Badass....as in Sidone totally is. Her handling her axes...seriously badass. She definitely protects what’s hers...and her favorite nephew😂. I love that Sidone is a female alpha and that she got her own book. Just as driven and all business as the male alphas. And she has the same hilariously honest personality that they do too, and it totally cracks me up. Kade is the Hordesman’s chef and baker of the all famous “cookies”, and the perfect omega for Sidone. He is no pushover either, and can definitely take care of himself...so they’re like two badasses. She has the same effect on him that other alphas have on omegas. He is so funny too, because he is all in...pretty sure it’s the “cotton candy” that really does the trick. These two take off together to take down the shooter that tries to kill Terror aka her favorite nephew, her words🤣. This is how their book starts and I loved this storyline.
This was a safe read, no om or ow shenanigans. Just a really good storyline, that is hilarious with a lot of heat, cookie and cotton candy references *wags eyebrows*....oh and purring 😉. A badass female alpha that is referred to as a warrior princess by her protective omega. We get to see a lot of our favorite characters from the previous books. I so love this world that Milana Jacks has created, and yes she already knows that I always want more. Cause you know...I’m subtle like that. This series is just so damn addicting. Next book please.
I really liked Sidone's story. I have been rooting for her to find her own omega for a while and for her to get her revenge. I just wish it was a full length so that it could have been gone into in more depth. This is the first time we get the intimate workings of an Alpha female and an Omega male (that is heterosexual) and I feel like it was barely touched on. I think it was good for being a novella again I just wished for more maybe even something outside of her heat....is the Unidick as you called it everytime? Inquiring minds want to know!! LOL
Omg Milana Sidone and Kade's story was so exciting and erotic i couldn't put it down it was fantastic she is the alpha female and knows what she wants and went for it Thank you for writing this alphas book it is definitely worth reading this book. You won't be disappointed
Rating: 4 stars Steam: 3 flames Genre: Sci-fi / Omegaverse Romance ***** Sidone is Terror’s Aunt and the King's sister and she is the epitome of badass! A strong Alpha female that wields axes like some of us wield pens. She is definitely a protector!
At the end of Terror’s book, Sidone took off to find the person responsible for the attack on Tabby and Terror...Kade, our fabulous chef/sniper, took off to find the shooter too. These two meet up and discover they have more in common than an enemy.
Sidone is a great heroine and I thought she was fantastic. After all she had been through it was nice to see her get an HEA. Kade is a character too, even as an omega, he was still all male...a fantastic addition to the series. I can’t wait to read Fever’s book, so this is going to be short and sweet!
Enjoying this series, these characters, their amazing world, fantastic characters, and storyline that will have you up all night gobbling up books!
This novel was not what I expected. I have been waiting for Sidone's story since her character was introduced in the Vemlox story during the original Hordesman series. Sidone's novel is fast paced with lots of action and a little bit of back story of what brought Sidone to Earth. I was hoping, like many readers, to get more information on what happened to Sidone when she came to Earth as an ambassador for Regha. There are a few glimpses, however not enough to explain everything that is going on in this series. I enjoyed the banter between Kade and Sidone as their battle for relationship dominance and understanding of their different dynamics and cultures. I hope there is more Sidone and Kade in future novels of this series.
This was a hard one for me to rate. In previous books, I have loved Sidone as a character and was excited to see her finally featured in a book with a male Omega. What is it like to be a coddled, rare female Regha Alpha who kicks total ass and takes names with the best of them, but you're still treated like something too precious to live freely?
However.
This one lacked some of the magic of the previous books. There's still plenty of chuckle-worthy lines, but that raunchy Alpha magic just isn't there with her like it is with all of the guys.
“Spectacular ass,” I purr. Chewing stops. All eyes watch me. “Well, isn’t it fucking spectacular?” “Indeed,” Tayseer says. “I haven’t heard you purr since Arkin’s birth.” “Because she only loves me,” Arkin says, “and everyone else, besides Kade, isn’t worthy of hearing it.”
OMG, Arkin. ♥︎
A female Alpha would be different, of course, but I wanted something...more from her. Some of it may be a length issue, but I felt like this was a little flat. I wanted more of her story, more about what happened when she and Dreikx came through the gate, more that's happened to her since after mentioning the mental after effects of her captivity. Just...more.
