Favorite Quotes:

I wish I was a delicate little flower that glistened when she perspired. Instead, I sweat like a warthog.

But to be honest, spontaneity gives me hives. I’d rather plan out my spontaneity.

Did you just quote Star Wars back at me? That’s like nerd foreplay. First Doctor Who and then this.

My Review:

Oh snap, ignore the cheesy title as clutch the pearls, this sexy sizzler was so deliciously steamy I was gasping for breath and desperately grasping for any and all liquid libations to rehydrate. I adored this lovely couple as they were well matched and had excellent chemistry, snappy banter, and superhuman stamina - especially for people who hadn’t been in any type of relationship for over a year. The storylines were fresh, interesting, and amusingly entertaining while the characters were uniquely engaging as well as alluring. This was my first exposure to the smooth and evocatively salacious word skills of Jamie K. Schmidt and she is naughty good as well as good and naughty.

Wild Wedding Hookup by Jamie K. Schmidt is a fun, steamy romance set in South Beach, Florida.

Mikelina Presley is a concierge at luxury resorts. With a bachelor party set to take over one of the exclusive vacation homes for two weeks, she’s been working online with Bastian Ainsworth, one of the groomsmen and soon to be brother-in-law to the groom to set up all the details for their event. The night before the party, she goes out with friends to a club and meets a sexy stranger only to discover before things go too far that it’s Bastian who has arrived early for the party.

But despite the complications – Mikelina is working for Bastian and he’s the client- they can’t deny the attraction between them for long. And when the groom keeps disappearing with his friends, Bastian and Mikelina end up using the tickets she’s garnered for themselves, enjoying some time together in and out of the bedroom. But Mikelina has kept some things from Bastian and Bastian has gone through one divorce already where his ex-wife was keeping secrets. Will their affair get the chance to become something more?

This is my first time reading this author and I’ll definitely be looking for more of her books! There are lots of steamy love scenes and the chemistry between Mikelina and Bastian is off the charts. But what makes the story enjoyable is the characters themselves. Mikelina is still dealing with the fallout from things her father did that have affected the whole family. Keeping the secret of her past from Bastian gets harder and harder as they grow closer.

As for Bastian, he discovered his now ex-wife had a gambling problem on their honeymoon, something she had kept hidden from him. He has difficulty trusting people now, especially women, so avoids any kind of commitment. He’s also having troublewith his sister’s fiance, not sure if she should trust him and his blowing off of Bastian’s plans to do things with his friends isn’t helping their relationship. With Mikelina he finds someone he can confide in, a partner he can see himself with for a longer term, and is already trying to figure out how to make things work when the bachelor party is done. Par for the course, the secrets start to come out and Bastian and Mikelina have to figure out if what they have is worth fighting for. Their happy ending is very satisfying. If you enjoy vacation type romances with strong and likable characters that can’t keep their hands off each other, I highly recommend this story!

I loved this story! Mikelina and Bastien will warm your heart.

I felt for Mikelina. She’s been through a lot and I hurt for the way she was treated. I was grateful to Kirk for seeing her potential and for not holding her father’s faults against her as everyone else did.

Bastien, wow! He is something else. It was good to see him let loose and live a little. I love how he and Mikelina meet. It sure gears up for a fun and exciting story. And their chemistry, woah….it is hot, hot, hot. These two have a crazy intense connection. But, Mikelina has a secret, Bastien is jaded from his past, and, Bastien’s trip is only for two weeks. What, oh what, is going to happen? You definitely want to find out.

This exciting story will warm your heart and leave you smiling.

Thanks to TLC Book Tours for providing me with an ARC of this novel.

Oh my goodness I loved this book!

Mikelina has a lot on her plate - although she's good at what she does, she has a secret in her past that keeps her from living her life. And Bastian, well, you can't help but fall for him, but he's been through some things that keep him from fully trusting people.

I had so much fun reading about their blossoming relationship while also getting to explore South Beach with them.

Despite the fact that this book is supposed to be a sexy read, it also has some emotional triggers that kept me hooked until the very end. I wanted Mikelina and Bastian to be able to set their pasts aside for each other, and I felt myself pulling for them throughout the entire read.

This sexy, sweet book is a quick read that is best enjoyed poolside with a fruity drink in your hand. Perfect for summer!

Thoroughly enjoyed this fun, sexy, and surprisingly sweet romp. The sexual chemistry is off the charts (so hot!) but I also enjoyed the emotional connection that quickly develops between Mikelina and Bastian. Both characters are interesting and I found myself quickly immersed in their relationship and invested in their happiness. The story flows well with plenty of humor, sexy times, and a great South Florida vibe. My first book by this author won't be my last!

