Cute Thanksgiving story about Mr. Wobble the turkey who farmer Joe invites to Thanksgiving dinner. Mr. Wobble prepares most carefully that week with his grooming, the singing and talking, and his manners. And finally the big day is here.
I was so afraid for Mr. Wobble that I wanted to yell at him to run away but a surprise awaits us all. What an enjoyable story and a new way to see the Thanksgiving feast. Perfect for your 3-6 year old.
Finally a thanksgiving book for vegetarians/vegans!
I’m thrilled to finally get to read a Thanksgiving book to my kids that doesn’t involve EATING the turkey! This book is super cute, and has amazing illustrations!! I wish the main dish was a bit more “on-point” for a typical thanksgiving tradition meal, but otherwise everything was perfect. 5-stars for sure!!
My children love these little books. They thoroughly enjoy each and every story, as if they are all unique and individual without any cause for similarity among them. Even though sometimes, they might seem tedious and repetitive to me as a parent, I do enjoy being able to read short-stories to my children that are clean and respective.
so fun, i love fall time, turkey time ... what is not to love??! great illustrations. i keep finding all these great books lately that would be awesome coloring books for kids too ... i mean these pics are just amazingly good!! (recipes included!!)
This is a beautiful way to show our little vegans how we can love food and our animal friends at the same time! ❤ I have to admit I got a little nervous there for a bit... Had to make sure that I was reading a children's book! Lol! Love it!
What a cute little story. Made me laugh. I just knew it was doom for the turkey. Happy it wasn't. Lol!! Fooled me... Love the illustrations. Tons of talent throughout.
Mr. Wobble was told by the farmer that they were having him for dinner at Thanksgiving. Excited, Mr. Wobble primped and preened, happy to oblige. Mr. Wobble told his barnyard friends he was invited and they had concern that he was going to be the feast. When his animal buds tried to save him, he would not budge. When the farmer came, axe in hand, the animals were sad. Mr. Wobble followed the farmer to his house, and the rest was his story. #HappyThanksgiving #GoVegan
Becky Cumming delivers a great new story about Thanksgiving in "Gobble Gobble Mr. Wobble." The story follows the excitement of Mr. Wobble the Turkey as he receives an invitation to have Thanksgiving dinner with Farmer Joe and his family. Cumming's provides a great twist that a Turkey is having dinner with a family instead of being the dinner. This story does a great job highlighting that Thanksgiving can have more options rather than turkey and animals in general for people that have different dietary lifestyles. Cumming's also provides some great Thanksgiving recipes for vegetarians at the end of the book. Zuana Svobodova once again does an outstanding job with the story illustrations. I recommend this story for children of all ages.
What a fun, cute story! Mr. Wobble is so excited when the Farmer tells him he is having some special guests to Thanksgiving dinner this year and for him to prepare to join them. Of course all, as he preens and prepares, all of the other animals hang their heads, feeling very sad for him as they expect him to BE dinner. Everyone is in for a big surprise on Thanksgiving day! Beautiful illustrations and so well written. Perfect for small children but you might want to read it yourself first to be prepared for the ending. Then you will know if it's right for your family! A fun, quick read on either paperback or eBook!

I received my copy of this book via a free giveaway and have gratefully chosen to review it.
This is a great book with a very surprise ending. What's going to happen at the Thanksgiving dinner? I believe if I read right, that there will be a happy ending. The illustrations make the turkey the happiest turkey in the barnyard. Farmer Joe comes by and told turkey they were having him for dinner this year. He was very happy and did a happy dance. On Sunday he made himself look good. On Monday Farmer Linda fed Wobble extra food. On Tuesday he worked on his perfect gobble. What did he do on Wednesday? You get the fun of listening/reading to find out. Yipee!!
The story is absolutely adorable! Mr. Wobble is so excited that this year he's the guest for Thanksgiving dinner. He wants to look his very best so he grooms himself until every feather is perfect. We're all in for a surprise come Thanksgiving Day when Mr. Wobble makes his entrance. The illustrations are beautiful and the book is well written. Even animal lovers will love this book!
I LOVE eating meat and I loved this book and it's friendly gentle vegetarian message. It had a great suspenseful story, beautiful illustrations and a nice healthy message without pushing too hard. The kids in my class loved it and I really enjoyed reading it to them.
If you have a child who doesn't like the idea of eating animals, this is the book for them. It's Thanksgiving, and the family is getting ready to have their pet turkey for dinner. He's the guest of honor, so what will be the main dish? Cute artwork and vegetarian recipes included.

OK I just got done with this book, and I have to say I was like the mice, I wanted the turkey to RUN! I just couldn’t believe a children’s book would invite a turkey to be a special guest of honor on thanksgiving! I never saw the ending! It’s ok, it’s a good ending! I loved it!
