Main Krishan Hoon (Volume 3) Dwarka – sapnon se haqiquat ka safar by Deep Trivedi- Story so far- Krishna as leader of Yadavas visits Kundanpur where swayamvar of Rukmini is organised. Jarasndh King of Magagh wanted that Rukmini should be married to his protégé king. Rukmini’s brotehr Rukmi was a stooge of Jarasandh. Mathura Yadavas are not invited by the Kshatriya kings. Krishna visits Kundanpur with a large retinue of chariots and moves round the city. Residents of Kundanpur understand though Krishna is an important person, Mathura wss not been invited. Under public pressure, Krishna is invited. Krisna attends the meeting of King of Kundanpur and requests that swayamvar should be postponed because of the above reasons. King of Kundanpur agrees. Chapter 1- Symantak mani ki chori ka raaz- Syamantak jewel has been granted to Satyabhama’s father Satrajit. After puja, Syamantak jewel delivered gold every day. Because of his affluence, Satrajit wanted be a top leader of Yadavas of Mathura. Ugrasen was pressurized to accept his proposals. Tug of war continued between Satrajit and Krishna. One day Syamantak jewel was stolen from Satrajit’s large palace. Thus, Satrajit was less active. Krishna got himself chosen as Chief of Yadavas. Balram- Krishna- Uddhava left for Ujjaini Sandipani’s ashram. Here they found that the Ashram had started co-education. They met Sudama, Punerdutt, Vindha, Anuvindhya, Revati was a young student from a royal family. Balram was impressed by her. She was the daughter of King Kakumadi of Kushsthali near the sea. Their neighbour king Punyajan attacked and defeated her father. She wanted to reverse the situation. Krishna provided with 1000 army men and requested his friend king Chandak to provide help in the attack led by Balram. The war was won and Kakumadi was declared King as Revati’s brothers had already been killed by Punyajan. Krishna returned and proposed that in order to fill the treasury, the rich Yadavas Satrajit, Satyaki, Akrur, Bhadrak, Vasudev etc. should provide half value of their property to the treasury. Krishna visited Satrajit’s palace, when he had gone out. He met Satyabhama, asked her to show the puja ghar, stole syamantak jewel, told Satyabhama to keep the secret and left. Krishna started depositing gold from the syamantak jewel in the treasury every day. Krishna provided financial assistance to the poor. One solution was suggested to avoid Jarasandh. Krishna could plan to develop Kushsthali as a safe location to shift from Mathura. Chapter 2- Dwarka ka nirman- Krishna met the famous city designer Vishwakarma and explained that security of the city was top priority. Entrance should be from sea and there should no entrance from land. Krishna was able to finance the project. The city was developed soon supervised by Balram and Uddhav. Large stone boulders near the sea coast were natural protecting walls. Roads, market, palace, garden, residence for common people were planned. Boats and ship to travel and move to the entrance were planned. Colour scheme golden, silver, glass, night light were decided. Work was to be completed within a period of one year.The palace has large courtyard, 10 guest rooms, working space for 500 staff, 20 residential palaces, and 2000 residences for public. Capital was named Dwarka. East- Raiwatak Hills, South- Latvisth Hills, West Sukaksh Hills, north – Venumant Hills. Vishwakarma informed the total expenditure on the construction and planning of Dwarka. Krishna had brought his riches to pay as token advance money to Vishwakarma. Further payments were to be made after each 15 days further on. Shvetketu, classmate of Krishna at Sandipani gurukul was now Deputy Army Commander at Kundinpur. He had married Shaivya sister of King Shranglu. Krishna had met them during his visit to Kundinpur. They both visited Krishna at Mathura and informed that Jaranadh had convinced King of Kundinpur that Rukmini should be married to Shishupal soon. All kings have made a union which has extended friendly hand to Kalyavan, a Rakshas king. They planned that Kalyavan should attack Mathura from the North while Jarasandh and his friends army to attack Mathura from the west. Chapter 3- Dwarka ke liye Prasthan (Move towards Dwarka) 25000 thousand Yadavs start their journey towards Dwarka. Krishna is aware that Kalyavana army is travelling on the same route of Lavana Ghati. Therefore, Kalyavan army needs to be halted for at least 4 days so that Yadavas may pass the area safely. Krishna sends Satyaki as emissary. Satyaki returns. Only two days delay has occurred. Krishna himself appears before Kalyavana army as emissary of Ugrasen. He informs Kalyavana that Jarasandh has put his army in a trap. Mathura is a weak state and as Jarasandh wishes to be declared as a victor of all kingdoms, his army will face and fight with Jarasasndh’s joint army. Krishna suggests that Kalyavana should follow a short route to Mathura. Kalyavana moves with 4 