After running away a year ago, Bobbie finally has peace. She's given birth and has re-established her life. Suddenly, she's finds herself in chaos when the shadow of her past, Agostino, her husband crosses her path.
"You really thought I was just going to let you walk away?" he chuckled, sending a chill up her spine. "You actually thought after finally getting you, tasting you, fucking you, having you at my side, I was just going to let you leave me? No," he adds with a twisted smirk, "we're in this forever. You're mine...till death do us part."
With Agostino, there comes a level of danger and this time, his presence brings someone much more sinister who may destroy all he's come to love.

So I haven’t written a review in awhile but this two book series really disturbed me. Stop reading now If you don’t want spoilers for both books.
In the first book we meet Bobbie and Agostino. After being robbed by local drug dealers for his own drugs Bobbie’s fiancé Freddie makes a deal with the head of a Columbian Cartel (Agostino) to give up Bobbie if he gets robbed again. Of course Bobbie’s fiancé who seems to be an idiot gets robbed again.
Bobbie is brought to Agostino’s home in Columbia and is beaten and raped by Agostino repeatedly. When he takes her back to the fiancé after her time is up, he kills him. On side note, Bobbie still wanted to go back to the trifling fiancé being fully aware of the deal. But back to the plot...Unbeknownst to Bobbie this was all a set up by Agostino to keep her. He forces her to marry him and get pregnant, then he beats her while pregnant because she said hi to his cousin. By the end of the book Bobbie is able to escape.
Doesn’t this guy sound like a gem? But did I stop reading? Nope, I had to see in part 2 how the author was going to redeem this evil ass husband.
This second book which shouldn’t have even been written was worse than the first.
We now have Bobbie living in the Florida keys happily with a new identity with her baby. To be honest the plot didn’t make any sense to me, just know that Agostino’s cousin finds her. Now Bobbie is forced to go back to her evil ass husband who is once again beating her ass. There is no redemption, talk of counseling a therapist anything to deal with his issues. By the end of the book his redemption is his willingness to set her free with $900,000 to live on. On another side note, why was the head of a cartel who is a multimillionaire so cheap? She can’t even get a solid million. But I digress, this was probably one of the worse series I’ve read in a real long time. In the end, Bobbie stays because he took a bullet for her earlier in the book (he had on a bullet proof vest🤦🏽♀️).
If you want to read a book that deals with abuse, childhood issues and redemption I recommend you read Francis Phal’s Monster.
If I could give this whole series negative 👎 stars I would.

He kidnaps her, let's one of his men slap her twice. He locks her up for three days without food, water and a place to use the restroom. He drags her by her hair, he throws her to the floor, kicks her, chokes her and punches her. He also verbally abuses her and calls her weak and stupid when she cries. But he does all this because that's the way his daddy treated his mom and she never left and so he doesn't any other way to show love. Righhht, the ole "daddy didn't hug me enough" excuse.
We're supposed to believe he loves her and that is why he took her from her useless boyfriend. I don't know how or when he fell in love with her. Prior to kidnapping her he never spent any time with her. They never spoke, shared a meal or a drink, a joke or a story. He would come to her and her boyfriend's apartment, she'd text her boyfriend, make them lemonade and leave the room. So how did he fall in love? Especially when he despised the reasons she stayed with Freddie. And this guy was no Alpha. An Alpha would never treat a woman like this. This guy was a psychotic abusive sociopath. If you're going to write about Alphas then learn the difference and stop telling women that looks and money should override respect and courtesy.
And Bobby? She's the type of women we should aspire to become? She was a doormat and a delusional one at that. Do you honestly believe that women who are abused the way she was still get sexually aroused by their abuser? Do you honestly expect us to believe it. I dare you to go to a support group and ask if they do? "Yes, he beat me and raped me and humiliated me every chance he got but he's such a great kisser I couldn't help but fall in love". And I kept asking myself why exactly did she stay? Seriously, what prevented her from literally walking out the door?
You get two stars because of the great character development and story line. You get your Woman Card taken away because you portray us as weak, mindless creatures control by our libidos who would settle for an abusive relationship instead of demanding our worth.
Minus the incorrect spelling/ incorrect words, this book sure did have potential. This isn’t the first book I’ve read where the husband was abusive and he then turned into a loving man. Clearly Agostino had some issues that weren’t dealt with and it portrayed in his adulthood. As for Bobbi, I really don’t know what to say about her because in spite of the POV being from her it was as if it still wasn’t about her but more about Agostino...it was an interesting story, like I said it has potential. Nevertheless, I’d be looking out for this author to see if her work improves
The conclusion, happy to see Carmine finally was able to show love in the end. I enjoyed the conclusion and glad to see they made their relationship work with everything they had to endure.
