Miriam es periodista y está investigando una serie de asesinatos cometidos por el denominado degollados. Pero Miriam puede haber sido descubierta por el asesino y ahora viene a por ella. Sólo que siente por el algo más que miedo... Y pronto en vez de ser perseguida por su asesino está siendo protegida por él.
A ver... Esta bien para pasar el rato pero es el que me ha parecido más inverosímil. Osea la tía perseguida por un asesino que da un miedo terrible y lo primero que se te ocurre es decirle que antes de morir te lo quieres tirar... 😒 Correcto. No voy a intentar darle mucho sentido y disfrutarlo como una historia corta sin más y listo.

Miriam is a reporter who was assigned to investigate a number of serial killings. She crosses paths with Ice, both of them being strangely attracted to each other. Ice is an assassin, a cold killer. When Miriam tells the police she knows who the killer is, Ice is sent after her to silence her.
Knowing she cannot escape and is going to be killed, Miriam asks Ice to grant her one request before she dies – she wants him to take her virginity! Could he grant her request and still take her life? Where would they go from here? Can they expose the Alien Breed scientists who are using Ice and the others in their own secret plot?
This is an odd sort of series that somehow holds my interest. The Breed are humans who were crossbred with alien DNA and then abused and tortured by their handlers. Each has their own story that captures the attention of the reader. Give it a try and see if the story line and the characters pull you into their world.

Also bis auf das Ice auch immer so einer ist der springt wenn Miriam Hopp sagt, fand ich ihn eigentlich ganz toll. Miriam ist einfach nur dümmlich wenn ich das mal so sagen darf. Es sind immer so Stellen die mich aufregen. z.B. Er hängt überm Bett und würgt wie irre und sie fragt dann ob ihm schlecht ist. Ne ist klar. Es könnte ja auch sein das er die Fusseln einsaugen will. Das geht wirklich das ganze Buch lang so und ging mir tierisch auf den Keks.
Dann wird sie gefangen genommen von nem Psychopathen der von Kindheit an Trainiert wurde zu foltern und hatte auch noch Spaß dabei, den kann sie in 10 Minuten davon überzeugen sich zu stellen und aufzugeben. Da es schon der 2. Band ist der so mies ist, werde ich die Reihe erstmal ad acta legen. Sehr schade.

This is another of the Alien Breed story, where you actually get more about how the Breeds actually came about. Ice, Strike, and Player are three Breeds that were taken and separated from the rest of the Breeds by one of the original creators.
Ice has been sent to kill several supposedly random people, but Miriam has figured out that the murder victims have something in common even if the police haven't. One day Miriam goes in to speak with the next victim and Ice sees her and actually feels something, which for him is very rare indeed. The two literally run into each other and Miriam tells Ice to back off.
X, Ice's handler, tells Ice to kill Miriam when they find out that Miriam has given his description to the police but Ice simply can't do it. Miriam and Ice escape and hide from X and Player and find out that Ice has been getting drugged and has started suffering from severe withdraw symptoms . With a phone call, Miri is able to get help and Ice is able to get rid of his symptoms but becomes highly aggressive and he tells Miri to run and lock him in the apartment. She does this and ends up being caught and kidnapped by Player, who has that name because he likes to play with his victims before killing them.
Ice receives a note to go home and then is threatened by both X and Player that they will harm Miriam if he doesn't do exactly what they tell him to do. Ice ends up calling in Strike for help, and finds out where Miriam is being held. While this is going on Miriam meets the mysterious "X" and learns the backstory of the Alien Breeds.
As as result, Miriam is able to use this information as a means to bring Player down from hurting her further and trying to kill her. When Ice gets to the basement where Miriam and Player are at, he is surprised to find out that Player has changed sides from being with X to being with Ice and Miriam. Player had actually called the police and turned himself in, with the help of the Senator Ice and Miriam as well as Strike and Alex are able to go to Eden.
I definitely would suggest reading this book, as well as the series!

