This was my favourite story of the whole series. Absolutely loved it.

Cooper falls in love with Ivy through her letters. After being part of the military for most of his adult life he is ready for retirement and before he receives the letter from Ivy isn’t sure what the future holds for him. Over the next year he falls for her and they make plans to meet in his return, but when he gets there Ivy is not what she seemed in fact she could not be more different. Could he really have misjudged her that much or is more going on?

Ivy is a sweet school teacher who has been taken for granted all her life. When her class becomes involved in a pen pal programme she decides to write a letter too little did she know that the man writing to her was her future I was until her friend Jenny gets involved. And when they finally lay eyes on each other Jenny pretends to be her. Watching the man she has fallen in love with walk away with her best friend breaks her heart. Could he really want Jenny over her and when he finds out the truth do they still have a chance at their own happy ever after.

Hope Ford is fast becoming one of my fave authors and a once click for me. They are short stories yes but enough happens to leave you smiling and wanting more. Highly recommended quick read and say give this author a try. 4.5🌟read.

Cooper

Total book hangover!!

My favorite Hope Ford book hands down! I have loved this entire series but oh my goodness there is something about Cooper that just sets off the butterflies in my stomach and heart. The writing style was very different than anything else that I have read by Ms. Ford and frankly I LOVED it. I hope that she writes more of the same style, maybe some of Cooper's army buddies?? I love that Ivy and Cooper met and got to know each other through letters. My one dislike is Ivy's friend Jenny. All I can say is that karma is a Mother Trucker and I really hope that it pays her back tenfold!!! (Seriously I wanted to punch her in the head lol) a very Happily Ever After with an epilogue 5 years out.