Man, very disappointed with the continuation of Bobbie & Agostino love story. It just seemed like Ms. Bennett rushed this one. So much grammatical errors made it a hard read. There wasn't any fire or chemistry between the two nor any hot, toe curling scenes. It was dry and I had so look forward to more action. Just disappointed. SMH
That’s the question I’ve been asking myself because book one was great but book two had me shaking my head in disappointment. I felt that the female lead caved too quickly so stuck with an abusive man and it wasn’t worth it . I felt like she deserved better but she settled and I hated that. So to some it all up I hate book two.
i hate read this garbage because I read the first one which was just as trashy but i needed to find out how it ends. The book needs to be edited, the author didn't know the difference between Voíla(phrase) and viola(musical instrument) and other errors like the heroine asking the baby " you hunger?". The story could have been redeemed with the basic plot of hate to love, had she not made the hero an abuser. Both books are riddled with terrible grammar, appaling editing and google translated spanish.
Though I didn’t really agree with the premise of this book(kidnapping, rape, physical abuse & Stockholm Syndrome) I honestly have to say I liked this book.
I read the reviews before actually reading it, but all they served to do was pique my interest.
I liked this story & the series, it was really well written with the exception of grammar and misspellings and could have been tweaked to be even better. This was my first read by this author, good job!
Bobbie Smith has finally gotten away from Agostino Carmine, but that doesn’t mean that she’s out of danger. Agostino spent a year thinking that his wife was dead. When he finds her, he has no intention of letting her go.
This one was way quicker than I expected, and it really could have all been one book. I really appreciated the fact that Bobbie got to kind of take back her power.
Again this is for people with who like romances Problemattic themes.
So just a fair warning this book has a lot of misspelling and a couple of errors. It needs to be proof read again. But its not as bad as book one. But its a problem that had me confuse. I found myself having to reread what I was reading more than once.
But if you're like myself, you'll be able to get over this and really enjoy this book.
Another issue with this book is the fact that it seems shorter than the first book. This isn't bad, but it kept it very much to the point. WHICH isn't bad either. Esp for this book. It actually made the book that much enjoyable.
Now for the postive.
" Agostino reached for her hair, forgetting that it wasn't long anymore, his hand instead hooking on to her black joggers.
Her screams pierced the air as Agostino turned her around. Thinking fast, she quickly kneed him in the jaw, causing a loud groan to fall from his lips.
Bobbie pivoted around to take off, but Agostino caught her leg. She tried to kick free, but he gripped both her legs forcefully, halting her kicks.
Agostino climbed on top of her wriggling body and pinned her dainty hands above her head with one hand, using his other to pull out his gun.
He glared down at her as he took the safety off.
"Do it, Agostino. I don't care anymore. I know you're never going to let Emilio and I go, and I'd rather be dead than to live that way. No matter how hard I tried to see the good in you for Emilio's sake, you're never going to change. You're destined to be just like your father. You are just like your father." Bobbie exposed wild tears running down her face.
She was done with Agostino's shit.
If he was going to off her, so be it. She wasn't going to tiptoe around him in fear with her child.
Agostino stared down at her blankly, his green eyes losing a bit of color. Slowly, he slid off of her and onto the carpeted floor below.
"G-Go." He struggled to say. "
YESSS PEOPLE!!!!
She FINALLY fought him back!
I was extremely proud of her when she fought him back. When she pointed out to him that he's just like his father who he didn't want to become.
I was extremely confused when they somehow ended up on the floor. I kept rereading the entire scene ( since thats only a little part of the scene ) and I could not figure out how they ended up on the floor.
Maybe other people who read this figure it out. But I as I said earlier I could not be more prouder of her.
Agostino better watch out, she is no longer that girl from the first book. She a woman who will die and fight to protect those she loves. And she will protect herself, or die trying.
So while I was reading the first book, I couldn't figure out how they could possibly be together. I couldnt think of a possible way for the two to be with one another, with everything he did.
But he if he's anything, hes determine to have his wife and kid. He wants Bonnie love and his son and he makes it very clear. And as the saying goes if theres a will then theres away.
Because of the circumstances, of a stalker trying to kill them, that they end up together.
I really like this book and in a werid way happy they found there happy ending. I do know for myself that wouldnt not go down. A lot of the choices she made wouldn't not have gone down. But everyone live their own lives, and have their own relationships.