Enjoyable story, Kade is a total cutie, and it is full of fun interactions. I just wanted more dirty laughs, I guess?
PS. Dreikx needs a story. Let's have some other species' Alphas in on the fun. Please and thank you.
I have never read a female Alpha story, but I felt early on in the series, when we first met Sidone, that her story just had to be told.
This was a beautiful read and a good way of easing into a female Alpha/male Omega dynamic.
The reason I'm not giving it more than 3 stars though, is because I still get confused during fight scenes. I feel too detached when reading them, and I find them too superficial, like there is too much going on "behind me" that I could really do with actually seeing and feeling. I find it too superficial. Like when Sidone goes off to fight 25 males, there was nothing, no action apart from her entry, and at the same time her Omega is in a shoot down in the hotel, but that's not really detailed either, there's too many questions left unanswered and I feel like most was just swept over until suddenly she's back and I'm left with a "what just happened" feeling.
This is something I feel has increased since Hunger's book, I did not have any of these problems in his book or the main original series. I think maybe the author should go back and re-read how she used to write her war scenes etc, because I think something has been lost since those days.
This was extraordinarily awesome wonderful and captivating and entertaining and delicious and oh so funny!!! From now on I am a very great fan of Alpha Horde Females and Omega Males who can handle a pan and a gun. Great characters, captivating story development and interesting insides of the dynamic between Alpha Sidone and Omega Kade. You can’t leave your upbringing behind you but you can handle it differently by yourself! Thanks a lot!
Loved that this one gave us a female alpha. Sidone was bad ass & her omega Cade was such a sweetheart. Plenty of action, some laughs & a few dead bad guys. The tease of Sotay’s story has me ready for the next book.
After waiting so long for Sidone to get her own story, I’m quite disappointed that it was abbreviated in length compared to the the guys. The story, itself, was a great story. Kade and Sidona together were great. The backstory that could have been told here of Sidone coming to the US and what happened to her would have been interesting. Also, learning something about Kade, himself would have been worth knowing.
When I read the blurb that said if I wasn’t sure about reading a Female Alpha story that it would be okay to skip right to the next book in the series, I didn’t realize how true it was. And it’s a shame. Sidone should have been an integral part of this series. It’s not as if this is a whips and chains kind of Omegaverse. None of the alphas treat their omegas as less. Sidone didn’t do this either. Kade was allowed to be his own man, not a touchy freely person who was subservient in every way. None of the omegas in this omegaverse to date have really been subservient. So the need to shorten this story compared to the others seems odd.
I’ll be honest, I was hesitant to read about a male omega. I was worried that the male lead would be too submissive and or weak. This is not the case with this story. The male mc, Kade, was strong, built, funny, possessive, etc. very dreamy. Loved him! Also, I was worried that Sidone would be too alpha for me but she was great. She’s definitely an alpha with aggressive tendencies but she and kade fit perfectly. His flirty personality was just right and his protectiveness was perfect. There was no personality conflicts between the two mcs that drew away from their relationship or any silly misunderstandings. There of course is a villain but to me, there wasn’t that much conflict and some of the action takes place offstage, and the story almost seemed a bit rushed. For that, I’ve taken off a star. I love this series so I’m off to read the next book! Happy reading 📚❣️
While following a shooter Kane triggers Sidones heat. The timming is bad, she not only has the shooter, but the guy who orders him as well as an old vendetta to take care off before she even thinks about the future. But things change when her heat hits and they need to fight thier enemies during her transition. It was interesting how the Alpha/Omega dynamic is like when the roles are reversed. Sidone has been a interesting character since she was introduced and im glad she finally got a story of her own. Part of a series this book can be read as a stand-alone but is better if read as the series because eash book is only a portion of a larger story. I read this book in exchange for an honest review.
I want more! Kade and Sidone need a sequel of substantial length! They're like two cats. One moment they're hissing at each other, the next they're licking and snuggling with each other. She finished all her missions. What's she going to do with her life She's not one to sit around making babies. There's an adventure here, I just know it if you'd only write it, Milana.