armed men to view the route. Krishna enters a deep caved where they have placed dry wood already. Krishna enters the cave, Kalyavana follows. Krishna kills Kalyavana with this rotating disc. He comes out and kill three soldiers. Through fourth soldier, Krishna send information of Commander of Kalyanava army that kalyavana has been killed by Jarasandh army, therefore, the army should return back to their Capital. Chapter 4- Mera Dwarkadhish banana- (Krishna crowned as head of Dwarka)- It took 28 for Yadavs to reach Kushsthali. Here King Kakumadi, his daughter Revati and retinue of 200 servants and soldiers welcomed them. Krishna remembered that during the journey whenever he met Satrajit and his daughter Satyabhama, she always smiled and served sweetmeats to Krishna. Construction of Dwarka was financed by Syamantak jewel which Krishna had stolen from Satrajit-Satyabhama’s palace. The group moved towards Dwarka. Vishwakarma was welcomed them. They all boarded various boats and ships to move to Dwarka through sea route. It took six days and en-number of trips for all Yadavas to safely reach Dwarka. Yadav chiefs Kandal, Viprabhu, Shriphalak, Chitrak, Gad, Satyak, Sankarshan, Prabhu joined to work. It was decided that Ugrasen would be head of Dwarka while Balram and Krishna would be heir apparent. Dhanadrishti was Commander of army and Satyaki was chief army officer. Laws applicable in Mathura were to continue in Dwarka with necessary amendments. Appointment committee included Vikadru and Balram. Wages of Mathura kingdom employees were doubled. Treasury was full because of gold from Syamantak jewel. No one was poor. Each had enough to eat and a house to live. Women protection, manufacture and sale of liquor -law was passed. Tax free professions- milk and milk products, farmers, potters, agricultural equipment. Initially one cow was granted by the Committee to all gwalas. One large palace was allotted to Satrajit. Shops wer sold on cost to cost basis. Remaining shops were allotted to poor as Dwarka property. Houses were allotted to poor on rent basis. Cost was to be paid within 5 years. From the sale price received, more shops were planned to be constructed. Experts of Vishwakarma’s team were appointed to plan and help in construction work. Land was allotted to the poor. Within two months shops of various goods started functioning. Yadavs understood that as each of them had to pay taxes to treasury, therefore, they had to start working hard and contribute to development of Dwarka. Until food items were not available, food was provided by palace. Now, as shops opened with goods, free food facility was dispensed with. Krishna always took the consent of the governing council for his decisions. Suggestions were asked from city dwellers for development of Dwarka. Meeting of businessmen was organised for suggestions for improvement of facilities, including jewelry, beads and other items found on sea coast, and expanding business round Aryavart. Financial assistance could be provided. Crowning ceremony of Ugrasen had to be organised. Council of ministers and advisory council appointed Vikadru, Uddahv, Satyaki, Sankarshan, Chitrak for arrangements. Satrajit was responsible for finance and expenditure.
Daruk was appointed chaioteer to Krishna. Guests for coronation ceremony were King Bhishmak from Kundinpur, Karus and Pandavas, Chandak, Padmawati, Damghosh, Vindh, Anuvindh from Ujjaini, Acharya Sandipani. Guests arrived. Fairs, cultural programmes were organised for their entertainment. Crowing event was successful. Chapter 5- Rukmini Haran- Shvetketu and Shaivya informed Krishna that Rukmini was being married on coming Akshay Tritiya day. Trio- Jarasandh, Shishupal, Rukmi wished that swayamvar should be oregnsied and she should marry Shishupal. Rukmini did not agree to marry Shishupal and wnet to live iwht her grandfather Caishik. She sent a letter through her emissary Shewatketu and Shaivya. Krishna showed this letter to Balram, Uddhav, Satyaki, Pralamb, Daruk and friends. The letter stated only that Krishna should attempt to get the date of swayamvar postponed. Krishna loved Rukmini, therefore, he planned to visit Kundinpur to help her. It was decided that they should reach Kundinpur 3 days before Akshya Tritiya. An army of 100 soldiers on chariots with Krishna clsoe friends and brother Balram started the journey. They did not use the Dwarka emblems. They were dressed a common people. Shaivya informed that Rukmini will visit Devi temple to pay her respect to the Goddess. Shvetketu informed that there will be about 100 Kundinpur soldiers to protect her. Krishna planned to meet her at the temple. In the morning, Krishna viewed that Rukmini was moving towards the temple, he moved towards her in his chariot. In a second, he picked Rukmini and placed her on the chariot. He asked Daruk the charitoter to move out. On meeting his friends, he instructed that you must stop the soldiers for some