaluate her life, her values and what she wants to do. I love small town stories, and Brooke is the perfect character to come back from the big city and enter back into the no secrets, everyone knows everything world. She is a great character, slightly flawed, and confused, and I love how she works through her life plan to figure out what is best for her. Austin is the perfect book boyfriend, always present and up front. The support from her No Brides Club friends just is icing on the cake!

Carrie Coello is a wonderful narrator and I love how she brought this to life. She gave Brooke a slightly jaded, yet very worried attitude when she first arrives, We can feel the push-pull of her very different lives and Coello lets us feel her conflict. I also love her many voices. It's a great performance.

This story was a highly emotional second chance romance. When a medical emergency forces Brooke to return home, she discovers she’s not as over the feelings she had for the boy she left behind as she thought she was. Austin knows he’s never stopped loving Brooke, but he’s afraid that if he gives her his heart again, she’s just going to break it like the last time. I loved watching this pair as they navigated all their leftover feelings as well as the new ones that were developing. I adored the way Austin looked out for Brooke and her mother. It was so easy to see how much he still cared for her. It bugged me a little how concerned Brooke was that the No Brides Club members would stop being her friends if she got involved in a relationship. That didn’t seem to jive with the other stories in the series I’ve read.

I was all set to give this book 5 stars UNTIL the last chapter. The ending felt rushed and, while it doesn't end in a cliffhanger, the storyline seemed unfinished.
This is the story of Brooke and Austin who were childhood and high school sweethearts until their paths diverged. Brooke wanted to be a nurse and move to a large city while Austin wanted to stay in their home town as a fireman.
Brooke had been gone for 3 years (read: never came back home) when an emergency phone call brings her running.
Reuniting with Austin is both painful and awkward. As the medical crisis passes, Brooke has to make an important decision concerning her future. Remain in Small Town, Iowa or pursue her career in New York City? Inquiring readers will want to know!

** Audiobook review ** I was given a copy of this audio book for an honest review. Carrie Coello did a phenomal job narrating this book! I really enjoyed this sweet, clean, second chance romance. The story gives you a very small glimpse into the life of a pediatric oncology nurse. Kudos to Christina Butrum for diving into this topic. Such a heartwarming story that has moments of sadness but focuses more on the positive. This is book #7 in the No Brides Club series but can be read as a stand alone. This was my first introduction to the series & I honestly can’t wait to read the other books in the series. I highly recommend listening to this audiobook (or read it if you aren’t a fan of audiobooks)

This newest book in this series is definitely a 5+ IMO! I was drawn into this story from the first pages as we see Brooke perform at her nursing job. A very touching start to this story that keeps you engrossed through every page. Great character development that will touch your heart with every encounter. When Brooke received a call from Austin about her mother she is forced to return home and address some issues that she left behind, least of which is her relationship with him. What has happened since she left home? A great addition that will fill some hours of enjoyable reading.

A beautiful, poignant story of a woman torn between her career and family obligations after her mom has a stroke and she has to fly home from Manhattan to her small, hometown in Iowa. She has to face her past and Austin, the man she left behind for the city. She also has to do some soul searching as to what she really wants or needs. I really liked the characters in this story and returning to the No Brides Club in Manhattan. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

This was my first book of the No Brides Club series. I love second chance romance, and I love when it's a second chance with someone whom you grew up with. Brooke comes back home from NY because her mother becomes ill and Austin is there when she gets to the hospital where her mother is being treated. Love always finds its way back when your feelings for one another are still there. Now I have to read the others in this No Brides Club. Christina is a wonderful Author whose books I will always read. They are page turners you can't put down and leave you wanting more more more!!!!

Didn't really care for this one. It had the potential to be good as the premise was good but the heroine was selfish and pretty much nasty! How she became a Oncology Nurse at a pediatric hospital is beyond me! It seems like she'd be more caring but she was so mean to her ex (who was fantastic, by the way!) and her family. She rarely visited her family and it took an emergency to get her to go back home. Austin - the ex- on the other hand, was a great guy and I don't know why he waited around for her. In my opinion, she wasn't worth it!