Are you looking for a sexy, steamy, fast read that is exciting and surprisingly emotionally packed? Then look no further than Jamie K. Schmidt's Wild Wedding Hookup, launching on July 1, 2020 with Harlequin Dare. This book has the right mix of sexual chemistry, a bit of mysterious pasts, and a great South Beach, Florida back drop for a two-week upscale bachelor party.

Mikelina Presley is the concierge who has been assigned the two-week booking for a bachelor party, which just happens to be staying in the expensive villa that she owns and now rents out to pay the taxes thanks to her father's fall from grace. Her only dealings with the demanding and exacting Bastian Ainsworth have been through phone calls and emails, so when they meet the night before the party is due in South Beach, sparks fly without them realizing who they are to each other.

While Mikelina tries to keep Bastian at arm's length--he's her client, after all--a disappearing groom-to-be Jace forces Bastian and Mikelina to comb the hot spots of South Beach looking for him, and they can't deny their attraction. But Bastian's need to plan and schedule is blown out of the water by his future brother-in-law's disappearing acts, and Bastian finds that he starts to distrust everyone around him--including Mikelina. Is this just a fling or a burgeoning romance that's doomed from the start?

I really loved both Mikelina and Bastian. While Mikelina has some things happen to her in the past, she doesn't play the victim and has taken as much control of her life as she can. She does keep some things close, understandably, and that does hurt her chances with Bastian. While Mikelina and Bastian click almost immediately, Bastian's been burned by a previous relationship, and that baggage has tainted how he views other relationships now--his and those closest to him. He doesn't want to see his sister get hurt by marrying someone that might not love her, so he'll do anything to make sure that Jace is on the up-and-up.

I give Wild Wedding Hookup a five out of five. I really connected with both Mikelina and Bastian, and their chemistry was so fun. The writing just sucked me in from the first page, and I was immersed in the sights and sounds of South Beach very quickly. This one had a bit of everything packed into the compact size: humor, sexy times, emotion, baggage, and drama. I highly recommend this for romance lovers and it makes a fun, quick, and engrossing read.

Money doesn’t always bring happiness! This story is about Mikelina and Bastien. Bastien is setting up a bachelor party for his soon to be brother-in-law. He used the services of Mikelina to rent out her beach house, but he is not aware that the house belongs to her and that she is renting it out as part of Kirk’s properties. Mikelina has been trying to make it on her own and helping her mother out after the disaster of a life that her father put them both in. Luckily the beach house was in her name, so it was protected from what her father had done, but that was all she had to remind her of some of great memories. Now she is there renting it out and living in a cheap motel. Bastien arrives a day early and goes to the club owned by a friend and is about to leave when he gets a glimpse of a beautiful woman dancing alone, unknown to him that it is Miklena. It is pretty funny that he picks a name for her that is the same because he doesn’t’ know who she is. I love that the story had a lot of steamy scenes but it also had soft side of what happens when the one person you think will always protect you is the one that ends up hurting you the most. What does one do but stand up and shake it off and wish it never happened or become a different person altogether? One thing is for sure, you will not be able to put the book down once you start.

What I Loved:
I really loved the characters in this one! They made all the difference to the story. They were so likable and relatable that I couldn’t help but be drawn into their lives!

How I Felt:
The story features Mikelina, a concierge at a fancy resort. She’s working with Bastian, a groomsman, online to coordinate the events for the two-week bachelor party. After a chance encounter at a club, the two quickly find a connection.

The characters were so easy to enjoy. They made the story fun, but Bastian’s history with his ex-wife added a little tension to the story, which was a nice addition. The steam factor between the two is pretty great! I thought those moments were done well, and they were definitely wild!! Outside of those moments though, I loved that this was a solid story. The characters had backgrounds and personalities to get to know, and those scenes were perfectly built into the plot.

Overall, I really loved this story! The characters were wonderful, and it was filled with fun and exciting moments that made the book hard to put down!

To Read or Not To Read:
I would recommend Wild Wedding Hookup to readers who enjoy the hot, steamy scenes mixed with amazing characters!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

I don't normally read this kind of romance. But this was a good story. Mikelina works as a concierge. The house in Florida that she is working at is actually her house. Her father gave it to her shortly before his criminal activity and subsequent prison time. She is working with the bride's brother, Bastian, setting up a two week bachelor party! They have only communicated through emails; lots of emails.

Bastian doesn't trust the groom. He figures the Jace will flake out on his sister. Bastian was married once and it was during his two-week honeymoon that her true colors came out. Now Bastian is painting Jace in the same light as his ex-wife. Bastian leaves New York a day early for Florida. He can't get in touch with the concierge for get into the beach house early so he books a book at a hotel. A friend of his wants him to check out a new club that he co-owns. While he is at the club, Bastian spots a beautiful woman in the VIP section. Queue the sparks!