I guess I can start by saying, I am not an author. I have no knowledge of the editing process when publishing a book. However, I did learn in Elementary, and all the way up to high school that you should read and re-read and re-read again to check your writing for errors; grammatical or otherwise. Again, I am ignorant to the process of writing a book, but COME ON... And what exactly is the job of an editor? Did this author use one? Is it too expensive to hire a good one? There were so many errors in this book. But the one that was the kicker for me (had me laughing so hard) was when the author tried to incorporate the title of the book “In Too Deep” in book 1. But she failed miserably using “into deep”. Seriously??? I was literally laughing so hard at a book that is no where near a romantic comedy.
Now, I saw negative reviews regarding the subject matter of the story. I have never been, nor personally know anyone who has been in an abusive relationship. I have heard a lot of horror stories though. Not really sure how I feel about this author’s portrayal of the subject. I definitely would not recommend this book to anyone who has been through it. The author doesn’t really address how the “hero” redeems himself, in my opinion. So, for me, the ending was unrealistic. The only thing that was positive about the situation for me was the heroine finally getting a good lick in.
Overall, this author needs to do better with the editing. A couple errors is expected, but too many is distracting to the reader. And this series had SO MANY!
I read a ton of dark romances. Many with content warnings a mile long. But this one missed the mark on the romance. I feel like when you read these stories you know that male lead is going to be a hot mess, but the male lead should eff up everyone BUT the female lead. That was not the case with this. He abused this woman from beginning to end. I was at 64% of the 2nd book and he was still choking her out! Now I’m the type to love the villain of every story but this was a lot. I saw all these 5 star reviews, were we reading the same thing? I gave it two stars because I did read both books, I like the plot and I feel it could have been great if this guy had one redeeming quality. He wasn’t a ‘Touch her and Die’ type. He was a I will choke you out, slap you silly for breathing type. Even if he was like this in the first book the 2nd book should have given us something. I’m not even marking stars down for the typos truly but I believe that 50% of them could have been caught with just a second read through. I love reading poc female leads but that one lick to the nose Bobbie got in was not enough.
This is part two of my review (part 1 is under book1). This book is for you if you like dark themes and (like myself) enjoy difficult setups, to see how the author will get to the HEA.
I thought this book series was a missed opportunity to discuss BW choice of mate… like why was Bobbie with Freddy? Why did she stay even after she found out he was dealing? … and to talk about resilience and mental health. No one sought therapy or counselling at any point in this book. She was sold, kidnapped, raped and witnessed several murders, but no counselling? For real?
I also don’t agree with the tacked on epilogue with the HEA because Agostino had not changed at all. He was still violent and unstable. He was ready to beat her in front of the baby, and now he’s child appropriate? Because he just decided? We should have seen that thought process. His learning to handle his rage and a proper apology for his behaviors. People with these problems get help and can learn to be better. We should have gotten to see this.
He was mean, abusive, and his anger knew no bounds, at a drop of a hat he offed you with no remorse. You wonder if someone like that can love!? He can be passionate, tender and loving at time , and boom she said something out of pocket, to him anyway, and he turned into that abusive monster who beaten her, slapped, choked…She escaped for a whole year, while he thought she was dead… fast forward,he found them & she decided she would rather die than living in fear and been abused…and definitely not in front of her sweet baby. So she fought back!! And miracle of miracles Agostino changed his way… he hatef been like his father and that was the beginning of his turning point…
I like the 10 years later epilogue, I can see the change and they really made it. My sweet Milio is almost a teenager!! 🥰🥰
You know I wasn’t going to review this book because abuse of any kind and the person stays is a real He*l No for me. But Bobbie is real sweetheart and did the best she could in spite of her circumstances.
After reading part 1 I wasn't sure if I was supposed to want Bobbie with Agostino. He wasn't just an alpha, he was an abusive SOB, who had her on the verge of suicide...I worry that the author just had him switch up. That doesn't happen. He literally kicked her and threatened her life repeatedly. I needed her to get hers! There was only one scene where she fought back! At least there was that! I still feel like the outside threat made her forget all those beatings too quickly. I honestly thought for a minute that Andres might be the better man for her. What does it say about us that enjoy reading about her suffering but not her own triumph? I felt her strength as a mother but weakness as a woman who's been beatdown by a man and ultimately accepts the abuse. The ending wrapped up too quickly for me. I craved more suffering from him. I will read more from this author in the hopes that her female characters are stronger in future.