time, then return back with Shvetketu and Shaviya. The chariot moved fast. Rukmini was afraid, as she did not recognise Krishna. Krishna found that Rukmini was either tired or mentally under pressure, therefore, in the evening, they rest in a small cabin by the roadside. Soon, Krishna found that Rukmi, Rukmini's brother had come alone on a chariot to attack Krishna. Krishna bet him with his mace. Rukmi fell down. It appeared to Rukmini that Krishna wished to kill Rukmi. She begged Krishna to let Rukmi go and that she was prepared to marry him. Soon, Krishna compatriots joined him. It took 8 days to reach Dwarka. Ship was ready to taken the party to Dwarka gate. It was evening when they reached Dwarka. it was lights and lights all the way. Krishna drove the chariot himself. They reached the palace and were welcomed by his family members and Ugrasen. Parties were galore next few days. Krishna and Rukmini found a peaceful location near the sea coast where they planned to construct a palace for them. Krishna understood that Rukmini does miss her parents. Therefore, after 10 months of marriage, they along with their family members visited Kundinpur, stayed there for some days and returned. Rukmini was pregnant. Acharya Sandipani visited Dwarka. Krishna knew that Rukmini is fairly well educated and she was also happy to keep company with Acharya. The proposal for establishing a Gurukul was planned and construction work began. Acharya Sandipani suggested names of teacher for various subjects. Uddhav was deputed to contact them and appoint them. Acharya Sandipani informed about the happening in Kuru Kingdom, Hastinapur, Pandavas, Kurus, Dronacharya, King Drupad of Panchal, Draupadi his beautiful daughter. He also informed that as Arjuna had arrested Drupad, he bore enimity towards Drona and Arjuna. Drupad wished to marry his daughter Draupadi to a king who would take revenge from Drona and Arjuna, and he proposed that Krishna should marry Draupadi. Krishna said that he would first visit Hastinapur, Panchal, then decide. For development of business in Dwarka, Krishna allowed 500 foreign visitors to Dwarka. Chapter 7- Pandavon ka Rajyabhishek- Crowning of Pandavas- Rukmini was aware that marriage proposal with Draupadi, therefore, Rukmini felt insecure. Krishna planned to leave Dwarka for one-year time to attend the Crowning ceremony of Pandavas and to meet his Naga ancestors King. Journey to Hastinapur took 8 days. Krishna camped outside the city and sent Uddhav as his emissary to Hastinapur. Three days later, Uddhav brought the information that Kuri kingdom was divided into two parts- Pandavas were crown Prince of Varanvat while Duryodhana was crown Prince for Hastinapur. Pandavas and Kunti had burnt in a fire that struck the Varnavat palace. Krishna visited Hastinapur. He was welcomed but he doubted that the fire which burnt Pandavas was a plan of Duryodhana. He met Dhritrashtra and Gandhari and consoled them. Krishna met Vidur the minister. Vidur was related to Krishna and he knew that he was in favour of Pandavas. Krishna and Uddhav stayed with Vidur. According to the Book, Vidur is maternal uncle of Krishna.i Krishna meets citizens of Hastinapur and discusses the grave situation borne out of burning of Pandavas. The citizens are angry. This message reaches King Dhritrashtra and Bhishma. They call Duryodhana and Shakuni and question them. They also inform them that conditions are not controlled, Duryodhana could not retain his Crown Prince status. Satyaki visited Krishna provided two factual information first, Rukmini had given birth to a beautiful son named Pradumna. Second, that Pradumna has been kidnaped after days by someone and both the kidnapper and Pradumna are not traceable. Vidur advised Krishna that he should immediately return to Dwarka and as far as Hastinapur is concerned, soon things will be fine. Krishna was stunned on hearing this information. He questioned Vidur again about his words. Vidur confessed in confidence that Pandavas have survived the fire onslaught and have hidden themselves in dense forest. Krishna planned to visit Nagkoot where the kingdom of his grandfather from the family was in peril. planned to visit Nagkoot where the kingdom of his grandfather from the family was in peril. Presently, he left for Kampilya where he met Rishi and teacher Parashar at his Ashram. Parashar was informed that now a days, Kings are providing less financial assistance to Gurukuls. He congratulated Krishna on development of Dwarka.
During the discussion, incident of burning of Pandavas at Varnavat was talked about. Parashar was sad at this incident. Krishna informed that his reliable sources said that the Pandavas are alive and Krishna had come to find them. Parashar said that he knew the facts. Pandavas had come from Varnavat to his ashram. He had suggested that the only safe place for Pandavas was Kampilya. Pandavas should dress as brahmins and move to Kampilya.
