Each year I long for the Moonglow's books to get an update in the Timberton Hotel's lovely local residents and the new people we always get to know and their stories.

This year there is even a lovely Brazilian lady that looks like my grandma and went to seek the snow in the small town of Timberton, Montana (of all places!!). I loved this character and she is very close to my heart.

This book is so well written and each year we get closer to Timberton and almost all of the recipes that even in the hot summer of Brazil I can manage to bake. You will love this book and please read all the series! It will get your heart warm and it will be a Christmas treat.

Snowfall at Moonglow is the only thing that could make curling up under a fuzzy blanket with a cup of cocoa on a cold winter night even more cozy. Although each can be read individually, you really won't want to miss out on any of the sweet, homey, holiday cheer that each book brings with it. I really regret that I can't step across the threshold into Moonglow Cafe and sit and have a meal with everyone. The perfect way to prepare for your own white Christmas!

Snowfall at Moonglow by Deborah Garner is the last in this lovely Christmas series and I will miss visiting Mist, Betty, Clive, and the other inhabitants of Timberton, MT. These have been easy reads that allow me to enjoy cooler weather and social interaction without leaving home.

This was done well. It seems everyone is waiting for a big snowstorm that is to be predicted. As some of the guests arrive for the holiday season. Mist just let them all settle in and get to know them at their own pace.

This seems to be a special activity that Mist seems to have pulled together for the guest at the hotel. That she gets some of the townsfolk to help out. What is this activity she has planned? Well, you will need to find out by reading.

The guests are Clara and Andrew, Michael, Max and Kinsley and Allison and the Professor. The story is heartfelt and sweet. It is a fun and enjoyable read. It loves it. Deborah Garner does a wonderful job of creating a special time for getting together.

The holiday season has officially started now I have read a Moonglow book. I look forward each year  to holiday fun with the Timberton Hotel staff, the townsfolk and the guests - many of whom are repeat guests - at the hotel. My guess is I would really call this a bed and breakfast but I also don't care what it's called because I want to go spend a holiday there.

Mist, the chef at the Moonglow Cafe and a local artist, always has such a great attitude towards the holidays even though must kitchens know that holidays mean extra work. She does more than just cook and makes sure to get to know each guest. Her view of each guest and what they may need to have a fantastic holiday makes me want to have all my kids in one place for one holiday one more time. I'm sure I can come up with a closet of trinkets so everyone's room is special and paint a wonderful small canvas for each person - NOT. Mist goes over and above what is needed to make a holiday work.

Betty's wonderful cookie exchange, while it did not take up many pages in the book itself, took up a great number of pages in new recipes I cannot wait to try. The recipes at the end of the book just make me drool and I know I will be adding a few to my Christmas baking this year.

You cannot go wrong picking up Snowfall at Moonglow. It is a great read to get anyone in the holiday spirit. I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

‘Snowfall at Moonglow’ is the first book that I have read by Deborah Garner, and I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.

The book is about the Timberton Hotel, a place where guests are gathering for a peaceful winter break over Christmas and the festive season. The owner Mist, is an artist and goes all out to spread some festive cheer and make the guests welcome. She provides amazing cuisine catering to each of the guests tastes, and puts treasures and trinkets in their rooms to enable them to recapture some of their youth, or to make their stay have that extra personal touch.

The story was a real positive feel good read, it was not only about the community of Timberton getting together to celebrate, but also the guests- some of which who have travelled from across the world. Each guest provides their own element of interest and quirk, and you know that Mist is preparing something extra special for her guests to embrace on Christmas Day. Her romance with Michael is that extra added cherry of cuteness on this sweet read.

I would recommend this book to a reader looking to get into the festive spirit. It was a quick read and left me feeling very positive and excited for the lead up to Christmas.

Every year at Christmas Mrs. Garner welcomes us back to the Timberton Hotel, to see what Mist has cooked up for this holiday season (literally and figuratively). Guests find amazing food, love and healing, and friendships that will span the years. And they all find the magic of Christmas, even the most jaded of them.

This is another amazing addition to the Moonglow Christmas series! The friends and neighbors that come to see Mist at Christmas make for an interesting, fun story. You can read this story as a standalone book, but I'd recommend reading the previous novels also. You won't be disappointed, and you'll definitely be in the Christmas spirit!

I really want to find the Timberton Hotel and stay for a visit! Mist has an amazing knack for making every guest feel special, and for making the holidays into a magical event that warms everyone's heart.