This was such a good follow-up to the first story. The writer picks up from the first and doesn't let off the gas. We see in this story two characters that have grown but still afraid to commit. I love the fact the Bobbie has grown as woman and become stronger. I love that Carmine realizes that almost losing his wife to admit what he knows all along. Now just as good as this story was it was bad as well. It is so very important to have a second or third set of eyes to comb through for mistakes. There were quite a few that came at critical points in the story and lessen the impact. I think a rewrite should happen, but overall this was a entertaining series and a really good way to spend time.
Ok .First off this book should have gotten a 5 star review. Editing is should a major part of writing and I don't see how writers pay for editing and get such shotty work. Now about the story I'm so glad that agostine and Bobbie were able to make it work because I was a little afraid for and minute in how ago was acting when he first came in contact with Bobbie and milio. Andreas knew that ago loved Bobbie but didn't know how to properly show her .To think ana was causing all the problems from the grave was a good twist to this book .I hope that we may see a book with Andreas and and more of the carmine family .Great read and I would recommend this series
I was looking forward to part two of this book, after reading it I came to the conclusion that it was a very interesting read. Howe, I stand my ground that romanticizing domestic violence is not a good thing. Bobbie was beating, raped and humiliated by Agostino yet the author of this book found a way to redeem his character? Unbelievable, I’m really disappointed on that part, normalizing these things is uncalled for, I know this is just fictional but the concept and context of the book is just wrong in so many levels. Other than few grammatical errors, the book was a good read and things were from a different perspective.
But one reader was right it need to be rewriten because of the missing words an misspelling. The ending need to change because we cannot go from bad to good without showing the reader how we got there so yes we are missing some important parts that get the reader to great ending. For this man was abused to this woman. Shot this man wouldn't have woke the next morning after putting hands on me. So No you don't change over night you work on it to help yourself an we the reader need that to accept he had change from a bad man to this loving husband who care. I did enjoy it just need some work then it will be a great book.
I didn't like anything about either of the books! He literally beat and raped this woman the entire first book. Nothing was off limits, he kicked, chocked, backhand, slapped! He even went as far as hitting her while she was 8 months pregnant. I can't figure out,For the life of me why someone to be so smart but let not just one man dog her but 2!!! How in the world can you turn around and fall in love with a man who made your life a living he##. He even allowed his men to hit on her. I would never recommend this book to anyone! It was truly disgusting!!! If I could give it no stars I would
So, well this story was inevitable. And all because of Ana and one of her deluded play boys. I’m glad Agostino finally woke up to the fact that he should have been treating Bobbie better all time. Took the idiot long enough. I was literally excited that she gave him back what he gave her by backhanding that 🤬🤬🤬. Let him feel how she felt when he beat her whenever he got mad at her.
All in all, I liked the series.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I was so worried after reading book 1. I hated the abuse so much, I had declared that I would not read the 2nd in the series. But, I was too nosey not too. I'm so glad I did. The ending was unexpected. I didn't think the key players would make it.
There were typos, but not enough to prevent a 5 🌟 rating!
I thought the first book was something but I was wrong book 2 was explosives love me Agonisto was a man on a mission to get his family back. By any means necessary to do it. He did it no apologies for how he did it.Some people may find both BOOK a little to much for them but for me I love both books.Next BOOK💖💖💖💖💖💖☺☺☺☺☺
I was waiting to see how Agostino would redeem himself...While I liked the story...there were just too many typos and what was up with the pages in red wording. I just don't see why this is even allowed to be published...come on. I try to support the various authors and in exchange I expect to be able to enjoy the story without having to guess what is being said.
This book is full of errors. Like on every page there’s an error. A misused word, spelling or missing word. I almost didn’t want to read the second book because the first book lack proofreading. However, I did finish the series. I find that it was a good story but could have had a more suspenseful ending. Keep writing author, you’re sure to work out all your hiccups.
Had to read this book because the first ended on a cliff hanger. But once again the grammar and spelling were really bad. The story line was all over the place. This book was not checked for errors before printing. I really did enjoy the first but not this one so much. However, this was my first time reading this author and I would read her books again but I would download a sample first.
Bobbie watched her fiancé get murdered by his drug dealer and found herself kidnapped, abused and married to him. Both stories captured my attention and kept it ‘til the very end! The sex scenes lived up to the title on a different level...such love should be experienced by every women!!!🦋
I did enjoy reading the conclusion of Agostino and Bobbie's story. It was very entertaining, action packed and a little suspense. But this book and the first has some grammar issues which I knew beforehand. But I wanted to know what happened with Bobbie and Agostino.