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Cooper and Ivy write back and forth, he's in the army and she's a 7th grade enlish teacher. There isn't enough students, so Cooper ends up with a teacher as his pen pal. They get to know one another for a year they write back and forth. Ivy sends Cooper care packages with goodies. Cooper sends Ivy a picture of himself with two of his buddies but he lets her know he's the one in the middle. Cooper asks Ivy to send him a picture back of her, when she does she sends one with her and her roommate Jenny it was her roommates idea. Cooper knows which one is Ivy even though she didn't tells him. Cooper is going to retire in a year and throughout the year Ivy breaks up with her boyfriend then Cooper tells her he wants to take her on a date. Cooper asks Ivy if she'll take the time to get to know him, through their letters. When it's time for Cooper to finally come home Ivy gets ready but Jenny convinces her that if Cooper looks disappointed she'll jump in and say she's her roommate. When Cooper knocks on the door Ivy answers it but Jenny jumps right in and takes over. Ivy is heartbroken when Jenny leaves with Cooper to go on her date. When Cooper takes Jenny to an Italian restaurant, her favorite she is disappointed, he feels something is wrong. Cooper notices that Jenny is abrasive, very blunt and more than a little forward. When she leans in to kiss him, he pulls away from her, kissing her doesn't seem right. When Jenny invites him inside he tells her he's tired but he suggest they go out tomorrow night with her roommate. Jenny convinces Ivy to find a date to go out to the club with Cooper and her. Ivy tells Jenny she wants her to move out she can't take her dating Cooper. When Cooper arrives he finds out Ivy will be meeting them at the club with her date. Cooper gets a whiff of Jenny's perfume and he knows this isn't the person he's been sending letters to. When they get to the club Cooper makes sure his is sitting across from Ivy. He asks her how the job hunt is going and he can sense something is wrong. When Cooper looks back to Jenny he sees she has her coat off and sees a tattoo on her shoulder, he knows Ivy doesn't have a tattoo. When Jenny gets up to request they change the country music to something different Cooper knows this is his chance. Ivy gets up and excuses herself and Cooper follows her, he reaches her before she gets to the bathroom. He leans her up against the wall, he leans down and inhales her scent. Cooper tells her she smells just like her letter, but she doesn't say anything. Cooper tells her he's too old why is she and her friend playing these games. Cooper tells her he thought they had something, he thought he meant something to her, what happened. Cooper bends down and kisses her giving everything he has into the kiss. Cooper loves her, Ivy's still quiet she has nothing to say. Cooper tells her they could have been good together, then leaves the club. Ivy falls to the floor and cries then she realizes what he said, he did know it was her. Ivy goes to find Cooper but he's gone. She sends Cooper a text asking him if she can explain, she tells him she promises him it's not what he thinks when he doesn't reply. She tells him if he'll let her explain he'll never have to see her again, Cooper sends her his hotel and room number. Ivy waits for an Uber to pick her up. Cooper was getting ready to head back to Knoxville, he has his bag packed until Ivy's text came. Cooper knows he still wants her, then there's a knock on his door. When he opens the door she asks if she can come in, Cooper moves aside to let her in. Ivy tells him she knows he must hate her, he tells her he doesn't. Ivy asks him to let her get this out, she tells him when she sent him that picture of her and Jenny she never told him which one was her. She was afraid that he'd assumed she was actually Jenny. Cooper tells her he never but Ivy gives him a look so he stops. Ivy tells him after writing to him for over a year she didn’t care anymore. She knew how she felt about him. It was Jenny’s idea, she said she was worried about her getting her feelings hurt and would be there on
standby just in case she needed her to jump in as her.  She told Jenny she didn’t need her to, but she insisted and well, you know her, Ivy didn’t argue with her about it. Cooper asks her if she's done, Ivy nods at him. Cooper tells her she know how she feels about him he asks her how does she feel, she tells him he knows she told him in the letters. Cooper tells her he wants to hear her say how she feels. Ivy tells him she loves him, she loves him so much it killed her to watch him go out with Jenny. Cooper asks her if she knows Jenny kissed him, Ivy tells him she didn't know that. Cooper tells her he felt guilty kissing her even though at the time he thought Jenny was her. Cooper tells her he thought about kissing her so many times over the last year. He tells her when he kissed her at the club, it was everything he imagined it would be.  All those months, it was her that he looked at, it was her he was picturing himself with. His whole future is planned out and it's with Ivy he seal his lips to hers and wrap his arms around her as he tighten their bodies together. They deepen the kiss, Cooper tells her she's beautiful. Cooper tells her he wants her more than anything he's ever wanted before. Ivy pleasures him, then Cooper pleasures her then they make love. After cleaning up Cooper pulls her close to him and covers them up. He soon hears her soft snores, he tells her he loves her. The next morning when Cooper feels Ivy move beside him he tells her he wants her to come home with him, he promised his family he'd be home today on Christmas Eve. Ivy asks him if he's sure and Cooper tells her that he wants her by his side. Ivy straddles him and tells him she'd love to go home with him. By the afternoon they are on their way to the Tate's Christmas dinner, they stopped by Ivy's apartment to grab her a few things, she left Jenny a note tells her it's best she moves out. They pull up outside Cooper's parents house and Ivy nerves start kicking in. Cooper asks her if she's ready and she tells him as she'll ever be. Cooper tells her he's about to make one of her dreams come true. Ivy looks confused so Cooper tells her she's about to have the big family Christmas. Full of chaos and everything else she ever wanted. Before they even knock the door is flying open and several people are out on the front porch hugging Cooper. Once all the hugs are done Cooper finds Ivy and introduces her telling everyone she is going to be his wife. Then they all hug Ivy, she is introduced to Cooper's mom and dad, along with his brother, Jackson and his girlfriend Megan, then Ford and his girlfriend Allison, then his sister Abby and her boyfriend Brent. When she looks at Cooper he has a big smile on his face and Ivy know that everything is going to be alright. The next day, Christmas, Ivy loved every minute of the chaos it was part of her that had been missing. When they wake up Ivy tells him she needs to change, but Cooper tells her everyone is waiting on them. She tells him she needs to change and he tells her to make it fast. When they get downstairs everyone is sitting around the tree, they pass the gifts out and Ivy receives some. Ivy asks Janice how she knew she'd be there when she only found out yesterday. Cooper's mom tells her that he told her he found the one. Once everyone has opened their presents Cooper slides to the floor on his knee. Cooper tells Ivy when he got her first letter a year ago, he knew then that his life would be forever changed.  He fell in love with her through her letters, once he met her, he knew she was the one for him. Cooper asks her to spend the rest of her life with him, he asks her to marry him. Ivy tells him yes she'll marry him she loves him. Five years later, Ivy is working from home when Cooper comes in with their two kids, four year old Cooper Jr, and three year old Tia. The kids are excited and Ivy asks what's going on, the kids yell they're going on vacation. Cooper tells them it was suppose to be a surprise then tells them to go wash up. Ivy asks him what about a vacation, Cooper asks her if she remembers their list. He tells her they planned to go on a vacation, since Ivy just turned another book in they should celebrate. Ivy tells him it sound perfect, then she tells him she's been working on that list too. Cooper asks her oh, she tells him remember how we both wanted a big family. She tells him she's expecting in eight months to grow their family. Ivy asks him if he's happy and he tells her he's more than happy.

Cooper is book four in the ‘’Tate family holiday’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Ivy is a middle school teacher that is assigned to a pen pal programme. With not enough students, she finds herself becoming pen pals with a soldier. Cooper is surprised to receive a letter from a stranger. As letters go back and fourth between the pair, a connection forms. It isn’t until Cooper meets ‘’Ivy’’ in person that he feels something is wrong.
The chemistry between Ivy and Cooper is clear to see and I liked the build up to them getting together. I liked that Cooper knew what was wrong from the moment they met. I wish there were more scenes of Cooper and Ivy as a couple.
I really disliked Jenny. I could see from the moment she entered the story that she was a snake. I hated the way she treated Ivy, especially after all Ivy had done for her.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

A great tribute to our service men & woman - pen pal letters to heal the heart and sometimes ignite the spark that brings them home!