This book is written in a dual POV format. That is a favorite of mine. I get that glimpse into the characters' thoughts to really understand their actions during a scene.

Well thing get HOT and sexy for these two while trying to keep tabs on the soon-to-be-groom. This was a very sexy read that I would only recommend to someone over the age of 18.

Wow! What a terrific, steamy romance!

Bastien books a house in Florida for a two-week bachelor party for his future brother-in-law, and Mikelina is the concierge in charge of all the details. These two meet at a club the night before he's due to check in, and their instant chemistry was smoking hot! I absolutely loved the insta-love aspect, even though they each thought it was just a fling for far too long.

There are enough steamy, panty-melting intimate scenes for any three books, and I loved every bit of it. Bastien's carefully curated itinerary is being spent with Mikelina instead of with his future brother-in-law and his friends, who prefer to follow their own whims, and this pulling him out of his comfort zone is exactly what he needed.

Of course we have the scene where one finds out about all the secrets and horribly misunderstands the other's motives, but thankfully that interruption was brief and the reconciliation was absolutely perfect. I loved the beautiful HEA, loved the side story of Jace and Kitty's road to the altar, and loved that even her mom got her own HEA. As a bonus, Bastien’s fight with Pedro was just brilliant. I loved how he stood up for her even before he knew why.

Bastien and Mikelina are a perfect couple, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading their story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Pleasant read. This is a charming, yet steamy love story about two people Mikelina and Bastian. The two weeks bachelor’s party organised and paid for by Bastian for his sister’s impending wedding brings him in constant communication with South Beach’s concierge, Mikelina who is trying to run away from the consequences of his imprisoned, embezzling father. They meet at a club and sparks immediately fly between them, but no names. No need for names for a one-time hook-up. Is there? Come the morning though, with the realisation that Mikelina is the concierge who is there to make sure that all bookings for the bachelor party go without a hitch, not to mention that it is her house, the only thing left from her parent’s wealth. Instead of following the itinerary, the groom, on the other hand, has other ideas, flanked by his groomsmen, they come and go as they please, so the order-loving Bastien follows the plan and he and Mikelina becomes closer and closer. There are the obligatory complications and tension points that make this a well-written page-turner, an enjoyable read.

Mikelina is the concierge at a resort that is holding a bachelor party. She has been in contact with Bastian the client hosting the party online about the party but hasn't met him in person. One night she is out with some friends and ends up meeting a sexy hot stranger and hits it off. However just as things are heating up she realizes that he is Bastian her client and stops before things get really complicated. Bastian is drawn to Mikelina and doesn't want them working together to stop them from being together. She hasn't told Bastian everything about her past because they have just met but Bastian has been hurt by an ex with secrets before so trust isn't easy for him. Will this ends things between them? Can Bastian understand why she held some things back?

This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This was a nice, steamy romance that was a joy to read. With a strong story line, easy to love characters, and visually titillating detailed descriptions, this romance is one that you will enjoy.

Mikelina Presley, is trying to get out from her fathers criminal shadow. She just wants to be seen for who she is, not who her father is and what crimes he has committed. When she meets Bastien, she fails to tell him everything about herself, promising herself that she will tell him everything after Bastiens future brother in laws bachelor party weeks. Why ruin a good thing...enjoy it while it lasts.

Written as a 3rd person, multi pov with a HEA ending.

Wild Wedding Hookup is the kind of romance that takes me back to the summers of my high school years. The summers I'd spend with a pile of Harlequins next to me in my yard while I worked on my tan on a picnic bench.

Sure this book is a lot sexier than the ones I read...to many years ago, but Mikelina and Bastian's story was just the right kind of fun that kept me turning the pages.

There was a lot of great drama from Mikelina's family issues and even more so with Bastian's family, as his sister's groom to be is a bit...uh ...flighty!

These two had great chemistry and they shared some really sexy moments. OK they shared a lot of sexy moments, but that's what makes these types of reads so fun.

The conflict at the end was a bit predictable, but it was still a satisfying HEA for these two.

It was a great quick summertime read!

I thought this book was pretty original in concept, about a guys fortnight bachelor party. It had a few twists and turns, and little bit of mystery intertwined through the sub plots. Mikelina was the concierge for the two week stay, assisting wherever possible. She liaised on a regular basis with Bastien the soon to be brother in law who had planned the time to a schedule.
The differences in characters was great and I enjoyed the dynamic between Bastien and Mikelina, who were hot and steamy and could not keep hands to themselves. Lots of drama, friction, steam and some mystery makes an all round great read, and this book was certainly a good one.

