Lars Merrick is part of an elite SEAL team, but he's been SEAL-sitting his teammate at the hospital far too long. When he hears the sweet voice of a woman in trouble, he can't help himself. Finding Jessica Fisher isn't something he expected, but finding a boy genius who may change the course of the world is beyond his expertise. Can he keep Jessica and the boy safe without losing himself in the process?
Thank you for reading my bio and my books! I live and work in Dallas, TX. I'm the mother of two amazing daughters and two fantastic, intelligent grandsons, with one more on the way, and a wonderful son-in-law. I love to cook, travel, and write, but I'm also an avid reader. Being from a military family, my books often center around strong, military men but I also LOVE strong, independent, intelligent women. Lars and Jessica, both were so awkward, yet they worked really well together. I really liked how very early on both of them acknowledged this and were honest with each other. It was this that had the potential to cause issues for them at the end, but thank goodness both had people they talked to to help put them on the right path.
It really sucked the situation that Jessica found herself in, so glad that she had Lars and the other guys there to help her. But I feel like the real star of this one was the boy. Oh man...he would switch from super scary smart to little boy so fast, you couldn't help but to love him and want things to work out.

Another great story and weirdly more evil Russians were part of this. I always knew they were not a loving type of person, but for a father to literally beat his daughter with a baseball bat really takes a very cruel and evil heart all because she was such a brilliant Navy officer that could create ways to help the American submarine systems and then she has a genius son with the same capability and this moron wanted to steal him for his own purposes to help with his country, but basically turn the grandson into a little human robot. Thank goodness for teacher Jessica that took him to the hospital because of a broken arm, but he was smart enough to escape his supposedly father and was found roaming the beach where the Seal team was and brought him to their home. Lars was a smart and great team member but really didn't understand the psych of females and had a hard time communicating with them. Wow on realizing that Tommy's real grandfather was a wonderful and loving General for the Navy and was thrilled to take Tommy into his home with his wife. Happy reading.
I chose this rating because this was a really good book. I really enjoy most of the characters. This was a book of betrayal, manipulation, abuse, compassion, And protecting yourself and others. I really like this book It was very interesting. I really enjoyed Merrick and Jessica story. I think they made an amazing couple. They both had that little moments of being shy around each people. But they loved being around their friends and each other. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers.
Wow! These seem to get better with each one. There is very little sexual content in this one. What there is is plenty of romance between a shy SEAL and a teacher, caring hearts from all the SEAL'S to a ten year old boy who is a genius to drama from the boy's evil grandfather. There are a couple of places you may want a tissue or two handy. I know I did. I love this series.
I really enjoyed this addition to the My SEAL Boys Series. It was so nice to see the big quiet Lars find his soulmate in Jessica. The big bonus in this story though was Thomas, who I hope grows up to get his own book someday, maybe as President or Secretary of Defense.
I love this series! I love this authors writing! She puts so much into her characters, but her stories are compact but with big detail to keep the readers interest and hearts 💕I know I'm hooked😘 I can't wait to get my hands on the next book😍
Really good story, fast and exciting. Lots going on. A sweet little boy to tug on everyone’s heartstrings, so a few tears as well. I love a apply ending.
