Lily grew up in the wilds of snowy nowhere, spending much of her time talking to animals and making up stories. She has continued to do this in her adult life, and now writes both fiction and non-fiction books for children. Beestjes!! Kinderen zijn er vaak vol van!
Wat is er nu leuker dan op onderzoek uit te gaan in de natuur met een vergrootglas en je te verwonderen over deze kleine prachtige wezentjes?
Met dit boek zullen kinderen zich goed kunnen vermaken, er valt veel in te zien in dit kleurrijke boek met zijn prachtige illustraties. Zowel jong als oud zal hiervan kunnen genieten. De teksten die erbij staan geschreven zijn kort en duidelijk. Leuke weetjes, goed te lezen en te begrijpen voor kinderen vanaf een jaar of 9.
Het boek nodigt uit tot onderzoek, zowel in de natuur als in het boek zelf door bijv. zoekopdrachten die worden gegeven. Het neemt je mee naar de natuur dichtbij en ver weg, maar ook terug in de tijd. Wist je bijvoorbeeld dat er 200 miljoen jaar geleden al zilvervisjes leefden en deze exemplaren erg leken op de zilvervisjes die wij nu kennen?
Al met al een mooi boek voor jonge natuurliefhebbers en aanwinst voor een schoolbibliotheek.

Informative, but the formatting isn't the best. It is hard to read with the words getting lost in the background. The words are way too small, and the dark font doesn't stand out against the dark backgrounds on most of the pages.

This is the first book I purchased in a new series and the presentation of information is really cool as well as the illustrations.