When a control freak is put in charge of the bachelor party for his sisters intended, the stage is set for plenty of things that could go wrong. And when the person that put together the bachelor party week has problems of her own, the two are bound to collide.

The two fall in lust and everything seems to go on well, despite the antics of the future groom and his pals. But history has a way with dealing with good times.

There are some pretty funny moments in this bood and during the reading I was going to class it as a comedy. But I still con recommend it as a light romantic read. Enjoy yourself with this. I did.

Mikelina is the concierge at a luxury resort and when Bastien books a house for a two week bachelor party for his future brother-in-law, Mikelina is the one that handles all the details. The only dealings she has had with Bastien have been through emails and phone calls. So when they unexpectedly meet the night before the party the chemistry between them is off the charts. Despite Mikelina trying to keep Bastien at arms length, because he’s a client, when the groom disappears they team up to go in search for him. I really loved Bastien and Mikelina, their connection and chemistry. I really loved this book and highly recommend it.

Absolutely adored this steamy love story about making the best of every situation
Mikelina hides her past by not using her last name, but her past has a way of catching up with her. All of Bastien’s best laid plans for his sister’s future husband’s bachelor party go awry; making Mikelina’s insertion as concierge, the perfect foil for time well spent. The story follows an undeniable attraction between the two from email correspondence to accidental hookup to enjoying Bastien’s week. But Mikelina’s ability to be the best concierge she can be, and her secrets piling up along with Bastien’s need to protect his sister all come to a crescendo! I could not put the book down until I turned the last page, I was that engrossed in Mikelina and Bastien’s story.

Workaholic Bastien is trying to get to know and if possible like his sister's fiance so organises Jace's bachelor party/week, but being the control freak he is has Mikelina jumping through hoops as well as contacting her non stop leaving her want to rip her hear out. Neither of them expected the attraction they would feel for each other after they meet, but both are hiding things from each other and we are left to stand back and see their attraction build stronger and holding your breath as Mikelina starts making peace with her past so she can be with Bastien but knowing time is running out and it all may be too late!!!

Very well written and emotionally gripping. Several things going on but they are all very well blended to some together nicely. Author does an excellent job portraying the actions of others and how other past judgement based on your acquaintance instead of by your own character. Mikelina is a great character, I love how she handles herself. I like Bastain too, he's a little uppity but just needs a wake-up call and Mikelina hands it to him. Love this, one of the best I've read so far this year. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Bastian has been planning a bachelor party getaway for his future brother in law. Mikelina is the concierge that is helping with his demands. They had only worked together via email and phone so when they first met, they had no idea who the other was. Their attraction was immediate. The two had chemistry and connected in a number of ways. The story is a quick read and is enjoyable. The heat between the characters was good and their personalities seemed to work well. I enjoyed the story a lot. This is definitely my new favorite Harlequin romance I’ve read! Wild Wedding Hookup was a five star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 read for me. I’ve never read a Harlequin Dare title before, but holy steam Batman 🥵 I’m a sucker for romances with a wedding plot and I loved how this one played out. The characters were great, the setting was great, and I honestly didn’t want the book to end. I would have loved if this was a full length novel, but the pacing was perfect. I so enjoyed every second of this story. Seriously I highly highly recommend snagging this one if you need a sexy, steamy escape!

Habba! Habba! Habba! The heat level on this book is magma level hot. This interesting and entertaining story about Bastien and Mikelina’s journey to love, has got family drama, secrets, punch-ups, bedroom gymnastics, adventures, a proposal and an amazing apology, that will keep you engrossed and be unable to put the book down. First of all, I give the book 4 stars because Bastien and Mikelina's encounters are hot and I enjoy reading it. The book is well written but it is a bit predictable even if Bastien and Mikelina's chemistry is off the charts. And I think the author wants it to be a steamy romantic comedy with all of Bastien, Jace and his friends' behavior but I am not impressed that much because It's too messy with all of their misundersanding for each other.

This book is a great read. It got better with every chapter. There were some scenes that were a little improbable but overall a good amount of sex, dishonesty and lack of trust. Mikelina and Bastien’s characters are interesting and human and they are revealed as the story progresses. The secondary characters play an important part in the story and they provide some quirks to the story.
A little slow at the start but worth reading to the end.

Loved this story! The characters are amazing. They're real, relatable and have flaws. This is one of the stories that you immediately get hooked and become vested. There's every emotion a person can experience in these pages and it is so worth the chuckles, the eye rolls and the tears. I don't want to take away from the experience so, no details just my absolutely high recommendation!