When Aliens crashlanded on Earth there were two survivers, these aliens were taken to a secret location where their DNA was extracted and combined with human DNA, the resulting human/alien hybrids were named Breeds. When the discovery was made the Breeds were released and for their own safety allowed to settle on another planet. Ice and several other breeds were not among those freed, these breeds were kept druged and raised to become killers by one of the doctors, not knowing any difference until Ice meets a woman called Miriam who was he recognised as his mate. This was a story that appealed to me, Grace showed no fear when confronted by Ice, her honesty and fearless attitude was what Ice first noticed about her. When she learned the truth about his upbring and learnt about his forced addiction to drugs by his captor she immediately made contact with someone who could help him detox. It eas not hard to realize why Ice was prepared to do anything necessary to save her.

Investigating the six murders committed by the killer nicknamed the New York Ripper and trying to find a connection between them which the police have failed to do she finds that they all sat in the same row in a group at a press conference after the Alien Breeds were found and freed. There are another four people from that group so she arranges to to visit Viktor Romanov one of the names on the list. The visit is not a lot of help but as she leaves she sees what she thinks is some muscle protecting Viktor a very tall albino standing in the shadows so she goes up to him and tells him he does not frighten her then walks away.The next day Viktor is dead. Miriam goes to visit a second person and this time she sees the albino sitting outside in a car and starts to think he is the killer. When he turns up at he apartment she knows he is there to kill her.

A very enjoyable story to read and review that is about Ice and Miriam. Ice is casing Dr. Romanov building, who he's been assigned to murder by his boss X, when he notices a attractive woman enter. Miriam, a reporter, is interviewing Dr. Romanov who could be the killer that is in the major newspapers. When she leaves, she notices Ice and approaches and confronts him thinking he is one of Dr. Romanov's goons. Next day Dr. Romanov is dead. When Miriam sees Ice again casing Louisa Montiago villa, she goes to the police and tells she knows who the killer is. The police put her into protection but Ice finds her and she makes a demand. Will Ice kill her afterwards? This is another enjoyable story in this series about humans who were crossbred with alien DNA and then exploited by their handlers who find their mates. There is action, steamy romance, and likable characters and villains. I volunteer to read and review this ARC via booksprout.

This Alien Breed novel turned out to be more involved and convoluted than I expected from the book blurb. Yes, the fairly indecisive (for an investigative journalist on a story) Miriam gave pause to the albino Ice in his mission to assassinate her. There had been a number of serial killings which Miriam was investigating. She happened upon Ice and was strangely attracted by his weird appearance. Ice becomes enamored of Miriam—unsettling to him because, for the most part he had been raised to have no emotions. The real story behind the killings is involved around the Alien Breed hybrids and the science and scientists behind them. Ice and his fellow Breeds are victims and are being used in a nefarious plot. The novel is action-packed and I liked it—it's not a great paranormal romance, but it was interesting and a fairly good use of my reading time.

I really wanted to like this book, but I had a really hard time getting through it. It reads like it was written in another language and run through a computer translation program with no editing afterwards. Much of it is written in broken English so it doesn't flow and doesn't make sense. It also seemed like the characters always spoke in exclamations... there were too many exclamation points throughout.
Believability was a problem for me as well. What did Ice do when he wasn't serving as an assassin? Did he never see the news or have contact with other people? I have a hard time understanding how he could go from totally believing in his mission with no doubts or questions, to believing Miriam's take on what he is doing.
This one just didn't work for me.

A very well-written story in the Breed series- Book 3- it has very interesting characters I want to get to know better. This is a very different kind of series, in each book it has characters that are humans who were crossbred with alien DNA and then usually abused and tortured or at least have been abused by their handlers for horrible reasons. These characters have their own story that grabs your attention. The story line and the characters pull you into their world and you will not want to leave. This Author is now one of my favorite Authors. A must read series and book. Read them in order to get more out of it.

Will he melt if he grants her her wish or will he stay as cold as ice?
I so wanted to like this story as the book description was interesting and hinted that it could be a really fascinating story-line. Unfortunately it just did not live up to what it could have been. It was pretty good story-line but just could not overlook some issues with the actual writing. It was stilted in areas which distracted from the story. I did like the characters of Ice and Miriam and their interactions together. They are both smart and interesting in different ways.
Overall I liked the story and characters but thought the writing needed some polish to it.

