This is the 4th novel in the Business of Pleasure series and follows the romance between cyber security man Wes Brennan and lawyer Vivienne Grant.

The premise/hook for this one is fantastic - Wes is in jail framed for a cyber crime he didn't commit and lawyer Vivienne has to bail him out. The emotional drama magnified because a) Vivienne was his college sweetheart so there's loads of angst over their past break-up and b) she committed the hack he's accused of, because she's being secretly blackmailed.

I loved this one. The story is strong and really works to enhance the emotional drama. Our lovers are perfectly matched and make each other better people. I also love how strong Vivienne is and how Wes admires that about her.

An excellent addition to the dare line it's sexy, emotional with a good story.

Wes Brennan is released on bail having been wrongly accused of a crime he didn’t commit, only to find his new lawyer is his ex girlfriend, Vivienne Grant, and his bail conditions mean he has to live with her until the investigation concludes.
Despite their acrimonious break up some years ago, Wes and Viv’s chemistry is clearly still there, and the two find themselves scratching the itch before they even get back to Viv’s apartment. Indeed, it is soon clear that the biggest problem the two of them have is communicating with each other as they try to avoid looking back at what was or thinking beyond the sexual element of their current situation. As the complex legalities of the situation come to the fore, the two find themselves getting married to save the other from a possible jail sentence, and emotions come to the fore as the past threatens the possibility of future happiness for the couple.
In Wes and Viv, Taryn Leigh Taylor has created two likeable and well suited characters who vividly come to life almost from the outset, and the reader may find themselves a tiny bit in love with Wes long before he shows Viv his romantic side, revealing he kept the engagement ring he bought but never gave her six years previously, and Viv’s strong willed desire to keep Wes from finding out what happened at the end of their relationship adds a lot of emotional depth to the plot. Indeed as the story progresses, you find yourself more and more invested in what will become of the pair if only they could move on from what has gone before.
The plot is well paced and intriguing, and there are healthy doses of humour and emotion running alongside the sex and romance elements of the story as Wes finds a novel way of dealing with the electronic monitoring device he is forced to wear and Viv struggles to deal with the secret she has kept from Wes all these years. As the story runs towards its conclusion you really do root for a happy ending as the couple begin to finally communicate.
Overall, a well structured, intriguing romance with strong characters, and another likeable story from Taryn Leigh Taylor which I thoroughly enjoyed reading.

This book holds 21 Chapters(+Epilogue) and tells the story of Wes Brannon and Vivienne Grant. Now this story is part of the Business of Pleasure series, it is book 4. The other three books are called Forbidden Pleasure, Secret Pleasure and Wicked Pleasure. Although I have these I have not read them yet, so you do not need to read the rest of the series to read this book.
From the moment you meet Wes and Viv you can tell they have chemistry and not just a little bit. This chemistry is very obvious when you get to the first 'sexy' scene. I mean the scene will leave you hot under the collar and if you liked Fifty shades or the sexy scenes that are just pure delicious to read you will love the ones in this book. The scenes are pure perfection and you will enjoy them.
From the beginning there is hints that Wes and Viv have a past and this information intrigues the reader making them want to know more. This intrigues keeps you reading to find out what happened in the past that is brought up. As well as the past the two also have some really amazing word play that goes on, which just adds to their interaction.
There are also twist and turns in this book which just adds to the list of things that keep the reader intrigued and reading the book. This book is amazing and will leave the readers wanting more from the author.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series. More than that I can't wait to read more from this author.I know for a fact that I will definitely be reading the rest of the series. My advice to you guys is that you may want to clear your schedule as this book will make you want to finish it the day you start it.

I love this author and everything she writes. This book was no exception. I loved the other books in this series and was excited to see one more make it's way out. And one of my favorite characters came back for a visit. Yay!!
This is a second chance/reunion story and is absolutely perfect - and so filled with enticing goodness.

The chemistry between Wes and Vivienne was off the charts!

I love a good reconciliation romance and this was an excellent one which I thoroughly enjoyed even though I hadn't read the previous books in the series.

Guilty Pleasure is just so bittersweet. Not only is it the last of the series, but the last Dare from Taryn Leigh Taylor. If it’s any consolation though, it’s that Taryn certainly goes out with a bang. Guilty Pleasure is honestly one of her strongest novels in terms of character development, technique and storytelling as a whole. The first book in this series was wonderful, but it’s clear if you follow the series that Taryn has really cultivated her craft with this one.

Guilty Pleasure has the witty dialogue and clever prose Taryn is known for, but also has a dramatic edge and beautifully emotive quality about it. Wes and Viv are one of the most dynamic and sexy couples I think I’ve ever read. I really love how classic tropes like enemies to lovers and reunion romance have been combined to create a new sort of vibe here. Taryn takes tropes that have been written again and again, yet still manages to make them into something uniquely hers. The story itself flows effortlessly and I loved the flashback elements that just proved so pivotal to the story as a whole. This was clever, the pacing and prose go hand in hand and you never feel like things are going too slow. It’s fasted paced, edgy, sexy and really romantic. The intrigue started in the first book of the series runs right through them all, and ends in a shocking finish I know I didn’t see coming.

I think if you want well written, witty prose with strongly defined characters, smouldering heat (did I mention Wes? G.O.D.) and just a really intriguing read, this is perfect. It is part of a series, but to be completely honest with you it could be read as a standalone. Though I recommend you read them all.

Exs who still love each other but refuse to admit it with old secrets between them and a dash of corp espionage.

Amendment 12/10/21 This was my first bk in this series. But it's actually the last bk in the series. I still like Viv and Wes a lot. But relative to the other bks this my least favorite. There isn't a lot of corporate espionage. We get the after effects of corp espionage from the other bks. There are only a few settings in the bk. It's mostly in Viv's apartment. But it is second chance romance. It's been a few years since Viv and Wes hashed it out. They have so much tension between them. But also a lot of love and hurt.So trust me it's good fodder. I just spoke a little too soon in first review. I would recommend reading it in order if you can.