I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

This series has become a seasonal tradition for me! I always look forward to the yummy recipes as well as the heartwarming feeling you get when reading about Timberton. Coming from a warmer area of the country, snow is not something I'm used to for the holiday season. For Mist and the Timberton crew, it's almost an essential to making the holiday season complete. Once the guests all settle in, everything else falls into place. Garner hits my holiday soft-spot again with this title! I would love to find the cozy, heartwarming group like this of my own to do cookie exchanges and spend the season with. Mist continues to be the heart and soul of this series; but the new characters add some spice, meshing the past with the present. Not feeling the season this year? You will after diving into this book!

I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

I love this series so much. Every time I read a book in this series the more I wish I could visit the Timberton Hotel at Christmas. Mist makes everything feel so magical. This is the perfect book to read during the holiday season. The atmosphere of the book is just perfect. It shows you the true meaning of the holiday; the coming together. Snowfall at Moonglow is book five in the Moonglow Christmas book series by Deborah Garner.
This books opens up with the holiday fun just beginning at The Timberton Hotel in Timberton, Montana.
The guests are about to arrive and the Christmas spirit is in full effect. There is a snow storm that is about to arrive, and Mist is the owner of the Moonglow Café that is nestled inside the hotel that Betty owns. Betty is a warm and loving mentor, that just reminds you of a fairytale grandmother. The townspeople that fill in the blanks fit ever so snuggly into this Christmas novella. The new guests arriving all have a story to tell. The returning guests are family. This book is a get you into the mood for Christmas tale. Brew some hot chocolate and take a short trip to Timberton.
I read this book as a stand-alone,(not reading any of the previous books) but the moment you start reading – you know that these are all people you need to know more about. The book is set in a small town that is simply Christmas picturesque, you truly feel like you have travelled to Christmas Town, USA!
The characters are all warm and welcoming. From page one you want to be a guest at the hotel and meet the townspeople. Every year there are old returning guests and new guests. Mist has an amazing ability to read each new guest and know exactly what they need out of there visit to the Timberton. Mist is quirky and warm, everything about her reminds you of Christmas.
As new guests arrive at the hotel, you are transformed into a guest yourself with the turn of each page.
It was a wonderful read with amazing characters and townspeople that make you want to pack up the car and go visit.
The story is full of the characters doing cookie exchanges, baking wonderful holiday goodness that leave you wanting to taste and wondering about. But an amazing surprise after the end of the story – every morsel of food talked about in the book has the full recipe listed at the end.
As the story ended and I was feeling sad, I turned the page and was absolutely delighted to find the recipes. Some of which will have a wonderful place in my Christmas baking this year.
If you are looking for the Christmas spirit – look no further, you will find it in Snowfall at Moonglow.

I look forward to reading the new Moonglow Christmas book every year. This is the fifth book. Each book does have a theme to it. So while you don’t have to read them in order, or even read all of them, I highly suggest you do. The staff at Timberton Hotel is the same year to year. The guest list has regulars and new people. They feel like family, especially if you choose to read the series. It is hard to imagine a Christmas missing any of the regulars, though it has happened. In this book we are waiting for snow..just as I am waiting for snow in real life. I am wishing hard, you have no idea. The activities, the cookie exchange, the feast, Christmas morning..everything is included to give you the Christmas you dream of. I miss Christmas with my family. The last time I was able to be home for it was six years ago. I read these books each year, adding on the new one, because while I’m reading, I’m part of it. If you just want to feel Christmas, without a bunch of commercialism, get these books and be swept away to the Christmas of your dreams.
I think I forget to mention in my reviews that cookie recipes are included in each book. I’m always amazed at all the different cookies. The recipes have a range to them from easy to complicated, (but not so complicated that you can’t do them. Just a bit more difficult for non bakers). The author has also released a wonderful cookbook this year, Sweet Treats, that also has the recipes.
I don’t usually put this in a review but if you need a gift for someone who enjoys reading, Christmas and baking, a fabulous gift would be the collection along with the recipe book. I have the books on my Kindle and I would still swoon to have them all gifted in print. Give the gift to yourself or to a reading loved one. They are truly Christmas Magic.