Ice is the third book in Melody Adams’ Alien Breed series featuring Miriam, a reporter investigating a number of serial killings, and Ice, an alien breed assassin. When Miriam goes to the police information implicating Ice to the killings, he is ordered to murder her, but, is unable to do so since he falls instantly in love with Miriam. This sets the couple on the run since other assassins are assigned to kill Miriam. I recommend this fast paced and unique novel which has lots of action, an intriguing plot, fantastic characters, danger and suspense, discovery of information about the alien DNA breeding program, passion, and steamy love.

3.5 Stars - This was a very interesting book. This is my first that I have read in the series even though I know there have been others. I didn’t feel like I missed that much though. I liked the chemistry between Ice and Miriam and the story had a good pace and lots of excitement. The biggest hinderance for me was the clunky translation. I know this was originally a German series that is being translated into English and while over the translation is fine, I think this books and possibly other would benefit from having an editor look over the translation to clear up some of the grammatical and verb tense issues as well as working on flow. Otherwise, an interesting concept!

Wow one tantalizing delicious sexy action-packed tasty treat"
The way this story unfolds is like a wet dream come to life torchering me and making me warm moist and intoxicated from one eye popping ravenous page to the next. This story was definitely smokin hot with an intriguing storyline that kept me thirsty excited and on edge from the very beginning to the jaw dropping end The perfect dessert to a long day and an amazing fantasy of taboo love that i could not resist this sweet treat !!!!

I Love this Tale!
“Ice” is a short amazingly funny tale of a human/alien hybrid. This is Ice and Miriam’s story.
It has wonderful chemistry between the main characters, drama, action, suspense and a surprising twist. Ice is a tale of love and redemption. It is emotional and realistic and funny and intriguing and intoxicating to the senses. “Alien Breed” is the kind of series that draws you in, and gets you hooked so that you are fully invested in the characters and the series. I LOVED THIS BOOK. I can’t wait to get started on the next book in this series!

This was an awesome book that I really enjoyed. The story and characters grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. I loved Characters and them grow together, they were well written and went well together. I found this book amazing with great word building making me feel apart of the story and watching it unfold in front of me. A definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more from this author!!!

Ice was an alien breed. He and two other had been taken when they were young by X and taught to be ruthless hitmen. Miriam was hot on the trail of a lead and ended up figuring out that Ice was the killer everyone was looking for. X told him to kill Miriam. He tried but he couldn’t because she was his mate. Can he save her from the other two hitmen? Can Miriam care for this hit man that has come to kill her? Fun read

I'm really loving this series. This book is full of mystery, intrigue, suspense, and action. I loved how Ice wasnt a necessarily good guy. I loved how Miriam was so strong and how she helped Ice. Ms. Adams is brilliant in how she gives each alien their own personalities/individuality and issues to deal with and overcome. Then she creates the perfect mate to go along with them on that journey. This series is truly amazing and I cant wait for the next one.

The reporter was trying to find out who the killer was by using her reporter ways. The killer was one step in front of her. But now would be the time to get the book so you can find out what happens. A good story about Miriam, a tenacious reporter who wont stop until the story is finished and Ice the man sent to silence her. I loved how this hardened killer could still be insecure and not believe that Miriam could really accept and love him. The story is fast paced but a bit choppy at times. It is still an enjoyable read.

Book three in the Alien Breeds series, I hope they all get translated from German to English. This is a well written story with a very good storyline the story flowed smoothly from page to page. This is Ice and Miriam meet when he is sent to kill her. Their story kept me turning pages. What surprised me the most was what Player did at the ends. Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Mariam is a reporter that was doing an interview on a Dr Romanov. Ice was sent to kill Dr Romanov it all goes pear shape after he kills the doctor. Ice has no emotions until he meets Mariam.

I've read several books written by Melody Adams; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

The idea of asking your would be killer to be your first lover is a bit out of this world but hey, this is a work of fiction, an alien/paranormal romance, where anything is possible and reality is suspended. Who knows, it may be possible.
I find myself entertained by the story, and I am curious about the other alien breed.

I liked this book. I thought Ice and Miriam had very good chemistry. The story was interesting (if a bit cheesy) and it grabbed and held my well with a blend of intensity, suspense, danger, drama, heat and emotion. All together a pretty good read. This is my candid review that I am posting of my own volition.
