Not sure I agree with this theory

Well, let's see. I didn't care for this book for several reasons. Let's start with...
1. THE TITLE: And how often the author calls Watts the Silver Fox. I find this utterly disgusting! Why? Because a Silver Fox is either a). A BEAUTIFUL dog-like wild animal that is rarely seen; or b) a very handsome elderly gentleman with pottery bright, shiny, silver hair. BUT, there's more to being handsome than just looks ... Making Watts UGLY AS SIN!

Chris Watts does NOT DESERVE to be given any type of title that shines a positive light on him, and calling him a Fox makes it appear that he's some sort of God to be fawned over by women. SMART WOMEN know better! This man is a sociopath! Nothing more...and especially not a silver Fox!

2. TOO MANY ASSUMPTIONS: The theory the author reaches is not based, IMO, on scientific fact. Sure, HE says that the theory is sound, and HE explained away why the drugs don't show up in the autopsy, but his CV DOESN'T show a degree in chemistry. He also gives no reference for proof that what he says is true, that he consulted with anyone about it, or gave a link to any papers written on the subject. So we're just supposed to take the word of someone who would not pass the criteria to testify as an expert witness on that subject in court, and believe BECAUSE HE SAID SO, his theory of why the drugs didn't show up on the tox report? Sorry but this juror can't do that

3. LACK OF REFERENCES: Somewhere in the book he stated that he could write a book in two hours. Sure! ANYONE can write FICTION in two hours. But this is TRUE CRIME and details are important. Starting out, this book gave link to documents that helped us see what the author was talking about. It turned out, ALL we really get to see is the THIRD CONFESSION which is handwritten. And although the author has us "see" that some writing may be darker or larger, we can't tell the difference.

As for the rest, there may be some photos, etc, but not too many more documents and surely not the BIG ONE...the Discovery Documents, which is mentioned on almost every page. So we can't go and look at what the book says, see who said it, and in what context. We just have to believe it's in there.I

I just want to apologize because i know the author doesn't like negative reviews, or those without examples, but maybe he doesn't understand that revising on the kindle after reading, you can't save a draft to go to the book, copy something, then come back and paste it, because kindle doesn't save drafts. Heck, I can't even double tap on the space where I type my review or my entire review disappears. But i did report errors with instructions to report them to you, so hopefully they do!

Excellent Book On What Really Happened In The Tragic Watts Mirders

Excellent! As are the other books in this series! Boy was I way off on what I thought happened in this case originally. I’ve come a long way since starting this series of books (I’ve read a good 7-8 books of Nicks on this case) and what I thought happened. So glad I did to to know what really (most likely) happened. I was pointing fingers at everybody and swore that Chris Watts must have had help in doing all this to his family. I was wrong, he did this all by himself I’m sure if it now. I’m positive of that now. I love the way the author explains everything so thoroughly and the reasons why he also thinks this is so. He is very food at explaining what really had to have happened here. The author having a crime background helps and he def knows a lot more than I thought I knew that’s for sure! 😳 it’s all very interesting while being so tragic. Most importantly I feel better knowing [and I’m sure others will to] that the little girls were not harmed or anything before their deaths. God only knows but they were most likely given a toxic doze of Oxi before bed, went to sleep and just never woke up. While still tragic it’s much better than the scenario of them waking back up and being alive on the way to his work or that Bella pleaded for her life.. If you don’t believe it read the series and then think again and judge for yourself.. But the author of book, Nick makes a lot of sense, about a lot of things that happened here and I feel better for reading this and getting his take on things. I thank the author for making it make sense, not that it ever makes sense to murder your family obviously, but you know.. well, just read the books and you’ll see.. Thank you, Nick. I’m on to #2 in this series now.

I am a big fan of Mr. van der Leek’s crime analysis. I don’t have to necessarily agree with every theory he puts out, but I always find something of value, some critical insight, and often many insights in each of his books and videos. This book does not disappoint.

I am not convinced that Watt’s killed the children with an overdose of oxy as Mr. van der Leek proposes - because it just rings true to me that Bella begged her father not to hurt her. I don’t know why he would have said that if it didn’t happen. But it is possible. Anything is possible with this Watts character. Can’t trust anything that comes out of his mouth.

Buttons up nicely

To the reviewers who attack the perceived author’ character, please.... just let it go. Or, at least take grudges where they belong. Some of us readers/audio book listeners just care about the writing and information shared. Of course most Watts case followers already know the information within. I, myself, appreciated a linear reminder of how this all unfolded and how it ultimately ended. No bs conspiracies or fantasy court trials. Just easy to understand facts and even more learning. Nice job Nick!

This was an entertaining read, since NVDL always presents links to follow for more information.
I will strongly suggest, however, to go to TrueCrimeRocketScience (Nick's website) and follow the case there, after reading the book. I am happy that NDVL joined the YouTube sleuths and has his own channel because it looks like YouTube has turned into Watts Central by a bunch of people who want to make quick cash out of a disastrous case. NVDL's channel is totally different and you can feel confident there more so than in the drama channels.

Awesome read

Well thought out and researched information. I believe the evidence this research presents is definitely plausible and more believable than Chris Watt's confessions. Good writing also.

I find it interesting that Chris kills his whole family and acts like he doesn't know their where-abouts. He doesn't look or even sound believable. He's exactly where he should be, in prison.