SNOWFALL AT MOONGLOW, the fifth book in Moonglow Christmas series by Deborah Garner, is the coziest way to start off the holiday season. The author evokes a child-like, wide-eyed wonder to seeing newly fallen snow, the glee at building snowmen, the warmth of a mug of hot cocoa, and friends new and old gathered around the Christmas tree singing carols. This heartwarming novella captures the best of the season and the protagonist, Mist, is at the center of it all. Mist has an almost magical way about her without the book crossing into the paranormal. She senses what each guest to the Timberton Hotel needs to grow as individuals or find comfort from the world, and in her quiet, unassuming way goes about providing what is needed. Mist has a calming presence, both to the characters on the pages and to the reader. I so enjoy her interaction with her dear elderly friends, Betty and Clive, and am happy to see Mist’s relationship moving forward with Michael. I look forward to reading the Moonglow Christmas stories each and every holiday because they are such a sweet way to get into the spirit of the season!

And speaking of sweets, there are recipes at the back of the book… oh my, so many mouthwatering recipes! Timberton Hotel hosts an annual Cookie Exchange party and I love how Ms. Garner weaves in several of the recipes that her fans provide for the book into the story.

Mist is convinced there will be snow this Christmas at her hotel but is also preparing to make a winter season to remember for her guests new and old. Everyone get set for holiday happiness!
Tinterton Hotel has an interesting array of guests this year, including workaholic Max and a vegan mother and daughter where the daughter yearns for independence. We also are reintroduced to a range of locals who love the festive experience provided by MIst, plus she is accompanied by her new love.
Being a novella, Snowfall at Moonglow was a quick read. The plot and narrative are warm and festive, with important messages about the real meaning of Christmas. I liked the continuation of some threads from previous books such as Mist’s new relationship but I wanted to find out more about the guests and allow them extra time to develop as characters and see what they have learned during their visit.
Author Deborah Garner has included recipes at the end of the book once again so that readers can interact with the content and bring the cookie exchange to life. My only disappointment was that there were no vegan recipes included at the end after having veganism running through the novella. However, I’m sure they could be adapted!

Enjoyable! Entertaining! Enchanting!

I am running out of superlatives for this incredibly entertaining series. I can not put them down having discovering them on the day after Christmas. There is always a tiny bit of let down after all the hoopla of shopping, decorating, cooking and gift opening has come to an end. So these wonderful stories are my special treat.

I read a lot of cozy mysteries, but these books are so much more. There is no mystery to solve, no snipping, disagreements, or ill will involved. Just wonderful characters that now feel like old friends. Betty who owns the Hotel, her friend Clive who creates beautiful jewelry and all the other shop owners who make this small town so special. And of course Mist, the central figure who pulls all the perfect puzzles and pieces together to create her brand of magical moments.

I am an avid reader of more than 70 years, having started reading at 3 years old. Being taught by my aunt who read to me and told me fairy stories, some of which she made up. I think that's why enchanting stories still appeal to me. Feel good, happy stories with sweet endings, and good guys in the mix. 5 more books to go in the series. And delightful cookie recipes to try.

Kudos to the author 🎉🎉👏👏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💞💞

I know that Christmas is right around the corner when Deborah Garner releases her next instalment in the Moonglow series, and I wait all year to get taken back to the magical Timberton Hotel with our lovely host Mist. This year it looks like there wont be snow for the first time in a long time, but Mist and her mystical ways just knows that it will come, and she is right! The guest this time around see old and new coming together to celebrate the holidays. We have a new guest Nina all the way from Brazil who has never seen snow before, our old favourites the Professor and  also Clara and Andrew who we missed last year return with some special news, and of course not forgetting Michael, Mist's Beau. I love seeing them together and how easy year they are growing closer and their relationship blooms. I wish we got a bit more time with Nina and Max's characters though, but overall this was once again a cozy read and not to mention packed with a ton of new cookie recipes at the end of the book!

Once again Mist provides each guest with a magical experience that will stay with each of them for years to come. This is a series but you can read it as a stand alone, though once you do you will want to go back and experience the magic from the very beginning.

A heart-warming series

My only complaint about this series is that the stories are too short. I love the Timberton Hotel and all that goes on there. I look forward to the next installment in the Moonglow Christmas series each year.

New Friends

I've enjoyed this series and was glad to see a little more romance between Mist and Michael. So when will Betty and Clive Marry? Loved the new friends but would have enjoyed a little more story in each. The recipes at the end of the books are a nice bonus!

I've decided I want to be a guest at the Timberton Inn. This series just covers the Christmas holiday at a quaint Montana inn. There is always a delightful theme expressed through the decor, food, and Mist's thoughtful little gifts. I want to be a guest.
