From natural birth at home to unexpected birth in the outdoors to planned Caesareans, these touchingly personal and funny tales illustrate how the method of arrival is less important than the love the child finds when it finally arrives.

The title really explains it all, this is a collection of birth stories. The author has tried to compile a huge range of birth stories, from the high intervention, the tales of typical births from years past, the tales of completely natural out in the middle of the bush births, to successful vbacs. It's a great compilation that is sometimes empowering but other times rather confronting. It's interesting having learnt more about the cascade of intervention and wondering if at least a few of these births may have had different outcomes. Either way it is interesting hearing others stories and how they coped with it.