And tell me why there aren't more stories about alien women with human men, or aliens with aliens. I could and do enjoy reading new and different ways aliens procreate. I think this would be a rich minefield of ideas and creativity. The writer would get to build their own system and society, norms and values. Think about it writers; stretch yourselves and entertain your loyal readers.
I was really hoping for more from this book. I really enjoyed Sidone when she first made an appearance in the Alpha Horde series. But was just not that impressed with her here, or perhaps it was just the story that didn't really do it for me. There didn't seem to be the heat between her and Kade that we've seen between most the other couples in the Alpha/Horde(smen) books. There were also too many bad guys, and not enough explanation to go with them really. Not much background at all here actually. It just left everything feeling a bit confusing and kind of flat. Still, a decently entertaining read, just not all that I had expected.
What a fantastic twist on a common trope! It was so much fun to read about a female Alphahole who finds her own Omega! Sidone is so focused and dedicated to her goals, exactly like the male Alphaholes in the series, lol, but she is also unaware of the nuances in the English language, which leads to some funny dialogue. I enjoyed reading this one, read it in one sitting, and totally got where she was coming from. Her Omega was strong and I didn't get how he was classified as such, but they still made a weirdly cute couple.
This author writes AMAZING male alohas. But her female alpha is still slightly submissive. And the sex is awkward... Which messes with the mind. I feel like this was a good attempt but just shy of understanding a Dom female. Reading it made me wish she acted more like male alphas towards her omega, but she never did. And his thoughts were nothing like any other omegas, except when they were and they didn't fit. It was all or nothing and very uneven.
Sidone is a hordeswoman. She is an aggressive warrior. Kade is a human omega. Together they chase after the assassin who attempted to murder a female human omega. Sidone is strong. She is ferocious with her enemies. She takes command of Jade and makes him her mate. I like the action and the steamy scenes. It is nice to see a woman in control.
This version of male omega and female alpha is unlike any I have read/listen to. I love this version. The way they come together using both male and female parts that DON’T leave you scratching your head. Sidone is so strong and singleminded I didn’t think she would give Kade a chance. He was such a perfect omega for her. I’m also glad they are a rare pair. Hope to see a couple more like them in the future.
Not often we get a romance from an Alpha Females perspective. Ever since Sidonie was introduced several books back we've been interested to see how her story would go if she were to get an Omega. As such this story is pretty good... well worth the read i think. Esp if you read the previous books
I really wanted to see if the female alpha might change my mind about the series but nope. I found this book actually difficult to understand. I’m disappointed since I loved His Beast Mate so much.
After the other horde books and the first two in thus series I was let down. The dynamic between these two was weird and confusing. I didn’t feel the alpha female at all. They both wanted to be in charge and be subservient at the same time and it just made it wishy washy.
Ahhhh!! I LOVED Sidone SOOOOOOOO much. I have loved all of the Horde books, but Sidone is by far my favorite. Both her and Kade are hilarious. “Uh-oh. I don’t know how to eat this pu$$*.” Has got to be my favorite part of the whole book. I mean I was in tears over most of Kade’s thoughts. I can’t recommend this book enough. BUY BUY BUY NOW!!!
I love the Ragha aliens! I have especially loved hearing about Sidone and her strength of character. She is decisive in sharing her love, is a fiercely dedicated warrior and all out kick butt Alpha. Her voice needed to be heard amongst all the male Alphas and it rang out awesomely in telling her and Kade's journey.
It’s not often you see a story with a female alpha and male omega. I really enjoyed this point of view and I liked the way Kade was written. He was kind, caring and supportive while also still coming across like he could hold his own. That’s how I like my omega characters to be male or female.
I’ve been looking forward to this book for so long and it definitely lived up to expectations. The only thing I didn’t like is that it was shorter then I’d like but it was great regardless.
Great story line though fast paced. Can't wait for Fevers story!!! So done really shows her alpha side and yet how she still is a female and will protect what's hers
Loved reading this one the last I installment was too wham bam thank you mam no actual relationship, this one was absolutely sweet and I dare say this is a relationship between two alpha personalities.
This was a quick enjoyable read. It was nice to read about an alpha female for once! Sidone is a total bada!! I loved her! Kade is her omega and he was adorable. This book was hot and the romance was sweet! I definitely recommend reading this!
