Let's start with the obvious, vampires are awesome. They've been covered in so many ways though, that it's difficult to give them a good, fresh voice. Kyt does it though, and he does it well. The story follows Elisabeth Bathory, a vampiric police officer. She oversees paranormal affairs involving mortals and vampires, ensuring that humans aren't being used nefariously for vampire food. Unfortunately, mortals are starting to show up dead, and no one knows why. So Elisabeth must find out, and the results are fantastic. This gritty, but dry humor book gives you a great feel for the streets, a fresh perspective on vampires and everything in-between. Check it out!

A very modern tale of lusty vampire Elisabeth Bathory as she struggles with both her feelings and a threat against humanity from her own kind.
Kyt's second book is as funny, exciting and saucy as the first, recommended.

Good read, well written

Who doesn't like a vampire story wrapped up inside a conspiracy then sprinkled with who done it?

Not me, that's for certain. This is a good tale that is written in a way that keeps the story moving forward at a good pace. Sometimes it leaves you breathless in need of a rest others you're turning the pages to find out the next part of the story.

Well written book with lovely characters. It's an old tale retold in an new way.

This is the second book by Kyt Wright I've read, the first being the sci-fi book 'Sirkkusaga'. 'Love Bites' is a completely different story but it did not disappoint. I really enjoy Kyt's writing style, it has just the right degree of humour and tongue-in-cheek moments and the author once again creates a strong, independent (and slightly stubborn) female lead. Highly recommended.

A super read with yet another strong independent female lead and if she should take a bite out of you, it could lead to an interesting night.
Lusty vampires, bloody murders and a police procedural all wrapped in one, who could ask for more?
Another highly recommended read.

A fun read

I have always loved reading or watching just about anything that has vampire in it. And this one caught my eye. The concept of the story was a good one... One of the most intriguing subjects in history as a vampire living her undead life as a British police officer... The only qualms I had was, it felt a bit rushed. I realize its impossible to make everyone happy. But I felt the story could have explored just a bit more on the main character. Other than a few typos, it was an enjoyable book.

I've just started this and there's a typo every page, plus a greater number of miscellaneous punctuation issues. I'm normally not this precious, but this bothered me enough that I had to stop reading it, and even looked up the publisher. On their site they say this:
When you publish with us, we will turn your manuscript into a bookshop ready product ... We will edit and proofread but your manuscript should be polished up and checked before hand.
Apparently "we will edit and proofread" is a lie. Maybe the book is good, I don't know. I feel kind of bad for the author. Either way, I'm definitely staying away from BLKDOG publishing in the future, very shoddy work.