Cooper has 2brothers and a Sister and he has been off serving his country! Not the best recipe for romance. It funny his family is growing while he is away...one year to go and he can retire. Ivy is a school teacher and has class send one pal letters. Ivy writes Cooper their year of writing letters is what brings them together. Coming home things turn ugly. A true friend has your back & wants your happiness above their own. This is a great tribute to the service men & woman how letters & care packages make a world of difference. V1 S2

Wow loved it

Wow loved this book how Cooper and Ivy fell in love with each other through the letters they had been writing over the past twelve months while he was waiting for his retirement date from the army. Ivy being unsure of herself let’s her room mate pretend she is Ivy but it goes really wrong and she won’t let Cooper go until she explains all to him. Cooper is confused when he first sees the fake Ivy as he thought it was the other girl in the apartment but he soon works it out but struggles to why. Ivy explains all to Cooper who after she finishes just asks her the one question for her to answer does she love him of course she does and all is forgotten and new start to their lives together

A beautiful ending to this series

With each book I kept thinking which story is going to be my favorite. This was definitely the one. Ivy was a school teacher whose school started a pen pal group with soldiers overseas. They had extra soldiers so she picked one ands it happened to be Cooler. They corresponded over a year and got to know each other well. Her roommate talked her into sending him a picture of the two of them, she was a witch. When he got home he went directly to Ivy's place. The witch tricked them both. Read what happens, it's so good you'll love it. Written by Cindy :)

Christmas Wish

I’ve followed the Tate family through each holiday and we come to Cooper and Christmas! My favourite C words! Cooper is everything you can dream of in a book boyfriend.
You get swept away, and at times, feel like you are intruding, reading the secrets they share with each other in their letters.
Ivy is so sweet and the perfect match for Cooper. I once again cried both happy and sad tears while reading this author.
Hope has a knack at knowing what every single curvy girl is feeling and giving us inspiration to embrace it all. A quick feel good read.

Sigh!!! Yup just that cute

I must say, I have now finished reading four of the Tate Family books and each one is simply delicious and full of fun.

This one made me smile and mad, then awh is sweet surprise yet again.

I just loved that Cooper and Ivy fell for each other via letter first. Now Jenny, well she can just go tip a pike for all I care. I was glad that Cooper got wise quickly and tried to correct the issue and that Ivy finally found her self worth.

Overall I enjoy Hope’s writing and can’t wait to read what comes next.

Amazing as Always

How Hope Ford manages to write the perfect short-story insta-love romance amazes me! There is always that perfect amount of angst without drawing it out. She writes the perfect amount of description without prolonging anything. I love how there’s no cheating, HEA, and epilogues. The characters come to life and have amazing chemistry. In regards to all of her books; they are awesome reads and re-reads!

Cooper is made of gold

We finally get the 4th book in the Tate family we have been waiting for COOPER. What an original way to tell the story through love letters. I absolutely loved the book and characters. Such a fun book and another reason why Hope has become one of my favorite authors and a go to for me.

Love this family!!!

This book was a little different then the first three. Cooper and Ivy fall in love slowly, thought the book is fast, it is still a slow burn romance. I don't want to give it away. I loved the way this book was presented and I fell in love with these two! They were perfect together! There are a few typos.

Another in the Tate family story, but this one from the oldest brother Cooper. Separate story from his siblings, with a penpal letter turned insta-romance with some mis-identification. No om/ow to complicate things.
Bit insta-lovely, but that's typical with these short stories. Good read, less smutty than the others in the series but stronger story.

This is a solid 5 stars

This whole series have been amazing! Highly recommend
Was in a reading slump and just needed something short to get me through but honestly… these books are fantastic

What I do like about these books is that all the female main characters aren’t the “normal type” and as a woman that doesn’t fit the beauty standards I loved this

Ate this series up

A treat

I love the Rate family. This was a great story that missed me off that someone would get in the way of love. Cooper is a true alpha who knows when something is not right. "Friends" are no match for what is supposed to be.

The BEST of the series

Older man, younger woman. Pen pal friends to lovers. Someone you think is a friend trying to steal your man. This quick read has it all. Plus, one smoking hot sex scene thrown in for shits and giggles. The perfect read at the end of the day.

A Soldier’s Delight

Cooper and Ivy were a good read. I loved the progression through the letters over a years time span. The best friend should have been kicked out a long time ago. Very selfish! I didn’t give it five stars because it could’ve used a few more sex scenes.

This was a pretty good read. Ivy is a little pushover. She finds out the hard way when her so called deadbeat friend tries to steal her man. I am glad Cooper saw thru Jenny’s crap and saw the real Ivy. Good read.
