Essence Of The Story, "Flappy" Being bullied can affect a person right to their very core. Surviving bullying with resilience takes hard work and help. This story is designed to give children help by giving them an idea how to survive being bullied. With the motto "From Zero To Hero!" , the main character is an everyday pigeon who finds the strength within to turn the very reason he was bullied into the very foundation of becoming a hero. An emotional story, the outcome is happy, suggesting to the reader that taking on challenges can lead to great rewards and happiness - as well as a growth in self-esteem and self-respect. The pigeon is nicknamed Flappy because his wings make such noise when he attempts to fly. Bullied by others, he is also shamed into leaving his home and family.
