Kida is the youngest princess of Foxhill and Mateyo is the reluctant young king of Harewillows. Both feel they are unprepared for their royal roles and responsibilities. To cope, they often slip into a naive mindset of acceptance and romantic notions. When Kida and Mateyo meet each other, they finally begin to grow a new confidence in themselves and their royal opinions.

About the author

Well, my name is Ravyn Karasu. I chose the name for myself years ago as a play on words. Ravyn, as in the bird, raven, and Karasu after the Japanese word for crow. Get it? Even after all these years, I still enjoy the name.

I was born in Cape May, New Jersey on April 30, 1982. I knew I wanted to write stories since I was four years old and I’ve worked really hard my whole life to improve and become the best writer I could possibly be. It was my dream to be published and to publish many novels one day.

I published my debut novel "Akhetaten's Gates" in 2008, following up in 2014 with more titles.

I currently live in North Carolina where I am always working on something writing-related, be it artwork, writing, editing, researching, or brainstorming.

I like to write in a plethora of different genres, including: Fantasy/Dark Fantasy, Emotional Drama, Historical Fiction, Romance/Erotica, Science Fiction, and really anything that comes to mind that I feel like writing.
